Playing A (Super)Villain - Black Swan vs Nova Steele

Unread post by ADarlingDucky »

Match Type: Standard Match
Victory Conditions: Pinfall, Submission, or KO

"No Vesper, no Mika... not even that dork Tracy is available tonight... what's a girl to do!" Came a lone voice from the locker room, as the affable and ever-bubbly luchadora Black Swan bemoaned the lack of any availability from her rivals. The luchadora was many things, but patient was not one of them, and it was definitely showing tonight, as she prepped for a match with a new talent, at least to her, a woman who so far, had remained a complete mystery. In some ways, it was eating Swan that she was taking on a new competitor instead of settling the scores, but she'd quickly stand herself up and shake her head, even giving a few quick pats to her cheeks in order to re-focus.

"Come on, focus! Whoever this is, we'll just make em our brand new rival! And crush em!" Swan assured herself, bouncing up and down on her toes before she fixed the door in front of her with a focused smile, stepping forwards and confidently pushing her way through! The trip to the arena's entrance after that was short, and as Swan let the announcer's voice bring her in, the luchadora would step out onto the ramp, a picture of curvy confidence!

Swan bounced down the ring, waving and blowing kisses this way and that, before she would reach the squared circle itself, the masked wrestler athletically hopping up onto the apron, before gripping the top ropes tight, pulling back on them before using them to front flip into the ring, turning and offering a wave to the crowd! Only when she gestured for a microphone did the noise drop, as she raised it to her lips, something to say to the onlookers!

"Alright everyone! Who's ready for some action?!" Swan cried, pausing to hold the microphone out, letting the fans cheer in reply before she went to speak again. "Then you're in luck! Because as soon as my opponent gets down here, you're gonna see sparks fly! I'm about to whoop their ass up one side of the ring and down the other! Hope you folks are prepared for a good time, but not necessarily a long one!" With the crowd thoroughly riled, she would turn to the and point to the top of the ramp, as if signaling the backstage workers to send them out right then and there! Swan could only hope that they sent out someone to match her energy, to really take on the mantle of a rival!

Starcourt - To Hell and Back
The arena dimmed, a wash of cool blue lighting sweeping across the stage as the first lingering note of her music struck, and the light began to pulse. The energy of the crowd quieted to a slow simmer as onlookers waited in quiet anticipation.

Image
stepped out onto the stage, her silhouette framed in the glow. She didn’t strut, she didn’t bounce, she simply stood tall, eyes fixed straight ahead on Black Swan waiting in the ring. For a moment, she didn’t move, letting the crowd’s cheers build behind her. Then, slowly, she raised her chin to affix Black Swan with her icy blue gaze. In this wordless moment of intensity, the crowd filled it with their roar.

Halfway down the ramp, Nova slowed her pace. The audience roared louder, and this time she extended one hand outward, letting her fingertips brush against the outstretched palms of fans lining the barricade. She gave them no big gestures, no theatrics, just the simple, sincere connection of touch as her eyes never left the ring. Her unflinching stare was locked on Swan, a silent promise of the clash to come.

At the foot of the ramp, she stopped completely. The cheers swelled around her, but Nova was motionless, her presence alone commanding the moment. Slowly, she placed one palm against the edge of the apron, tilting her chin upward to meet the masked luchadora’s gaze. Black Swan was a flame, playful, vibrant, and ever dancing; Nova was gravity itself, quiet and immovable.

At last, Nova climbed onto the apron. With fluid grace, she gripped the top rope, vaulted sideways over it, and landed in a three-point hero pose, her fist pressed to the mat, hair cascading down around her in volumes. She rose smoothly to her feet, turned toward the hard camera side of the ring, and lifted one palm high toward the rafters, fingers spread wide.

The lights dimmed, a single spotlight bathing her in pale glow as her face tilted upward, expression earnest. With a slow roll of her shoulders, she drew her hand back down, pressing it firmly against her heart as though drawing cosmic strength into herself. The crowd roared louder still, not mocking, not derisive, but inspired, caught in the sincerity of the gesture.

Her blue eyes found Swan again, steady and sharp as steel. Nova’s voice carried clearly, echoing through the hush between cheers:“From the edge of the galaxy to the center of this ring, Justice has called to me, and I have answered. Tell me, she who soars on wings of night… what calling brings you before me tonight?”

Swan's eyes remained fixed on the top of the ramp, and as the lights in the arena dimmed, the luchadora's gaze would sharpen, waiting and watching as the crowd grew restless, and her opponent's entrance grew closer and closer. And then, following the pulsing lights, a figure would emerge at the top of the ramp, illuminated in the cool glow, standing motionless and upright, only eventually moving to lift her head up and fix Swan with a gaze that the luchadora could practically feel, let alone see. It was a stark contrast to the way that Swan, fiery and vibrant, had greeted the crowd, and the masked woman could feel her eyes transfixed upon the busty woman ahead of her as she began her walk to the ring.

The way that she carried herself commanded a certain air of respect, and Swan watched the entire time, all the way until her foe reached the ring, as she walked, before Nova would once again, look up to make eye contact with her, before climbing up. Nova followed with a leap into the ring, and she'd land in a three point stance, Swan admiring the fluidity with which she moved, something that a trained eye could pick up as taking hours and hours of training and honing the body! But as Nova moved forwards, raising her arm up to the singular beacon of light, it all seemed to come together in Swan's mind, all at once, in a simple realization.

She was playing a hero.

When Nova had finished drawing in the energy from... well, wherever she drew it from, she'd finally look to Swan, meeting the luchadora's gaze, before beginning to speak. Flowery, fanciful speak, the type that a classical hero would perform. And in that moment, a split second decision would be made as Swan, taking a step forwards, meeting Nova's steely gaze with a determined smirk, holding up a hand, fingers clawing the air!

"My calling... my calling is chaos! I have come to take you, heroine of justice, and drag you to where no light can reach you, to where no justice can find you, and to make you... all mine." Swan dropped her voice, stepping in even closer, until the pair were close to touching. "You'll find that mayhem is more fun anyways... so submit to me... and my chaos!" Swan would fully embrace the performance, looking up at the larger woman with a fiery gaze, taking the role of the chaotic villain, ready to fight against the representation of justice!

Nova’s chest rose and fell steadily as Swan declared her chaotic calling, the arena buzzing at the electric tension between them. The heroine didn’t stand stiff and statuesque. Her body moved with a smooth, deliberate rhythm, every step radiating purpose, energy gliding across her frame like heat shimmer. When she raised a hand to settle the crowd, the subtle arch of her back and the controlled grace of her movements drew just as much focus as her words.

She paced a slow half-circle, boots ringing sharply against the canvas, her posture tall but fluid, hips carrying the faintest sway as she moved. There was spring in her step, a surprising lightness for such a powerful frame, as if she relished finding herself across from a kindred spirit who dared to meet her not only in combat, but in spectacle. A sly, knowing smirk curled the edge of her lips before she tucked it away to remain in character, her head snapping sharply back toward Swan, eyes blazing. Her hand swept outward in a clean, commanding arc, fingers slicing the air as she extended her arm toward the masked woman.

Chaos! To make court with the Queen of Discord is no small act of evil! I had reserved my judgments until I heard your words, as the colors of your feathers do not define your purity in these… progressive times. The heroine cleared her throat then inhaled deeply through her nose, chest rising proudly, before swinging her arm to the side in a wide, theatrical arc as she stepped closer, hips rolling subtly with the stride.

“And all of this, simply to cast me low into your sinful whim and debaucherous ways?!" Nova’s voice boomed, letting the words linger, daring the crowd to react. They jeered in part, but many more cheered, swept up in the tension between the two women. Nova’s eyes flicked briefly to the crowd, her lips curling into a tiny, almost teasing smile before her focus snapped back to Swan.

“No agent of the shadows could ever hope to cage me.” Her tone was unwavering, but her body leaned closer, shoulders rolling, the faint brush of her chest rising against Swan’s space as she whispered low and hoarse, just for her: “My light will scorch you to embers. The Black Swan will be no more, and in her place, a phoenix shall rise to claim your ashes.”

For the briefest moment, the heat of her intensity broke into something softer, an unspoken acknowledgement, one performer to another. A woman who wore a figurative mask recognizing the strength of the woman who wore a literal one.

Then she pulled back, standing tall once more, posture straight and proud, hands flexing at her sides like coiled power. Pivoting sharply on her heel, she thrust an arm skyward in a bold, commanding motion, her voice booming like a war-drum.

“But wherever you would drag me, I will carry the light. Mayhem thrives in the dark, but I will shine my light in every corner, leaving it no place to cower! When the dust settles over your kingdom of anarchy, there will only be one truth left for you, Swan, black of heart and feather.” She pointed, body shifting forward with conviction. That Justice. Will always. Prevail.

The crowd erupted, chanting, roaring, stamping their feet, swept into the spectacle. Nova stepped closer still, until only inches separated them, the heat of her breath mingling with Swan’s. Her fists curled tight, shoulders squared, every line of her body radiating a fierce, fearlessness and undeniably charismatic magnetism.

Re: Playing A (Super)Villain - Black Swan vs Nova Steele

Swan was unprepared to deliver a villainous monologue today, not having prepared one when she woke up, but all in all, her attempt at getting one out in the heat of the moment seemed to succeed, as Nova took it all in, watching and listening with a stern expression. Swan left her last words lingering in the air, an invitation for Nova to respond to her taunts, and respond she did, as her arm suddenly swung outwards, dramatically extending towards the masked woman, Nova crying out in the face of Swan's villainy! And if Swan had thought that this woman was something of a ham before, she was now getting the entire deli menu, as her opponent continued on, flowery words and impassioned speech falling over the crowd, who ate up each single sentence. And Swan, admittedly, was much the same.

The luchadora didn't try to hide a slightly lusty gaze towards Nova's chest as she stepped in closer, eyes trailing over her body and even down to her hips for just a moment, before shifting back up to meet her gaze. This woman was certainly one hell of a looker, and if she hadn't committed herself to playing the villainous foil to her heroine, she would have been all over her already. Of course, doing one didn't mean that she couldn't do just a bit of the other. In fact, they might work together nicely at the end of the day...

"Hahahahahahahah!" Swan widened her stance, threw her head back, and placed her hands on her hips as she laughed, letting her voice ring out to the sky, emulating several supervillains with her cackle! She let it soak in the air for a moment before her head lowered and she met Nova's gaze once more, her grin widening, as she took on a confident expression!

"You think me weak enough to be overpowered by your light? It's adorable that this little twinkling knight of justice thinks she can beat me... let alone staunch the flow of my chaos! You think you can eliminate my mayhem? You can try all you like to scorch me, but be warned..." Swan suddenly stepped in close, and her arm would swing around Nova's waist, grasping her and pulling the two flush together. Swan, despite clearly being the smaller woman, would lean in, stand on her toes, and try her best to radiate an aura of power, very nearly pressing her forehead to Nova's as she finished! "I will take you in the flow of chaos, drown you in the sea of mayhem, smother out your little light, and then it will be just you and me... all alone... in the dark. And then, sweet little knight... you'll be all mine."

Swan's last words were whispered with her lips nearly touching Nova's ear, before the masked woman would release her foe and step backwards, keeping her eyes on the larger wrestler all the while, devious smile never leaving her face as she backed up into her corner. Her movement sent out a clear message, and one that Nova would need to prepare for. Swan was ready to wrestle, and test the forces of chaos against an agent of light!

"Tch." Nova’s jaw tightened as Swan’s cackle rang out, the sound bouncing through the rafters like the anthem of a Saturday-morning villainess. Her expression was every inch the stoic mask. Stern, unflinching, a bastion of light against the tide of chaos, Black Swan supposedly held in such high regard. When the luchadora drew close, arms snaked around her waist, Nova peered down to meet her small rise to her tiptoes. The heroine’s mane of silky pink hair draped down around them both, a curtain hiding away this quiet, intimate moment between them.

And yet, as Swan stepped close, arm slipping boldly around her waist, drawing them flush together until foreheads nearly touched, Nova felt her breath catch.

She could feel the warmth of Swan’s breath on her face, feel the heat of her body pressed against her own. The smaller woman’s words dripped like silk into her ear, whispered in that low, possessive tone that stroked something deep inside her, a dangerous little ember she tried desperately to smother.

For a flicker of a moment, her pulse raced faster, and her throat worked in a quiet swallow. The thought of being dragged down, smothered in Swan’s chaos, claimed… it tickled at the edges of her discipline, a dangerous thrill that licked across her nerves like fire. She felt the presence of the other woman’s lips as the last words lingered, and she felt her breath catch.

But then Swan stepped away, her cheeky grin plastered on her face as she slithered back to her corner. The distance left Nova’s body oddly hollow, her skin tingling where their heat had pressed together…

The heroine straightened, rolling her shoulders back, planting her boots hard into the canvas. She thrust an arm toward Swan, voice booming out to bury her own unbidden reaction.

“You mistake me for someone who fears the dark. But shadows only exist when I allow them to.”
she bellowed, chest rising as she drew in a lungful of air. “You’ll have to survive the fight before you can dream of such spoils.”

The crowd roared, rallying behind her fiery words, but all her grand proclamations, the heroine’s pulse still beat with a traitorous rhythm, whispering the truth of what Swan’s words had sparked inside her: that some part of Nova Steele wanted to see if chaos really could swallow her whole.

Stepping in close, her arm swinging around Nova's waist with a practiced efficiency in order to draw the busty woman in close, Swan held her tight as she got nice and personal, not even an inch separating them as she whispered to her, promises of what she would do. Despite deciding to adopt a theatre-esque approach for this match, it seemed that not even the hammy role of a villain who was obsessed with chaos and disorder could stop Swan from adding a sexual tinge to her approach, an intimate air to things. Oddly enough though, as she was saying it, it didn't feel out of place. In truth, there was something chaotic about sex, especially the sort of intimacy that two might find in a wrestling match, born amidst physical conflict and pain, something that ended up being the complete opposite, soothing and fulfilling, and Swan could feel a bit of it now.

And looking into Nova's eyes, seeing the ever-so-slight moment of hesitation there, Swan could tell. She felt it too.

After letting her arm slowly return to her, trailing her fingers along Nova's back as she did so, the luchadora would begin stepping away, leaving Nova to try and gather her thoughts, the heavyweight managing to do so after a moment! She'd call after Swan as well as the pair of them would move to their respective corners, though the luchadora would offer no rebuttal other than a smile in Nova's direction, a teasing grin that spread quickly across her face. She'd let the hero get the last word in before the match started, as she planned to have the first word once it begun.

Sure enough, the bell would soon sound after the two women had been in their corners for a moment, and immediately, Swan would take several bold steps forwards, putting herself right back in the center of the ring. She'd swing an arm across her stomach, holding her body while her other hand came up to rest against her chin, striking a flamboyant pose, something right out of an anime!

"Fine then, agent of justice! Come at me, and let the tides of chaos overwhelm you!" Swan called, boldly inviting her opponent to meet her in the center of the ring, letting Nova approach her however she wished, as the supervillain luchadora gave no hints as to how she intended to act when Nova closed the gap!

The Heroine had moved back with measured steps towards her own corner after the luchadora had departed. Those crisp blue eyes remained locked on her the whole while. It had nothing to do with the sultry promises, or the sensation of her fingertips when they slid along her back, or the way she had so brazenly faced Nova down and hugged them together. The villainess’s grin burned in her mind, teasing, intimate, and for just a heartbeat it had shaken her, an ember of desire smoldering under her iron facade. Nova drew in a sharp pointed breath through her nose.

It was none of those things and almost certainly just because she was a shifty servant of chaos that needed to be observed at all times. She caught herself quickly, rolling her shoulders and drawing a deep breath, forcing her body tall and proud once more. The heroine of Justice would not falter, especially not before a vixen such as this. Chaos was a seductress all her own so it stood to reason those who served her would peddle their temptations upon someone as righteous as her.

The bell rang.

Nova found herself not immediately prepared, blinking, half caught in her head. The sound had echoed through the arena like a distant gunshot, and Nova stepped forward with purpose, her boots ringing heavy on the canvas as she strode to the center of the ring. The crowd swelled in anticipation, their heroine answering the villainess’s flamboyant challenge.

“You called down Justice's wraith, and now you will feel its weight!” Nova's voice carried loudly into a sea of erupting cheers.

Her hands came up, and with a surge she lunged into the classic hero’s opening, collar-and-elbow tie-up. Her powerful arms attempting to lock with Swan’s, ground the avian before she could take flight. Nova’s intent was clear: no trickery, no hesitation. She would meet chaos head-on and try to crush it under sheer force.

With Swan having taken up a position in the center of the ring, the masked wrestler would state her challenge loud and clear, putting the pressure on Nova to be the one to approach, letting her foe take all the time that she wanted to decide how best to confront her. In the end, Nova seemed to adopt a simple plan, moving her hands into the position that one would use for a classic lockup, edging closer and closer to the masked woman before she would eventually lunge forwards, all to grab hold of the masked wrestler. It was what most wrestlers would do, of course, and a rigid agent of justice was no different it seemed. Of course, Swan was harnessing the power of chaos here, and so a typical lock up? Definitely not in the cards.

When Nova moved forwards, Swan put her arms up, as if getting ready to meet her, but at the last second, her whole body would drop, the luchadora shooting downwards and darting out to the side! Slipping underneath Nova's arms, the masked woman would circle around the heroine of justice, and in an act that caught quite a few off guard, Nova being one of them, would swing her foot out and give her opponent a literal kick in the ass!

"Too slow, too slow! Is justice usually this sluggish?!" Swan cackled, before dancing backwards again, body moving smoothly and fluidly all the way as she backpedaled to the corner, taking a position on the edge of the ring, something most wrestlers would usually avoid! It was clear that she had no real intention of locking up with the bigger woman, and while some might opt to start things off by beginning their offense, it seemed that Swan wasn't doing that either! It was starting to become clear that the luchadora, now fully in character, wasn't planning on doing anything by the book this match!

"Come on, hero! Step it up a notch! Don't tell me that you're being held down by that weight!" Swan smirked, before stretching her hand out towards Nova, and bending her finger, beckoning the woman towards her! Swan was drawing Nova over to the corner, it just remained to be seen if Nova was willing to play ball!

Re: Playing A (Super)Villain - Black Swan vs Nova Steele

Unread post by Parker »

The last two steps became a heavy lunge, Nova throwing her weight forward to close the distance. Her arms snapped shut like a bear trap, aiming to swallow Black Swan whole. But the villainess was quicker—slipping low beneath the sweep of muscle, darting out of reach in a blur of movement that left only the faintest flash in the corner of Nova’s eye.

Thup!

The next sensation was a sharp crack against her backside, Swan’s boot smacking firmly into the heroine’s toned cheek. The strike jolted Nova forward, stumbling two steps further before she planted her heels, muscles quivering as she stopped herself. The crowd erupted, a ripple of laughter weaving through the roar at Swan’s brazen antics.

For a heartbeat, Nova froze, not in shock, but in that stillness before a storm. Her shoulders rolled back, her jaw tightened, and when she turned, her blue eyes burned like twin suns, fixed unflinchingly on the masked trickster. A slow flip of pink hair over one shoulder and a sharp exhale through her nose. For all her stern posturing, there was a hint of amusement to be found in that icy glare.

"So this is your game then?" The heroine cocked her head slightly, arching a brow at the masked woman as she pranced away, cackling like a wicked witch. Nova took a step forward, slow and deliberate as if to play into her villainess' claims.

"Patient, winged one. Justice is patient. It may not always travel on swift winds, but when it does..." Nova lifted a finger and pointed directly at Swan, “…it will be your end.”

With the words laid down like a vow, Nova advanced again, each step filled with purpose, her body coiled with discipline. She didn’t charge recklessly this time, it was a steady walk that found her dipping slightly as she neared, her final few steps a mere shuffle to close in. With a sudden burst, she pushed forward, but stopped abruptly. A feint! An empty lunge, intended to bait the chaos-bringer into action.

Her hands hovered, ready. She wasn’t aiming for Swan’s current position, but for her inevitable escape. If the masked villain tried to dart upward onto the turnbuckles, as Nova suspected, she’d be waiting, arms poised to catch hold of her mid-flight and wrench her back down into the heroine’s grasp.
