To The Bitter End: Kyo Akamatsu vs Mary Clarison

Kyo's spine jarred somewhat from where it had impacted from the turnbuckle. He had been forced to release Mary as a result, and as a result Mary was up and moving again. Very smart of his opponent, Kyo noted: stay mobile, stay on the attack, don't give him time to recover. Mary was quickly showing that she was a highly intelligent opponent, one that he would have to try really hard to keep up with.

He half expected her to grab his arm and whip him across the ring. Instead, however, she grabbed for his leg: the next thing Kyo knew, Mary dropped low, flipping him hard to the mat and painfully twisting his leg in a dragons screw whip! "Aaagh!" Kyo gasped as pain shot up his knee joint; he rolled away, trying to put some space.

Mary was trying to limit his mobility, he knew. Also a very smart move. He was now seeing why this diminutive English bluenette had the fearsome reputation that she did...

Mary knew she could not let Kyo get much of any time to rest after the Dragon Screw, she needed to make sure the damage was compounded, and the sooner she could take out Kyo’s legs and his weight and power advantage will make this match easier.

Seeing Kyo trying to get away from Mary, Mary knew she had to make a quick dash with her usually slow speed, attempting to quickly snatch Kyo’s leg.

If she managed to, Mary would then attempt to wrap her legs around Kyo’s legs, before dropping onto her back and locking Kyo in a Figure Four Leglock, really trying to wear the man’s legs down.

Kyo hissed as pain now shot up his knee. He tried to roll, to put some distance between himself and Mary to allow himself time to recover. Mary, however, proved herself an intelligent fighter, and followed up to prevent Kyo from getting any relief. In an instant, Mary grabbed at his leg and Kyo braced himself, expecting her to do something like kick at his already hurting leg.

Instead, Mary dropped onto her butt, painfully intertwining their legs as she locked in the first real submission hold of the match! Kyo gasped, instinctively sitting forward as sharp pain shot through his knees and thighs! Mary had the hold expertly applied, and it was all Kyo could do to bite back a cry of pain.

"That's...a good one..." Kyo hissed through clenched teeth, complimenting his foe. "But you don't...have me yet." And with that, Kyo would dig his elbows into the mat and rolled his body over, hoping to get them both on their fronts and painfully reverse the hold on Mary!

Mary was extremely smart when it came to breaking down the opponent, no matter how much of a physical advantage they had compared to her, she knew exactly what limbs to target at what times, and right now those limbs were Kyo’s legs.

Mary had the figure four leglock on tight, but that was before Kyo started turning, and Mary’s lack of body strength became her downfall as she rather easily got turned around onto her stomach, now being on the receiving end of the pain.

“AAAH!” Mary screamed, before attempting to untangle her legs from Kyo’s grasp, since she was able to lock it in, she should be able to untighten the grip and force Kyo to let go.

Mary had committed the one fatal mistake of going for a figure four leg lock: using it on someone bigger and heavier than her. Obviously, it had hurt, at first, but Kyo had been able to power through and roll the two of them over, forcing the British Bluenette start crying out in pain. Fortunately for Mary, at least, Kyo couldn't reliably lock in the hold while lying on his front, and so Mary was able to slip free and roll away.

Rather than chase after her, Kyo rolled to his feet, as around them, the crowd clapped as this smoothed exchange of submission holds and counters. "Care to go again?" Kyo asked, motioning for Mary to stand as he courteously gave his foe time to recover.

Mary being an expert at how submission holds worked kept her from having to endure too much pain right now, as she managed to force her legs free from Kyo’s tight grasp. Mary then took a deep breath.

Mary would then use her palms to push herself up to her feet, her legs feeling a little shaky from the submission hold. Mary knew that submission holds, especially towards Kyo’s legs seemed to work.

“Yes.” Mary said with a small nod, as she had a bit more confidence then she had at the beginning of the match. Mary would then approach Kyo.

Before Mary would go for a Double Leg Takedown, hoping to knock Kyo off his feet and put herself in an advantageous position, one where size would not be the deciding factor.

Mary was proving to be every bit as skilled as her reputation suggested, Kyo thought to himself as he allowed the British girl to stand. The size difference meant absolutely nothing. Around them, the crowd clapped, not only at this display of sportsmanship, but at the back and forth skill these two wrestlers were displaying.

And then, in the blink of an eye, Mary was rushing forward, grabbing around Kyo's legs. He gasped, as suddenly his boots were yanked out from under him and he went crashing onto his butt. Cursing, he leaned up and tried to grab for the back of Mary's both hands, before shifting his weight, trying to flip them over so that Mary was on her back and he was straddling her waist...

Mary’s pursuit yielded quick rewards, and her strategy managed to work as her takedown managed to take down Kyo and put her opponent right on his rear end. She knew she would probably have to get him in a submission and fast.

That was before Kyo near instantly was trying to turn things around. “HUH?!” Mary yelped as her hands were immediately grabbed before she was flipped over right on her back.

And right now, Mary was in the disadvantageous position, as Kyo was right on top of her and she could not move, and could only wait for whatever Kyo would do next.

After grabbing the back of Mary's head, Kyo managed to flip the two of them over, so that now he was sitting astride her chest, his knees pinning her shoulders down. He was in a perfect position to wrap her up for a pinfall...if this was a match that scored by pinfalls. But unfortunately, he still had to make her tap out.

Without wasting any time, Kyo grabbed for one of Mary's wrists, before falling onto his side, trying to latch his legs around her arm to trap it neatly in an armbar! He was conscious that they weren't too far from the ropes, but all the same, he tried to ratchet up the pressure on Mary's arm, to see how close he could bring her to tapping out before she escaped or reversed somehow...

Mary knew she was completely trapped at this point, there was no place where she could move, Kyo had a free action to do basically whatever he wanted. Mary would just have to see what he does.

Mary saw what Kyo was doing, when she had her wrist grabbed, and then Kyo dropped to her side and she was locked on an armbar. “AAAH!” She yelped from the initial surge of pain.

Mary in an attempt to free herself, attempted to squirm her arm from Kyo’s grip, hoping that her arm could squeeze through the hold Kyo was putting her through.
