Iris of the Tiger: Bengal VS. Iris Takahashi (Falls Count Anywhere)

Unread post by BengalTheBlazeTiger »

Match Type: 1v1, Falls Count Anywhere

Bengal, the Blaze Tiger

Bengal always enjoyed a good Falls Count Anywhere match. After all, it was part of a Tiger's nature to hate being caged in. She preferred moving beyond the ropes, turning the ringside area into her own personal hunting ground. On top of that, it seemed like the crowd booed her a bit less in such settings. Perhaps they were worried that Bengal would use the special stipulation to get some payback. More room to maneuver, and less obnoxious fans - what's not to like about that?

So, when her manager offered her the chance at another FCA bout, Bengal snapped at the opportunity. She didn't even ask who her opponent would be, although the other woman volunteered that information anyway: Iris Takahashi, the Demon of Hope. Apparently, the two of them were familiar with each other, since Iris was a former manager herself. But Bengal hadn't cared about any of that history. When she heard her foe's moniker, her only response was an incredulous laugh. "Seriously? I 'hope' my next opponent has a less corny name," she chuckled, as she turned her back on her manager. "Book the match. I'll send this demon back to hell, where she belongs," she declared, striding out of the room.

The match took place the very next week. As she approached the ring, swaying her snowy hair to the beat of her entrance music, Bengal briefly wondered why all this was necessary. Why did the contestants have to get in the ring for their introductions, when the fight itself could happen anywhere in the arena? She supposed it was just one of those rituals that had to be followed, to appease the wrestling gods.

The announcer's voice echoed through the overhead speakers: "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a Falls Count Anywhere match, set for one fall! Introducing first...from Kolkata, India...standing five feet seven inches, and weighing 140 pounds...THE BLAZE TIGER! BENGAL!"

The Indian woman bared her teeth at the jeering fans, trying to memorize some of their faces for later. Then she turned her gaze to the ramp, eagerly awaiting the "Demon of Hope". Any woman with a title like that must have an equally spectacular entrance.

Some seconds later, once Bengal finished her entrance... the lights of the arena turn purple and fuchsia, and Iris's theme starts to play in the arena, along with the typical mixed reactions, being known as a Tweener. The Demon shows up in the stage, looking up straight at the ring, and at the Tiger, who was inside waiting for her.

Spoiler

"And her opponent... also from Tokyo, Japan... Weighing in at 6'1" and 140 lbs... She is The Demon of Hope! IRIIIIIIIIISSSSS TAKAHAAAAASHHHHIIIIII!"

Iris looks at Bengal with a serious expression on her face while going towards the ring. Later, Iris starts walking faster and slides under the bottom rope, but not to finish her entrance. Instead, she would tackle Bengal with the shoulder on midsection to get on top and start throwing strikes at the head, making heat from the start!

The Demon of Hope's entrance was just as striking as Bengal had predicted. The Tiger was fascinated by the dancing lights and pulsing piano music - maybe too much so. Enthralled by the spectacle, she didn't notice the way Iris began to accelerate toward her. By the time her opponent slid into the ring, it was already too late to react in time.

WHAM! The Japanese woman plowed into her like a runaway train, her long magenta hair flying up behind her as she ran. Bengal was unable to stop her from taking the fight to the mat, mounting the Tiger and throwing a barrage of strikes at her exposed head! She landed several solid blows before Bengal could raise her guard. The Tiger had been overwhelmed by the sudden onslaught. She was no stranger to starting matches a second before the bell, to give herself an advantage. But she'd never had an opponent turn the tables on her like this, and do the same thing to her!

"REF! Are you BLIND?!?" Bengal screeched, her voice whiny and frantic. Perhaps that was true, or perhaps the official was simply tired of the way Bengal constantly flouted the rules, and decided she was due for a taste of her own medicine. In any case, the match continued uninterrupted, and the Tiger was left to fend for herself. As Iris drew back her arm for another punch, Bengal attempted to interrupt her with a quick jab to the nose. If that worked, she'd grab the Demon's arm and bend her elbow at a painful angle, while wrapping her legs around her opponent's head, trying to lock in a triangle choke!

Iris tackled Bengal down to start the match with some heat, and started to throw punches at the head when the bell rang, until she gets hit in the nose with a jab, delivered by her opponent. The Demon rolls back after getting off of her and touches her nose. Fortunately, the hit doesn't make her bleed at the very beginning. Iris crawls, but she is caught of the arm by Bengal. However, she puts herself on her knees in front of her and throws some forearm strikes with the free arm to break the painful grip before the choke.

Bengal felt a jolt run through her arm as her jab connected, sending Iris rolling away. However, as Bengal tried to transition into her triangle choke, the Demon launched into a barrage of forearm strikes. The young woman's arms flickered through the air, until her gloves became a blur of white and fuschia stripes. The Tiger was forced to release her grip, throwing up her own arms in front of her face to defend herself. But her legs remained locked in place around Iris's torso, preventing the Demon from rising to her feet.

Once again, Bengal bided her time, carefully guarding from the continued strikes while she searched for an opening. The Japanese fighter had impressive stamina, but she was bound to get exhausted eventually. If Iris gave her the chance, Bengal would lunge up and seize the "horns" attached to the Demon's temples, using them for leverage to pull her opponent into a headbutt!

The strikes were successful against Bengal, and Iris got sent back after the Triangle Choke attempt couldn't work. But Iris was still trapped between Bengal's legs, which don't let her stand up, until Bengal grabbed her by the "horns" to go for a headbutt, but Iris takes one step ahead of Bengal and headbutts her instead, two or three times.

Later, Iris spreads both of Bengasl's legs and finally stands up, then jumps off with both feet and lands against Bengal's stomach, with a double stomp.

As Bengal grabbed Iris by the horns, the Demon suddenly pounced forward, smashing the Tiger with her own series of headbutts! Bengal reeled back and collapsed to the canvas, cross-eyed, wondering if she had suffered a concussion. Dazed by the head-on collision, she was unable to stop her opponent from pulling her legs apart, then stomping her exposed stomach with both feet. The impact drove all the air out of her body, with a wheezing noise like an old boiler starting up.

Everyone watching could see that the Tiger had taken some serious damage. On the other hand, Iris's current position left her open to a potential counter-attack. Before the Demon could hop off her, Bengal crunched her own body upward, trying to ignore the pain flaring through her midsection. She seized her opponent by the ankle and twisted, attempting to throw Iris off balance and force her to the mat!

Iris jumped off over Bengal, going for that double stomp with both foot hitting her opponent's midsection... The jump was calculated, and the move was executed as she wanted to, giving the Tiger some pain on that spot... but she wasn't expecting her to make a quick counter attack and ends falling on the mat, with her front body and chest feeling the pain caused by the fall, grunting and gasping a bit before rolling to lay with the body up...

But Iris wouldn't let things easier for Bengal and rolls outside the ring, to get some distance from her... and some time to recover. Once outside, she just stands down on one knee, with her right arm over the apron, waiting for her opponent to come at her...

Bengal’s ankle twist succeeded, sending Iris tumbling to the canvas. With her opponent’s weight no longer pressing down on her, the Tiger was able to fill her lungs with air once again. She probed gingerly at her torso with her fingers as she did so, checking for bruises - and finding several. Trying to ignore the throbbing ache in her chest, she rose to her feet as quickly as she could, not wanting to give the Demon any more time to recover.

Glancing around, she could see that her opponent had already rolled out of the ring. She was slumped against the apron, eyeing her rival intently with her uniquely-colored eyes, but not making any move to attack. Clearly, with the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation in place, Iris felt like she could take as much time to rest as she needed. In that case, it was up to Bengal to prove her wrong.

Tossing her hair over her shoulder, the Tiger spun on her heel and sprinted to the opposite side of the ring. She turned just before reaching the ropes, rebounding off the elastic for extra speed, then rocketing back toward her opponent. For a moment, it looked as if the Indian fighter was going for a suicide dive between the top and middle ropes, but she had something slightly different in mind. As she approached Iris, she dropped her body and extended her legs, like a baseball player making a slide. If the gambit worked, she’d slip under the bottom rope and kick the Demon directly in the face, knocking her away from the apron!

Iris took some space and time to catch some breath, while leaning with the arm on the apron, after she rolled outside. Later, she stands up straight when seeing that Bengal went for a suicide dive, but at the last momento she changed to a baseball slide dropkick aimed at the face...

But whatever was the move Bengal was going to do, Iris moves aside to dodge and makes her miss. Inmediately, Iris pulls her by the legs to make her lean against the apron, then she raises both of her arms to hit Bengal in the chest with a double handed chop, using both palms, and making a loud noise on that spot!
