Main Event: "Super Kitty" Katherine Hart vs Melody Serperior - Melody Retires?

In the heat of the moment, even Melody forgot that the ropes wouldn't save Kat. So focused she was on knocking the Super Kitty out that the only thing on her mind was a silent plea to her foe:

"Gotosleepgotosleepgotosleep..."

That thought was there as the ref checked on Kat, lifting her arm up for the second time as the crowd held their breath to see whether Melody actually managed to topple the Super Kitty...

The hand fell down for the second time, the ref declaring a loud: "TWOOOO!!!"

As the ref grabbed the Super Kitty's hand, seemingly for the last time, a new thought crossed the greenette's mind:

"Is...this...it?"

And as if answering her outloud, Kat would not let her hand fall all the way down, the crowd exploding in cheers as Melody's faced grimaced in anger!

As Melody was about to think a lot of angry thoughts, Kat would suddenly roll sideways, taking Melody with her as she rolled the greenette onto her shoulders for a sudden pin!

"ONE!"

"TWO"

"NO!"

"GRAAAAAGH!!!"

Releasing the hold, Melody would shout in anger as she pushed her body up, lifting herself and Kat to break the pin!

To Kat, Melody always seemed like the cool and composed one compared to Navi. The one who was more capable of compassion and care. Which is what made it all the more jarring and all the more difficult for The Super Kitty to work through this rivalry emotionally and physically! At one point in time, Kat thought that she and Serperior clear the air and start anew, and now Melody was doing everything in her power to choke Kat Hart out in the middle of the ring like her very career and livelihood depended on it! Because by her own designs and intentions, it very much did!

"Ngh!" The luchadora grunted with effort as she countered the hold into a pin! Kat grit her teeth and bridged backward, flexing her arms and her one free leg with her palms and the toe of her boot against the mat as she tried to keep the greenette down for 3 counts!

The fans clamored at the thought of Kat snatching victory from the jaws of defeat here! But just after the referee slapped the mat a second time, Melody broke the pin! If she could escape her rival's grip, Kat would roll off to the side to seek refuge by the ropes. The SWAT Cat held the bottom rope with one hand and her own throat with the other. She winced as she breathed in deep to try and reclaim some of the oxygen that Serperior had choked out of her! But her brief respite here would be interrupted by an impassioned, frustrated yell from the greenette! Still needing time to recover from Melody channeling her best friend by using Navi's finisher, The SWAT Cat would barely have time to get up to one knee before Serperior no doubt came at her again with more venomous words and even more venomous physicality! Much to the dismay of Kat and the many Super Kitty fans all over the arena!

As Melody kicked out, Kat rolled off to safety, with the very angry greenette left to her own devices, rising as she glared at the Super Kitty with the silent fury of a woman fighting for her career. Despite Kat needing to recover from Melody's STF, the greenette was not tired, not even after subjecting Kat to the hold for a very solid minute. And the only wish she had at this moment in time was to defeat the Luchadora!

Melody dashed towards Kat, jumping into the air, looking to jump as she aimed her feet straight for Kat's body as she tried to dropkick the Super Kitty out of the ring, trying to bring the fight to the outside!

Kat may have found an answer to Melody's hold in the heat of the moment, but Serperior wasn't about to let up! Kat caught he breath by the ropes. With one hand on her knee and the other on the middle rope, The Super Kitty was hunched over and breathing heavily!

Still worn out and reeling, The Super Kitty was a sitting duck! She raised her head just in time to see Melody barreling towards her with a full head of steam! Kat straightened up and took a dropkick to the chest for her troubles! A jeer from the fans served as the background noise the impact of the greenette's kick to send her over the top ropes and spilling to the outside!

Fans let out noises of concern for Kat and boos for Melody as Serperior continued taking it to Kat like a woman on a mission!

Melody was not going to let any advantage she had against Kat slip, not even for a second! Once she dropkicked the Super Kitty out of the ring, the greenette would swiftly kip up to her feet. At the moment, she felt no fatigue. In a very short time, likely at the worst possible one, Melody was going to run out of adrenaline, and the fatigue would hit her like a truck...

...but right now, she ran like hell towards the ropes opposite to the side where Kat was standing up to her feet at, the jeers for the greenette steadily rising to become interested noises in what Melody had in mind...

...as the greenette rushed the ropes, jumping over them to launch herself at the Super Kitty, planning to take her down with a Dive to the outside!

Melody was wrestling not just with conviction, but with a vindictive streak! She cast caution and the idea of pacing herself to the wind! The greenette gave Kat no rest and no quarter! By the time The Super Kitty was on her feet at ringside, the greenette had already jumped over the ropes!

"GAH!" Hart would groan when Melody came down on her with a huge dive to the outside!

Kat would go down in a heap! Her brawny, statuesque blonde's toned form broke Serperior's fall, much to the crowd's dismay! Even after everything she had been put through, Kat still hadn't been fighting Melody with her full resolve! Her face contorted with pain and clear conflicting emotions as she turned over onto her front and pulled herself up by using the steel steps by the ringpost!

Melody's dive was perfect. More than perfect. As she dove at Kat, the Super Kitty would break the greenette's fault, allowing her to correct her form in midair, landing perfectly on her feet while the heavyweight collapsed into a heap! Melody, excited about the perfect move execution. And although some members of the crowd cheered the move...the majority rained jeers and boos at Melody for beating up the Super Kitty. Melody's own excitement died quickly because of it, trying to not let the crowd get to her, the greenette wiping her face with her hand, as she tried to focus back on the Super Kitty, as she tried to use ring steps to get back to her feet...

...with Melody getting a violent idea on her mind.

Rushing to the rising Super Kitty, the greenette would launch herself at Kat, jumping and aiming her feet at her body to drive her into the steel steps she used as a support to help her back to her feet!

Kat had been wrestling with ambivalence - with her emotions just as much as she had been wrestling Serperior and it showed. The greenette was hardly an opponent anyone could hope to stand toe to toe with while distracted or uncommitted. Even while Melody was in her slump, she was a credible threat to her opponents. Now that she was firing on all cylinders? Even the likes of Kat Hart couldn't hope to keep up when she wasn't giving it 100 percent!

Melody was gonna keep coming. Her green eyes were filled with bad intentions. Her body language and the air about her channeling her sadistic, single-minded desire to dismantle The Super Kitty on as big a stage as she could....before presumably going on to unleash that same wrath on the rest of The LAW Roster! As Melody trained her gaze on a reeling Kat, posted up by the steel steps, the boos grew that much louder! Serperior broke out into a run! She descended onto Kat with both feet! And when she did, Kat's eyes flashed with urgency and instinct!

"Hup!" The luchadora grunted!

With one foot planted against the ringside floor and one hand on the steel steps, The Super Kitty hopped up onto the top of the steel steps to avoid being sandwiched between her rival's wicked kick and the unforgiving steel!

The sound of Melody's dropkick-style strike colliding with the steel steps echoing out was only topped by the sounds of concern from the fans in the front row! And soon those sounds would grow louder!

With her balance secured on the top of the steps and her own steely-eyed gaze trained on the greenette, Kat got her head in the game, even if only for a moment! She measured Melody and waited for the aggro greenette to pull herself up from the floor from her double-footed kick, and into something of a seated position! And when she did, Kat would leap and descend upon Serperior with both knees to the face to hit a stunning Meteora off the steel steps!

Melody was in pure survival mode, single-mindedly looking to destroy Kat to keep her place in wrestling, to prove to herself she still belonged. She rushed towards the hurting Super Kitty, aiming a dropkick into Kat's body, to make it slam into the steps behind her!

But right as Melody jumped, committing to the move, Kat would live up to her name...and with a single, agile motion jump on top of the steel steps, Melody landing on her rear as her dropkick missed, impacting the steel steps!

"Crap..."

Melody would try to pick herself up, sitting up...only for the Super Kitty to jump at her, aiming her knees for her head!

"FU---AAAAAAAAGH!!!"

Melody's head impacted the barely padded mats of the ringside, her head brutally sandwiched between the Heavyweight's knees and the floor!

The Meteora connected, and Kat rolled forward before popping up to her feet! The crowd cheered The Super Kitty for finally starting to turn the tables. She stretched and rolled her shoulders. Melody was certainly no one to shrug off in the ring. She was a career rival. A woman who spent the better part of the time they've interacted with each other covering for her best friend's treachery. And now, Melody used Kat as some kind of test to prove she could still hang with all the other talent at LAW in the modern day. She staked her career on it! And that was never going to sit well with Kat Hart!

"I'm tired of this....I'm tired of you!" Kat bent down and cupped her hand beneath the grenette's chin, lifting the girl's face and forcing eye contact!

"Come here!" Hart snapped at the girl!

If Kat got her way, she would pull Melody up by her head and arm. The luchadora would climb the steel steps, dragging Melody along in a Front Facelock! Kat would look to pull Serperior up the steps one by one! And if they made it to the top, the legendary luchadora would pull the middleweight's green-haired head between her mighty thighs and look up, hoist the girl into an upside-down position for her Sheer Hart Attack finisher! A Gotch Style Piledriver right on top of the steel steps!
