Chloe fought and fought with herself to not give up, to not tap out, to be able to reach for the ropes, she knew she could not let her journey in this tournament end this way, and the ropes were her savior.

“AAAH!” Chloe screamed as Nerissa decided to pull back even more on the Pristine Pegasus’ back and legs, she could feel all the pain run down her body like a waterfall.

But Chloe kept pulling through, and eventually grabbed the ropes, breaking the hold.

Sadly Chloe would not be able to get up right now, as she had to lay on her stomach, and take a deep breath.

Stepping back a few steps from her opponent, Nerissa gave Chloe the opportunity to get to her feet unhindered. The Echidna did this not to make her karma better, but because she wanted to win unconditionally. Nevertheless, after a few moments it became clear to her that the blue-haired woman had decided to abuse Nerissa's decision.

“Are you fucking kidding me?" She hissed in a barely audible voice, clearly annoyed.

When an opponent gives you the opportunity to get back on your feet, you have to gather your strength and get back on your feet, even if it hurts you terribly. Instead, Chloe decided to stay on the mat to recuperate. From Nerissa's point of view, it was a banal act of disrespect both for her personally and for the audience. Snorting in annoyance, the Echidna took a step towards her rival. Since Chloe made that choice, then she should feel the consequences.

The Native American woman intended to bend over and wrap her arms around the blue-haired woman's waist. Putting as much strength into her arms as possible, she was going to lift Chloe off the mat, thereby pressing her pelvis against her opponent's butt. Demonstrating that she is much stronger than most lightweights, Nerissa intended to lean back and thereby smash her opponent's body into the mat with a deadlift German suplex!

While she was recovering, Chloe could tell that Nerissa was coming straight for her, and luckily for the blue haired model, that gave her enough time to think up how to counter and finally start putting the match back in her favor against Nerissa who had so clearly dominated her so far.

Nerissa grabbed Chloe around her waist and Chloe felt Nerissa attempt to German Suplex her, luckily for Chloe, she knew exactly what to do.

While she was thrown, Chloe would attempt to spin herself and somehow manage to land on her feet near perfectly, and while Nerissa did not expect it, Chloe would attempt to jump up and hit Nerissa right in the back with a dropkick.

Everything seemed to be going according to plan, Nerissa grabbed her opponent's waist and lifted her into the air. However, at the moment when the Echidna began to lean back, the blue-haired woman abruptly jerked her legs, thereby slipping out of Nerissa's hands and ending up behind the Native American woman.

Before she could figure out exactly how it happened, Nerissa tried to straighten up to her full height and turn around, but it was too late. Both of Chloe's feet slammed into her back right between her shoulder blades.

“Guah!”

With a painful cry, Nerissa collapsed onto the mat, hitting her face hard, which caused her to make a hissing sound as she tried to recover from such a sudden turn of events.

Chloe finally created an opening, and knew she had a very small window of opportunity to fully change the flow of the match in her favor, and moth on in this tourney.

Chloe quickly shook her legs, making sure she could move as fast as she’s used to. Before she ran towards the ropes and jumped on the middle rope.

Chloe then jumped off the middle rope, and springboarded off them, looking to hit Nerissa’s back with a Springboard Moonsault.

This turn of events was completely unexpected for Nerissa. After her opponent's dropkick, the Echidna found herself face down on the mat and it took her a few moments to recover. However, she couldn't afford to lose today because her career was already going down a very steep slope.

Gritting her teeth, the Native American woman rolled over onto her back, intending then to get to her feet in one sharp jump. But, as it turned out, it was her mistake, because her opponent had already launched an attack. By the time the Echidna rolled over, Chloe had already bounced off the rope, which made Nerissa's eyes widen before…

“GUUUAAAHHHH!!!!”

The blue-haired woman collapsed right across the Echidna, causing her body to fold in half for a moment before she sprawled on the mat again. This time, there was pure agony on Nerissa's face, not to mention the fact that she couldn't take a proper breath due to the muscle spasms in her chest.

Things were fully turning around for Chloe in the match, landing right on Nerissa with a Springboard Moonsault right on Nerissa’s midsection.

Chloe then sat on her knees and raised her fists in celebration. However she knew that the matches in this tournament were held on a short clock and she would have to finish off Nerissa soon.

Chloe would then get up to her feet, and she would then jump up and attempt a Standing Moonsault right onto Nerissa’s midsection.

If that all worked, Chloe would pin Nerissa, hooking her leg and attempting to get the win on her opponent.

Due to the countless thoughts in her head, Nerissa lost her concentration and this led to her no longer being the one leading the match. When Chloe collapsed on top of her from a considerable height, the Native American woman literally lost the ability to move.

Even when the blue-haired woman got off her, the Echidna remained lying on the mat. Her body was in pain and she was desperately trying to pull herself together. But no matter how hard she tried, all her thoughts were still somewhere very far away from this ring. She tried to pretend that she was here simply because of her job, but in reality she wanted to be in a completely different place with a completely different person.

Because of this, she didn't even notice that her opponent was preparing to attack again. Without moving from her place, Chloe jumped into the air, and then collapsed on Nerissa for the second time.

“GUUUAAAHHHH!!!”

Because of this, the Native American woman almost lost consciousness, her body was filled with unimaginable pain. Taking advantage of this, Chloe hooked her leg, starting the pin.

“ONE!”

“TWO!!”

“THR!!!...”

It was only when the referee's hand went to the mat for the third time that Nerissa jerked sharply to the side, lifting her shoulder off the mat and thereby breaking the pin. In fact, it was just an involuntary outburst of her pride, because even though her mind was occupied with other things, she was used to fighting to the very end.

Chloe was disappointed by the fact that she nearly had Nerissa pinned for the win, almost having a win over one of the top women in the Lightweight Division, even if she was on a bit of a downturn, but she knew she was just a few seconds away from beating Nerissa.

Chloe then got up to her feet slowly and winked towards the crowd, knowing that she had Nerissa exactly where she wanted her, and that this match would end soon.

As soon as it looked like Nerissa was getting up to her feet, Chloe would run towards the corner before jumping off the top rope, springboarding off and backwards towards Nerissa.

She was going to attempt to hit her finishing move, The Chloe Cutter on Nerissa.

Nerissa was ready to curse everything in the world at that moment. Victoria may have acted out of good intentions by signing up the Native American woman for this tournament, but in fact it was far from the best way to help Nerissa cope with her emotional state. It was the first mistake Victoria had made since Nerissa agreed to sign the contract.

Lying on her right side, the Echidna felt her whole body ache with pain. Even though her eyes were open, her vision was blurred. Only her instincts told her that she had to get back on her feet in order to maintain at least some chance of success. So she had to grit her teeth and put her palms on the mat.

Huffing and puffing, she pushed off the mat and rose to her feet in one sharp movement. At the same moment, she staggered due to dizziness, it seems she underestimated the amount of damage her body had taken. And this became a critical mistake, because because of this, she lost her concentration and did not have time to react to what her rival was up to.

Jumping from the ropes, Chloe wrapped Nerissa's head with her hands, after which the Echidna's body went down at a wild speed. Before she even realized what was happening, her face slammed into the mat. The agony lasted only one second because after that, the Native American woman's mind was shrouded in darkness. She remained lying on the mat without any signs of movement.
