Sanae Saitou vs Kennedy Lee — Standard Match

Lyra shot a conflicted look over at Sanae’s prone body and a little twinge of guilt crossed her eyes. She wanted to run in and help, but she was too fearful if she interrupted anything. Lyra knew she was pushing things getting the faction involved in her own personal whims, but she convinced herself that this would be a way to help Sanae and keep her safe. Maybe she could try and convince Sanae of that later on. The referee called the bell and upon that, the lights went black once more and like clockwork, they returned to brightness as the crowd gasped seeing The Selection were long gone.

Kennedy rolled off Sanae grabbing her back and holding her throat. She just rolled her way out of the ring and laid barren on the padded floors. Kennedy just wanted to get back home. Go back to California. She needed to get Haleigh, Sara, and Emily out of Japan at once and that is what drove her to get back to her feet wobbling to the ramp and up it. She threw a glare back at Sanae and screamed: “You’re suspended! No pay! You’re out of here!”

When the lights went out and came back on, the Selection had vanished just as quickly as they had appeared. Their work was done, after all. But Sanae was hardly in any shape to even acknowledge what had happened. All she did was lie on the floor where she'd fallen, groaning, her head throbbing; her chest rose and fell slowly as she tried to draw the air back into her lungs after Kennedy had all but crushed it out of her. But when she heard what Kennedy said to her, that did stir her back to her senses.

At once, Sanae sat back up straight - and her jaw fell open in a gasp! Kennedy had imposed plenty of rules on this match, but never had she insinuated that Sanae would be fired if she lost - until now! The color began to drain away from the green-haired girl's face; for a moment she sat there staring straight through her foe. It seemed unthinkable that Kennedy would even have the audacity to do something like this - especially when she hadn't even won on her own merits! But she was still going to make that threat - she wouldn't let Sanae go without one last blow to her good name!

"WHAT!?" Sanae gasped. Then, she shook her head, jumping to her feet. She still winced from the pain pounding through her head - but she wouldn't dare back down from something like this! "No!! You can't just...you can't just tell me that! You don't have the right! I'm not leaving!" Kennedy had definitely tried to stretch her authority far on this match. But this was a step too far for Sanae! She wouldn't take that lying down!

Kennedy didn’t have time to argue and she was mostly just pissed that her moment of victory had really just been handed to her. She didn’t need those freaks helping her or even helping Sanae try to win this. She was so close to beating this pathetic idol. So close Kennedy salivated at the thought of it, but now, her thoughts turned to her family. Kennedy clenched a fist and just walked back up the ramp holding her head before turning to the idol. “If my fiancées or my daughter get accosted by your girlfriend, you’re fucking dead the next time I see you. That ain’t a threat, Sanae, that’s a fucking promise!” Kennedy shouted her threat with the most venom she could muster.

This couldn't be happening. This was an outrage! Sanae had only been trying to stand up for herself - to show that she wasn't going to allow herself to be pushed around like this - and yet, Kennedy was trying to exert whatever clout she had as a celebrity to get her thrown out of the promotion. And not even for anything she did, either. It was all the Selection's fault - if Lyra hadn't intruded in this match, Sanae thought, none of this would have happened! She might have been grateful to have her girlfriend's help earlier, but now that had been forgotten. All the Selection had done was made things infinitely worse.

"That's...no-!!" Balling her fists tighter with an anger uncharacteristic for her, Sanae stomped her foot against the floor. "You don't get it! This wasn't my idea at all - she just jumped in! I didn't want it! Let alone...let alone them!" she added, wincing at the mere thought of the Selection being involved. "You can't do this to me over...over that!"

It wasn't often that a cheerful, friendly girl like Sanae could get this heated - but Kennedy was pushing her to the brink. As she stormed forward, Haleigh and Sara ducked behind Kennedy, watching the idol with a wary eye. But Sanae wouldn't accept this being done to her! Her patience was being stretched as far as it could, and it just might snap.

Kennedy was pissed beyond belief and she was letting Sanae hear it. Whether Sanae had any affiliation not known to the Selection was not her concern…those freaks were seeing every reason out of the book to get involved and that put her family in danger. Haleigh and Sara had come from backstage pulling at Kennedy’s arms telling her silently it wasn’t worth the trouble putting up with Sanae. Kennedy tried arguing with them and barked orders to get the cameras out of their private business. Kennedy was heated and Sara hugged her trying to deter her back as Kennedy seemed to see the bigger picture and she stormed backstage with her fiancées going straight to the parking lot to head to the hotel, pack up, and then straight to the airport. Kennedy was done with Japan for the meanwhile.

Above all else, Sanae needed her voice to be heard - no one had any right to be treating her this way. Even if Kennedy did have clout as a media personality, so what? Sanae did too! And that was no excuse to act like she was above the officials, promoters, and athletic commissions arranging this event! But what infuriated the green-haired girl most of all was that Kennedy wouldn't even let her have that. Even when Sanae demanded to give her a piece of her mind, Kennedy just turned and walked out of the arena with Haleigh and Sara at her side, not even bothering to give Sanae the time of day.

At that, the idol's jaw dropped in a gasp. She stared wide-eyed and blank-faced at the exit for a moment, but then, as the shock passed through her system, it soon gave way to another emotion - pure, unbridled rage! It wasn't often that Sanae let things rattle her this much, but Kennedy was treating her like she didn't even exist - acting like she was so far above her, nothing out of Sanae's mouth would matter! Her eyelid twitched, her fists balled at her sides, and she stomped her foot on the floor. No - this couldn't stand!

"COME BACK HERE-!!" Sanae belted out, rushing out of the ring and springing over the ropes. But Kennedy had already made her leave. As Sanae's feet touched down on the floor, security closed in around her, forming a wall and preventing her from moving any further. Hissing and gnashing her teeth, she tried to strike and push at them to try and wriggle through, throwing herself again and again against their bodies, but it was no use. "No-! Stop! Get back! Don't you see? I can't let her treat me this way! I can't!" A few of the fans had even begun to boo the guards for denying Sanae the retribution she was after. But none of them so much as flinched - they just hauled the still-struggling girl out toward the exit, clearing the way for the next match.
