“It Fades” - Renee Steinhauser vs Maddy Morgan (D)

Renee would smirk at what she did to Maddy as the referee warned her to not do that again. She shoo’d them away as Renee then actually started the match with circling the ring with Maddy. After half a minute of circling the ring, Renee would then stand in the middle of the ring challenging Maddy to a test of strength. She then egged Maddy into accepting it.

“Alright kid. You wanted to run with the best wrestler in LAW so I wanna see if you’re actually LAW material in the strength category. Don’t tell me someone your age can’t out push someone my age. You’d be pathetic if you were.”

What Renee was hoping Maddy wouldn’t know was that this was a classic trap Renee does in her matches. If Maddy were to accept the test of strength, Renee would act like she was gonna get ready to begin the test of strength before she then used her free dominant hand to slap the shit out of Maddy before kicking her away.

Maddy’s soft smile only widened at Renee’s challenge, her eyes sparkling with that fearless rookie fire. She stepped closer to the veteran, bouncing lightly on her feet, fists slightly raised—not out of fear, but out of pure confidence.

“Test of strength, huh?” she said, her tone teasing, a hint of mischief hiding under her bravado. “Sure thing, old-timer. Let’s see if you’re all talk.”

She locked eyes with Renee, bracing herself as if she was ready to push back, leaning into the challenge, completely unaware of the trap looming. Her stance was solid, her energy unrelenting, the kind of reckless confidence that only comes with being young, fast, and thinking you’ve got everything to prove. Maddy’s hands went up, ready to grip Renee’s for the test—fully expecting a fair push

And then Renee literally smacked the competitive smile off of the face of Maddy. She then kicked her in her hurt midsection again, Sparta kicking her into the ropes. The crowd would be booing Renee as she would then again start stomping the shit out of Maddy.

“You dumbass! You fucking weakling! Lesson from a veteran to a rookie. Always fucking study your opponents! I did that shit every fucking time and you just fell for it! What a fucking idiot.”

Renee then actually kicked Maddy out of the ring by her chin. She then took this moment to taunt the crowd, waiting for Maddy to get back up. She was enjoying the heel heat and was gonna show Maddy how LAW treats girls like her; the same way LAW did when she first debuted.

Maddy’s competitive grin vanished the instant Renee’s open-handed slap connected, the sting cracking through her cheek like a whip. Pain flared across her face, and before she could even process it, Renee’s boot slammed into her midsection, forcing the air from her lungs in a brutal Sparta kick that sent her reeling backward into the ropes.

The crowd’s boos filled the arena as Renee didn’t relent—stomping viciously across Maddy’s torso and legs, each strike landing with bone-jarring precision. Each connection weakened Maddy more and more as she desperately put her arms up to defend herself.

Eventually the relentless stomping ceased but before Maddy could even rise, Renee’s boot connected again, this time driving into her chin and sending her flying over the top rope to the floor outside the ring. Pain radiated through her body, each breath a ragged hiss. The referee immediately began the count, gesturing toward Maddy to get back in the ring.

Maddy struggled to her hands and knees, vision blurred and ribs aching, trying to push through the pain. With her legs shaking, she crawled along the side of the ring, rolling under the bottom rope in a desperate bid to stay alive in the match.

The ref ended the count once Maddy has successfully made her way back into the ring. Maddy’s body trembled as she gasped for air, leaning on the ropes and using them like a makeshift ladder to help her stand up straight. This match was going as planned but she still kept a close eye of Renee, waiting on the ropes and looking for the right movement to strike back.

Renee would turn around once Maddy got back into the ring. There, she approached Maddy and would grab her by the hair. If she were successful, Renee would throw her to the middle of the ring and decided to “play with her food”

Renee would step onto the ankle of Maddy. There, she would taunt her as she grinded her foot onto that ankle.

“You really are pathetic. You shouldn’t have signed up for this, kid.”

Maddy barely had time to get her bearings before Renee was on her. A sharp tug at her hair forced her head back, a pained gasp slipping from her lips as she was dragged unceremoniously toward the center of the ring. She hit the mat on her back with a dull thud, the impact rattling through her already aching body.

Before she could roll away, Renee’s boot came down on her ankle.

Maddy cried out, instinctively grabbing at Renee’s leg as the veteran ground her foot down, twisting it just enough to make the pain spike. Her face tightened, breath hitching as she slapped the mat once—more in anger than surrender—before planting her palms and forcing her upper body up.
“Ghh—get off me!” she snarled, teeth grit.

Instead of panicking, Maddy twisted her hips and kicked her free leg upward, catching Renee’s shin with the sole of her boot. It wasn’t pretty or clean, but it was enough to disrupt the pressure. She followed it immediately by rolling her body, dragging her trapped ankle along the canvas just far enough to slip out from under Renee’s foot.

Maddy scrambled backward, clutching her ankle as she pushed herself up to one knee, breathing hard. Pain pulsed through her leg, but her eyes were locked on Renee now—focused, sharp, and pissed. She slowly pulled herself up using the ropes, testing her weight, refusing to stay down. She squared up again, favoring the ankle slightly, but standing Nonetheless.

Renee would enjoy looking at the pained face of Maddy as she really grounded her foot onto her ankle. However, Renee seemed to be caught up in that mindset when she would suddenly get kicked by a free leg and caused her to stumble a bit but also watch Maddy get away. She cursed at letting her go but knew she did enough damage to have Maddy still hurting.

Renee would watch Maddy rise up to one leg, seeing she was favoring her ankle. There, Renee decided to show Maddy what technique she had in regular matches. Renee would grab Maddy and then placed her in a headlock, looking to bring her down. If she were to bring Maddy down, Renee would then have her in an Anaconda Vice, trying to slow Maddy down while also taunting her.

“Imma let you in on a little secret of mine that you should’ve known beforehand. I’m a fucking master in putting little girls like you in painful submissions. Made so many bitches tap out and kiss my feet. You aren’t special, you’re a failure that’s slowly gonna see why I ain’t a bitch to fuck with.”

Maddy barely had time to steady herself before Renee lunged in, arms reaching to cinch that headlock. The rookie’s eyes widened for a split second—but instinct kicked in faster than pain.

Before Renee could fully wrap her arm around her head, Maddy shot her hands up, catching Renee’s forearm and wrist, twisting her shoulders sideways to keep her neck from being pulled in. Her bad ankle screamed as she shifted her weight, but she bit down hard, refusing to give Renee the leverage she wanted.

“Not—yet!” Maddy hissed through clenched teeth.

She ducked low and slipped her head free, turning sharply while driving a short elbow toward Renee’s ribs, more desperate than clean. At the same time, she stomped her good foot down on Renee’s boot, trying to force space between them and break the veteran’s grip entirely.

Maddy staggered a step back, still favoring the ankle, chest heaving from the pain.

Renee nearly locked the headlock in but was stopped when Maddy went on survival instincts to twist out of the predicament before an elbow and a stomp freed her. Though she was free, Renee wasn’t gonna allow Maddy to be free without some pain, grabbing two handfuls of hair and delivering a hair pull slam onto the back of her head. The referee, again, warned Renee of her cheating ways but that was when she would flip them off and hobble to the corner to massage her foot.

“You may be smart, I’ll give you that. But you aren’t as savvy as me, bitch. Hope I gave you a concussion.”

Maddy barely had a second to breathe before Renee surged forward again. Her hands tangled painfully in Maddy’s hair, yanking her backward with a sharp cry of surprise. Before she could even get her footing, Renee ripped her down, snapping her head and upper body into the mat with a vicious hair-pull slam.

The impact rang through Maddy’s skull, a flash of white exploding behind her eyes as the back of her head bounced off the canvas. She groaned, rolling onto her side instinctively, one hand going to the back of her head while the other clutched at the mat, trying to ground herself.

“Ghh—!” She blinked hard, vision swimming as the crowd’s noise blurred into a dull roar.

Renee’s words barely registered at first, but they still cut. Maddy squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, jaw clenched, then slowly pushed herself up onto her elbows. Her breathing was uneven now, frustration and pain mixing together as she shook her head, trying to clear the fog.

She didn’t respond right away.

Instead, she dragged herself toward the ropes, using them to pull up to a seated position, then to one knee. Her body and head are aching in unison as Maddy focus on recover for the time being, staring down at your opponent from across the ring.
