Having brought Cheryl down onto the mat while she was still latched on her back, Misaki managed to get her to let go of her hold, and she took this opportunity to roll herself off of her body. Huffing and grunting, Misaki would get herself back up to her feet, grunting as she still felt the effect of Cheryl's hold on her body from earlier. Of course, she wasn't going to let this opportunity slip away from her fingers now that she managed to turn the table in her favor.

Bending down, Misaki would pull Cheryl back up to her feet, standing face-to-face with her. Then, she would reach between the cheerleader's legs as she would hoist her up, exerting her strength before she turned her upside down. She would hold onto her body for at least two seconds before swinging her body down with a body slam, hoping to inflict more damage on her body.

Misaki was free, and that meant she had a chance to turn things around while Cheryl was left laid out and unable to recover fast enough to stop her. She was only able to get off her back when Misaki pulled her the rest of the way and lifted her up in her dizzy state. That left her hanging in Misaki's arms long enough to be dropped down with a quick body slam back to the mat.

"Gaaagh!" Cheryl screamed, landing on her back for the second time in a minute, and feeling the pain increase from the repeated bumps. Her back felt stiff, making any motion limited and slow while she turned and tried to get off her back, anything to make the pain go away and recover a little bit faster.

Body slamming Cheryl down onto the mat, Misaki huffed as she got down to grab the cheerleader's body, looking to pull her up. "Up you go..." She would bring Cheryl with her, making sure that she was positioned behind her for her next move.

Once both Misaki and Cheryl were on their feet, Misaki would wrap her arms around her opponent's midsection from behind, locking her hands together on Cheryl's belly as she would try to hoist her up and throw her down onto the mat with a German suplex! If successful, she would immediately go for a bridging pin, keeping Cheryl's shoulders pressed against the canvas for a pinfall attempt.

Cheryl turned a little trying to adjust to the pain in her back, only doing so for a second before Misaki was back to pulling her off the canvas and back into her arms. This time she wrapped them around her stomach while she was behind her, giving Cheryl just enough of an idea about what was going to happen before she was lifted up with no time to counter or reverse it. She was launched over Misaki who kept her hold the entire time, only tucking her chin enough to make sure she landed mostly on her shoulders instead of the back of her head. "Aaggh!" Cheryl screamed feeling the impact make her head bounce despite her adjustments. She laid there with her legs still in the air thanks to Misaki who bridged to keep her from rolling or turning off her back while she went for a pin.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Cheryl tried to use her head to bridge off the mat and give her the extra omph she needed to get a shoulder up, stopping the pin attempt. Once she was sure her shoulder was up high enough her hands went down to her waist where she tried to get Misaki to let her go by breaking the grip, even if the pin didn't work she knew that Misaki could still do more damage if she let her keep holding her, even something like turning them around and going for another German.

After the count of two, Cheryl broke the pin, and Misaki had to let go of the cheerleader as she sat up while keeping her eyes on her. "Darn..." Misaki softly muttered under her breath. Seemed like her opponent was a tough one to crack, she thought to herself. Believing that her opponent was still reeling from the German suplex, Misaki would reach out to her, grabbing her by her head and arm, looking to pull her up.

Once the two of them were on their feet, Misaki would drape Cheryl's arm over the back of her neck as she would reach for her waist. Then, she would hoist her up, and exerting her own strength, she would then place her opponent onto her shoulder as she planned to execute an emerald flowsion, hoping to slam her down onto the mat with extreme prejudice!

Cheryl broke the pin, still rattled from the suplex and laid there recovering while Misaki thought up her next move. She'd love to know that she was impressing the hero, if she had the headspace to even think about things like that. Right now her only focus had to be on getting up, which she tried to do before she was pulled up by a very determined Misaki who took her off her feet and into her arms before slamming her down with a painful emerald flowsion!

"Aagggh!" Cheryl screamed bouncing off the mat. She almost looked like a dying fish after that impact, Misaki wasn't holding anything back, the pain from the drop was enough to keep her from turning or trying to move, she was too busy trying to remember how to breathe in and out to do anything.

The emerald flowsion was executed beautifully, and Cheryl was laid out on the mat after Misaki slammed her down. Of course, she personally thought that it wasn't enough. She needed a more high-impact move in order to take her out in this match. So, Misaki would bend down, grabbing Cheryl and pulling her up in preparation for her next, more devastating attack.

Once she had Cheryl on her feet, Misaki would put her in a front facelock before she slipped her other hand between her legs. Then, she would hoist her up and hold her upside down before swinging her down as hard as she could with a Michinoku Driver II! The move, while simple, was undeniably high-impact and devastating if executed successfully. And upon bringing Cheryl's body down, Misaki would then place herself on top of her and hook one of her legs, going for a pinfall attempt.

Cheryl was hurt, she was on her back laid out with the impact from the move being too much for her to endure for the moment. If Misaki went for a pin it would be a close call to kick out. But Misaki stopped herself from trying for a close call kick out and would instead pull her back up when she was weakened and force her to be lifted up and upside down where Cheryl had to look down at the mat before Misaki drove her back into it with a painful Michinoku Driver II!

"IAAgggh!" Cheryl screamed, bouncing off the mat again as her spine suffered another painful drop. She flopped back to the mat unable to do anything when the pin attempt was made.

Bringing Cheryl down with the Michinoku Driver II, Misaki immediately went for the pin, hooking one of Cheryl's legs. She tensed as she listened to the counts from the referee, hoping that this one would be the end of it. She was feeling drained herself after clashing with the cheerleader, and she hoped that the referee would reach the count of three.

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

With that, the match was brought to its end. Misaki sighed in relief as she let go of Cheryl's legs before she got back up to her feet. Tired and sweaty, Misaki still felt fulfilled as she stood victorious over her opponent. The referee raised her arm, declaring her the victor of the match. Smiling in satisfaction, Misaki celebrated as the crowd cheered for her.

The driver right after the flowsion really hurt her flow and left her stiff. Cheryl was capable of taking a lot of damage but durability was tougher when it involved landing on her head and neck. Her spine felt stiff, for a moment she couldn't even move her head. A few more seconds and maybe he'd get the motion back and she'd be fine. Misaki made sure she didn't get those seconds, she expertly dropped on Cheryl right after the move, preventing any recovery time for Chery.

"THREE!"

And that was the result. A sloppy pin attempt or a tired Misaki taking a little longer to cover her would've kept the match alive, Cheryl had controlled enough of this match to know that if it had a box score she'd be winning. While she laid there after Misaki got off her, she knew in her head that this was the start of another lesson, no matter how well you were doing the match could end at any moment. She couldn't think of a worst time to learn that, in the biggest match of her singles career. After a bit of time to rest she would slowly turn herself around and then up to try and get back on her own too feet by herself before turning to face Misaki and her celebration. "Congratulations. It just wasn't my day this time." Cheryl said sadly, offering Misaki a hand. It wasn't all bad, she got to fight a legend and for a moment it looked like she could beat her, maybe next time it wouldn't be almost. Cheryl stewed on what went wrong while she left to allow Misaki to enjoy her celebration in peace while she stepped away from Apex knowing she was going to be holding no gold when it was over.
