Dear Diary~...

Diary Entry (READ ME)

I can't believe it! It's happening! It's REALLY, REALLY happening!!! After nearly a year of training, I'm finally breaking out into the wrestling scene as a full-fledged professional wrestler! I'm on my way across the ocean in the family jet, looking to set up a home away from home for myself as I take my first steps toward my dreams of being a world-class wrestler. And to think, right out the gate from training I've already been given a spot in one of the BIGGEST wrestling promotions ever, LAW!!! I can't believe Daddy surprised me with a genuine contract for my birthday. He's always such a supportive smarty-pants!!! I think I nearly squeezed the life out of him when I hugged him for like-...five minutes straight, but I was just SOOOOO happy.

AHHH I COULD SCREAM RIGHT NOW!!!

I mean, I really shouldn't, it might throw the pilot off...but I want to sooooooo badly. So scribbling down in my beloved diary extra hard and emphasizing how I feel will get my point across when I need to keep my tone down. As Mother would say: 'A proper young lady should have proper manners and precise discipline-'...She's also such a smarty-pants, but like in a wise, poetic way. It's gotta be from all the kale smoothies and the morning marathons, right? Go figure. My mother, the fitness queen of LA, never knows when to stop pushing herself further. She always says that everyone has tons of potential within them just waiting to be tapped into and that we should all strive to improve ourselves every day. Well, I'll take those words to heart and improve every step of the way, Mom! Your little girl has grown up and is off to do BIG things, meet new people, and make a legendary story for herself!!!

Say, that's actually a genius idea!!! I should TOTES keep a diary log of all my adventures here! From the highs to the lows! Although, hopefully, there are way more highs than lows-...OHHH-!!! We're landing soon! I can't wait!!! I'll talk to you soon, my dear diary~...A big day awaits!

Day 0:

As the private jet touched down on the tarmac and rolled into the airport, Ami would burst out the moment she was cleared to go, high-tailing it straight to the luggage claim area as she and her group of attendants flocked by her side, trying to keep up with the rather impatient, eager young woman as she towed some of her bags along with her...because of course she wasn't going to make her assigned assistants do ALL the heavy-lifting. Following a hectic scene at the airport, Ami was driven by one of her assistants while the other sat in the backseat alongside her to go over her itinerary for the following days. Lots of meetings, a bit of training, and some press stuff? So much to do, and so little time, but Ami was excited to do all of it!!!

Once they got to the luxury apartment building in the heart of Tokyo, Ami had all her stuff taken up to one of the complex's penthouse suites, taking in the sights as she looked over the balcony at the wonderful city, too eager to explore it from top to bottom. While her assistants went out to prep their own accommodations, Ami was left to her own devices, exploring her home and all the lovely additions that came with it. It was filled, but it felt empty. Well go figure-...Ami hadn't added her personal touch yet! Judging from the looks of it, there was a lot to take care of if she wanted to turn this drab, posh environment into her own home. Firstly, she had to unpack a lot of her stuff. The suite was already furnished but some of Ami's furniture and decor was still being shipped. For now, she made her bed, decorated with a few things she managed to fit in suitcases and bags and made her bedroom a nice cozy space for herself while also setting aside space in the main living room area for her lovely corgis, Cotton & Candi.

Following a long, exhausting day of work and set-up, paired with the ever-tiring feeling of experiencing jet lag for the first time, Ami had finally made it. She was here. In the heart of Japan, miles from home, and less than a week or so away from debuting on one of the biggest stages of her life. She went to bed with a smile



Day 1:

After the first day, Ami realized she was woefully unprepared for how massive and bustling Tokyo was compared to home. On top of that, she had NO idea of the culture. She spoke Japanese thanks to her mother, but she didn't have a clue as to what some of the best sights to see were, the best restaurants, the party venues, the nightlife, the traffic, the people, etc...She was like a pond fish suddenly gaining access to the wide, vast ocean. While she had her two assistants here to help her set her living arrangements up, and her lovely pets Cotton and Candi to provide emotional support (very important, of course-...), she didn't have a guide to show her around. This HAD to change...and fast-...Ami had several important meetings in the next couple of days to get her informed and prepared for her debut, so she had to be ready. She needed someone in her life who could help show her around...but who-? That's when she scrolled through her email on her phone, checking out this one message sent by some LAW administrator about some useful apps and tools that talent used here and there, in particular...one such app called 'Grappl'...apparently, it was like a dating app, one where fellow wrestlers under the LAW brand could meet and mingle together, but with a twist-...no identifying information. No images or anything like that, just some basic information: Interests, likes/dislikes, etc..

Well, how about that-?! Like a sign from the heavens themselves, Ami had her prayers answered. But wait-...wasn't this a dating app kind of thing? Would anyone be interested in partaking in such a thing? Well, she could at least try. Perhaps it'd all work out for the best! After all, it's better to meet a fellow wrestler than a total stranger. At least she'll have a couple of things in common, and if they mesh well, they could become best friends! With a bit of time on her hands, Ami submitted a profile and request. Now all that was left to do...was wait.

To be completely honest, I just moved here like-...a day or two ago and I need help gathering my bearings and learning the ropes...pun intended~...of living in a different country. Coming from LA and living on my own for the first time, it's a little scary. I just really need a friend to help me out.

Niko sighed out loudly, completely and utterly bored as she laid about on her couch in her apartment. It was a mandatory off day for her to rest up after a string of matches and training so she couldn't do any training but unfortunately both Tiki and Ivy as well as the other few friends she had were all busy. So she had no one to hang out with or do anything with and it was unacceptable! Niko was a social creature and while she COULD just bum around all day it was not ideal, especially not when she was in an active mood.

"Ugh.. time for the red button protocol..." Niko said to herself in defeat before taking out her phone and opening up the Grappl up. Niko had been around when it was first introduced and she knew its function but she wasn't all too sure about it since she had some bad luck with dating apps in the past. Granted it helped that this one in particular was centralized for LAW but there were still some sketch characters in the organization.

But Niko knew that she had a rather divisive start in LAW, and that the people who hated her guts backstage were more numerous than those she was friends with. Hence she saved making a grappl profile for a day like today where she REALLY needed to meet someone new who was arithmetically chosen as someone she could get along with. "There that should do it." Niko said as she put the finishing touches on her profile before sending it in. "Just please no weirdos." Niko said softly while leaning back against the couch, knowing that now was just a waiting game for when a match was found.

It...surprisingly...wouldn't take long for Ami to get a match on her Grappl request. That was, honestly, a total shock. She sat upright in her comfy bed, scanning the message alert, trying to make sure it wasn't some spam notification, a bot scam, or an info email for new users. No, no way-...this was a real-deal match with a real-deal gal. What're the odds? Her heart thumped in her chest. Maybe the stars had aligned JUST right for her tonight. Ohhh~...all the things she was going to put into her journal now. However, there was little time to waste!!! She had a potentially hot date and guide in front of her, and she needed to jump on the opportunity right away!!! She immediately signed in to try and text the mystery woman, whoever they might be, trying to introduce herself as her fingers fumbled across the keyboard...

Hi- *delete* Heyyy- *delete* Sup *HARD DELETE*

GAH, why was this so hard?!? She didn't know how to roll with this when she couldn't even get the best read on her match from the profile. -Phew- ... No need to panic, just calm down. One thing caught her eye, however, as she glanced back at the mystery lady's answers. "Return the energy you get from others". Interesting~! Maybe this wasn't as difficult as Ami was making it out to be. After flying halfway around the world, surely she could handle this much, right?! With a deep breath, she sent her opening message:

Hey! Seems like we're a match! I'm new in town and need a lot of help getting adjusted. Seems like Grappl thinks you're the right gal for the job <3

Zzzzzzz

Zzzzzz- "Buh wha?"

The soft sounds of snoring echoing around the dim apartment would be broken by the sound of a notificatio breaking the source of said snores from her boredom induced slumber. Sitting up Niko would rub her eyes, having fallen asleep on the couch having waited for a possible match only to realize that that's exactly what had woken her up. "Oh shit." Niko said actually a bit surprised, about to respond, if not for seeing that whoever she was matching with was in the midst of writing a text.

Deciding to wait it out so she didn't step on the mystery woman's toes Niko would hum softly before looking down as about a minute later a text would indeed come through. 'Oh ok pretty basic and low stakes too.' Niko thought to herself seeing that the person she had matched with just really needed help getting used to the town which was easy for her so she promptly began type on her own phone.

"Hai hai! Sure I'd be down. :3 Is there anywhere you wanted to start with? certain area of town? where are the best malls? good park etc? We can use that as a meeting place.

'That seems reasonable I hope," Niko thought to herself with a smiled as she finished sending the text and leaned back on her couch waiting for a reply from whoever it was. It was hard to tell off a single text but Niko had a pretty good feeling about this.

After getting a reply, Ami LUNGED after her phone, nearly knocking it off the bed, scrambling to get it unlocked so that she could read through it, and once she did...her face was reddening and a smile was forming! "Oh my GOSH! She's just like me, quirky and weird!!! ... I should-...phrase that better when I meet her. When I meet her...? OH!! WE NEED A MEETING PLACE!!! Uhhhh-!!!" She frantically searched across her notes, recommendations from friends, and a local area map. She scoured through her resources, looking to find a place that was not only first-date material, but somewhere she could comfortably discover things, especially since it's her first time ANYWHERE here. She looked at a nearby ice cream parlor famed for its fresh, farm-made ice cream. She pulled up the address, checked the reviews, and saw that there was an open reservation spot available for some taste testing. What luck!!! Without skipping a beat, she made the reservation, snagging a session at 1 P.M. when it would be really hot in the city, meaning that an ice cream break to start things off would be perfect.

Ami certainly felt clever after this one...without much else to do, she got everything together and texted her mystery partner back, adding the directions and address to the place in advance...

Meet me at this ice cream parlor on this street, close to one o'clock in the afternoon! You won't wanna miss it~ <3 <3 <3

How cutesy...how cheesy...it was sickeningly sweet and naive, but it was certainly genuine~...Ami hit send and immediately ran to her closet, digging through her many outfits to figure out what she wanted to wear! The next day would come, and after the two chatted a little bit to get a feel for one another, it was finally time for them to come face to face. It was almost one in the afternoon, the sun was out, and the clouds were scarce, but a happy-go-lucky young woman dressed in a lovely, fashionable, yet casual outfit wasn't worried, merely waiting for the arrival of her 'date'. After making it to the ice cream parlor first, Ami texted the mystery woman a photo of her outfit so she'd be easily identifiable, although she hadn't shown her face in the picture. After all, there was no need to ruin the surprise for either of them, of course.

Niko blinked upon seeing a return text come almost as fast as she had sent her own. "Well she's eager that's a good thing." Niko said to herself with a chuckle as she read through and nodded. It was a place she was familiar with so it'd be easy to get too. Getting up and stretching a bit Niko would head to her closet, getting out a cute, but relatively simple outfit consisting of a pink skirt, hi tops and a white frilly shirt with a red ribbon the front.

After doing her hair and checking her make up Niko would head back down stairs, grabbing her purse and slipping out of the house to head towards where she knew the ice cream parlor was. Feeling her phone beep in her purse though Niko would take it out and see that her date had texted her a picture of her outfit, but left out her face.

'Hehe clever.' Niko thought to herself with a smile, actually getting a bit excited now as she neared, eyes scanning the crowd before spotting a outfit that matched what was sent. Along with a body and face that filled it in quite nicely and face that was as cute as hers with adorable brown hair and vibrant pink eyes.

'Jack pot.' Niko thought to herself as she waved at the girl. "Heyyyy! Unless I'm mistaken I think you're my date today. I'm Niko Tomiji!" Niko said cheerily in a forward way, extending her hand out with the greeting to shake her muster date's hand while waiting for her to introduce herself.

When Ami finally met Niko, she was completely taken aback. Never in a million years could she say enough prayers to thank the heavens above for allowing the OPPORTUNITY to meet someone so wonderful. Without even really KNOWING Niko deep down, Ami already felt a connection. Similar heights and builds, similar tastes in fashion, and a similar love for ice cream, as it turns out, as both looked just as excited not only to meet each other, but to beat the summer heat by indulging in some lovely frozen delights! But first, introductions!!!

"Ami Anderson...It's nice to meet you, and-...oh wow-...I knew I was lucky, but I didn't know I was this blessed to be matched with someone so pretty. I don't know if it's the heat or just me, but-...wow~..." She said, nervously flirting off the bat as she looked at Niko up and down, admiring her softness and cute attire. "You look amazing~..." Not to sell herself short, she was wearing a lovely outfit as well but she was so entirely captivated by the pinkette's simple yet wonderful choice of attire...and given her eagerness and desire, Ami's brain was also wrapped up in brief fantasies about what might lie beneath the lacy, pillowy soft looking clothing...but for now, she had to focus!

Niko was definitely feeling better about this date after getting a good look at Ami and her adorable outfit, not to mention that as the girl spoke it only further made Niko more at ease and even excited her! "Hehe I was about to say the same thing to you! You have a natural glow about and you're outfit really accentuates it!" Niko said to the woman in response to Ami's compliments, returning them right back to the girl with admittedly a soft blush of her own on her face. Needless to say this 'date' was off to as good a start as possible. "Speaking of this heat let's get something chill to balance out with, plus we can talk over ice cream better than out here." Niko said with a giggle as she nudged her head towards the ice cream shop before moving to head inside.

Ami smiled, blushing ever so slightly as she felt her heart beat a little faster. "Well-...someone's a real flirt~...You totally outdid me in that regard. Talk about a first impression~" Ami said jovially, her smile widening as Niko's words continued to spiral around in her mind. When Niko mentioned that they should get right into the 'main event' of the date, Ami's eyes widened with excitement. "Oh, of course. Let's!" She said, following alongside Niko and entering the ice cream parlor. A cool wave of sweet-scented air would hit them in the face, immediately bringing down the temperature as they stepped in to see a cute but rustic-looking establishment, clearly a product of its time. There weren't many 'modern' touches to it, aside from the cutesy decor here and there, giving it that very pop-like upbeat feel...especially appealing to tourists, which Ami gawked and marveled at, of course.

In fact, it felt much more like a bigger version of an ice cream stall that one may see in a countryside village or something like that. It was cozy, inviting, and the many different flavors that swirled through the air only served to lure in customers further and further...bubblegum...various fruits...the classic Neopolitan trio...you name it. It had such a rich scent to it, all the flavors seemed like they were pure, with very few layers of artificiality to it, if any at all...

"Wow~" Ami said, looking around to take it all in. Over in the corner, there was a sign that read 'Line Starts Here'...a perfect starting place...

Niko stuck her tongue out teasingly in response to what Ami said about her flirting. "Hehe, you'll get used to it... but hopefully not too soon. I'm curious which will melt faster, you or the ice cream." Niko said with a teasing whisper before making her way inside the ice cream parlor along with an enthusiastic Ami right behind. Niko hummed softly as the cooling air graced her skin before looking around and nodding happily at the design. She'd only been here once before but she enjoyed it and the atmosphere was part of why.

There was only a few people ahead of them in line as the two stopped at the start sign, not enough time for the wait to be grueling but enough for them to chat a bit. "Sooo you're post said you're new to Japan right? Were you scouted or did you sign up for the lioness program?" Niko asked curiously, able to believe both possible options but curios as to what Ami would say, or more specifically if she would mention more about herself beyond what she directly asked.
