Panther's Pride: Bengal VS. Patricia Lincoln

Bengal could handle claws, all right. But she preferred handling them herself, using them against her opponent, rather than the other way around. As Patricia rushed her again, she saw a chance to do exactly that. She allowed the rival catgirl to hoist her up, heedless of any damage she might take when she came crashing to the mat. With the other woman's arms occupied, the Tiger snaked one hand free, then slashed her opponent across the face! Her nails raked down savagely, starting at Patricia's forehead and moving all the way to her chin. At the same time, she made sure to bend her own body over, shrouding the scene with a curtain of hair so the referee couldn't see her maneuver. All of a sudden, Bengal seemed to have forgotten all her previous hang-ups about cheating.

Almost anyone else would have dropped their opponent in a situation like that. But the Panther was a different breed. She kept lifting, as if she hadn't even felt the claws, then tossed the Tiger into a belly-to-belly suplex! Bengal landed hard in the center of the ring and skidded across the canvas, clutching her back. Questions flooded through her mind. What had gone wrong? Had her predatory instincts been off the mark? She could have sworn that she'd scored a crippling blow, but the Carolina girl's strength was obviously undiminished.

Bengal attempted to stand, praying that her foe was just running on a temporary surge of adrenaline. The pain from all those scratches was certain to catch up with her eventually...wasn't it? Or was the pain already there, and the Panther simply had the iron will to endure it without flinching? She didn't want to think about that last possibility. The prospect of fighting anyone with a mentality like that was terrifying, even if the Tiger would never admit that out loud.

Patricia managed to lift up Bengal off her feet before the tiger raked her hand over Patricia’s face! A normal opponent would have dropped her right then and there to stop the awful pain but when you regularly spar with a cheater like Zoey Johnson you kinda have to build up a resistance to dirty tricks and Patricia had. Gritting her teeth she completed the suplex despite Bengal’s best attempts to sabotage it. As both fighters got up Patricia saw the doubt and fear in Bengal’s eyes and decided to take advantage of it. She would burst towards Bengal again this time preparing to deliver a dropkick straight to Bengal’s face.

Bengal saw the dropkick coming, but she misjudged Patricia's aim. Instead of protecting her face, she moved to guard her chest instead. The consequences were as swift as they were devastating. Her head snapped back, and she could taste blood in her mouth, even before she took a nasty bump on the turnbuckle behind her. She slid down to the canvas, her neck aching, her limbs twitching like she had just touched a live wire.

At that moment, the Tiger badly wished she had her opponent's inhuman pain resistance. She had always preferred to evade blows rather than endure them, but that strategy didn't always pan out. For example, her new position slumped in the corner left her with few options to dodge any of the Panther's follow-up attacks. All she could manage was a last-ditch kick at her foe's stomach, as the American drew closer. Bengal was hoping to knock the wind out of Patricia, ironically giving herself more breathing room. If it didn't work, however, she would likely be the one left gasping for air.

Although Bengal had seen the dropkick she had mistaken Patricia’s target as her midsection instead of her head. This resulted in Bengal eating the full force of Patricia’s dropkick and crashing into the turnbuckle. Patricia smirked as Bengal slid down to the mat looking absolutely winded. Patricia approached Bengal ready to deliver the finishing blow…until Bengal’s desperation kick struck her in the stomach. Patricia let out a groan of pain as she clenched her stomach and backing away a bit before staring at Bengal with fury as she continued her advance planning to stomp a hole into Bengal.

Bengal's kick connected, but her opponent didn't let up. Instead of backing off, Patricia doubled down, crushing the Tiger with repeated stomps! It wasn't a very sophisticated attack plan, but there was no denying that it was effective. The Indian woman took several hard blows to the head and chest, squashing her against the turnbuckle like a bug under a newspaper. Just when it looked like her guard was about to shatter completely, she rallied, catching the Panther's next kick in midair. Panting with effort, she began twisting the American's ankle, trying to unbalance her with a Dragon Screw! If the takedown was successful, she'd transition into a Single-Leg Boston Crab, bending Patricia's spine like a pipe cleaner as she straddled the Panther's muscular back!

"You...you like it rough, huh?" Bengal snarled, as she fought for breath. "Let's see...if you can still stomp so hard...once I break your leg!" She drilled her knee into the small of Patricia's back, then wrenched on the trapped leg again, trying to do anything she could to add more torment to the hold. A large part of that was simply vengeance, retaliation for the injuries that the Panther had already inflicted on her. But that wasn't her only motivation. Bengal had become curious about her opponent's apparent insensitivity to pain. She wanted to test it further, and find out if it had any limits.

Patricia had to thank Sophia for her pain resistance as one of the first lessons she gave her was in how to ignore pain and focus on winning. Which was coming in handy as Bengal was wrenching her leg like she was trying to tear it off while digging her knee into Patricia’s back. Gritting her teeth she reach her arms out and pulling herself towards the nearby ropes thankful that once again the ropes were nearby to save her from Bengal’s clutches. But knowing that Bengal would likely try to keep the hold as long as possible Patricia decided to ignore them and pull herself out of ring and into area surrounding thinking it would force Bengal to let go of the hold faster than simply grabbing the ropes.

If Patricia's pain tolerance did have any limits, she clearly hadn't reached them yet. The tenacious fighter kept crawling arm-over-arm toward the edge of the ring, teeth bared defiantly. Bengal figured that she was going for a rope break, but the American had other plans in mind. As she approached the apron, she rolled under the bottom rope, slipping out of the Tiger's grasp like an eel through a net.

"Where are you going?!? GET BACK HERE!" Bengal screeched, stomping one foot on the canvas, like a toddler throwing a tantrum. Behind her, the referee held up a finger, calling out: "One!" The Panther only had a few moments to return to the ring, or she risked losing by count-out!

Bengal had no intention of waiting for that, however. Just standing around wasn't the Tiger's style - and besides, she was still sore over the way Patricia had clawed her crotch earlier. Pumping her arms, she sprinted at full speed toward the ropes, then leaped forward with arms outstretched. Her reckless Suicide Dive sent her flying out of the ring, threading her way between the top and middle ropes. She seemed to hang in midair for a moment, before crashing down onto the Panther with a Diving Crossbody!

Patricia didn’t care at all about Bengal’s temper tantrum she was more focused on getting back to her feet and the ref’s count. “Okay I’ve got 9 more seconds to get back in the ring” Patricia thought as she got to her feet “that should be plenty to-Oh God” before she could finish up her thought she was hit with Bengal’s suicide crossbody dive! Patricia hit the mat with a THUD with Bengal landing right on top of her. After a few moments of groaning from the impact Patricia would mutter “get of me you crazy bitch” and push Bengal off of her. After getting bengal off her Patricia would try and get back up but that would probably be easier said then done with Bengal still very much active.

Bengal's diving attack hit its mark, and the Tiger took her opponent down in one fell swoop. She still took a hard bump as the pair of them collapsed to the floor, but the other woman's chest cushioned the impact significantly. Bengal attempted to straddle the Panther, planning to hit her with mounted palm strikes. She ignored the referee as they continued the ten-count. "Two!" Unfortunately, the American shoved her away before she could get in position.

That wasn't the end of Bengal's schemes, however. She rolled onto her feet, quickly rising into an upright stance. She thrummed her feet impatiently against the concrete floor, like an engine warming up, then lunged forward. As Patricia struggled to her feet, the Tiger thrust her knee at the back of the other woman's skull, aiming to obliterate her with a Kinshasa! Meanwhile, back in the ring, the ref was becoming concerned. Was Bengal not hearing the count? More likely, she could hear it perfectly fine, and simply didn't care. The official decided to shout a little louder, just in case. "Three!"

Patricia heard the thumping of Bengal’s feet against the concrete as she got on her knees. Patricia quickly turned her head to keep an eye on the tiger only to see her dashing towards her before thrusting her knee forward striking Patricia right on the nose! Patricia flopped onto the ground back first clutching her aching nose and groaning in pain for a second before rolling past the apron and underneath the ring looking to come out the opposite side of the ring away from Bengal as it was clear she wasn’t going to give Patricia any chance to get back on her feet.
