As if the moment was not humiliating enough with Ryuko rolling over Kate like it was nothing, the woman now took time to pose as she continued to squeeze the life out of her and to further rub salt in the wound, she did not sound winded at all, her words said with a cold certainty. On one hand, it did instil doubt in Kate as to whether she could compete with a woman of that calibre...

But she did before and she was not giving up on those fights before, and she was sure not planning to do any of that now, bracing herself to try and resist with all her might even as she felt her opponent's thighs like an iron vice squeezing around her head, forcing pained cries to escape her lips, she still refused to give up, struggling for every breath to fight on!

Ryuko felt Kate struggle and she kept squeezing focusing solely on the hold and choking out Kate. However As Ryuko kept the hold locked in she was feeling Kate slowly wiggle loose. Ryuko shook her head and grit her teeth trying to keep squeezing away hoping to make Kate tap out before she could escape! Ryuko wasn't going to let go of something effective and she hoped that the hold was doing its job otherwise Kate could escape if she didn't submit.

Kate felt Ryuko redouble her efforts, her fingers slipping as the woman's muscles tensed further, cutting out air and making Kate panic for just a second. That was already enough to make her vision blur; she couldn't breathe, and she knew if she didn't get out of this hold, this could all be over soon. That realisation snapped her out of her panic.

She couldn't just force the other woman's legs apart with her arms, all she'd do that way would be slow her down but she still resorted to use one of her hands to buy herself a bit more time while she clenched the other one into a fist and bagin to slam it into her opponent's thigh, just anove the knee from the back. She knew there was a nerve running there, and if struck, it would make the woman's leg go limp for a second or two. Just enough for her to then roll away, though she'd probably need more time to recover than Ryuko did, but before worrying about that, she had to escape from this!

Ryuko felt Kate starting to hit her and each hit sent a jolt down her leg! Ryuko felt the numbness setting in and she let go of the hold! She had to roll away and rub her leg, finding it difficult to rise back to her feet. She was slow to get up and wobbling as her numb leg was not steady. This did not bode well for her as she had seen her momentum stall out entirely. She was trying to get her bearings back as quickly as possible though, hoping she could get back on track.

Kate rolled away, getting to the ropes. She had to stop herself from gasping for air, instead sucking in breath slowly; her lungs still burned, but at least she didn't cough up a storm. Still, it took a second before her vision cleared, and her body hurt after the beatdown she was on the receiving end of. Luckily, her tactic seemed to have been a bit more impactful than she thought it would be, as Ryuko seemed to still be regaining the feeling in her leg.

This was finaly a chance for her to lay some hurt on the other woman and though she was still far from recovered, she forced herself to stand, letting her weight fall back against the ropes to bounce off them, picking up speed as she would rush at her opponent, seemingly aiming for a lariat only to duck low at the final second to instead split Ryuko in half with a spear!

Ryuko was struggling and Kate was now surging! Ryuko heard the footsteps and tried to move, but instead she was absolutely bulldozed to the mat by the spear! She groaned and kicked the mat in pain underneath Kate trying to shove or push her away while she writhed on the mat in pain. Kate was coming back and Ryuko was stuck, unable to halt the momentum of her opponent as she was on the mat with he wind knocked right out of her!

Kate was still recovering from the beating she had taken so far, especially the headscissor, taking the wind out of her, so though she managed to land the spear in retaliation, she was struggling to take proper control with Ryuko shoveing her away. Trying to force it in her state, against an opponent of comparative stature, was clearly not working, and it would be moments before the woman would be back on her feet and ready to lay into Kate once more. With that in mind, she decided that the best course of action would be to weaken her opponent bit by bit and picking her first target, Kate would grab her arm, falling back and wrapping her legs around it and over the other woman's chest as she'd yank it back, hoping to do as much damage as she could before her opponent could find a way out of it!

Ryuko groaned and then let out a yelp as her arm was cranked back in the arm bar! She kicked the mat a few times and shook her head growing frustrated at this painful reversal of momentum! Ryuko reached over with her free hand to pull on her trapped arm to try to relieve some of the pressure. From there she used her legs to lean into Kate and roll her onto her shoulders. Ryuko was still stuck but with Kate's shoulders down she was the being pinned and the official saw this. They slid in to place to begin the count with Ryuko knowing that Kate was either going to get pinned or let go.

Kate felt Ryuko move to roll her up but kept the hold, the longer she could keep it, the more damage it would do and in a match like this, every little counted, especially when the early stage was dominated by her opponent. Still, she knew she needed to be prepared to make an escape and did not want to leave an opening for the other woman in the process. As such, she'd move her leg closer to the woman's neck, and as her shoulders got pinned, she was ready to go.

"ONE!"

The referee called, and as if signalled to, Kate would pull back her leg to deliver a kick up to Ryuko's chin, letting go of the woman's arm a split second after impact to add onto the damage done before rolling back to get on her feet, her breath now steadied as she was fully prepared to continue the fight!
