Endurance for the Newbies: Claire Thompson vs. Yume Minami [d]

Victory Conditions: Falls can be achieved by pin, submission, or knockout. Victory given to the fighter that is first to reach 4 falls.

Another fight had fallen at Claire's feet and she jumped at the chance without much thought. She was going to be facing a new fighter in her debut since coming onto the roster. While that was certainly better for Claire than facing a veteran, the duration of this match was what caught Claire's attention. A best of 7 match meant the blonde could make use of all that endurance training she'd endured during her days of volleyball! She may have been lacking in several areas, but her conditioning was certainly nothing to scoff at!

Claire popped out onto the ramp and began jogging her way down to the ring to another distinctly average reception from the crowd. Given she was still mostly unknown and had yet to make much of a splash she didn't expect much different. She was hoping a match like this, even between newbies, would give her a little extra bump making crowd take a little extra notice of her. Claire though was confident that a match like this played into the few wrestling strengths that she actually possessed!

Moving to the opposite corner and planting her back against the turnbuckle, Claire waited anxiously for her opponent to appear. She knew next to nothing about Yume, but a newbie signing up for an endurance type match like this certainly had her respect at the very least!

Finally was her time and against all the predictions it didn't seem like a rigged match to humiliate the newbie, a really common practice in this type of places in the industry, even with all of this a BO7 match could be a really hard match, just what Yume wanted.

After looking at herself one last time without saying a word the rookie heard it was her time, she wanted one of this, a long match to in the worst case scenario endure even more damage she'll learn nothing being squashed in 20 seconds so if someone will destroy her it will be 4 times. That's why she was looking like crazy for a match like this.

She was surprised when the crowd reacted even more with her than with her opponent a girl the crowd should know from past matches, but it was nothing to be proud of, the crowd probably was thinking she'll be an easy pray and Yume will not allow it.

After some time to arrive Yume slide her body between the ropes and look at the blonde in front of her, once again without saying a word, just waiting in her corner ready for the fight in fighting position.

"She's cute!" Claire mumbled to herself watching Yume make her way toward the ring. She was certainly an unassuming woman. Most people would likely not take her for being a wrestler, but to a degree the same could be said about Claire.

Claire began to make her way to the center of the ring to greet her opponent, but Yume took one look at her and backed away. A slightly surprised look came across Claire's face as Yume readied herself for the fight. Perhaps some nerves had taken hold and Yume wanted the match to begin sooner rather than later. Regardless, Claire would back herself up once more and rolled her shoulders a few times before the ref asked if she was ready.

"Good luck Yume!" Claire would shout across the ring right as the ref gave the signaled and the bell sounded. Claire was still very much a rookie herself, but she at least had the slight edge in experience. She'd simply approach the middle of the ring hoping to lock up with Yume, but uncertain how the newbie would react to her first bell!

"Maybe it was to cold??"

That was Yume first thought after noticing the failed attempt of her opponent to greet her in the middle of the ring maybe it wasn't the correct choice but it was hers, she wasn't sure in how to interact with anyone, and the plus of her debut was more than enough to avoid any contact with the woman in front of her. But even with all of this... Maybe it was a bit mean "Ding!!"

"...!"

The bell sound finally awake the brunette of her own thoughts, with that Claire voice sounded clear in her mind, she wanted to ignore it once again but doing it two times in a row maybe could anger her opponent just before the match, so with a really awkward and artificial smile Yume whispered a "...Thank you, same!!..."

After that finally appeared the first thing Claire did Yume couldn't ignore, waiting for her in the middle of the ring waiting to lock up, she will answer with the same and for the first time she took a look of her opponent's body, it really was a gorgeous blonde showing to the world her beautiful body, maybe this match will be a hard one...

Getting her hands on Yume for the first time, Claire could tell at the very least she wasn't a push over for strength. The two would hold the lock for a time as they felt each other out, but Claire was anxious to the get the match moving in her favor! She hadn't found a lot of action since her debut, and was keen to get a move on with her new found passion!

Claire would look to use the momentum Yume was pushing forward with against her. As Yume pushed against the blonde, Claire would try to side step slightly and break the lock while slipping behind Yume. If she could manage to gain the position advantage and wrap her arms around the woman's waist, Claire would try and haul backward to send Yume crashing to the mat with a suplex!

Was this strength enough??? Maybe the blonde in front of her was holding back?? What if Claire just outclassed her since the start and she wasn't able to land a single hit???

All of this type of thoughts were flying in Yume's mind every second during the first collision, unfortunately for the brunette all of this thoughts were her condemn for the first steps of the match, since she was thinking on how to prepare this first move Claire idea was totally different quickly changing the move to hug Yume by the waist and threw the rookie against the mat with a suplex.

"GGGHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!!

It was a clean hit, one really hard to endure for a rookie, even If he blonde let Yume in the place of the impact the brunette legs will be in the same position pathetically staying over her head just waiting for the next move without any way to defend herself.

Claire shot back to her feet and spun around to catch Yume sitting with her ass in the air, almost unable to move from the impact! Claire rushed forward unable to pass up the opportunity presented to her. However, to even the most inexperienced onlooker of the fight, this was one of the dumbest things Claire could have committed to!

The blonde, instead of capitalizing on her chance, dove onto Yume and pressed her shoulders into the ground going for a pin attempt! One move connected with the match less than five minutes old and Claire committed to the pin. Whether it was a rush of stupidity or simply Claire eager to get her first actual pin in the organization, nobody could be sure. However, as she pressed Yume down all she could do was push forward.

"ONE!"

Every second was a battle against the consciousness for Yume still laying on the mat in a pathetic position, her body wasn't answering to her commands and the rookies first trial started really bad. The brunette wasn't KO or anything like that but the damage plus how scared and nervous she was made this situation a really hard one.

A even more hard situation when Yume felt something, being more clear someone on her taking advantage of how convenient was the rookie's position if this was what she thought it could be a problem. Her fears were confirmed when she listened the referee.

"ONE!!"

It was a pin account, with just one move!! If the pin end up being successful it will be HELL for Yume, laughs, memes... She couldn't allow it but her body wasn't answering.

"TWO!!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"
It will be like this??? With no other option than do one last try the brunette screamed in the last second kicking out avoiding an awkward and unforgettable start.

Claire's moves were always on the basic side, but with a simple suplex this early she had already managed a two count. At the very least, that was encouraging. After Yume had kicked out, Claire scrambled to get back into the action. Quick moves in quick succession were Claire's vision to pull herself through. Moving back toward Yume, Claire would grab the woman to pull her back up to her feet.

If Claire could get her back to her feet, she'd grab Yume's arm and use it to slingshot the girl across the ring into the ropes on the opposing side. Claire would then follow her opponent and once Yume hit the ropes for the rebound, Claire would look to smash her forearm into Yume's face!

She dodged the three count but even with that it scared Yume a lot, it was so close... Just one more second and her first defeat (even if it was just a fall will be achieved with a single move of another rookie) With no time to think about it the blonde quickly put her on her feet grabbing Yume by the hair.

The brunette was scared about another quick punish but instead of that Claire threw her against the ropes, Yume needed to do something and it was just the perfect situation, after bouncing in the ropes Yume dodged what Claire had in mind with a really quick head movement, if the blonde did the move with perfection it was impossible to dodge but thankfully for Yume both were rookies. Taking advantage of the speed she bounced in the ropes again and now she aimed for Claire's belly with a spear, if the move connected Yume will try to keep the pressure taking advantage of her opponent being in the floor jumping on her face with a leg drop.
