Ryota had been going back and forth on this the whole match, still determining where she would land. While she wasn’t typically a wishy-washy person, it wasn’t the easiest thing to pin down with Madeline. She could go either way, didn’t favor either side. But now, as these taut thighs clamped around her arms and threatened to dislocate them amidst a floral pattern, she’d conclude.
She hated Madeline Christiansen. Not just sheer annoyance anymore. Outright hate.
Being caught in any hold by this woman would’ve been an embarrassing affair, but this hold in particular was mortifying. Her opponent rode her back like a horse as she slithered along the canvas, fighting for every inch towards the ropes. While the Briton wasn’t particularly heavy, it didn’t take much weight to be a nuisance in a position like this, even with Ryota’s overwhelming strength. The human body was simply not designed to move like this.
But she only had to endure a little longer, a little further. Almost there, and…
Madeline decided to drop the hold just as she was getting close to the ropes, instead slipping down her body and gripping her around the hips. Ryota’s first thought that was the twig was trying to pick her up with a suplex, and that was almost enough to bring a rare laugh out of her. What she actually went for was far less amusing, however.
Ryota squawked as Madeline’s butt came down on her face, planted firmly on her features as the woman went for a matchbook pin, mashing her glasses up against her face. It was a mortifying position, and the only thing slightly more distressing was the sound of the referee’s count nearby. ”2…!”
Ryota gritted her teeth down hard and put her all into exploding out of the pin, knocking her opponent away in the process. She flopped over to her chest and glared daggers towards Madeline, hissing through her teeth as she pushed her way up. ”You…dare…”

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
To think this would be the first time in this match where Madeline showed some real power. Much as she has the proven technique to carry her through a match, the English Rose’s wrestling was still an asset that can make her look like a beast in the ring. Granted, Madeline hasn’t had many opportunities to showcase it, mainly because the majority of her opponents have been heavyweights, but when she has opportunities presented to her, the brunette can really flaunt her strength.
To a casual viewer, not getting a wheelbarrow suplex might not warrant enough points, but when you add context, primarily after Ryota damn near squashed the Briton, it’s impressive that she got the Japanese woman high enough so that the following matchbook pin would carry some impact. Arms gripping on those tree trunks that are Ryota’s legs, her abs pressing upon the opponent’s, taut derriere nestling upon her face…
…Ah, Ryota still had her glasses on. Ouch.
Admittedly, Madeline wasn’t thinking too much about it. Her mind was focusing on securing the pin that she would eventually register the feeling of those glasses digging into her cheeks. Much as it was a rough experience for Ryota, having those spectacles damn near welding to the face, it made an uncomfortable seat for the Englishwoman. A nice throne, Ryota is not.
The temporary seat would reject Madeline, bucking her off before the third count came. Madeline rolled onto her front before rising to all fours. Well, one limb would reach behind to rub her buttocks. “It wasn’t a great experience for me, either.” She retorted, pushing her way up around the same time Ryota was as well. “Shouldn’t you be wearing contact lenses, anyway?”

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
Ryota was a little angry.
…okay, she was livid.
She had come to LAW looking for competition, real competition. Not this silly hentai stuff, not all this titillation. She had, perhaps naively, believed that she could avoid that nonsense and have serious matches here, to find her own niche and work within it. LAW was a big company, there had to be room genuine wrestlers here, and she took it as a challenge to make it that way if it weren’t so.
As such, she reasoned that she might have to deal with certain indignities. Certain issues. She had accepted that fact, and would deal with it. But getting her face sat on? No. Absolutely not.
She didn’t respond to anything the woman said. She barely even heard it. From behind her glasses, her eyes flared and her teeth gritted, as a seething rage took hold. No more holding back, no more trying to be a good sportswoman about things - if that was the way Madeline wanted to play thing, Ryota was going smash her.
She pushed up and came rushing forward, thundering across the ring like a runaway freight train. She moved in close and swung her arm at Madeline’s face, attempting to flatten her with a clubbing lariat to the face.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
They say a person’s eyes are the window to their soul. Though Madeline couldn’t see anything at throughout the opaque specs Ryota was wearing, there were other ways to see what they were feeling. Maybe it was the way her eyebrows raised and furrowed. It could be how her jaw clenched. It also can be Ryota baring her gritted teeth at the Englishwoman.
Either way, everyone could see that Ryota is pissed. And that is now Madeline’s problem.
Still, Madeline settled into her stance, knowing she would not get a response to her jovial question. At least, not verbally. Ryota would thunder down the ring like a runaway locomotive, barrelling her way towards the English Rose. The brunette braced herself, not quite moving just yet. If it was before the match had started, then she would have been wary of the Japanese Juggernaut’s rampage. She still feared the power she could generate. Especially now as there’s hate fuelling it this time. But the brunette wasn’t backing down either.
Once Ryota got towards the right distance, Madeline stepped in, ducking underneath the swinging club that was Ryota’s arm. One would think that Madeline was aiming for another grapple. However, she would swing her arm towards Ryota, aiming for a harsh chop towards her chest. The English Rose was never that type of wrestler. But a forearm chop wasn’t the worst move to have in your pocket.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
Ryota liked to think that she was a calm person. A reasonable person. Analytical, careful, thoughtful. It might’ve been a bit of a cliche with the glasses, but she wasn’t concerned about appearances. Having brains to back up her brawn served her well, time and again, and she was quite proud of that fact.
But not right now. No, right now, she was going to be every bit of the steam roller that people expected her to be. She was was going to run this woman over like a freight train.
Of course, Madeline had to go and ruin that notion by being something resembling competent, ducking out of the way as lariat came overhead, narrowly avoiding the blow. Ryota was quick to spin about on her heel, expecting retaliation to come her way while she was off-balance, and that was precisely what happened…just not in the form she’d expected.
A chop. Madeline chopped her.
Time froze for an instant as Ryota stood there, consumed by shock while the pain registered. It wasn’t just the attack itself, but the fact that Madeline had even deigned to try it on her, given their size difference. It wasn’t a poorly executed move or anything, far from it, but on her. On her?
Needless to say, it did nothing to quell the tempest. Ryota gritted her teeth to the point of pain, raised her arm, and proceeded to give Madeline a taste of her own medicine, jolting forward and hammering her with her own blazing chop to the chest.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
There’s definitely some madness in brilliance. Madeline at first wasn’t so sure why she went with a forearm chop. It wasn’t among the moves that she’d use a lot, which meant that she might not have the same effect as a seasoned pro, someone who would have nailed it down to a science.
It also didn’t seem like it had the intended effect on Ryota. Of course, the English Rose wasn’t conceited to believe that would befall the juggernaut, but she had hoped there would be a bit more. Then again, Madeline was essentially smacking against a tree or a wall. Expectations were low to begin with.
The Japanese woman looked stunned, and Madeline didn’t need to see Ryota’s eyes to figure that out. She just stood there, completely in shock. The Englishwoman was quick to know it wasn’t because of pain. It was the sheer audacity to even pick this kind of attack on her. The temerity. The omnipotent gall on this brunette to try something like that. If cartoons were real, Ryota would glow red with rage and steam coming from her ears. Though there’s always a chance in reality.
However, in reality, Ryota would suddenly jolt forward, her club of a forearm swinging to hammer the nail that is Madeline. No doubt if that was to hit, then Madeline would fly out of the ring, ass-over-teakettle and Ryota would have won by count out or knockout. Would be super disappointing for Ryota, but deserved with how ridiculously strong she is.
That was until Madeline again ducked down. The brief pause giving Madeline enough time to reset before that nuke came heading her way. And with the swinging blow clipping her hair, she sought to get to her side before heaving up the Japanese Juggernaut to her shoulders. Then, in one swift movement, the English Rose spun round, creating an added moment of inertia before attempting to land her favourite finisher: Petal Whirlwind.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
A chop. Just one chop, for now. It might not have been much, but Ryota had so much more in store for this woman, if she even got half a chance to give it to her. She usually had low patience for opponents like this, assuming she would be some kind of joke hentai wrestler from the start, but when Madeline had shown some grit and skill, she’d almost fooled herself into thinking the Briton was worth her time.
Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. She could still taste this woman’s butt on her face. The gall, the audacity…
She wanted to knock Madeline’s head off, and she very well might have…if she’d connected. Unfortunately, her foe proved as elusive as ever, ducking at the last moment and narrowly avoiding her just comeuppance. More aggravated than ever, Ryota drew back and prepared to give her another, harder blow, only for Madeline to beat her to the punch.
Ryota’s eyes widened as her opponent dipped down, pulled her over, and managed to lift her square off the ground, showing a shocking amount of power, the likes of which she would never have expected from her smaller foe. She didn’t know what the woman was trying to do, and she had no interest in finding out - right now, she just wanted to get down in one piece and turn the tables.
As she was being picked up, she swung her leg around and came down behind her foe, landing with her feet flat and arms wide. Ryota reached out, wrapped her arms around the smaller woman’s neck, and proceeded to clamp down tight, trying to squeeze the life out of her with her own finisher maneuver: the Sleeping Pill.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
It’s no surprise that Ryota doesn’t suffer fools gladly, something Madeline has since caught on, even early in the match. Sometimes, the Englishwoman could agree with the dislike of poor strategy. Poor strategy equates to not even trying, even if their hearts may be in it. And that also is a consequence of the match itself. If there’s anything that Madeline loathes, it’s a non-competitive bout.
Madeline’s surprised that a single chop set off Ryota. In truth, this has been boiling inside the Japanese woman for some time, an accumulation of acts that drawn her ire. However, this was the literal straw upon a camel’s back compared to anything else. It was pretty inconsequential, in the grand scheme of things, and Madeline felt as though she had hit a brick wall, not a woman.
But this brought an opportunity, one that Madeline would gladly take. The English Rose has had more than enough samples of Ryota’s power, and that chop would stop her heartbeat if it were to connect. Thankfully, she still has sense - and some strength left - to seize an opening and hoist the juggernaut upon her shoulders.
If only she had gotten to that part. It wouldn’t have been an issue, as Madeline has squatted heavier weights.
Say what you will about Ryota, with her being a behemoth of a woman, but she’s a bright behemoth at that. Slipping behind the Englishwoman, her arms even beating the wrestler-trained instincts of Madeline, Ryota’s arms clamped and constricted around that neck as tight as she could. Hate is one heck of a motivator, and Madeline could feel it, Ryota bringing all the power she could bear. Her hands instinctively grasped at the forearm and biceps cutting into the veins and arteries, but even she knew that it was a tall task to pry them away from her pretty neck.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
Madeline was going to sleep.
While there was a chance she might just tap out to this move, like most people did, Ryota had already decided that it wouldn’t matter, one way or another. Even if she got the win, she was not letting up on this hold until her foe was taking a nap in the middle of the ring, point blank, period. Taps were for people who hadn't royally pissed her off, so Madeline had lost that privilege.
Madeline, to her credit, wasn’t going down without a fight. Ryota had put this move onto all kinds of opponents before, but she couldn't recall any of them giving her quite this much of a fight, as the Briton went into a thrashing fit. Ryota clamped down even tighter and spread her feet giving her a solid base, anchoring them to the mat.
No escape. No running. This was over, and it was only a matter of whether Madeline’s brain would figure it out or not. Confident, she huffed, hunkered down, and waited for the inevitable.

Re: Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryota Ito - Exceeding Expectations
Fighting a choke differs from fighting something like an armbar. While either option can be dangerous, it depends on the person. Someone with a high pain tolerance could choose to fight out of an armbar, twisting out of it, and breaking free. With a choke, it’s only a matter of time before you lose air and slowly drift into unconsciousness.
So Madeline knew the danger she was in. It wasn’t so much a pair of boulders crushing the neck, but the surgical precision needed to place her arms around the neck to get that deep choke. The Englishwoman coughed and gurgled, stumbling around the ring before Ryota anchored herself and Madeline near the ropes. Unable to speak, much to Ryota’s probable delight. Not that Madeline wanted to talk. She was busy thinking fast before even that became an issue. The longer she stays in that hold, the more she’s at risk. And considering how pissed off Ryota is, at the moment…
Her legs kept to a crouch, fighting to hold on to consciousness before her mesmerising emerald eyes saw something. And then an idea came. It was a long shot, but it’s not like she has any better ideas.
Madeline shot up straight, using her feet to walk up the turnbuckle. Not enough to make a full flip over like a Shiranui, but enough to push off and force the two backwards. Madeline doubted that would be enough to break the grip Ryota had on her neck. But as she hopes to flip on top of her while she’s on her back, feet planted wide, there’s enough time for something else…
