Ringside City Showdown: Hellcat & Tempest VS. Bengal

Post by BengalTheBlazeTiger »

Match Type: 2v1 Super Showdown. A city-wide street fight. All contestants have superhuman powers, based on their personas in the mainline LAW Universe!

Location: Ringside City. A bustling metropolis where professional wrestling is the main industry. For unknown reasons, this particular city is filled with many individuals who exhibit strange powers. Some of them work to keep the peace, while others are only out for themselves. All of them look strikingly similar to the popular celebrity wrestlers who frequent the local arenas. Hey, wait a minute...
Ringside City

In this All-New Issue! Hellcat and Tempest are both newer heroes in Ringside City, out to prove themselves. Thrust together by fate, they must combine their powers to face the fiery fury of...
BENGAL, THE BLAZE TIGER!

The first thing that tipped off the security guards that something was wrong was the acrid smell of burning metal. Dashing to the vault, alarms blaring, they spied two of their coworkers already knocked unconscious. A few yards away from them, a dark-haired woman stood in front of the vault door. She was projecting a glowing orange claw from her pointer finger, using the superheated energy to cut through the galvanized steel lock. Sparks hissed and danced around her, but they seemed to bounce off her oddly resilient skin.

The guards drew their weapons with shaking hands, immediately recognizing the woman as one of the "supers" they'd been warned about during their training. Not even bothering to turn around, the figure threw her free arm back dismissively, sending out a blast of searing air from the back of her hand. WHOOOSH! The security members flew into the air as one, screaming in panic, guns dropping from scalded fingers. They skittered across the marble floor and fled in all directions, many of them with empty spots on their foreheads where their eyebrows had been singed off. Whatever they were being paid, it wasn't enough for this.

"That's more like it," the super-thief purred, restoring her full attention to her work. After a few more moments of focused cutting, the lock fell from the metal facade. The woman easily threw open the two-ton door with a single motion of her muscular arms. She stalked forward into the vault, cat ears twitching, as if they'd already detected the valuables inside.

The walls of the narrow room were lined with drawers full of cash, but that wasn't what the intruder was looking for. Her target was smaller - and far more valuable. Best of all, thanks to her contact, she already knew exactly where it was. The woman picked up a metal case from a table in the center of the room, quickly tearing it open with her claws. She nimbly caught the object inside before it could fall to the floor, lifting it up to the light. A perfectly-cut, pear-shaped orange diamond. Fifteen carats in weight, easily worth more than thirty million dollars.

Smirking, she tucked the glittering stone into a pocket of her orange-and-black trunks, before striding out of the vault. None of the staff made to stop her exit; they were all too busy cowering under their desks. That gave her time to cause a little extra damage. The woman began slashing at the nearest wall, her hands becoming a blur of motion. Her claws left behind a patchwork of fiery lines, spelling out her own name - or at least, the moniker she'd chosen to call herself.

"There," she remarked, stepping back to admire her own work with satisfaction. "Now you all know who stole from you. Let's see you try and do anything about it!" She spun on her heel and danced through the revolving doors, leaving behind only an echo of mocking laughter. But her laugh died as soon as she surveyed the street outside, and saw the other woman closing in on her.

"Oh God," she hissed, rolling her amber eyes, her mirth quickly turning to exasperation. "Not this self-righteous twit again..." She clutched at her trunks, making sure the diamond was firmly secured in her pocket, while the masked figure approached.

They say that when trouble arrises there is always a spark of light that will shine even when the world doesnt want it too, that is the spark of justice that this mask figure carries with her, Bengal might seem like an imposible wall and a super dangerous threat to the normal guard`s and police but that is why people like our mask friend are here.

Walking down the street a masked figure approach, wearing a set of black pants and boots with fire motives and red lines all over and wearing a grey vest with black lines that resemble that of a tiger but what was more distintive about this figure was her bright red and black tiger mask that cover a set of light brown eyes and let a set of firely red hair flow, this was the hero of our story the daughter of inferna and masked Luchador Hero

HELLCAT
Spoiler
Image
Looking at the blaze tiger with a smirk on her face, she would look to put her arm to the side of her hip and point at the villain with the other hand

"Bengal... looks like we meet again but this time your reign of terror ends tonight BECAUSE I AM HERE"

The masked hero exclaim with excitment in her voice, cleary ready to trow down with the supervillain if need be but for now the two would be at a staredown, both not moving from their position but clearly waiting for the other to make a move, Hellcat would see that Bengal had put something in her pocket before she arrived and it didnt take long for her to assume it was most likely a valubale item from the bank which needed to be recover.

"I suggest you surrender while you still can otherwise you are getting a firts class ticket to paintown so hand over whatever you stole and ill take you to prison quickly"

Hellcat knew that this strategy wouldnt work, after all Bengal wasnt a woman who would simply give up but what Hellcat was actually doing was buying the guards at the bank some time to escape and leave the area, While Its true that Hellcat like Bengal has a power she rather not use it at the moment due to how dangerous it could be for the people near by if she lost control, she needed to play her cards right if she wanted to get Whatever Bengal stole back to its rightfull owner and place this kitty in its cage, so for now she would have to play it safe and let Bengal come to her cause this look to be a long night for the masked hero.

Silhouetted under the streetlamps, Hellcat cut an impressive figure in her red mask and dark leather boots. But the way the luchadora was buying time for the bank staff to evacuate was even more admirable. Bengal wasn't impressed by her bravado, unfortunately. "A ticket to paintown?" she scoffed, arching one thin eyebrow. "Last I recall, that's where you were residing, Hell-BRAT. Or did you forget your experience as my own personal scratching post?" She cocked her head to one side, feigning curiosity. "Must have been all those hits to the head..."

In reality, Bengal's last fight with Hellcat hadn't been nearly as one-sided as the Tiger was making it sound. The famous daughter of Inferna had pushed her to the absolute limit, forcing Bengal to use underhanded tactics to incapacitate her younger foe. Even then, she'd only managed to escape with a portion of the loot, leading to reduced pay. What job had that been, again? Ah yes, the Tiger remembered now: the missile guidance chips. It was easy to forget exactly what you were stealing, when you worked for the highest bidder. Super-thievery was Bengal's business, and despite that one recent setback, business was good.

And yet, something about Hellcat's obnoxious, strait-laced attitude still set the Tiger's teeth on edge. She resolved to make an example of the luchadora, so no one else would make a habit of interfering with her heists. "I'll make sure that this time, you remember me!" she snarled, flicking out her hand with an imperious gesture. A fireball burst forth - but it wasn't directed at the masked woman. Instead, Bengal aimed for the hydrant on the side of the curb. Her attack reduced the metal cylinder to charred slag, and turned the water inside into a cloud of vapor, shrouding the street with thick fog.

With her motions hidden from view, the Tiger used her enhanced speed to move around her opponent, gliding through the mist like a striped phantom. If she remained undetected, she'd leap on Hellcat from behind, shredding the luchadora's protective vest with superheated swipes! Bengal waited to engage her power until the moment she was ready to pounce, not wanting the molten glow of her claws to give her away as she stalked toward her quarry. It was time to teach this naive girl what a "reign of terror" really meant.

At first, the only sign that something had changed was the feeling - the subtle undercurrent of energy boiling in the air, the metallic taste in the mouth. Then, a faint crackle, a whisper of static that hummed against brick and steel. Somewhere in the haze, Bengal's orange glow flickered.

A blinding flash tore through the fog, a jagged fork of lightning arcing between two lampposts with a thunderous CRACK. The blast blew a corridor clean through the vapor, and in its wake, Tempest strode forward. Her hood was slowly drawn back, revealing the jet black hair tied neatly into a bun and the glowing blue eyes that pierced the night. Each of her footsteps was followed by a sizzling and crackling sound, her boots leaving scorched outlines along the pavement where she walked. Known to be a heroine of few words, her voice remained low and even.

"You've burned enough for one night."
Callista AKA Tempest
Image
The streetlamp above her head flickered and dimmed, as Tempest reached back and summoned the last bit of energy back into her arms that had reached a light blue glow, humming with energy as tiny wisps of electricity zapped from her finger tips to her forearms. With no more than a sidelong glance to Hellcat, Tempest tilted her chin toward Bengal.

“Let’s put this blaze out.”

Tempest than cocked an arm back and surged forward, torpedoing a lance of energy right at the feet of Bengal. It wouldn't have been enough to hurt her or hit her, but it was enough to send a message that this fight was no longer going to be a one-on-one.

Hellcat`s attempt at Intimidation didnt work, she was a never an insults type of girl and it showed as Bengal simply began to mock Hellcat by reminding her of the last time the two of them fought, Hellcat remembers that day oh so very well, when right when Hellcat was about to defeat Bengal the blaze a civilian had entered the battle zone, Bengal taking the chance to see this and trowing an attack at them Knwing that Hellcat being the goody two shoes she is would`t let the person get hurt and so she jumped in between them and took all the might of Bengal unslaught which ended of a nasty blow to the head that made Hellcat pass out. She clutch her fist as she thought of that moment but would take a deep breathe and look up as she remember that she saved everyone that day, even if some of the data had been stolen by Bengal the people there were all good and fine but this time things will be different.

Raising her fist Up Hellcat would be ready for the inevitable combat and her eyes would Meet with Bengal`s who to start off things strong would trow a fireball, Hellcat raising her guard up to block it but thats when she realise that Bengal wasnt aiming at her but the fire hydrant on the street, the hydrant exploding into pieces and bagan to let out a cloud of steam no dought the water that was inside Vaporise by Bengal fire ball, the Fog would compleatly surrond Hellcat who still had her fist up and would try to hear any sign of Bengal, but the Luchadora would heard nothing, she should have Know this Bengal was always a sneeaky woman but still she cant let her get the better of her this time.

unbeknownst to Hellcat, Bengal was standing right behind her preparing to pounc onto the Masked girl for what would have been a nasty strike, Luckily for Hellcat a mysterious third party would get involve in the fight as a ligthing would struck trought the fog and like the wind, clear it all up leaving Hellcat to turn around and see Bengal behind her but it looked like she wasnt looking at her, the luchadora would then turn to see what the blaze tiger was looking and thats when she saw the blue eye woman who seemed to eminate and aura of both respect and literal ligthing.

Hellcat Would look at this woman and be bafelded as to who she was, she didnt know her or her intentions and for all she knew she could be an ally of Bengal that looked to tag team her alongside Bengal to steal from the bank but the quick attack by the woman to Bengal shortly kill that theory, Hellcat backing away a few steps and looking at the woman a confuse look still in her eyes as she simply yell

"Hey i dont know who you are but you dont seem like you work with Bengal so who are you?"

Hellcat cut straight to the point, she didnt know this woman and even tho she didnt seem to be in Bengal`s side that didnt mean she was on her side either as for all The luchadora Knew this ligthing girl could be just another villain looking to beat both Bengal and Hellcat and quickly make her way out with whatever loot Bengal had, she needed to be carefull. Scouting the area she notice that it look like they were many people on the street now, Hellcat let a sigh of relief Knowing that Civilians casulties wont happen like last time.

Re: Ringside City Showdown: Hellcat & Tempest VS. Bengal

Post by BengalTheBlazeTiger »

Bengal emerged from the fog like a monster in a classic horror movie, collaring Hellcat's neck with one arm. The energy claws on her other hand flared to life with an ominous hum, reaching for the masked hero's chest. Hellcat managed to grab the Tiger's wrist in midair, and the two struggled mightily. They smashed into parked cars as they thrashed and twisted, crumpling the metal doors like tinfoil wrappers, throwing up clouds of shattered glass. The luchadora was putting up a valiant fight, yet still, Bengal's incandescent claws inched closer and closer to her heaving breasts. "Tired already, Hellcat?" Bengal panted into the trapped fighter's ear. "I guess you still can't take the heat..."

At that moment, a tingle of static electricity passed through the air, making the tufts of hair on Bengal's ears stand straight up. Following her hunter's instincts, she was already turning to face the new threat when a blinding flash of lightning illuminated the surrounding area. Night momentarily turned into day, and Bengal staggered back, squinting against the glare. At the same time, gusts of ionized wind howled down the street, sweeping away the dense fog like cobwebs under a broom. The Tiger pursed her lips in disappointment as the outlines of the buildings re-emerged. So much for her escape plan.

She couldn't worry about that right now, though. She had more immediate concerns - like the mysterious woman the lightning had left in its wake. The raven-haired figure flexed her lithe arms, and the streetlamps behind her flickered and buzzed like angry fireflies. That probably wasn't a coincidence, Bengal thought to herself. Unlike Hellcat, this woman wasn't wearing a mask, though Bengal still didn't recognize her face. The newcomer was clad in simple, black tactical gear, accented by bolt-shaped earrings and luminous blue gloves. No, not gloves, the Tiger realized - or at least, not gloves you could buy in any store. She was channeling electricity through her forearms to create energy gauntlets, in a similar manner to how Bengal formed her claws. Copycat, the Tiger thought bitterly to herself. Suddenly, the figure raised an arm, pointing right toward her!

Bengal released Hellcat and jumped back, hissing, as a bolt of azure energy shot through the air. It arced unpredictably, then drilled into the street, leaving behind a deep crater filled with coiling blue smoke. In retrospect, the Tiger realized, it hadn't been aimed directly at her; it seemed to be more of a warning shot then anything else. She tried to make it look like she'd known that all along, brushing herself off as she straightened to face the unknown challenger.

"Oh, look," she remarked, pointing performatively between the luchadora and the new arrival. "Hellbrat needs a nanny to fight her battles for her. How...shocking." She chuckled at her own bad pun, showing her ivory teeth. "You picked the wrong job to start your hero career with, sparky. Your first night on patrol is about to become your last!" She shifted into a fighting stance, as the air around her palms began to shimmer with heat. "Speaking of jobs - in my line of work, we don't get paid any overtime. So I'd rather take you both on at once!"

Bengal and Hellcat since to be neck to neck in their fight, tho it is the tiger that would come out on top and grab Hellcat by the back of her neck and beggan to taunt her as she prepare her to strike at her but Hellcat would be saved by the mysterious Lighting woman, Bengal letting go of the luchadora and seeting her eyes onto The storm that was approaching.

Hellcat would slowly get herself up, touching the back of her neck and coughing a little bit but for the most part she could tell that she was fine, which matter more was that Bengal had taken her eyes off the ball that was their fight to start talking to the blue eyed woman, Hellcat notcing that this could be a great chance to strike, Hellcat was never one for sneak attack and would rather have this be face to face but Bengal is a dangerous individual and so she didnt get the privilage of Honor from the luchadora, she was only getting a painfull reminded that crime doesnt pay.

Quickly rushing towards Bengal before she could even react, Hellcat would grab onto the shoulders of bengal and withouth saying a word would jump up, using Bengal shoulder as a base Hellcat would lift herself up in a upright position, looking down at Bengal the luchadora would then like a pendulum come crashing down and dig her knees right into the back of Bengal`s legs in a painfull looking manuver Hellcat look to incapasitate the tiger.

Once Hellcat landed the move she would look to stand up and look down at Bengal, thinking how this should keep her in place for a while and long enough for Hellcat to figure out what this ligthing girl wanted, going up to the blue eyes woman, Hellcat would stare into her eyes with an aura of justice and trying to intimidate the woman into revealing her intentions.

"Ok miss thunderbolt who are you? and what are your intentions right now, if you are trying to run away with whatever Bengal stole you are making the dumbest decision of you life cause you will have to deal with me so i suggest you make what you want clear so we can get this over with"

Hellcat said in a serious tone, she wasnt much of playing the intimadation game but she knew that the situation right now required a firm hand and she needed to figure out if she would have to take down the blue eyed woman as well, waiting for her response Hellcat would look Back at Bengal to make sure she was still down before looking back at miss sparks and continuing her interogation

Re: Ringside City Showdown: Hellcat & Tempest VS. Bengal

Tempest took a few moments to survey the battle. Clearly there was some bad blood between the thief and the devilish hero. There was no shortage of cat characteristics, that was for sure. Still, Tempest remained resolute as always, channeling the storm within as her forearms continued to glow with a bright light blue light, small bolts etching their way across her skin and cheeks. Tempest cracks her neck and fists as she takes a fighting stance. For a first night on patrol, it was already turning out way more eventful than Tempest had anticipated. She turned her attention first to Hellcat, her glowing blue eyes meeting the fellow heroine's gaze.

"Relax, Hellcat. I'm here to help. I'll give you points for spirit though." Tempest playfully teased with a wink, flashing the slightest hint of a smirk along side it. She turned her attention back to the more serious issue at hand, determined to ensure her already entertaining night on the two didn't spiral into a massive headache.

"Look...Bengal...I'd highly advise you put that jewel back where you found it and we can do this the easy way...' as Tempest trailed off, she formed a tiny arc ball in her hands and began juggling it back and forth and tossing it over her head like a baseball before catching it in one hand and clenching, charging her powered gauntlets with energy and giving them an even brighter glow. "...or we can do this the hard way." Almost as if on cue, Tempest's hair started to raise as the energy in the air became palpable. The fire between the two rivals was bright, but the undercurrent being generated by the malevolent maelstrom incarnate was surely going to spark an even bigger fire.

Tempest looked back to Hellcat for help, her expression still stone faced as usual but underneath it, there was a hidden allure to it, almost like an invitation for her to jump in. Her magnetic pull was powerful, a force able to manipulate physical matter and the people around her. "What do you say, friend? Want to help me bag another bad guy and call it a night, or do you want me to do all the heavy lifting after saving you?"

Without even waiting for a response, Tempest crouched down and could be seen powering her legs now all of a sudden. As if plucking and storing every free electron out of the air and into her boots, blue lines slowly stretched and danced across her pants as she internally initialized her first strike. Once she reached maximum charge, she took off charging like a rolling storm straight for Bengal. Each stomp boomed with a thunderous roar, hitting a crescendo all the way towards the punctuating note when Tempest extending her arm and sidestepped Bengal, initiating a static charged clothesline to set the tone early. This was just a taste of the rising storm.

Re: Ringside City Showdown: Hellcat & Tempest VS. Bengal

Bengal had gotten too distracted, wondering about the identity of the new hero, and forgetting about her other opponent. It was like people always said: curiosity killed the cat. In this case, Hellcat's surprise attack hadn't actually killed her fellow feline, of course; the kindhearted luchadora would never go to such drastic measures, even against a criminal as notorious as Bengal. Still, she put plenty of force into the technique, flipping elegantly over the Tiger's head, then bouncing Bengal's back off her own knees. The Indian woman gasped and rolled away, clutching her racked spine. As she turned over on the asphalt, she could feel the diamond in her pocket digging into her hip, reminding her of what was at stake.

Luckily for the Tiger, the two heroes didn't immediately move to follow up. There was clearly some tension between them, as palpable as the electricity in the air. Hellcat seemed to think that "Miss Thunderbolt" was here to steal the same thing as Bengal, while the newcomer came off as condescending and arrogant. Face-down on the pavement, unseen by anyone, a bitter smile crept across the Tiger's face. They were all the same, these heroes. All so in love with the sound of their own voices. That was one of the reasons she preferred to work alone.

The black-clad woman was saying something else while Bengal rose to her feet, but the Tiger wasn't listening. She wasn't intimidated by this woman's words, or the heavy reverberations as she charged forward, leaving smoldering blue footsteps in the street. Well, maybe a little intimidated. But that was what she had her claws for, after all. The incandescent blades flicked out, eager as an assassin's daggers, as she swung her arm in an orange blur -

Only to miss her target completely, as Tempest nimbly sidestepped her attack. Surrounded with a crackling nimbus of energy, the other woman's arm thrust up and caught Bengal across the throat. The static-charged clothesline sent the Tiger pinwheeling away, blue sparks of corona discharge flickering across her hair and clothing. She smashed into an armored truck parked at the end of the street, punching right through the side like an electrified bullet. Despite the destruction of their property, a cheer went up from the bank employees, and the police that were still helping them evacuate joined in.

Their happy shouts quickly turned to terrified screams, however, when the truck caught on fire. Bengal stepped out of the smoking hole in the side of the vehicle, her eyes narrowed to dangerous slits. The front of her outfit was torn, and her hair was still standing on end from the static. But otherwise, she appeared relatively unscathed. The bystanders' celebration had obviously been premature.

"I like the hard way," Bengal exclaimed, raising her voice to make sure everyone could hear her. "It's quicker!" With that, she backflipped over the truck and drove her foot into its chassis, sending the flaming vehicle rocketing toward the heroes! The ruined heap of metal turned end over end, throwing off gouts of fire and jagged pieces of shrapnel. It was still several yards away, giving Hellcat and Tempest more than enough time to avoid it with their enhanced speed. But if they did that, the civilians and police behind them would be at even greater risk...

Re: Ringside City Showdown: Hellcat & Tempest VS. Bengal

Hellcat would continue to question Tempest, wanting to get to the bottom of her intentions but the ligthing girl would assure that she was here to help and even give Hellcat a little wink which made the luchadora blush siglty out of embaresment when she realise she was putting a thought girl persona for nothing, hearing Bengal starting to stand up, Hellcat would turn around and get into a battle stance ready to put down Bengal again if she needed to but it looked like tempest wanted to get a piece of the action as she not only threathen Bengal but landed a nasty clothesline onto her making Bengal fly over and crash onto a armor truck.

Hellcat being impress by the power of the electrifien ally as they turn around to face her and asked if she was gonna jump on the action, Hellcat being left in silence for a few seconds but after that she would nod at tempest

"Alright lets get this kitty on its cage"
Hellcat said with an excited but firm tone, she realise that tempest was an ally and that they both had a common enemy and that was Bengal who by the site of the armor truck burning bright with flames looks like she was up, Hellcat looked as the villain came out of the truck ready for more and seconds later would grab onto the flamming armor truck and trow it in the direction of the heroes. Hellcat was ready to dodge out of the way but thats when she turn around and realise that if she moved out of the way the way police and bank employess would get hit instead, Bengal was always one to exploit Hellcat desire to save people and this time would be no different, Hellcat would stand her ground and plant her feet onto the ground as place her arms in front of her ready to catch the truck.

Hellcat knew however that her base streanght would be enough to catch the truck she would need a little boost and thats when as the flaming truck approach their postion Hellcat would take a deep breathe, tap onto the center of her mask and let out a power filled scream.

An aura of fire shining around her as Orange flame tiger like stripes began to appear on Hellcat`s body and her eyes would be engolve by fire, this was Hellcat power the ability to be able trought her mask, unless her true potencial giving her a much needed boost in situations, Hellcat would then catch onto the truck, the force pushing Hellcat a few steps back as pieces of debree flew from all over the ground and Hellcat came ever so close to the civilains with the guards preparing themself for the impact.

However that impact would never come, the guard seeing Hellcat holding the truck and breathing heavily as she manage to put an end to the Truck motion, Hellcat turned around and told the guards to "get everyone out of here" The guards nodding at the request and attempting to evacuate faster, As for Hellcat she would walk a few steps fowards while carrying the burning truck over her head and look at Bengal with a serious look Hellcat jokinly said "Hey bengal you drop this" And as she finished the sentence Hellcat trew the burning truck back at bengal and began to run behind it.

Hellcat had a plan, she knew that Bengal would use her claw attack to most likely cut the truck into pieces to avoid getting hit but the truck most likely cover Hellcat and so When Bengal decided to cut the truck she would get a surprise as Hellcat would appear and look to land a nasty blow to Bengal`s gut.

(if succesfull)
Bengal would feel an inmense heat eminating from her gut, this was a secondary effect of Hellcat Champion mode, her body was increasing in temperature with every second and so Hellcat would follow up the hit to the gut with an uppercut to Bengal chin, the luchadora moving at insane speed due to her boost looking to outspeed the tiger
