Christina Perez vs Valley Doll III - Submission Match

If she were 100% honest, Valerie would admit that she knew Christina would kick out of that one. No way would someone with her experience and skill ever be defeated by a German Suplex pin, especially not one that occurred less than five minutes into a match.

But damn, would it have been cool if she pulled it off. So cool.

But today wasn’t the day for miracles, it seemed. She would just have to settle for having a solid advantage over her opponent, which was a more than acceptable consolation. Not wanting to give her opponent too much time to breath, she rolled over as Christina did the same and reached out as the woman propped up to her elbow, wrapping a thick arm around her skull.

A headlock. Simple, but effective. Valerie snapped it on tight and ground hard against Christina’s temples as she rose to her feet and dragged her opponent up along with her, forcing her to stand.

Christina’s jaw tightened as the headlock cinched in, her boots shifting as Valerie ground the pressure down. She brought a hand up instinctively, trying to pry space at the forearm, but the squeeze was solid. For a moment, she was forced to bend, breath hissing between her teeth as the crowd sensed the struggle.

Then instinct took over.

Christina lowered her base instead of fighting the neck. Her eyes dropped, focus snapping to Valerie’s torso. One arm slid around the waist, locking tight, while the other reached back and scooped behind the knee. With a sharp exhale, she drove forward and twisted, executing a block finish that toppled Valerie off balance and sent them crashing to the mat.

Christina landed on top.

In one fluid motion, she swung her hips, isolating the arm Valerie had used for the headlock, threading her legs through and sitting back fast—too fast for comfort. The arm was extended, her thighs clamping down as she began to angle for the armbar.

The crowd rose to its feet.

This early in the match, it was terrifying territory for Valerie. Christina didn’t need time to soften an opponent—if she locked this in clean, it could be over in seconds.

Christina was not what anyone with two, functioning eyes would have ever called a small person, but those same two eyes could also not miss that Valerie had a real size advantage over her. A few inches and more than a few pounds. While it wasn’t like she was a heavyweight going up against a lightweight or anything, it was a real edge she could and would employ in this match.

So far, with good results. She was able to lockdown Christina well enough, or so she thought, and she was preparing to transition to something more substantial.

Either Christina saw it coming or her reflexes were just that good, because she was in motion in the next moment. Valerie found herself tumbling over, the two of them going down in a heap - one that had her ont he bottom.

”No-”

Valerie realized what was coming, what Christina was about to do, and she threw her body to the side as she went for the arm, attempting to stack on top of her foe, fold those legs, and stop her before she could pull her arm clean off. At the same time, she tried to clasp her hands together, adding another layer of protection.

”Not. Happening.”

Christina felt the shift immediately—the stack, the weight coming forward, Valerie’s hands locking together to deny the extension. She gritted her teeth and tried to angle her hips anyway, pulling back hard, but the size difference made itself known. Valerie wasn’t panicking. She was anchoring, stacking her just enough to keep the arm safe.

Christina exhaled sharply and made the call.

Not yet.

Instead of forcing it, she lifted her leg and drove her heel down into Valerie’s stomach, the impact thudding solidly, trying to force a grunt from her opponent as the pressure broke. Christina released the armbar attempt and rolled through smoothly, pushing off the mat and rising to her feet in one fluid motion.

She didn’t give Valerie time to reset.

Still controlling the arm, Christina twisted sharply, snapping her opponent down to a seated position with a arm wringer!

The crowd reacted as Valerie was yanked off balance, her arm stretched out and exposed. Christina attempted to step through, trying to plant her boot firmly on the trapped arm, pinning it behind Valerie’s back...

If successful she would then stomp down hard with her free foot onto the other arm!

While Valerie wouldn’t call herself a submissionalist - or whatever the proper term was for someone who specialized in them - she would say she was more well-versed in them than most, thanks to her amateur wrestling background. It gave her a good sense of how to handle things while she was on the ground, and when she combined that with her natural power, people had trouble keeping her down for too long. A nice little perk for being one of the bigger middleweights out there.

Christina, however, had experience on her side, and that could overcome a great many things, power included. Instead of panicking when her plan went awry, like many might’ve - like even Valerie herself might’ve, if she were honest - the woman went to Plan B.

Kicks. Stiff, strong kicks to Valerie’s stomach. As much as she might’ve wanted to hold her position, it simply was not happening, and she was forced to release and let Christina rise up, with her arm still perilously in the woman’s clutches. She used that hold well, too, as she forced to sit back down in an awkward position.

Valerie hissed at the discomfort, but this alone wouldn’t have been too much of a problem. No, that came in when Christina brought her arm down on the arm, forcing it to hyperextended for an agonizing end with a vicious stomp.

Valerie wasn’t typically a screamer, but that move forced a shriek out of her with ease, and she rolled away clutching her tortured arm and kicking her legs as the pain ran its course. It wasn’t dislocated, thank God, but it certainly felt close to it, as if her tendons had been on the brink of separation for an agonizing second.

Christina didn’t give Valerie the chance to fully escape the pain. The moment she saw her rolling away and clutching her arm, Christina was already on her, fingers lacing around the wrist and forearm with purpose. She hauled Valerie back up to her feet, keeping the arm elevated just enough to keep it compromised.

Then, without warning, Christina dropped backward.

She fell flat onto her back and yanked Valerie down with her, dragging the arm tight against her chest and threading her legs into place as she snapped on a Fujiwara armbar!

Christina arched her hips and pulled the limb in close, forearm pressed tight as she wrenched back with deliberate pressure, targeting the elbow and shoulder! The crowd buzzed as Valerie was forced to endure it, Christina adjusting her grip, tightening, loosening just enough to prolong it rather than finish it outright.

She held it there for several seconds—long enough to make the point, long enough for the fans to feel it—but not so long that the pace died. Christina could hear the crowd; they wanted motion, impact, momentum.

So she shifted.

Christina rolled her body hard, dragging Valerie with her into a gator roll, tumbling across the mat in a blur of limbs before coming up with control intact.

—then snapped her over with a gutwrench suplex, sending her crashing back-first into the canvas!

Valley Doll III was not Valley Doll II. Her mother was a consummate kick, the ‘Chick of 1,001 Kicks’, but those skills had never rubbed off much on her. While she did have a powerful kick when the occasion called for, she wasn’t too fast with them, didn’t have the same precision. She much preferred upper body offense and suplexes. That was her bread-and-butter.

She needed her arms, both of them, for the bulk of her offense. Punching and lifting and squeezing stuff. It seemed that Christina realized this, too, because she was out to get her arm with a burning passion.

She had thought she could get a moment of reprieve to nurse her ailing limb when she rolled away, but the woman simply was not having it. She stuck on her like a mad dog on a bone, worrying at the limb, and defying Valerie’s every attempt to get it free.

In the next moment, the two of them went tumbling in a Gator Roll, bringing them head over heels and back again, until they were met with an abrupt stop. At first, Valerie was confused as Christina moved over her body, not recognizing what the woman was about to do - until she was already being lifted off the canvas and it was far too late to stop it.

It was rare for Valerie to be the suplexee and not the suplexer, so she had to concede; she wasn’t used to it. She went flying through the air, came down hard on her back, and immediately went into a roll, trying to make her way under the ropes and to the outside of the ring. She needed a breather in the worst way.

Christina was already moving the moment Valerie hit the mat and started rolling away. She pushed up to her feet and followed, eyes locked on her retreating opponent as she slipped under the bottom rope.

“Running already?”

Christina called after her, a sharp edge of confidence in her voice as the crowd reacted.

She stepped through the ropes, landed to the mats outside the ring, and reached down, grabbing Valerie. With a firm grip and a quick adjustment of her stance, Christina hauled her up, turning her body and loading Valerie across her shoulders in a fireman’s carry. The size difference made it a struggle, but Christina powered through it, teeth clenched as she steadied her balance.

Christina took two quick steps and turned to the nearest ring post, as she attempted to drive her opponent forward and dump Valerie off her shoulders back-first into the cold steel of the ring post!

Valerie wouldn’t call what she was doing ‘running’, exactly. ‘A tactical retreat’? Yeah, that sounded better. As much as she wasn’t crazy about it, she’d been taught to swallow her pride in such situations. She needed to regroup and make some space between her and Christina, before this woman ran away with the match and left her in the dust.

She could swallow her pride, especially if it kept her safe in a match, which was very much the case, here.

Christina wasn’t about to give her space, however, as the woman was quick to follow after her. Valerie let out and awkward squawk as she was hefted up, a sensation she was very much not used to, and put into fireman’s carry. With her turning around, she could make a decent guess what her next move was going to be, and she wanted no part of it.

Desperate, Valerie tried to throw herself off the woman’s back as she marched forward, hoping to land behind her before she could get bisected on the pole. At the same time, she pushed hard into Christina’s back, hoping to force her forward so she could have a taste of the harsh metal, instead.

The Filipina felt the shift a split second too late. Valerie’s weight slid, her balance broken as the push came hard into her back...

CLANG!

The steel post met Christina spine-first, the impact driving a sharp grunt from her lungs as pain exploded across her back. Her grip gave way instantly. She staggered forward a step, then collapsed to a knee near the apron, one arm wrapping instinctively around her midsection as she tried to suck air back into her chest.

She shook her head, jaw clenched, teeth bared as she forced herself to move. One hand reached for the apron, fingers curling tight as she dragged herself upward, boots scraping against the floor. Her back screamed in protest, but she refused to stay down, pushing up slowly, unsteadily—

Not fast enough to escape unscathed.

Christina was still rising, still hurting, still vulnerable...just long enough for Valerie to have a couple of precious seconds to capitalize before the Fighting Filipina could fully recover.
