Cody listened intently as he swirled his wine glass around taking an occasional drink for himself. He coughed to himself as the wine was seemingly starting to get to him, but he composed himself for Drasna.

I haven’t been to Greece yet. I started my career back in the tail end of the 90s and I idolized lots of the legends that ended up training me. Valentine, Hansen, Beefcake, they even grew into being some of my best opponents as well as friends. Hansen even introduced me to competing in Japan. I did it for a year and while Strong Style was tough on my body, I managed to adapt into the moveset rather well. A lot of people compare me to Lance Storm. Both know what we are doing and reliable leaders for match crafting. Although, for the longest time, I never thought of myself as a locker room leader considering I was usually shy as a kid. That’s my wrestling career in a nutshell. When did you start wrestling?” Cody asked.

Drasna smiled and listened to Cody as he spoke, taking the occasional sip of her wine as she did so and had to admit he was certainly capable and experienced if nothing else, a lot like herself in that regard. "Hehe I can certainly see it, well for what it's worth I can see it. You give a disciplined yet at ease vibe, like a strong pillar." Drasna said before he turned the topic of how she started to wrestle.

"Oh well you see, my family has a long history of producing great Greco roman wrestlers, so that's where my training and interest first began. But I received a injury when I was eighteen in the try outs. I was forced to slow down and took a trip to Japan while I recovered to help uplift my spirits. There I saw the kind of wrestling you and myself are more used to and I guess you can say I was enamored. Drasna said with a wistful smile before continuing.

"After I got back home I recovered and started training again, I made my debut at twenty and from there it was all traveling and competition, I only really took a break when I hit twenty five and my daughter was born. Even then I went back out and wrestled as much as I could..." Here Drasna paused and looked to the side for a moment before turning back to Cody and smiling again.

"But well I should have been more considerate of my family at the time. I was away too much and it led to a divorce with my husband, I also stopped traveling so much to be there more for my daughter, a pseudo retirement you could say. But when she became an adult and actually followed my footsteps and got signed here, I decided to come back and try to make the most of the years I have left. you know?" Drasna said with a smile and nod to Cody as she waited to see how he reacted.

Drasna seemed like she was well-traveled herself despite some setbacks in her career. Though Cody wouldn’t touch much on the situation surrounding her divorce and ex-husband since that was more of personal matters. At least Drasna realized she should have been considerate, but at the same time, if wrestling is her job, then she is obliged to try and help make a living for her family if that was the case. Cody nodded along and addressed Drasna’s story.

It seems you just wanted to get the most out of your career. I’m sorry to hear about the divorce, but if I may put a silver lining out, wrestling is our job and it’s a risk we take when we take on such a demanding sport. That includes potentially traveling country to country in order to bring recognition to our names and with each appearance, it’s a great source of income. Finding the balance is hard, but you knew when it was time to settle down for a bit when you had your child. Then when your daughter started working the ring, you saw it as a chance to get back out there without any more restrictions. Wrestling is hard to adjust to in the “making time for other areas” category, but it is what it is. At least that’s what my trainers always said. I’m sure your daughter is going to shape up to be incredible like you,” Cody explained with a warm smile.

After finishing her recount of her story Drasna would lean back and see how Cody took it in and processed the information. Thankfully it seemed he really did understand her point of view quite well which made Drasna smile a bit brighter in response as she nodded at his kind words. "Hehe thank you. Honestly its nice to hear that sentiment out loud from someone eles." She said earnestly in response to his words before perking up a bit at the last thing he mentioned.

"Aw thank you! My darling Cassandra has already shown considerable growth, watching her matches from afar has really been exhilarating." Drasna said before pausing as a thought entered her mind. "Actually pardon me Cody, I forget if you mentioned it before or not, but what about you? Do you have any children?" Drasna asked curious if she was the only parent among the two of them.

Cody perked up at Drasna’s question about him having children. He fiddled with his fingers looking off for a second before he really thought about it. Cody hoped he wasn’t looking too suspicious, but he never really thought of having kids. Maybe it could’ve been something once he retired and focused on his political career, but even then, work would just be too demanding for him and he wouldn’t have the time to settle down. At least this was all before he meant Drasna. Cody composed himself before answering honestly.

I don’t have any children. A Saint Bernard named Abe back home in Phoenix, but that’s it. I thought animals were always easier to take care of,” Cody explained.

Drasna admittedly took note of how fidgety and nervous Cody seemed at her question. It had her curious admittedly but children could be a sensitive topic for him, not that much of a stretch given their age so for now she wouldn't press it further than here. Instead Drasna would just smile and nod with a chuckle at what he said. "Hehe I see. well you aren't wrong there haha." Drasna said with a nod before leaning forward and reaching out to grasp his hand. "You know.. its quite easy to talk to you. I'm having a lot of fun." Drasna said earnestly with a smile towards the man.

Cody was glad he wasn’t coming off as someone that cringed at the thought of having kids. Abe was a hassle enough on his own being a big dog with ginormous needs so a son or daughter was the least of his concerns now. He really just wanted to focus on courting Drasna properly and she had been very pleasant herself. Contributing to her elder age, Drasna wasn’t full of herself and knew her limits while adding a playful flair. She was also gorgeous for her age and could be someone Cody can actually see himself settle down with once they decided it was time to hang their boots up, but this was just the first date of hopefully many.

I was shy growing up so I never really got on any gossiping trains or thought too highly of myself. At least not on an egotistical level. I believe in just being a normal person for people to get along with. We mature folk are the kindest people out there so we know how to conduct ourselves. We never let anything stop us even when we probably should. You’re elegant and awesome yourself. It’s nice to have this date and I’m glad to spend time with you,” Cody explained as he grabbed onto Drasna’s opened hands.

Drasna made a bit of a forward move but thankfully it seemed to be appreciated by the man as he continued speaking making Drasna smile lightly. "Hehe, lucky for you that humbleness is quite the attractive quality." Drasna said with a wink, and it was true, for her at least. Sure Cody was conventionally handsome, no denying, but it would have been wasted on someone that went on about themselves or their accomplishments, but Cody was down to earth and kind. Much more attractive in her opinion.

"You also have an excellent choice of words with how easily you flatter me." Drasna said with a smile at the second half of his words before feeling a bit... bolder as she leaned towards him with a flirty smile. "If its not too forward... we can spend a lot more time together tonight once dinner is over... at my place perhaps?" Drasna suggest with a smile and slightly lustful gaze towards the man.

Cody smiled as he was enjoying his time with Drasna and he respected her a lot not just for being an accomplished and serious professional wrestler, being a doted mother, and being a mature woman with great morals, but just as someone that wasn’t difficult to work things out with. However, she was increasingly also becoming a woman who knew what she wanted. Drasna invited Cody back to her place post-dinner and the lustful look she gave notes to Cody that there’s only one place she really wants him when they get there. Cody is by no means a virgin and has had his own experiences with women when he dated when he could, but it’s been years since his last outing so he’s a bit out of practice. Cody leaned in with a friendly smirk as he chuckled.

I can’t say you waste time on anything. I’ll take you up on the invitation. If you’re the one asking me, you must have quite a few surprises,” Cody whispered seductively to his date.

Making her rather bold effort was part of Drasna's own way of testing Cody and seeing how he would react... So when he not only retained his composure but even leaning forward and matching her seductive tone with one of his own as well which made Drasna smile excitedly. "I don't know about surprises.. that'll depend on you... But I certainly can't wait to find out." Drasna said with a grin as their food finally arrived.
