Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

"Well, shift direction means what it sounds like," Chiaki said. "We've been doing the Kanako questionnaire for pretty much the whole stream, right? So if you want to, we could do something else, I think. Considering what my channel is, we could pretty easily boot up a game and play for a bit. Though I'd ask we get out of the pool first before we do that. Or I could call up Fuuka and see if she wants to do something with us. Hey hey, do you know who Fuuka is? My tag partner?"

Though Chiaki had been the one who had suggested a change in focus, she was realizing there wasn't a whole ton to shift to outside of gaming. It wasn't like she could turn this into a cooking stream or an art stream. Maybe dancing could work with Kanako, but considering the former idol's circumstances, the streamer didn't know if she would be excited or put off by that. And even if then, Chiaki would prefer Just Dance to whatever Kanako would probably have in mind.

Kanako nodded along as Chiaki explained what ideas she had for switching the stream up a bit, suggesting that they could start playing some games or invite her tag partner Fuuka along. Kanako was sure that Fuuka was a lovely girl, but after that sensual smothering experience Kanako had plans for how she wanted the evening to go and sharing Chiaki's company with another woman worked against them "Can't say I know her, you'll have to introduce me some time! In the meanwhile though, how about we play some games? I'm real great at Mario Kart! You do have a Wii, right?" she asked, her line of questioning probably giving Chiaki a good idea of what skill level Kanako was working with.

"Do I have a Wii?" Chiaki parroted back at Kanako, "hey hey, do you know who you're talking to? I probably own or at least have access to any game console that you've ever heard of. So yes, we can play Mario Kart Wii. We're gonna have to put the pool away and dry off though. So I should put the stream on break for now, probably. We'll be back soo everybody."

With cameras and microphones off for the time being, Chiaki would usher Kanako out of the pool, towel off while handing another to her guest, and begin draining the pool to be put away. "So how good are you actually at Mario Kart?" Chiaki would ask in the meantime. The gamer girl sincerely doubted that the former idol was practiced enough to be on her level, but if she was at least decent, the streamer should be able to make the content feel competitive and entertaining. "Do you know things like the meta vehicle and character choices, shortcuts, and drifting techniques?"

As the two of them paused the stream for a moment to put the pool away Chiaki would ask Kanako how good she was at Mario Kart, prompting a prideful grin to appear on the brunette's face "I'm actually pretty good, you know? I've never lost to any of my cousins at Christmas!" She would declare this mediocre achievement as if it was much more impressive than it truly was, but when Chiaki asked some clarifying questions to test her game knowledge the supernova would completely blank out on all of the questions "Uhh, does the character you pick matter? I like Yoshi" she said cluelessly.

It was a good thing she was pretty.

"Well, being the best out of your family still makes you better than most of the player base, I think," Chiaki said. "Especially because you chose Mario Kart Wii specifically, because it's the game that speedrunners tore apart to optimize as hard as any game in the series, I could talk about the intricacies of this game long enough that my entire audience would get sick of waiting and leave before I was done. But all you really need to know is that motorbikes are better than kart, Funky Kong is the best character in the game, and getting miniturbos by going for as many short drifts as possible is faster than going for a max length drift, assuming you aren't at a turn where using miniturbos won't force you to take a bad angle."

It wouldn't take too long after that for Chiaki to get her set up prepared and be just about ready to get to gaming. "Hey hey, one more thing before I restart the stream," she said, "Do you want to be just you versus me with bots filling out the rest, or do you want to race with my viewers? Obviously online support for the Wii has been shut down for years, but there are programs to get around that."

Kanako nodded along as Chiaki infodumped towards her about Mario Kart, trying her hardest to take in all the information even though she knew she was not going to remember all of it "Motorbikes, Funky Kong, short drifts. Got it!" She gave Chiaki a reassuring thumbs up and a wink. As Chiaki set up the Wii Kanako would finish towelling herself off and then reattach her skirt, no longer needing to worry about getting it wet "Oh lets play with your viewers! Sounds like fun!" Kanako would say in response to Chaiki's question, unknowing of what she was getting herself into.

"Alright," Chiaki said after Kanako asked to play with the streamer's audience. Her Wii was jailbroken, so she just had to open up a few special programs in order to use non-local multiplayer. After she had that set up, Chiaki opened Mario Kart to the opening screen, connected her Wii to her OBS, and restarted the stream.

"Hey hey, we're back," Chiaki said with a wave to the camera. "I asked Kanako, and she said she wants to play with the rest of you guys, so we'll give it a few more minutes for those of you who want to play and have a capable Wii to get on and join us. I'll make a room with the join code up so you guys can get in. Kanako, do you want a standard Wiimote, steering wheel controller, or a Gamecube controller?"

After hearing Kanako's response, Chiaki would go to get the requested controller, but came up with an idea that she wanted to pitch to her guest in private. So she would take a subtle detour to mute her stream before saying, "Would you like to do a punishment game with the races? Where if we lose we have to do something sexy for the camera? Something like if I don't finish first, or if you finish last, then whoever lost has to do a punishment? For the record, I wouldn't be too worried about having to do it. It's 12 person races, and unless basically all the best Mario Kart players in my fanbase are both online right now, and beat out everybody else to get in, you should end up being better than at least a couple, I think." Chiaki would be walking back with Kanako's chosen controller by now, and would take another detour to unmute her stream, looking for an answer from Kanako before she got there.

Once the stream restarted Kanako would join Chiaki in front of the camera, giving Chiaki's fans a wave and smiling brightly as the gamer told her fans that they could join the two of them in the game; Kanako didn't really get how it worked so she was satisfied with letting Chiaki doing the talking beyond her initial greeting of "Ohaiooooo!" She would however get drawn back into the conversation when Chiaki asked her for her preference of controllers "I love the steering wheel controller!" she answered excitedly.

As Chiaki went to get the controller for Kanako she would ask the brunette a question that made her ears prick, turning to face Chiaki so that the viewers couldn't see her face as she spoke so as to not give away that the stream was muted "A punishment game? Sounds fun, it'll really spice things up! I'm down for it!" she'd say, giving her consent for a punishment game to be implemented. Ever since discovering the Kings Game as a teenager Kanako had developed a love of adding stipulations to games, so this was right up her alley!

Chiaki nodded to Kanako as she handed her stream guest a Wii Steering Wheel, acknowledging that she had agreed to participate in the Mario Kart punishment game. The gamer girl sat down next to Kanako as she watched the game lobby loading and connecting. She figured this was as good a time as any to announce this new stipulation.

"Hey hey, you guys should also know that Kanako and I are doing a punishment game for this session," she said. "I get a punishment for any race I don't finish first, and Kanako gets a punishment for any race she finishes last. If we get a punishment, we'll do something sexy for the camera, I think. But we haven't really decided what specifcally yet. If a viewer gets last, there won't be any punishment enforced. If you want to do something, then feel free. Just don't get yourself banned, or do anything stupid,"

The lobby finished loading, and Chiaki got to see the competition. Only so many of even her viewers had a cracked Wii that could still access online, so she recognized most of the people in the game. "Alright, I think you should be alright, Kanako," she said. "A couple of sharks in here, but you shouldn't be the worst player in the lobby, I think. What map do you wanna start on?"

Kanako would nod along as Chiaki explained to her viewers that they'd be doing a punishment game, allowing the gamer girl to say her piece without chiming in like last time. Once the lobby was set up and Chiaki's fans were all logged in Kanako would speak up "Alright guys, go easy on me" she'd request in a sing-song voice, though given the stipulation she and Chiaki had added there was no way these fans wouldn't be out for blood "Let's start in Moo-Moo Meadows!"
