Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
As Alex entered the ring, he thought about his opponent and his upcoming rival—his friends from the fighting academy had already sent him Troy's profile. He was almost the same height as him, but his powerful body and hockey player's stamina could have caused problems for the more diminutive Alex. However, out of pure curiosity, he felt a wild excitement, anticipating how he would unleash Troy around the ring

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Match Type: 1 v 1, Standard Match
Victory by Pinfall or Submission
Thanks to OverlordofYaoiness for having this match with me.
Troy watched Alex approach the ring with a critical eye. He noted that Alex was about the same height, but the difference in their builds was impossible to miss. He noted that Alex was a bit on the skinnier side, not that Troy was exactly a hunk of muscle himself, but still, he seemed fairly light. Troy chuckled to himself, thinking, "All those hours in the weight room training for hockey really paid off". It was a shame he hadn’t grown taller, but his strength would give him an undeniable edge in this match.
Nix had lectured him earlier. Alex was primarily an MMA fighter. Troy respected that, but he wasn’t worried. He wasn’t a powerhouse himself, but he’d always relied on his own speed and instincts, and years of hockey had given him something just as valuable: experience in a fight. Hockey scraps weren’t clean or technical, but they taught you how to stay on your feet, how to keep swinging, and most importantly, how to take a punch without panicking. Alex might be the more trained fighter, but Troy had been in enough brawls to know that a fight rarely stayed pretty for long. If things got messy—and they always did—Troy figured he could hang in there just fine.
As “4 Minutes” by Madonna blasted through the arena speakers, Troy strode confidently toward the ring, the crowd erupting in cheers as the pounding beat filled the venue. He raised his arms for a moment, feeding off the energy of the audience while the familiar rush of adrenaline from his hockey days kicked in. He was still new to the whole wrestling scene, but always loved a good crowd. Sliding into the ring, he made his way to the corner opposite Alex, cracking his neck and rolling his shoulders as he sized his opponent up. Their eyes met across the ring, and Troy gave a small, confident smirk. He knew Alex probably had the cleaner technique, but Troy had never been the type to shy away from a fight.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
"Well, Troy, get ready for a fight!"
Alex decided to play it safe and try to finish his opponent off before he could do anything—so he immediately launched into his signature "blunderbuss kick." He aimed for Troy's impressive (as he saw it) groin and, with a well-aimed heel kick, delivered the blow with as much force as he could.
"This is it!" Alex thought. He decided not to hesitate, and immediately after landing a blow to the groin, he jumped behind Troy and began choking him, simultaneously landing knees to the body to prevent Troy from defending himself. The crowd roared; the fight was fast and bloody. Alex thought Troy would be defeated quickly.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Troy staggered back, his hands instinctively flying to his nose as he felt the warm trickle of blood. His eyes narrowed through the crimson haze, glaring at Alex with a mix of pain and fury. “You little—” he growled, his voice muffled by the blood pooling in his nostrils. He took a step back, shaking his head slightly to clear the dizziness.
Without warning, Troy swung a wild punch aimed directly at Alex’s face. The force of the blow was fueled by the adrenaline coursing through his veins, and his knuckles connected with a sickening crack. Alex’s head snapped to the side, and for a moment, Troy felt a surge of satisfaction. “That’s for the cheap shot,” he spat, wiping his nose with the back of his hand, leaving a smear of blood across his cheek. His breath was ragged, but his stance was steady, ready for whatever came next.
But Troy wasn’t done. Before Alex could recover, he followed up with another lightning-fast punch, this time targeting Alex’s jaw. The impact was brutal, sending Alex stumbling backward, his eyes wide with shock. “And that’s for the knee,” Troy snarled, his voice dripping with venom as he shook out his fist. He could feel the sting in his knuckles, but it was nothing compared to the satisfaction of seeing Alex wobble. The crowd roared in response, feeding Troy’s adrenaline-fueled rage as he squared up, ready to keep the pressure on.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Alex's legs felt like jelly, his jaw cracked (he felt like it had been broken, if not shattered, then hit hard). Almost losing consciousness, he fell to the ring, his whole body becoming so soft and weightless that he felt like he couldn't rise again. Alex felt like his soul had been literally beaten out of him—and that he was about to die after that.
"No, no... Alex, come on, pull yourself together... Faster..." his mind kept telling him. Using the ring as a support, Alex managed to lift himself and more or less hold himself against the wall, but he was barely hanging on, and his head was ready to fall back after that. Takumi ran to the ring, holding ice and ammonia. After applying an ice pack to Alex's head and jaw and giving him a sniff from a bottle of ammonia, Alex recovered somewhat and attacked Troy's exposed body, aiming for his abs, chest, or liver. But the impact from the blow was so thick that Alex couldn't tell if it had actually hit him—only by feeling with his fingers and feet could he tell that he had hit somewhere in Troy's solar plexus.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Troy’s eyes widened as Takumi rushed in, slapping an ice pack on Alex’s head and shoving ammonia under his nose. He took a step back, glancing toward the referee. “Hey, ref! That’s gotta be illegal, right?” he shouted. But the referee didn’t budge, too caught up in the chaos of the moment to intervene.
Before Troy could fully process what had happened, Alex was back on his feet, charging at him with renewed vigor. Troy braced himself, raising his arms to block the incoming flurry of punches and kicks. Alex’s attacks came fast and furious, a mix of desperation and determination. Most of the blows were deflected by Troy’s forearms, but a few slipped through, landing solidly on his ribs and stomach. Troy grunted, the sting of each hit fueling his focus.
Despite Alex’s skinnier frame, Troy could feel the force behind his strikes. This guy’s not just pushing, he thought. He twisted his body, trying to minimize the damage, but Alex was relentless. Troy’s chest heaved as he absorbed the blows, his instincts kicking in. He waited for the right moment, ducking under a wild swing, and countered with a swift elbow to Alex’s ribs.
The crowd roared louder, the tension in the ring palpable. Troy could feel the pressure mounting—Alex wasn’t backing down, and neither was he. His heart pounded in his chest, every muscle in his body screaming for him to keep going. This wasn’t just about physical strength anymore; it was about endurance, willpower, and who wanted it more. And Troy wasn’t about to let Alex take that away from him.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Alex realized that the longer and further he held Troy at bay, the faster he would win. Wrestling was unlikely to help; technique was countered by his opponent's sheer brute force.
Having grasped the secret to victory, Alex didn't hesitate and kicked Troy with his blunderbuss again, catching him in the groin as he collapsed. Then he leaped forward, turned, and landed a punch straight at Troy's head. The quick combination, though powerful, felt like he'd exhausted himself with such attacks.
"I need to hit less often, but harder... I'll run out of steam, I'll run out of steam at this rate!" Alex thought again. To keep Troy from relaxing, Alex kicked again, this time with a chopping kick.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Upon being hit by Alex's blunderbuss again and having his head pounded into the ground, Troy groaned, trying to push himself back up. His vision blurred slightly, the ringing in his ears drowning out the roar of the crowd. His body screamed in protest, but he gritted his teeth, determined not to stay down. Just as he got to his knees, Alex’s foot came crashing down in a brutal axe kick that smashed into Troy’s shoulder, driving him back onto the mat.
Troy let out a pained grunt, his muscles trembling as he fought to stay conscious. He hadn’t expected Alex to be this much of a nuisance—though he supposed he should’ve guessed when the guy kicked him in the groin twice.
“Guess I should’ve taken you more seriously, huh?” Troy muttered under his breath, his voice mixed in with dry, self-deprecating humor. He staggered to his feet, shaking off the pain as best he could. Maybe this is just how it goes, he thought bitterly. He and Nix had lost plenty of fights before—often because they underestimated their opponents. Alex wasn’t some pushover rookie; he was relentless, and Troy had been foolish to think this would be an easy win.
His legs trembled as he got back up. Blood streaked his face. His muscles burned like a flame. But he wasn’t done—not yet.
With a slow, deliberate roll of his shoulders, Troy steadied himself and raised a hand, beckoning Alex closer.
“You think you’ve got me finished? Think again.”

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
"It's very stupid of you to try to draw me closer," Alex said, assuming a full defensive stance and leaning slightly, preparing to evade Troy's punches. He remembered the classic boxing stance Takumi and his friends had shown him, and adopting it, he began jab after jab, trying to put distance between himself and Troy. The punches were light but frequent, coming from different angles so that Troy couldn't block any of them.
Bounced lightly, Alex moved around the ring, trying not to close or widen the distance between himself and Troy. He bruised Troy, punch after punch, catching him on the elbows—and then he landed a completely unexpected hook straight to his abs.
"Oh, damn! That's a tough abs!" Alex muttered quietly under his breath. His arm burned from the blow, but he noticed Alex cough slightly. He'd managed to penetrate his abs, meaning he could continue the same tactics.
"If I close the distance too much, he'll charge at me and pin me in the ring. If I keep going close, he'll wrestle me and be able to take me down... I should try an armbar," and then it dawned on Alex. He struck Troy's right shoulder, pulling his arm back, then flanked him, grabbed his right arm, and attempted to take him to the ground with an armbar.

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Alex tightened his grip on Troy’s arm, yanking it back with all his strength as he attempted to twist his opponent into an armbar. For a brief moment, Alex felt a surge of confidence—this was it, the move that could turn the tide. But Troy’s instincts kicked in faster than Alex expected. He’s been here before, Alex realized too late.
Troy shifted his weight, twisting his body in a way that turned the tables entirely. Instead of falling into the armbar, he countered with a sharp wrench of his shoulder, pulling Alex off-balance. Troy’s movements were fluid, almost practiced, as he spun around and seized Alex’s arm in a vise-like grip. Before Alex could react, Troy forced him to the mat, his knee pressing hard into Alex’s back, locking him into a brutal hammerlock.
Alex groaned, his face pressed against the cold ring floor as Troy’s weight bore down on him. He tried to struggle, but every movement only made the hold tighter. Troy’s knee dug into his spine, anchoring him in place.
“Not so easy, huh?” Troy grunted, his voice dripping with a mix of satisfaction and exertion. He leaned forward, putting more pressure on Alex’s trapped arm.
Troy tightened the hammerlock, his knee pressing harder into Alex’s back. “My girlfriend taught me this one,” he growled, a hint of a smirk in his voice despite the exhaustion. “Sorry, but you’re not the only one with a few tricks up their sleeve.”
