Family Reunion

Alaina struggled, pressing as hard as she could but in the end she managed to prevail! The older wrestler took a deep breath and sat back. "Whew, I think I got lucky on that one. You nearly had me." Alaina said. "You know what, if you want pictures with the title and to wear it around a bit go for it. It is back in my room but we can head that way." Alaina said to Sophia. "You earned it."

Alaina wasn't kidding either. Sophia was stronger than she looked, far stronger than Alaina remembered. She was going to be a beast in the ring for sure. She hoped that being able to strut around with the title belt would help her gain a touch of confidence as well.

While Sophia may have been someone who always loved bringing smiles to others, even someone as accomplished as her had her moments of self doubt and this was one of them. Ever since she was a little girl she trained her butt off in the hopes when she was old enough to where she and Alaina can have actual contests of strength, she would be able to beat her. Alas that was not the case as while she put up a good fight, Alaina came out on top leaving Sophia standing there with a face of disappointment. For a moment it felt like the world stop spinning until she heard Alaina's voice. "Wait really?" Sophia muttered surprised by what Alaina said. The blonde superhero blinked for a moment letting it sink in but it was true, Alaina really did say that she got lucky against her. "No way..." She chuckled as her smile began to come back to her as Alaina sweeten the deal by allowing her to take pictures with her championship belt. For a moment Sophia was frozen, but this time in utter excitement as eyes and body began to lit up before letting out a squeal of excitement as she unceremoniously wrapped her arms around Alaina's waist to lift her up in the air for a big hug. "Oh thank you Alaina, you have no idea how much this means to me! I promise I'll be a good babysitter for Anna and Carl I promise!" Sophia began to run her mouth trying to express her gratitude for what her aunt was doing for her before she opened her eyes and saw what she was doing."Oh.... I'm sorry...." Sophia muttered nervously a bit embarrassed by what she did as she went to set Alaina feet down on the ground. "Forgive me Alaina.... I just got a bit excited is all, I mean it's not everyday the heavyweight champion allows you to hold their title right?" Sophia chuckled patting Alaina on the back before wrapping her arm around her neck. "How about to make it up to you when we get to your hotel room I'll give you a comic that I know you've been dying to get your hands on? And when we go there why not we invite the kids alongside Charlie to come down by the pool I bet uncle Charlie has been dying to see you in a swimsuit all summer." Sophia whispered into Alaina's ear giving her a playful nudge on the shoulder awaiting her directions to her hotel room.

Alaina knew how Sophia was so the outburst of excitement didn't surprise her. Once she was set down she laughed it off. "It is all right, I get thet you are fired up." Alaina says.

"I will take the trade, and now I am wondering what it is." She says. She isn't sure what comic Sophia would be talking about but she is curious enough to accept. "Don't worry about him, Charlie watches my matches and the attire isn't too far off from what I have on now. We tone things down around the kids they are at the age anything we do is embarrassing." Alaina adds.

Sophia let out a sigh of relief hearing Alaina laugh off the blondes over excited reaction to her offer. "Yeah of course, like I said it's not everyday the Heavyweight champion of LAW lets a new girl like me hold her title." She winked back as she stepped forward to her aunt, this time leaning in to playfully whisper the perfect trade offer for her strutting around with Alaina's belt. "Ohh trust me, you'll love it Alaina. In fact if not I'll let ya suplex me into that pool over there." Sophia laughed as right before she made her way to Japan, she went out of her way to buy it for her aunt once they met up in the organization. "Fair enough I suppose, but I'm sure he still compliments you whenever you make it home from one your shows. Also don't worry about what Anna and Carl say if you want my advice you could use it to tease them considering what Anna and Carl did when they were kids. I read your career chronicles so believe you me, I think it's only fair." Sophia added letting out a small chuckle as she walked over to grab her bag and strap it around her shoulder."How about this, we go up to your apartment, I'll give you the comic, you give me the belt and we will grab Charlie and kids and come back down for some family time, I'm sure Charlie will be surprised seeing how big I've grown." Sophia added on even more as she temporary was gathering her things up before turning around to face Alaina. "So lead the way." Sophia said with a sincere grin on her face raising her arm up to let Alaina guide the way to the hotel.

"I can do that, lets go!" Alaina said. "The kids and Charlie will be happy to see you for sure. It has been quite a while hasn't it?" Alaina said as the two large women began making their way up to her hotel suite. She as glad that Sophia was going to see everyone else and she hoped they would be as happy about this as Alaina was.

As they got to the suite room and opened Alaina showed the room to Sophia. The master bathroom itself had a to tub in it, and the kids had their beds in a small separate room. Alaina remembered her early career and staying at the cheapest rooms she could as she traveled. Now? This was one of the things the loved now that she made big contract money and the endorsement dollars. She was too old to go back to the small places.

Charlie heard the door opened and looked up, walking up to give Alaina a hug and the same for Sophia. "Hey there! How are ya doing kid?" He asked. "I am glad to see you made it up to LAW and the big-time. You in-ring work was too good to be down in the indies for long." He said as he called out to the kids. "Anna! Carl! Sophia is here, come say hi!"

The room was silent as Alaina began making her way to their room. "Anna, Carl come on out now!" She said as she opened the door. Carl had headphones on while playing a game and Anna was filming herself on Tik Tok while scrolling through her phone. Alaina marched over and took the game and phone out of her kids hands.

"Mom come on!" Carl protested as he took his headphones off.

"I was doing something important mom! My friends needed to see how awesome the room was and how I am killing it with the fashion game!" Anna said staring daggers at Alaina with her hands on her hips.

"Yep, the fun of almost 13 year olds that think they are 21." Charlie muttered. "Come on lets actually have some fun as a family." He said as Carl came over and nodded to Sophia.

"Hey! You got big, like mom big." He said. "I mean that as like buff, not fat or anything. How have you been?" He asked, seemingly unplugging himself from the world of whatever online game had his total attention moments ago.

Anna stepped up and looked Sophia over almost like she was sizing her up for a match, this twin seemingly showing a bit of her mother in her albeit with the sass of a teenager. "Hey, you look like you have hit the gym. So how long until you win gold?" Anna asked with a smirk.

"Yeah, I can't remember the last time I've seen uncle Charlie or your kids. Last time I saw them they were up to my ankles." Sophia chuckled thinking back to the last time she was with Alaina's family as both women make their way to the hotel room Alaina's family was staying at for the week. Upon the door opening Sophia was face to face with her uncle and former wrestler Charlie who she graciously opened her arms too and embraced him in a loving hug. "Awwww thanks Uncle Chuck, you have no idea how hard I had to work to get into to LAW. I could've told LAW officials I was related to you guys but then I would just be getting in the easy way which is a no ca do for me. So, since I'm in Japan now, when are we going to have that sparring session you promised me all those years ago huh?" Sophia laughed teasing her uncle before giving him a big pat on the back before stepping forward to find the twins. "So where are they?" Sophia asked as outside of the conversation they just had the whole room went silent, which is the last thing she would say about Anna and Carl from whenever they had family reunions during the holidays.

It turned out they both got around to that age where their phones are their favorite thing in the world. "Oh so their at that age huh?" Sophia muttered trying to hold in a laugh as Alaina practically had to drag the two out their rooms for some family bonding time. As Carl approached, he definitely grew but she was still a giant compared to the kid. "Aww Carl are you still working on your flirting skills for Katherine Hart? Yes I have gotten bigger, and according to your mom I'm gonna be your new babysitter so I better not catch you looking up Katherine on the internet kay kiddo?" Sophia kneeled down to Carl's level and decided to mess with the boy a bit for him still not being able to talk to girls correctly before giving him a hug. Then came along Anna who definitely had her mom's confident side but sadly it was in the form of a privilege teenager. Naturally while Sophia didn't appreciate Anna's disrespectful tone, she knew just the way to bring her back to the kid who idolized Sophia when she was a few years younger. "Ahhh Anna, last time we met I could've sworn you begged me for something what was it again?" Sophia asked pretending to have forgotten what it was as she looked up in the roof puzzling as she tapped her chin nonchalantly. "OHHH RIGHT!!!! You begged and pleaded with your mother you wanted me to have a gym session with you to train you in case you decided to follow in your moms footsteps and begged me to give you an outfit of your choosing." Sophia lit her eyes up reminding Anna of her last encounter in a clear tone of voice. "And as luck would have it, I brought that outfit with me. After all you love fashion so much, I thought i'd give it to you as an early birthday surprise and would even take you to the gym. But since you clearly don't want it, I guess I can just throw it away." Sophia said in a clear and dismissive tone of voice as she pulled out from her bag Anna's dream gear giving it a light tug to try and get an apology out of Anna. Sophia knew that since they've gotten older, they hit at age of not wanting to be around their parents, but if Anna was going to be this disrespectful after everything their parents had done for them, Sophia was happy to give little Anna a reality check even if it was for a prank like this.

Charlie laughed and shook his head. "I wish I could but it has been years since I did more than watch anything in a ring. My knee has only gotten worse otherwise I would." Charlie said to Sophia. That was accurate. His very short career was dashed by a nasty injury and now in his early 50s it was only getting worse. He was the one who was with the kids all day while Alaina trained. He didn't have the time to do as much rehab or anything since he had these two to keep track of.

Carl just rolled his eyes at Sophia's comment and shrugged it off. "Whatever." He said. "I saw you have been doing really well in LAW, that is cool. Who was your toughest opponent?" He asked as he was genuinely curious. The more laid back of the twins some of Charlie's more grounded, mellow personality shined through with him.

Anna however was a copy of Alaina. She could be fiery, and at this age she could be pure attitude. She softened her expression slightly and tilted her head. "Come on, there is no need to be like that. We were just busy trying to get stuff done when you came in." She said before looking over at Carl. "At least, I was busy he was just wasting time like usual."

Alaina cleared her throat and pat both of her kids on the shoulder. "Come on, we were about to go back to the pool. Lets all hang out and relax, catch up with your cousin Sophia and just have some family time?" Alaina asked, hoping her kids would agree, which they both did leading to a sigh of relief from Alaina who grabbed a couple bags off the counter and began to herd everyone together.

Sophia sat there and listened to what Charlie had to say and to be honest it was a bit unfortunate to hear. When Sophia was growing up she always heard about how while Charlie was a nice guy at heart, in the ring he was like a grizzly bear until his accident that prevented him from even being able to train with her. "It's okay Uncle Charlie..." Sophia gave her uncle a good pat on the back. "Maybe instead you can give me some pointers I especially wanna learn you're high flying moves so I can perfect my own." She added with a grinning smile reassuring her uncle she completely understood where he was coming from while still hoping he could show her some of his tricks as she went to talk to her younger cousins.

It seemed that thankfully Carl was the more relaxing of the two as he was interested in with actual curiosity compared to his sister. "Hmmm.... I don't know..." Sophia stopped rubbing her fingers against her chin trying to think because quite thankfully she only had two matches and both were pretty much cake for her. "Tell ya what." Sophia leaned down to looked at him dead in the eye. "Before you're mom competes next week be sure to get there early to watch me and Danny square off, then you'll have you're answer." She smiled with a playful wink before ruffling the boys air. Then... it was Anna's turn.... the girl who once admired Sophia like a big sister... now sadly... grew an attitude. Sophia was willing to match her attitude by testing to see if Anna still cared about becoming a wrestler like her mom one day instead of a social media influencer and thankfully it worked. "See? I knew you still cared about taking after you're momma, here it's in my bag." Sophia smiled brightly after her prank worked on the younger girl as she went looking through her bag and found Anna's outfit for when she begins practicing wrestling. It was a leotard just like her mama but if there was one thing Sophia knew it was Anna cared more about being flashy then tiger prints so it was top to bottom in flashy colors and symbols. "You'll grow into it, but when you're ready I'll train you...but you gotta promise the both of you to respect and do what you're parents say, they do a lot for you especially Alaina so I better hear you guys are behaving or else." Sophia stopped the laughs and smiles and stood up straight looking down at her little cousins with a serious look hoping they would heed her advice.

Then when Alaina spoke Sophia stopped turning her attention towards her. "Hey auntie... sorry but before we go didn't you forget about our little trade?" Sophia asked a bit flushed rubbing her hands together hoping Alaina hadn't forgotten the deal before turning to the other three. "Sorry but Alaina and I need some privacy we will go in her room for just a sec." Sophia chuckled nervously to her other family members as she began to walk into Alaina's room for the trade.

Charlie nodded to Sophia and let out a small laugh. "I will do what little I can to help bit really other than go over match video and watch your footwork, timing and the line I can't do much else these days." He said to herself.

Carl shrugged and looked at Sophia. "I guess that makes sense. Danny is a beast and pretty chill when he isn't at work but you are gonna get him full force." Carl said.

Anna meanwhile grinned as she saw the attire and high fived Sophia. "All right, nice! You are gonna have trouble in your match but seeing Danny struggle will be funny. It is funny enough watching him have a tough time with Irelia."

Alaina meanwhile remembered their deal. "I don't know why we need privacy for it but if you want it thst is fine." Alaina said heading to her room and ready to let Sophia have fun with thr title belt.

Sophia couldn't help but grin ear to ear from each interaction with her family members, it had been so long since she's seen any of them so getting to hang out with and tease them was a blast to reexperience. "Don't worry I know Danny is strong but he's not a multi time champion like you're cousin here!" Sophia playfully boasted for the kids as she flexed her biceps showing off strong she's gotten before turning her focus over to Alaina. After the two heavyweights walked into her room Sophia couldn't help but chuckle at Alaina's response. "Well I just assumed you had the belt stored in here somewhere." She giggled before reaching down into her bag. "Before you give me the title for the day, I want you have this." Sophia added pulling out the first volume of Absolute Wonder Woman before extending her arm out for Alaina to take. "You always said that Wonder Woman was you're number one hero, and DC has been releasing this new continuity called Absolute Wonder Woman so I thought you'd be interested in a different take on Diana." Sophia explained resting her hands down to her side. "Also this is just me thing, but Absolute Wonder Woman has a better look than mainline Diana so when we do a tag match together, you better be geared up as this version of Diana." Sophia chuckled patting Alaina on the shoulder before sitting down on Alaina's bed paitentlly waiting for that shiny belt to be given to her.
