Tess was excited, her first evenly matched opponent, no more getting crushed, it was time she got to show off what she was made off.

Waiting, her entrance music kicked in.

The lights flashed and the arena lit up, the crowd made noise as she strutted in, it wasn't the crowd she'd seen before, but she was new, in time they would grow, cheer her name, hold placards up in her honour, and scream loudly when she entered. For now she ate up what was given and flirtatiously moved her body as she walked up the aisle and into the ring.

The announcer began

The first fighter... the Style, the poise, the beautiful ... TTTEEESSSS JJJOOONNEESS

She took her corner, stretching and making sure to tease the crowd, if her body got her some more fans, then why not..

She waited excitedly, for her opponent to make her entrance, a mixture and fear and glee. She'd heard nothing about her opponent only that she was a fellow young lioness and eager to prove herself. Whatever the outcome, the fans would be getting a show!

Another young lioness? It had been a little bit since her last match with one so she was really looking forward to it. Being the underdog was fun and all but it would be nice to have a match where she's not on the backfoot before it even starts. That didn't mean she was going to take this lightly though. If anything this was her chance to prove herself. If she was gonna be a rookie, then she was gonna be the best rookie around.

Before she knew it, it was Lexi's turn to enter. She strutted down the ramp confidently, puffing her chest out to look make herself look bigger. She climbed into the ring, finally coming face to face with the lioness she'd be up against. It wasn't until then that Tess would notice how small Lexi actually was.

The bluenette would walk up to her opponent and extend her hand with a smile. "Hi there! I'm Lexi, it's nice to meet another young lioness!" More than just a simple greeting, it was an easy way for her gauge Tess' personality.

Tess watched as Lexi entered, smaller than she expected l, which she secretly took as a factor in her favour. But she was quite surprised to find the girl walk right over to her. Tess tensed ready to replied with a barbed retort to whatever fighting talk this young girl had ready, instead she was offered a warm hand.

Though suspicious, her experience with fighters being they were often terse or prone to shit talking. Tess was a little delayed before she responded and took the small bluenette's hand, hesitant to smile to responded a little blunter than she had meant to.

"I'm Tess, welcome to the ring"

Tess softened slightly, Lexi's handshake was warm and her bubblyness didn't fade, Tess let out a half smile.

"It's nice to meet you, you're the first other young lioness I'll have fought. Let's put on a good show and earn the program a good name!"

She said puffing out her chest, in a somewhat unconvincing show of confidence.

Lexi smiled as Tess took her hand. A good sign. The girl seemed a bit tense, but Lexi just chalked it up to nerves. She giggled a little as Tess replied and puffed out her chest. Yep, it was definitely nerves. It wasn't like Lexi wasn't nervous herself, but seeing that her opponent was too definitely put her mind at ease. "Yeah! I'm sure we will!

Their greeting was cut short as the referee separated them before signaling for the match to begin. Just after the bell rang, Lexi lifted her hands up, offering them to Tess once again, but in a more competitive sense. Lexi definitely wasn't the strongest but it didn't seem like her opponent was either. And if they were gonna put on a good show she couldn't think of a better way to start.

Tess couldn't help but be somewhat charmed by her opponents optimism, but she wondered if it would last as the match got heated.

"let's rock!" Tess smiled confidently.

With the bell rung, a lockup was offered, Tess accepted. She battled with the fellow lioness, pulling and pushing to try and take her off balance, aiming for an opportunity, if she spotted one her plan was roll back placing a foot into her opponents chest and throwing her backward over Tess's head. It wasn't likely to do much damage but it would certainly throw her off her game, and hopefully look pretty good too.
