Raquel Masters vs Miss Polendina

Double or Nothing Tourney Opening Round Match
Victory to be awarded via Pinfall, Submission, Knockout, Disqualification, or Ring Out (going over the top rope with both feet hitting the floor). The winner of the match will advance to take on Catherine Celestial in Round 2. The loser of the match will compete in the loser's bracket.

Raquel was determined to show up and win this tournament. She had stalled out since her lightweight title shot a couple years ago. She lost in Apex. She was not about to lose here and just be someone's speedbump to glory.

Clad in her punk and turquoise ring attire she came out and looked pumped pumas she skipped her way down to the ring. Raquel was focused and ready as she jumped up onto the apron then over the ropes to enter the ring. She swayed her hips before slapping her own backside, winking to the crowd before settling into her corner awaiting her opponents arrival in the ring.

Penny was behind the curtains before her entrance starts. She was feeling nervous because she never thought herself to come this far, and she still thinks that it is a sort of dream. But to calm and relax, she sighs and looks straight up, thinking about doing her best, as always. All of that while Raquel was performing her own entrance.


After it finished, Penny keeps thinking that this isn't a common match like the ones she had, a fact that makes her more focused than ever, not letting fear and nerves to interrupt her mind. This is something special, and is aware that a little mistake could turn into a big problem...

Few minutes later, Penny's theme song starts playing with the usual green fireworks bursting on the top of the ramp, while the fans cheer for her. A smoke curtain appears, and through that, Penny shows up to the fans, hearing the cheers from the fans around. Of course, the Maiden does her 'Salutations!' gesture to pose, with a hand ahead of the forehead and the other on the left hip. Later, Penny starts walking towards the ring while doing some high-five to some fans, spreading her friendly and cheerful aura before going to the ring.

She ends her walk over the ramp and steps on the ringside floor. As first, Penny looks at Raquel from the outside, then looks at the fans while getting cheered, a thing that makes her focused straight on this match and who her opponent is. Later, Penny jumps up to the apron with one knee down over it, then stands up on both feet and enters to the ring, by passing over the second rope.

Inside, Penny turns around and climbs up to the second rope of the corner to do her 'Salutations'!' gesture again, then she jumps off, landing on both legs as turning around in the land, then she stands on the same corner, looking at Raquel until her entrance ends.

Raquel saw Penny come out and kept her eyes on her. She did greet Raquel, and Raquel was happy that she was matched up with someone who would wrestle clean which was a nice reassurance. "Hey. I know you are bigger but that doesn't mean you can take me lightly and expect to win." Raquel said as she stepped out flexing her biceps, showing her impressive figure especially given her lightweight size.

As the bell rang Raquel waste no time in circling around Penny before lunging in and leaping, trying to aim a dropkick right at her face to open up favorably! Raquel knew she had to go hard, go fast and never let up. She was here to prove a point and not look like some enhancement talent chump. She wasn't going to ever live that down if she did as poorly here as she did in Apex. She couldn't let that happen.

"Let's see how much you can handle." Penny said in response to Raquel while pointing at her with the main finger until the bell rang. Penny put her arm down and gets into a stance, but she gets surprised with that dropkick, as both legs hitting on her chest.

Penny felt both of those on that spot and staggered back to the ropes, letting out few grunts of pain while looking at Raquel. Later, Penny goes towards her and attacks with a few forearm strikes on her cheek!

Raquel landed a solid hit and got back to her feet but she was shocked as Pelendina came right back swinging away with forearms at her head! "Oomph! Ugh!" Raquel groaned as she staggered back raising her arms up to defend herself. Her arms were blocking but that again left her legs free as she swung mid-kicks into the abdomen of Polendina to try to get the bigger woman to back off hopefully on the defensive!

Penny was succeeding with the strikes given to Raquel on the cheek, and was going for another one but the mid-kicks to her abdomen were faster for her. As she didn't expect or saw coming that, Penny is forced to stagger back to the center of the ring, grunting in pain and holding her abdomen in front of Raquel.

Raquel isn't about to waste time as she wants to get rolling against the middleweight woman. Raquel runs forward as Polendina holds her abdomen. Raquel leaps and jumps upward to wrap her legs around Polendina's head while clamping them together trying to lean back to send Polendina to the mat with a hurricanrana! Raquel knows she has to establish herself early or all is lost!

Penny was still holding her stomach after Raquel gave some mid-kicks in that area, then she looks back at her but what sees next is that Raquel jumped up to her shoulders, with both legs around her head... a dangerous move from which she couldn't react on time to counter...

And Polendina is thrown by Raquel, from the ring to the air, and from the air to the mat, crashing her back against the mat in that rough fall, making a soft thud after receiving the Hurricanrana.

This was a best case scenario for Raquel. She was trying to really get going and establish herself early. She needed this tournament to go well for her career. Another failed attempt like Apex and she may very well be heading home. The speedy Raquel jumped up to her feet seeing Polendina down on her back. She had a shot to go for something big that would really put a nail in the coffin...

Raquel ran to the corner and jumped up to the top rope in a single leap, perching atop facing the crowd. She turned behind her to make sure that Polendina was still where she was and then Raquel leaped back, sailing through the air and attempting to come crashing down on top of her opponent with a top rope moonsault!
