She hated to talk down to her opponents, especially when Kaia was proving herself to be plenty worthy as a foe thus far, but she couldn't help but find her reactions amusing. However, when Kaia said she was testing her, Astrid believed her wholeheartedly. For all her prowess in the ring, the Norsewoman never claimed she wasn't gullible. "Ah, I see. Good for me, then, yeah?"

In this commotion, Kaia would be able to sidestep Astrid's kick. The blonde stumbled forward, but she had no intention of letting this hold up her momentum. While Kaia staggered, Astrid would try to swerve around to get behind her, and would from there attempt a sleeperhold.

Kaia didn't pass up the opportunity to act as Astrid went staggering back, and she threw herself forward with her shoulder raised, hitting the Norwegian woman right in the center of mass. That was enough to bowl Astrid over, as she went tumbling off her footing and landed on her back, with Kaia on top of her. A loud thud sounded, and the crowd began to cheer, seeing the brunette's upset over her opponent. Now it was only a matter of seeing what Kaia would do with Astrid downed.

Astrid tried her best to disentangle Kaia's legs from her head, but the brunette was making an admirable job of holding firm and resolute. Though Astrid tried to pull her back, Kaia only clamped down harder, and the pressure was building. Astrid's face started to grow more and more red as her teeth clenched and her muscles went tense, her whole body strained as she tried to bear it out.

This tactic didn't seem to be working, Astrid thought, so she would have to try something else. Now, she would see if she could sweep Kaia off her feet. Although Kaia was taller, Astrid still had the weight advantage, and hopefully she could use that for leverage. Still on the ground, Astrid tried to throw her weight over to the side to bowl Kaia off her feet and bring her down on her side.
