FIVE DAYS EARLIER
“Well, your last match went pretty well, a pretty good show making good numbers and reviews. If you keep going like this we could start thinking about making you progress in terms of a card placement…” Madison knew it was pretty soon in Midnight’s career to start thinking about that, but if her two matches so far were indicative of something was that the raven-haired knew how to make a good show despite what her prospects for a victory were. The manager got a dossier on her table and displayed it in front of Blair.
“Okay, I brought you here to talk about your next rival. She has been around LAW more or less the same time as you, so this should be your paradigmatic rival. Do your best and we will take this one to a good port.”
“I’ll do my best.”
THE PRESENT DAY
Midnight was backstage looking at her rival entrance. She wore some voluminous headset while banging at the rhythm of her own entrance theme. She was a crowd pleaser too, taking some time to shake hands with fans. Arriving to the ring and striking a pose, this Ripley looked like a tough one ready to fight. With the start of Midnight’s theme the lights dimmed and she appeared on the ramp, walking towards the ring amongst the cheers of her growing fanbase. She threw some winks and blew some kisses as she approached the ring, making her usual show out of her coming in between the ropes, flaunting her body a little before her attention would completely shift towards her rival.
Walking to the center of the ring, Midnight would get a proper look at Ripley. A little shorter and most likely a bit lighter than her based on her looks, she could use that to her advantage. What the raven-haired couldn’t deny was that her rival was an absolute eye candy: slim but well built for combat, green haired and an energetic look to her. Midnight tried making a friendly approach.
“Hey there. Ripley, right? I’m Midnight. Let’s have a fun match. I’ll give you my all.”, she said while offering Ripley a friendly handshake.
