Tsubaki Ito vs Touka Akan
Match Type: "Standard."
Win by scoring a pinfall of three seconds on the opponent, forcing a wrestler to submit, or knocking the wrestler out. Additionally, if a wrestler remains outside the ring for too long, they will be disqualified after a ten-count. Furthermore, if a wrestler performs an illegal move and is caught in the act by the in-ring official, they will be disqualified.
Standard rules - DQs, Count-outs, and the submission or pinfall MUST happen within the confines of the ring.


The dark-haired woman was backstage, getting herself ready for her debut match. It was more than a little nerve-racking, to say the least. Tsubaki could admit that she was feeling nervous, but she was also just as excited. This was a new experience, and while it was certainly anxiety-inducing, the mother-turned-wrestler still found some enjoyment in how frantically her heart was pounding within her chest. Was this how it felt to be alive? All cylinders firing, her body tingling all over, her mind racing with thousands of thoughts? It was a strange sensation...but a welcome one nonetheless. Following a short bit of pep talk with her daughter, Akari, Tsubaki stood herself up, finishing her gear prep before taking a deep breath, shaking out all the nerves, and warming up with some stretches before she got the call to head on out to the ring, her theme music that Akari picked out for her slowly ramping up over the loudspeakers.

Tsubaki emerged from backstage, standing at the top of a large entrance ramp, far bigger than the entryway at the indie promotion where she had her first official matches. The audience was ginormous, talk about a successful turnout. There were lots of cheers and hollers directed at the aged mother of two, causing her to blush a little as she felt so adored. All this attention mixed with the adrenaline she was feeling caused her to reminisce about her younger years, being chased after by bunches of boys, including her late husband, even after the two had gotten together. It warmed her heart that some saw her as the apple of their eye. To be desired by another was a comforting feeling, one Tsubaki sorely missed...but another feeling she wanted to pursue was the thrill of life, to hear her heart pound in her ears, her body vibrating with how fast her blood pumped through her veins. Tsubaki was looking for a fight...

And so, Tsubaki carried herself toward the ring, having quickly found her stride as she sauntered forward, letting her body guide her as her hips waggled gently from side to side. Her two-piece attire clung tightly to her voluptuous figure, accentuating all the soft edges and curves that stretched from head to toe, stoking the flames of desire within the increasingly eager crowd. It made her feel young and hip to flaunt her figure like this, making heads turn as she walked by. She wore a warm, soft smile on her face, feeling genuinely touched by the warm reception of the crowd, which served to excite her even more as she slipped through the ropes, entering the ring and awaiting the reveal of who her first opponent would be, having avoided any potential spoilers so that she could revel in the surprise and greet her foe with a friendly face and a handshake.

Unbeknownst to her, her unknown opponent for the evening would be someone with whom she had a partial connection to...someone who would make sure that this woman's debut was nothing short of a memorable affair.

Her music started to play, giving the crowd the perfect time to tell who was coming out moments before she did. Smiling back at them was the Matriarch herself Touka Akan who showed off pure confidence, a contrast between herself and her debut a few years back where she seemed humble and nervous, now looking as strong and powerful as she ever had without losing the kindness she radiated back then even if it was marked with more danger. Touka came down high fiving people before jumping into the ring to get a better look at her opponent. Touka knew who she was...or at least who she was related too, but that wasn't why she had agreed to do this match. She was just happy to take on new opponents, the fact that said opponent happened to be another mother in what was becoming a trend of it's own in wrestling was just a happy coincidence. A slightly less happy one was the history of their families. As the mother of Akari that meant in time they could be in laws if Sheena's relation with the DJ went well, but that was the one positive. More recently her daughter and Tsubaki's daughter Akari had a ferocious battle for Kyoko's Middleweight belt that ended in a double count out and failed to resolve any problems between them. Kyoko wanted nothing to do with Akari anymore and considered her behind her, Touka wasn't interested in their feud either. Her daughter was a grown woman and she could like and dislike who she wanted, but if things continued with Sheena she wanted Tsubaki to have a positive memory of the family of her daughters beloved...by being polite even in victory.

"And her opponent, weighing in at 165 lbs and standing at 5'10! The Matriach Touka Akan!"

"Pleasure to meet you!" Touka said shortly after she was introduced, offering a hand to the fellow mother and seeing how she reacted. She wouldn't see a need to bring up their families history unless Tsubaki brought it up first and simply wanted to greet her as a fellow opponent before they battled to see who was the superior fighter. A result that Touka planned to make sure to prove was her no matter what, but she wouldn't do it her mother or daughters way, but with the respect she was willing to show everyone before she proved that point.

When Touka appeared, Tsubaki's expression perked up, her eyes immediately locking onto the woman's visage...that hair, those eyes...that name...It was her, alright, the mother of Kyoko Akan, the woman Akari had lost to in her first title shot, many months ago. She was also the aunt of Akari's partner, that nice Sheena girl. To say that she felt conflicted was an understatement, but Tsubaki quickly eased her nerves and worries before Touka entered the ring. She decided for herself that this match and their 'relationship' with each other as competitors wouldn't need to be soured...or sweetened...by their familial ties. Tsubaki was now a wrestler, just like Touka.

So, when the Matriarch entered the ring, Tsubaki addressed her properly, gently shaking Touka's hand with a smile as if they were old friends from a book club, bumping into each other at a nice Sunday brunch. The mood was pleasant, friendly, and rather warm...but even the audience could feel just the slightest bit of intimidation. Such a presence could be expected from two mothers. Two people who could provide infinite amounts of affection and care, and people who could also shut a room down with just a look.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Mrs. Akan~...or do you prefer the 'Matriarch'~? Is Touka alright? Heh, I'm unsure of how formal I need to be." She said. "Especially toward the mother of the woman my daughter was feuding with not too long ago~..." She said, teasing their daughter's...less-than-amicable...relationship. "Ah, perhaps I should have seen this coming. The higher-ups probably thought this would make for an entertaining match-up. Another take on the 'Ito vs Akan' feud, but rest assured...our daughters' fight with each other doesn't have to be ours." She said, bowing her head respectfully. "Akari is a grown woman now...she doesn't need her mother to protect her in that way. It was a fair competition, after all...That being said, I certainly hope you don't expect me to go easy on you~" She said, smiling jovially.

"Truth be told, I'm rather excited that it's you. Two mothers, going head-to-head in the ring like this. One who began their foray into wrestling not too long ago...the other, far more experienced. I'd be lying if I said you weren't a shining example of what I want to achieve." Tsubaki said, laughing softly as she commended Touka. Her stature and commanding presence, that toned figure, and likely even more refined wrestling skill were all things Tsubaki was striving for. A match like this would certainly give her direction on what to improve on, as well as demonstrate the different caliber of wrestlers that LAW has in its locker rooms.

"What better way to test myself and see how far I need to go than to clash with someone who comes from a fairly similar background? But-...above all else, I'm excited because of how fun this will be. I was afraid they'd send me someone who'd coddle me or give me an easy win. But I don't think I'll have that problem with you, now, will I?" She asked coyly with that soft smile of hers.

Touka wasn't expecting this to be much different than her usual first meetings with someone. Sure Tsubaki was was Akari's mother, but that wouldn't get in the way of the individual meeting in her mind. Nothing about them needed to effect the two of them and this was if anything just an unorthodox meeting of family members when one of their own was dating. So the Matriarch was happy to see that Tsubaki seemed to think the same, introducing herself and asking questions about her in a genuinely curious tone. "Either Touka or the Matriarch will do in the ring. Outside Touka will be fine. No need to prove a point there. Nice to meet you Tsubaki! It pleases me to know we think the same regarding other...relations. I have no intention of letting how other people in our family feel for one another dictate how we must be...after all if I did that I never would've gotten married!" Touka said thinking about the odd fact of how her husband was and how the relationship between him and her own brother, let alone mother were. That kind of situation was ripe with turmoil for years but it never intruded upon them and she saw little reason for that to start here. What was more important to Touka was that Tsubaki wanted a challenge, which she loved to hear because if she was expecting an easy match she would find an unpleasant surprise.

"I'm beyond honored you think so highly of me. And you're right I wouldn't dare go easy on you Tsubaki. New or experienced doesn't make a difference, at my age you learn that you have no time to take things slow when it comes to enjoying what you want before you run out of time. You see that Matriarch nickname isn't something I just came up with...it's something I live. Pure dominance and skill from the hard work I've put into wrestling to make sure that I show this profession respect, and that means you can expect nothing but the best when we meet...so I hope you don't mind if I do my best to dominate..." Touka teased, giving a polite bow and a giggle before she'd start to step away and give Tsubaki time to prepare for the match. Knowing that the real fun would start once the bell rang not anytime before.

"By all means, show me what I have to learn-...I'm eager to see how I fare against someone as spirited and passionate as you. I'm rather eager to see how far a woman of our caliber can go." Tsubaki said, responding rather warmly to Touka's words as the violet-haired woman reciprocated Tsubaki's polite greeting, catching her attention in more ways than one. "After all this is over, you simply MUST tell me all about your marriage, it sounds rather interesting. Of course, sharing stories will have to wait, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't brimming with questions...like that nickname of yours. How exquisite~...I'm hoping to make a name for myself one day as well, but let's hope that I don't wind up stealing the 'Matriarch' from you tonight~..." She teased playfully. After the pair's rather cordial and friendly introduction to one another, the bell would finally ring. With all the pleasantries aside, the pair of finely aged mothers could get down to business.


Ding Ding Ding!!!


Making the first move was an important first step in a fight. Tsubaki had that drilled into her from the start. Whether she acted or reacted, she had to keep a level head and a great deal of composure when moving. Due to her age and recent training, her conditioning wasn't the best. There was a lot to consider, many factors to evaluate, and dozens of options to ponder. Given this was her first taste of true competition in LAW, knowing that Touka was the mother of Kyoko Akan, a woman who gave her daughter a great deal of trouble, and the fact that there was a wide gap in experience between the two, Tsubaki was keenly aware that this would be an uphill battle, but she wasn't scared. Intimidated? Sure. But she was not about to back down now. She wanted to make a good first impression, so she'd dive right into the deep end.

Tsubaki would walk toward the center of the ring, gesturing for Touka to come forward and meet her halfway before raising one hand high in the air. "No tricks, no games-...just two honest women wrestling for control...for 'dominance'..." She said, offering Touka a Test of Strength to kick off their match. "I figured we could start here, set the tone and all that-..." She wiggled her fingers, inviting the fellow mother over to try her luck with an honest competition to test their skills in grappling and strength. It was certainly a bold decision...like a rookie gunslinger calling out a veteran for a duel at high noon. Many in the crowd believed that things could only end poorly for the raven-haired mother, but Tsubaki refused to lie down without trying first and foremost.
