Rekindled Rivalry

The constant struggle was starting wear Karina down and the longer this went on, the more she started to realize that her tank was almost completely out. Jeanne did not stop, so neither did Karina. However, the long haired fighter was starting to think of ways to change this, to find a method where she would use less power and gain some form of leverage, though with how dead even they were, it would only take more strength to even find an angle to achieve it.

So, she decided to do something else, which was suddenly allowing Jeanne to push into her rather than meeting her with equal strength. For once, Karina stubbornness knew that it was impossible to deal with Jeanne's strength and come out on top, so she tried to make them both fall, even twisting her body to the side so that they would both fall down on their sides!

Jeanne and Karina's contest seemed to wear the two wrestlers' stamina dry, gassing them out as both women looked as if they were tiring each other out. Sweat rolled down Jeanne's back as she huffed out right into the face of her rival. With both women as dead even as they seemed to be there was only a matter of time before they would both be forced to yield.

Though it seemed as if Karina had a plan to hasten that situation, as she allowed Jeanne to push into her foe. The Crusader and the Beast's bodies were mashed even more together as then Karina twisted them to the side and both then fell down onto their sides! With a grunt Jeanne landed on the canvas, huffing and panting as she still held her hands together with Karina, clasped together.

"Phew....damn..." Her breath would whisk against Karina's cheek, as her ample bust pressed against her rivals' large pair. Slowly she would release Karina's hands and try to pull her arms away. " You're just as strong as I remember you being, Karina." Jeanne complimented her rival as she would slowly roll over onto her back, her chest heaving with each breath. The test of strength had taken quite a bit out of her, though she didn't feel bad about ending up in a draw against someone like Karina Rine.

To say Karina was winded would be a understatement, she knew that Jeanne was a tough opponent to even spar with, yet even after all those years, no matter how much Karina had improved, her long time rival has done pretty much the same. Then again, she didn't really expect a simple spar either, and Karina's arrogance often mixed with her strength, to the point where she was being brought to her very limits.

Now she was on her side, yet the battle did not end as their hands were still entwined and Jeanne was still trying to make certain there was some form of contest going on, even when neither one of them were able to get back up quickly. She could feel the warm air brush against her cheek when Jeanne would speak up, releasing the grip and would roll onto her back instead.

It was a motion Karina would mimic, rolling onto her own back and bringing a arm up to gently rest it upon her forehead, lips parting to exhale and inhale sharply, making it known that Karina had used all her strength just to rival Jeanne's, and that left a certain amount of satisfaction to find them both hitting a draw after their back and forth.

"You answered every push, punch and press with the ferocity I remembered, even led the charge that had me fighting defensive for a change. Glad I came into this knowing it won't just be a spar, Jeanne."

[Devastated]

After a few moments of catching her breath, Jeanne would force herself to sit up. Her body was glistening with sweat as she released some heavy huffing breaths, she brought her right hand up and stroked her fingers through her hair, drops of sweat flying about as she softly shook out her dampened hair. She turned her head to look over at the supine rival of hers.

"You certainly kept up with your training, that's for sure. To withstand all my might like that. I'm impressed, or rather...I'm glad to see you haven't lost your edge." Jeanne spoke as she would slowly force herself to stand up. She'd offer her hand to Karina, wanting to help her rival up to her feet. "Though, I think we both know that a spar isn't enough for the both of us, Isn't that right, Karina?" Jeanne said with a slight smirk on her face as she would try to keep her grip on Karina's hand firm and tight should she accept her help up to her feet.

The person who had been her first rival in the past, back in her troubling school days where she was both a wrestler and a brawler, that typical banchou kind of fighting girl who didn't like rules but at the very least liked a challenge,was still very much the same and improved just like Karina.

Karina needed some time, a quick breathing to get herself to cool down somehow, and soon her hands found the canvas and would begin pushing herself to sit up, which was the second hardest part right now. Her body felt like it was on fire, her power was non existent right now and she was definitely going to remain in bed and be lazy for a few days.

The hardest part was getting up now, which Karina would stubbornly do the moment she saw Jeanne getting up and offering a hand. Now, Karina ain't no Vegeta, she will take a hand if it's needed and it's very much needed.. But a rival is still a rival, even after the fight. But once she's up, she'll take Jeanne's hand to give it firmly as a sign of sportsmanship, it was definitely a spar that felt like both a match and a fight of the week for her.

"I getcha.. We'll take some time off, I'll give you my phone number when you're good and ready, we'll set a date in the official ring and see which one of us is still able to get up after dishing out everything our bodies have to offer.. Deal?"

Jeanne smiled as Karina decided to take her hand, it appeared as if she hadn't changed much from their good old days, their youthful rivalry seemed to remain without any signs of bitterness at all. It was enough to make Jeanne's tired body feel refreshed. She helped pull Karina up to her feet and once they were both standing she felt how her rival gave her hand a firm squeeze. The purple haired woman would blink and tilt her head, looking at Karina's face before she would return the firm squeeze on Karina's hand.

Hearing that Karina had understood exactly what she meant, left Jeanne with nothing more to do than nod at her words. " Of course. That sounds fantastic, though I hope you're ready to get bearhugged into submission again." Jeanne teased with a soft smirk on her lips, as she would stare into Karina's eyes with a fiery intensity.

After breaking off their grip on each other's hand, Jeanne would take a couple steps back and then grab her towel at the corner of the ring, she started to wipe herself down...she'd really worked up quite a sweat in this spar. She made a mental note to call on Karina for some more sparring if she ever felt that she'd need this level of a workout again. Though now she'd like nothing more than to get a cold drink, refresh some electrolytes and maybe take a good long shower. "Don't forget to give me your number, Rina~"

Karina was pulled up, and she would shift her attention to her own balance, nothing wanted to appear weak and just stood tall in front of her old rival who just gave her one of the most toughest spar she's had in years. After the brief squeeze, she withdrew her own hand, bringing it across her chest and let her other arm follow to cross them both, taking a more solidified stance while she listened to Jeanne.

A part of her wants to flat out say it, to say that it was just like old times but there was plenty of that the next time they would actually enter the ring and make it just as serious as this spar was. She made her way to the other corner besides Jeanne, grabbing a towel to dry off her face, the rest can be done later once everything was said and done.

Course, the long haired fighter couldn't help but roll her eyes when Jeanne told her that last part, which caused Karina to get between the ropes and descend the sparring ring.

"Yeah yeah, you'll get my phone number and house address, in case your sorry ass needs a place to stay or you want to spar some more."

Jeanne couldn't help but chuckle a bit as she saw Karina's solid stance, it appeared to the English woman as if Karina was trying to seem tough, despite the sweat rolling down her brow. It had been one hell of a spar, reminiscent of their olden days of sparring together and wrestling. It was intense, and within Jeanne's heart she could feel that burning desire to throw down with Karina for real on the big stage.

As they both stood at the corner of the ring, wiping themselves of the built up sweat from their spar. Jeanne waited for Karina's words and watched as her rival descended from the ring. She would do the same after slipping out from the ropes, stretching out a little as she landed on her feet.

"Oh? Sounds awfully lot like you're inviting me to stay over ~ At the moment I'm staying at a hotel though, but perhaps I'll take you up on that offer before I find a place to actually settle into." Jeanne said as she would stride up next to Karina and nudge her with a firm elbow in the side, not hard, but just to make sure she had Karina's attention. " Sparring again would be nice. Hard to get as good a workout against someone other than you Rina~. Just like the good old days." Jeanne spoke with a friendly, somewhat cheeky smile. Unlike Karina, she had no qualms about voicing her delight at getting back into the ring with her old friend and rival.
