Clara Gaster vs Alaina Sanders

Clara's vision flickered, as she tried to blink herself awake after Alaina's mighty strike...only to realize that she was lifted off the canvas by her torso, looking down at the mat. The first thought in Clara's head after Alaina picked her up, and she had no chance of countering was quite simple:

"This is gonna hurt...

With that thought, Clara was flung through the air, the Amazon tossing her like she was nothing, straight onto her back with a Gutwrench Suplex!

"GUAAAAAAAGH!!!"

With the scream from the painful landing, Clara remained on the floor, unable to lift a single muscle!

Alaina had sent Clara crashing to the mat and nodded her head. She was regaining control and she was going to gamble. She had been hammered in the early going and honestly Clara was the one who controlled the majority of the match having nearly had Alaina beat a couple times. Alaina was going to make no room for doubt with her next move. At least that is what she hoped to do. She pulled Clara up and wrapped an arm around her head while grabbing her waist. Alaina was going to lift her up as if for a vertical suplex but after holding her for a second Alaina would spin more for the fall sending Clara crashing down with her little used but devastating jackhammer! If all went according to plan Alaina would stay on top of Clara hooking her legs as she attempted to pin Clara!

With Clara unable to move a muscle, she was easy pickings for Alaina, as the Amazon effortlessly lifted the Brit off the canvas, turning her upside down in a suplex position, before swiftly spinning her downward, smashing her back against the ring canvas with a Jackhammer!

Alaina swiftly hooked the Shadow Lord's leg, trying for a pin once more:

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THRE--NOOO!!!"

Just in the nick of time, Clara would summon her strength to kick out of the pin, throwing her hand upward...before it limply fell onto the ground once more. Clara barely had any fight in her left...but as long as she could, she would keep the match going...

Alaina felt Clara kick out and a wave of disappointment washed over. Did she have to retire that move? It hadn't pinned anyone in a couple years now...

As Clara kicked out Alaina shook her head and took a few deep breaths as she stood up, pulling Clara with her. She shoved Clara's head between her legs and grabbed her around the waist. It was quite clear that Alaina was going for an amabomb. Next all Alaina had to do was lift her up then send her crashing to the mat, fully confident that this would keep Clara down if everything went according to plan...

This was the last bit of defiance Clara was able to muster. Even after the kickout, her limbs fell to the ground, not responding to any command her brain was sending.

With that, Alaina picked Clara up, and with one more heave, lift and drop to the ground with one last Amabomb, it was all she wrote for the Shadow Lord in this match.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THREE! RING THE BELL"

DING DING DING!!!

Alaina laid there a second before rolling off Clara. She shook her head and hobbled up to her feet, her fist in the air. She just barely survived Clara. She had been run through the ringer and managed an amabomb, had that been countered Alaina wasn't sure she would have survived another onslaught of Clara's offense. She was breathing deep and slumped against the ropes hoping to make her way to Clara to help her up if she wasn't already starting to rise.

Clara laid on the floor, unable to move a muscle. Disappointment washed over her. She brought her best against Alaina and it wasn't enough...but even more disappointing was that she was quite...quite close. Alaina was still a top class wrestler even if she was on the older side of things, and even being this close got a standing ovation from LAW's faithful. If she took just one more chance...she knew she could...

Clara opened her eyes, seeing the Amazon offering her hand to help her up.

Not wanting to be a poor sport, and really needing help, Clara accepted it, Alaina pulling the Brit to her feet:

"Th-thank you...both for this, and for the match..." Clara would say in respect to Alaina...

Alaina pulled her up and nodded. "You went from running around a haunted house to being one of the best women in LAW or anywhere else in the ring. You are a damn good wrestler and you are going to have some title or another around your waist before long." Alaina said as she helped Clara up patting her on the back. She raised Clara's hand in the ring and clapped for her knowing just how close she came multiple times to being defeated by the lightweight wrestler.

Clara blushed at Alaina praising her. nodding at her words. The loss still stung, but the knowledge that she grew way...way past the Haunted Houses and was able to almost beat Alaina...it was a victory in and of itself for the Brit.

Alaina would raise Clara's hand, and once released, Clara would give a big, respectful bow to the Amazon before leaving the ring, to let her celebrate her win, Clara still greeting and clapping hands with the fans on the way out...needing a very hot shower, and a lot of cold presses afterwards, as she could feel the soreness come about from the bumps she endured in the match...
