Kings and Queens Tournament Aftermath: Celebrating new friends, new titles, and new opportunities

Oscar had a laugh at Loba's reaction to what he said about Kat. He deeply appreciated Loba's words- but darn it, he couldn't deny that Loba's fangirling was adorable. With a smile, Oscar would happily answer Loba's question!

"Ha ha ha- yeah! She is! Kat is friendly, chill, confident, professional, and a very supportive friend. Meeting her and the other SWAT Cats was one of the best parts of my time in the Young Lions. My Girlfriend and her sister are due for a title match for the Cat's tag-team belt, and I even had a match against Tracy Cannon once. It was... uh... a match"

Oscar faintly blushed a little, thinking back to how his match went with Tracy in the end before shaking his head- turning his focus to Loba as their food and drinks came out to their table!

"Y'know- when I say it out loud... I realize a good chunk of my favorite wrestlers and people are all Luchadoras! Present company included. Kinda funny how that turns out, huh? Hehe... "

Oscar would take a sip of his drink before helping himself to a bite of the extra beef nachos.

"I'd like to fight all the members of the SWAT Cats someday... and hey, I can see about putting in a good word for you too. Kat's always happy to meet a fan- and I think she'd love to meet you herself. What do you think of that?"

[Bare]

Loba had definitely began to fan girl a bit when Oscar mentioned Kat, that name acting like a trigger of sorts that made Loba's already heightened excitement levels shoot up even higher as she nodded along with what Oscar said as he answered his questions.

Giving her first hand insight into Kat Hart as a person which practically made her giddy in response. Heck not even the fact that it was just Kat but the rest of the cats too!

"Man that's so cool. I always knew she was the best." Loba said happily before blushing slightly as Oscar mentioned offhandedly that most of his favorite people, herself included were some of his favorite people in general.

"Hehe, well yeah Luchadoras are the best in general!" She said proudly with a big smile before her eyes snapped open at Oscar saying he could put in a good word for her and potentially introducing the two.

"Oh my gosh you don't have too but if you wouldn't mind I'd really appreciate it! Kat is like, my DREAM match!" Loba said with a almost wonder struck look on her face.

"Consider it done then! After this I'll shoot Kat a message and tell her all about you! It's no problem, really. It's the least I can do to show my respect to a worthy opponent. Knowing her, I think Kat would be more than down to make that dream come true for you- and I'm happy to play a part in making it happen"

Loba's star-struck look on her face brought a warm feeling into Oscar's chest, a smile spreading across his lips to accompany it. There was something immensely satisfying about making someone's dreams, even a wrestler as successful and seasoned as Loba, come true. Things like this were what he lived for... and part of the reason he got into Wrestling in the first place! Oscar felt truly happy that he'd be able to help Loba fulfill a dream and bring her joy after snatching a title from her- even if it was a well-fought match. As the saying goes- when one door closes, another one opens.

"We share that in common, y'know. One of my biggest idols is a Luchadora too- though she doesn't fight in LAW, rather from a different company in the States. I had a dream match with her too back in my young lion days as part of a world tour she was doing... hehe, nothing beats the thrill of fighting someone you've looked up to or idolized after admiring them from a distance for so long. I hope it works out for you, Loba. I honestly do"

Loba was feeling practically giddy right now. Going out and having fun with Oscar after such an intense and hard hitting match was good enough on its own, but for him to then offer setting up a meeting between herself and one of her idols that could lead to a match? It was enough to practically make her burst in excitement.

"Eeeeey! Oscar you have no idea how much that means to me thank you!" Loba said with pure excitement in her voice while giving a pump of her fists. Shortly after though Oscar would mention that they shared having a luchadora idol in common.

"Oh?" Loba asked in curiosity as he elaborated a bit further on what he meant. "Really? wow I had no idea. What was her name maybe I've heard of her too!" Loba asked in curiosity very much eager to learn more about her fellow red head.

"It's no problem at all, Loba! It's my pleasure to help out"

Oscar beamed at Lobba, chuckling softly at how excited she was about meeting Katherine. It almost made Oscar consider seeing if he could tag along with them too- but was interrupted by Loba inquiring about his idol. Oscar's smile turned softer- not matching Loba's energy, but rather felt a wave of joy and happiness wash over him as he delved into thought about who he idolized.

"Her name's Ulla De Milo. She's a Brazilian high-flying wrestler that fights in a place called Leviathan Inc. Since all fighters in Leviathan usually get a codename and run a theme tied to either mythology or the ocean, she goes by The Harpy. The name sounds intimidating- but trust me. She's one of the sweetest, kindest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. She indpired me with how positive she is- always bouncing back after a setback with a smile even after a difficult start in Leviathan led to her getting demoted to their trainee league. She showed me that you didn't have to be a brute or aggressive to make it big as a wrestler as she worked her way back onto the main roster- and I owe a good chunk of my career to her, actually"

Oscar sighed happily as he thought of his happy-go-lucky bird buddy. Oscar did like it in LAW- but he couldn't deny that he dearly missed Ulla.

"Ulla did a world tour a few years back and made a stop here in LAW. To my surprise, I was selected to be her opponent- even though I was still in the young lions. We put on a hell of a show and I BARELY managed to get a win out when we fell out of the ring. It was a second away from being a draw. Ulla seemed pretty heartbroken with the result... but we talked after. I cheered her up and she wound up putting in a recommendation to bring me into Leviathan- which itself was a dream come true"

By the end of the story, Oscar was smiling brighter and there was a soft blush in his cheeks.

"Leviathan has done wonders for my career- and Ulla... she's practically my best friend over there. At this point, honestly, she feels like a sister to me. When you meet with Kat- I hope you two can become the best of friends too, Loba. I mean that"

To say that Loba was enjoying her time with Oscar was an understatement for sure. He was just so mellow and kind that it was hard not too enjoy herself. Then the fact he was going to help set her up with one of her idols and favorite wrestler in LAW Kat Hart? Well that right there made him one of her favorite people ever as far as she was concerned. As such she was trying to be just as approachable with his past, as he was with her own.

So she listened carefully, despite the giddy excitement still coursing throughout her body as he explained his own match with an idol of his own named Ulla De Mayo. "Oh yeah I have heard of her, though only in passing hehe." Loba said with a smile before listening to the rest of what Oscar said with an interested expression. "Ohhhh I've heard of Leviathan just never really seen a lot. But she must have really been cool to rise up through all that and then have the pull to help get you in. Honestly just seems like a really great person in general." Loba said with a smile.

"She's all of those things and more! Ulla's always doing stuff to keep people's spirits high. Nothing makes that woman happier than putting a smile on people's faces. I think that's why we get along so well- we have that trait in common. Plus, I think Ulla appreciates the stuff I do for her too- like learning some Portuguese to help break the language barrier since her English isn't the best and she sometimes has trouble with it. She's always doing things for others, but not a lot return the favor, y'know? She's one of the most important people in my life- and it's awesome to know that she thinks I give the best hugs"

Oscar snickered a little at the end of his last sentence, that warm smile still on his face as he wrapped up speaking about Ulla. Oscar's focus shifted as he dug into a bag he had on him and took a tablet out.

"Truth be told- I also wanted to talk some business with you. I know, I know, we're here to have fun- but trust me! I think you'll want to hear this. See- the thing about Leviathan is that I signed a contract with them to be traveling talent. LAW has its ups and all, but I doubt LAW would ever let a male fighter sign any contracts. Not that I hold that against them- I'm aware how their focus is primarily on the ladies. My point is, that as Leviathan's traveling talent, I have the privilege to extend the same offer to people I meet and fight against- like you, Loba"

Oscar placed the tablet on the table and slid it over to Loba- turning the screen on to show the Leviathan Inc. logo to Loba before a digital contract appeared on screen.

"I can see you going far in LAW- that much I'm sure of after our match. But why stop there? Have you ever thought of branching out? You'd be an excellent addition to the Leviathan roster with your theming, natural charm, and skill. I can see someone like you being VERY popular in Leviathan. Heck- I can already see a perfect codename you could have! With that wolf mask you have- the one with the fangs? I think you'd make for an excellent Chupacabra!"

Oscar raised his hands and made two L-shapes with his pointing finger and thumb, turning them sideways and together to make a frame. The barbarian prince would look through this frame, focusing on capturing Loba's head while he pictured Loba with her mask on.

"Of course- there's no pressure to accept. I promise- I didn't buy you drinks and nachos to butter you up. Honest! I just think... well, you're AMAZING, Loba! Both as a person and as a wrestler. I haven't met a fighter like you in a long time, and I'd love to help further your career if possible. Best of all, you can keep fighting in LAW too! Leviathan management is very flexible with making sure its talent is happy and has plenty of opportunities. Speaking from experience, you can have the best of both worlds with this deal. So, what do you think?"

Sitting back and listening to Oscar as he talked about Ulla she couldn't help but laugh softly at how Oscar described her. Less like a legendary wrestler and more like a big sister. Not that she couldn't be both, but she just found it rather cute and wholesome. "I get that. It's why I always try to return the kindness people offer me." Loba mentioned when Oscar said that her doing things for others wasn't always returned which she definitely felt.

Though when Oscar mentioned some business she would raise an eye brow and look curiously as he took out an ipad and slid it across the table towards her showing a logo that looked vaguely familiar, which given the letter she could only assume was for this Leviathan that Oscar said he completed for. Looking back up at him she'd listen to his offer. Saying that he completed for both LAW and this place, and he wanted to offer a similar deal to her.

"Oooh wow. Thank you offer that means so much you think of me like that!" Loba said looking down at the iPad before back at him with a slightly pensive look.

"You say best of both worlds so like, it'd be all good for me to sign with both companies right? Like there'd be no issues? Or at least you haven't had any issues with this set up yourself have you? Cause I'm definitely interested, I just wanna make sure it won't turn into like a ugly situation." Loba asked curiously, obviously knowing how he felt about her ability to do it, but curious as to how well he thought it could actually be executed.

"Oh yeah! You should be all good to sign with both companies- no problems whatsoever"

Oscar nodded his head to Loba as she expressed some concerns about signing with Leviathan. A fair concern, to be fair. Getting tangled in clauses and legal stuff with major contracts sounded like a headache Oscar wouldn't want to wish on his worst enemy.

"If you're concerned, Leviathan does have the option to sign on as a sponsored fighter! You won't be considered a full member and won't get the benefits of one like free housing, free food, an excellent health coverage package, or a codename, but you can still participate in matches and get opportunities to compete for belts like any other. I mean... if I had to be honest, I've had some other fighters here in LAW voice their... criticism about it at times since I had to answer to their call and head out of LAW for a period of time- but as far as contract and company issues go, it's been all clean and good. No complaints from management or anything like that. You'd actually be surprised of the number of Leviathan fighters who are still in LAW- or at least, fought here in LAW and found their way into Leviathan. The two companies are more connected then you'd think"

Having raised her concerns to Oscar about dual contracts Loba would wait and listen to the man as he explained that there would be no messy legal issues with it and that generally LAW management at least was fine with it and wouldn't be punishing her for it, and even presenting a possible alternative to her. Now Loba wasn't sure which she'd go for, but she definitely did think that he answered her question! "I see! In that case then I think I know what to do!" Loba said, taking full hold of the iPad and drawing her finger in the signing box to write her name in before passing it back over to Oscar, a bright smile on her face as she did so.
