The Prima Donna's Diary - Chapter 9: A Pair of Prima Donnas (vs Ophelia Van Der Meer (D))

By some stroke of luck, Ami managed to endure the painful Camel Clutch...or maybe it was just the sheer level of fear she felt from the glamorous dark-skinned woman's threats that forced her to keep her head in the game and not tap out yet. Regardless, the outcome was the same...the slender and cutesy rookie wrestler was left in a world of tremendous amounts of agony...and things were only beginning as Ami barely survived the whole ordeal by the skin of her teeth.

Ophelia finally allowed her frail, petite opponent to collapse in her grasp, though not before taking a rather long victory lap in the process, flexing and posturing while keeping Ami somewhat bent, only to let her go like a fisherman releasing a catch back into the water...but even the audience knew that Ophelia had no plans on simply sticking to the routine of catch and release. No, her game was far more torturous and methodical.

Eventually, Ami would manage to stand herself back up, slowly rising to her feet with nothing but sheer determination and the crowd's cheers to keep her nearly broken engine going. She couldn't allow herself to go out like this, turned into nothing more than a toy to be hopelessly embarrassed by the arrogant and cruel whims of Ophelia. She tried pulling herself together as best she could, making her way to a somewhat upright position thanks to the ropes, leaving herself propped up against the turnbuckles in the corner...but this was all part of her plan as she wanted to try and force Ophelia's hand, let her opponent get a little too comfortable and full of herself. Ophelia's mouth and terrible attitude were writing checks that she wouldn't be able to cash, and Ami was going to collect on the arrogant woman's dues.

If everything went according to the hopeful Prima Donna's plan, she'd attempt to counter Ophelia's next move once she got close enough. All she could do now was play possum and hope that Ophelia took the bait!

Ophelia rolled her shoulders as she watched the rookie claw her way up, a sly smile tugging at her painted lips. “Aww… look at you~” she purred, sauntering toward the opposing corner like a lioness closing in on her wounded prey. “Still standing? How precious. You must REALLY think you have a chance.”

The audience’s cheers for Ami only seemed to amuse her further. Ophelia raised a manicured hand to her ear, using her index finger and pretending to listen as the arena rallied behind the trembling girl. “Hear that, sweetheart? Don't be confused, they don’t want you to win… they just want to see how far I’ll bend you before you break.”

As Ami clutched the top rope, Ophelia simply smirked, lifting her arms into a wide pose, before with a sharp snap of her hips, Ophelia broke into a confident run. The crowd’s noise spiked as the tall, dark-skinned powerhouse charged across the ring, her long legs eating up the distance in mere seconds. The slap of her boots against the canvas was like a drumroll heralding execution....and also her ass clapped okay yes I know it clapped cuz she ran fast.

Unless the smaller girl could move or counter, Ami would only have to brace herself before Ophelia’s arm crashed into her chest for aa corner lariat. If it hit, the lariat’s impact was thunderous, sending the rookie’s head snapping back as her body jolted against the turnbuckles. “Pathetic,” she muttered softly, then, with theatrical flair, she grabbed Ami by the chin, forcing the rookie to look up at her. “Don’t faint yet, little dove. I want them to see your face when I end this.” She smirked, as she looked to put her on top of the the turnbuckle, leaving her in a dangerous spot!

Ami could feel the ring shaking beneath her as Ophelia began to charge toward her like a bullet train, her mocking words still circling in her mind as the dark-skinned woman continued her cruel and belittling tirade against the aspiring rookie, this time aiming to crush her in the corner and leave no doubt in the audience's mind that Ami was nothing more than her plaything.

However, at the last second, Ami gathered everything she had and dropped down LOW, as low as she could get, ducking down under the gargantuan woman's massive wrecking ball of an arm and slipping past her blind spot toward safety. The resulting dodge would result in the arrogant Ophelia crashing RIGHT into the turnbuckles at maximum speed, unable to slow herself down as she built up too much momentum. With one swift move, the scrappy and petite underdog demonstrated to the woman of wrestling royalty that she was never too big to fail...and that the Prima Donna Darling was FAR from finished. The MOMENT Ophelia crashed into the corner, Ami would wrap her arms around the big woman's body, planning on using the momentum behind her little crash against her as she planted her feet as firmly as possible before arching her back and using all her muscles to TOSS Ophelia off her feet and SLAM her into the canvas with a breathtaking German Suplex that got the crowd off their feet as Ami turned the tides on the so-called 'Superior Star' in the blink of an eye!!!

Ophelia’s confident stride turned into a full-blown sprint—each step echoing off the canvas like a warning drumbeat. Her grin only grew as she saw Ami frozen in that corner, trembling, wide-eyed, and barely keeping herself upright. Perfect. The audience could almost feel the impact coming. Ophelia threw her arm back, her powerful frame twisting like a coiled spring before she launched forward—

And then—nothing went as planned.

The instant before her arm could crash into Ami’s chest, the smaller girl dropped low—slipping right under her strike, the warning drumbeat back firing in the fact that it warned the smaller girl of the danger barreling towards her, as Ophelia had to take a full second to process what happened, and by the time her brain caught up to her, her momentum betrayed her.

“Wha—!?”

She barely got the word out before her chest collided with the turnbuckles at full force. The sound was thunderous. The entire buckle shook as she bounced off the buckle, making the overconfident Ophelia wince in pain after the brutal collision with the buckle, so much so that she bounced off the corner, and what was worse? That the impact from her own charge was being used against her! “Y-you—!” she hissed, staggering as one arm instinctively reached to clutch her chest. Her toned abs tensed, but just as she wanted a moment to recover, Ami would use the return to finally fight back. If Ami was deadlifting Ophelia there wasn't a cold day in hell she'd ever lift, let alone suplex her, but a cold day had come, as thanks to her own hubris, Ophelia had given Ami the opening she needed!

“Stop—!” Ophelia barked, coming out as an order but very clearly out of panic, cutting through her usual composed tone. She tried to push her hips forward, to break the grip, to use her size advantage—but Ami was already pulling. The smaller girl’s body tensed, her back arching, and with a roar of effort—

SLAM!!!

The German suplex landed perfectly! Ophelia's entire world was flipped upside down as she was folded up, wincing in pain and anger, folded up brutally before her legs were flipped up and over, leading to her having to roll through before flopping down with a thud. The once-dominant Prima Donna’s chest heaved, her painted lips trembling as her mind raced to process what just happened. The rookie had actually thrown her.

Ophelia blinked through the haze, eyes fluttering as she stared at the arena lights. Her body refused to respond for a moment, before she'd attempt to recover quickly as her pride was screaming louder then any pain her her upper back could cause. HOW DARE SHE DO THIS, THIS PATHETIC SKINNY BRAT! A sharp breath escaped Ophelia’s lips as the crowd’s roar washed over them both. “Tch…” she hissed softly, forcing herself to roll to her hands, despite the ache in her back, one hand rubbing her upper back glaring at her. “Enjoy it while it lasts.” she growled under her breath Even through the pain, even with her pride bruised and her body rattled, the “Superior Star” couldn’t let her smirk die completely. But behind those narrowed eyes, it was clear—Ami’s counter had stung. Not just her body. Her ego.

Ami's plan worked just as intended, with the Prima Donna Darling managing to outmaneuver her large, overconfident foe, using Ophelia's momentum against her as she narrowly avoided being trampled by the so-called Superior Star. The wrestling world was stunned in disbelief, audience members and the commentary team on the edges of their seats as the dark-skinned woman crashed into the turnbuckle with a stiff grunt, her aura of perfection and class shattering into shards from that one incident, a single misstep that saw her glorious facade crumble into dust as everyone watched on with a singular realization...something that would cloud Ophelia's reputation as her flawless debut was suddenly tainted.

The cold realization that the 'One and Only' star of the Van Der Meer family wasn't as perfect as she seemed.

Even as Ophelia quickly rebounded, there was no stopping what came next as the petite brunette used her opponent's folly against her. Ami latched onto Ophelia from behind, tugging on her as tightly as possible as Ophelia barked commands at her, DEMANDING that she cease everything at that instant, but Ami wasn't hearing it. With every yelling comment, Ophelia became more unhinged, losing her cool as her temper flared up like a raging inferno, as the scales slowly tipped in Ami's favor. With one strong grunt, the Prima Donna Darling managed to lean backward in time with Ophelia's momentum, SLAMMING her into the canvas with a SHOCKING German Suplex. Ophelia was left stunned, questioning herself and what had just occurred as her whole world came crashing down after she hit the mat.

While Ophelia might feign being completely fine, Ami saw through the thinly veiled facade now. She knew better...she could see that everything was just a guise, a trick to convince Ami that she had no place being here, sharing the same ring as Ophelia, or that she couldn't beat her. But now-...that impossible outcome seemed a little more tangible.

With that in mind, Ami raced forward, launching herself at Ophelia with no fear in her eyes, not allowing the gargantuan woman to intimidate her any longer!!! With confidence in her heart and a plan in her mind, she'd bait a reaction out of the recovering Ophelia, trying to get her to make the first move before dropping down real low into a Baseball Slide, at which Ami would slip through the gap between Ophelia's legs, popping right back up to catch her with a sudden Dropkick right to the chest once she turned around!!!

Ophelia barely had time to steady her footing—her back still throbbing, her pride still stinging—when she caught movement in her peripheral vision. The rookie was charging her. Again. Like she hadn’t learned her place the first, second, or previous times Ophelia had manhandled her. The audacity. The absolute NERVE, THE GALL OF IT ALL. Ami should’ve been crawling, begging for mercy, bowing her head in apology for daring to suplex a Van Der Meer. Instead, the toothpick of a girl came sprinting straight at her with fire in her eyes.

“Oh, you have GOT to be kidding me,” Ophelia snarled under her breath, the words dripping through clenched teeth.

She pushed off her knee and surged upright. Her hair whipped behind her with the sharp twist of her body as she dashed towards her with a burst of speed that shocked even herself. Pain or not, humiliation or not, Ophelia wasn’t about to let this runt get the upper hand twice. Absolutely not! “You little runt—!” Ophelia barked as she sprinted in, her stride long and predatory as she cocked her arm back, aiming to lariat the rookie-But Ami wasn’t there.

She dropped low again—quick, slippery, infuriatingly nimble—sliding right between Ophelia’s muscular and sexy legs (as she'd demand they be refered to) before the larger woman could react. “STOP RUNNING—!” she snapped, spinning around far too fast to maintain stability, rage overriding her sense of timing. But it was too late to even stop that, as Ami had already jumped into the air, knee's tucked into her chest, primed and ready before she'd shoot!

WHAM!!!

Her boots SLAMMED square into Ophelia’s chest—HER chest!? She dare put her DIGUSTING PUTRID FEET ON HER CHEST?!? Ophelia’s breath exploded from her lungs in a single choked gasp as the shock rippled through her torso.

“GHH—!!”

She wasn’t knocked off her feet—no, she refused to let that happen, but she WAS sent stumbling back several steps, the impact forcing her to jolt with each retreating footfall. Her shoulder blades hit the turnbuckles with a hard THUD that rattled the padding. Her fingers immediately curled around the top ropes, gripping them so hard her knuckles gleamed white. Her chest heaved. Her jaw locked. Her nostrils flared.

Her eyes, her starry eyed star, would glare at Ami, the little RUNT was ruining her debut match. The utter fury burning in her chest was glaring back at the small girl, hotter then any sun could ever dream, though a sun would never be as angry as Ophelia was.

“You…” she growled, voice low, trembling with fury she could barely contain. “You LITTLE—”

She cut herself off with a hissed breath, trying to pull herself together, trying to stand tall despite the ache pulsing across her sternum. The entire arena thundered with cheers for Ami’s reversal, and every noise, every chant, every scream scraped across Ophelia’s already bruised ego.

Her posture straightened. Her lips curled back.

“You think that was clever?” she spat, her voice rising just enough to be heard above the crowd. “You think that was ENOUGH? You're RUNNING, you're not better then me because you learnt how to DODGE. How foolish of me to get so worked up." She snickered, seemingly recomposing herself. "I hope your little two moves of doom were enough-" She pushed off the buckles, her muscles trembling with focused rage.

“—I’m going to make sure to give you a GENUINE BEATING FOR THAT.”

Ami's back hit the canvas after knocking the rude and arrogant Ophelia into the corner, sending her stumbling back into the turnbuckles. While Ami's attacks weren't doing a lot of physical damage, they were DESTROYING Ophelia's psyche, causing that thin veil of composure to slip bit by bit. Ami was making a fool out of Ophelia, and even as the woman stood nice and tall for all to see, acting as if the Prima Donna Darling's attacks did little more than annoy her, Ami could see that Ophelia seemed so much smaller than before. Some wrestling prodigy she was, taken down by a young gal half her size, her pristine outfit sullied by the brunette's boots, and her chest used as a doormat after taking Ami's Dropkick dead center.

When Ami kipped back up to her feet, she was wearing a wide smirk on her face, flaunting her figure and soaking up the crowd's praise while Ophelia had her quiet little meltdown in the corner. "Just try it. I'm running circles around you while you're stuck running your MOUTH-" Ami said, the crowd going 'Ooo!!!' in response to the petite woman's sick burn, boosting Ami's confidence even further before she took off like a rocket. The fired-up brunette rushed forward to take this monstrous mountain of a woman head-on with all her might.

The petite brunette was through with allowing the gargantuan woman to bully and berate her. She wasn't some perfect, invincible queen...she was just a big, haughty meathead. Besides, in a setting like this, Ophelia had WAY more to lose than Ami. Imagine the headlines now...the star child of the Van Der Meer lineage brought down by a mere...how did Ophelia put it? Oh right...a mere commoner...and so, Ami would continue on her makeshift tear across the ring, aiming to make a fool out of Ophelia once more with her high-flying offense that would use the bigger woman's size and weight against her as Ami vaulted over Ophelia, latching onto her head with legs before attempting to swing her around, tuck her down, and flip her over with a Canadian Destroyer right out of the corner!!!

Ophelia’s eyes narrowed to slits, her painted lips drawing into a tight, furious gritted frown. The rookie’s taunt and the crowd’s echoing mockery was beyond angry inducing. Every cheer for Ami was like a needle pricking Ophelia’s meticulously crafted aura of superiority. She could see the narrative shifting in real-time, and the fact it was so clearly fake, the sheer, galling audacity of the idea this skinny rookie made her blood simmer.

As Ami took off, a look of defiant fire in her eyes, Ophelia’s mind switched from rage to a cold, calculating focus. She saw the spring in the smaller girl’s step, the trajectory of her vault. She knew what she was doing since she already made the mistake of running in already. Ami was trying to use Ophelia’s own height and position against her, attempting to turn the corner into a launchpad, but this time, Ophelia wouldn't let her. As she rushed in, Ami landed, but Ophelia grabbed the turnbuckle smirking "Oh, what a PATHETIC TRICK" She spat, as she didn't budge from her spot against the turnbuckle. Instead, as Ami propelled herself upward, aiming to latch onto her head, Ophelia simply held the top ropes to keep herself planted! Her feet wide, bracing her entire formidable frame, becoming an immovable object rooted to the spot.

Ami’s legs would wrap around Ophelia’s head and neck, but the intended momentum died instantly. Ophelia refused to be pulled forward, her grip on the ropes absolute. The smaller girl hung there for a disorienting second, doing little but getting a faceful of Ophelia's backside as she spun around, holding Ami's legs. “Pathetic,” Ophelia hissed, her voice a low, venomous growl meant only for Ami’s ears. The word dripped with contempt. “You think your little circus tricks work on a GOD such a me? You’re nothing more then a gnat. An annoyance! But I will admit, you did annoy me.”

With a brutal, disdainful jerk of her shoulders and neck, Ophelia carried the girl on her shoulders eyeing across the ring. “You wanted my attention, commoner?” she spat, the last word a poisoned barb. “You have it. Now let me show you what a real primadonna does to pests.”

She didn’t wait for a retort. Turning sharply on her heel, Ophelia dashed with purposeful, angry strides across the ring, putting distance between them. She reached the opposite corner, before then flipping forward, slamming the small girl int the corner with brutal Alabama slam into the turnbuckle! The crushing move, if it wasn't clear already, was twice as brutal as anything she had done already, and it was clear that Ophelia was done playing games with er foe.
