Sunny K. vs. Katsumi Oshiro

Sunny was splattered on the mat, a result of a quick bullrushing that cumulated with her being tossed back to the center. Already, her entire body felt sore from the onslaught she had taken to start the match, and she was finding it difficult to move. She laid in the mat, haplessly watching Katsumi strut around her, soaking up the boos that were filling the arena. Sunny wasn’t sure if the boos were directed towards the Japanese antagonist or her own limp performance, but regardless it only heightened her anxiety about her current situation.

The blonde continued to stare straight up at the roof of the arena, trying to muster enough juice to get back to her feet, before her senses were jolted awake again. SMACK! The collision of Katsumi and Sunny’s bare bellies wasn’t incredibly forceful, but it was enough to send a rush of urgency through Sunny’s mind.

No, not like this!

“One!” the referee slapped the mat, in starting the count.

Sunny groaned as she tried to arch her back up to buck Katsumi off of her.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, Katsumi felt quite vindicated after the smack she'd taken. Such disrespect wouldn't be tolerated! Especially from some blonde-haired, blue-eyed gaijin! The only appropriate response is to promptly steamroll her and pin her down in front of the roaring crowd. Sure, they may be roaring against her, but whatever, no accounting for taste!

Oh, who is she kidding? She started it. She knows it. She's having fun with it again. And hearing the scorn from the audience is like an amplifying jolt of electricity running through her frame. All eyes on the two of them, locked in mortal combat, vying for supremacy - and here she is, lying dominantly across her stomach. It's exhilarating. And in fairness, this Sunny girl doesn't feel weak, now that she's easily feeling her toned core beneath her. So she won't be ridiculing her on anything like that, at least...

Suddenly, the blonde bridges under her, sliding the punkette back onto her knees. "Oh, what's up? Not had enough?," she asks in English. Her right hand zips down to snatch at the roots of that luxurious hay-hued mane, tugging to draw her up to her feet as she raises. "Good! I wasn't done beating up on ya anyway!"

The referee isn't silent on the matter, interjecting in Japanese. "Oshiro-san, the hair!" She frantically indicates with a balled fist beside her scalp. "Let go!"

Sunny arched her stomach up with as much strength as she could muster, desperately trying to escape from the early pin. She wasn’t going to go out like this, not this early!

She felt her opponent slide off as she was able to buck her off, but her momentarily found relief was soon punctured by sharp pain as Katsumi dragged her up to her feet, pulling her up by her hair. The blonde's eyes began to well up a bit from the pain as she heard the referee angrily scolding in the background. She could hear her opponent taunting her but she couldn’t really register what she was saying; all of the sounds alongside the crowd were a hectic blur to Sunny, who was beginning to already feel desperation creep into her.

Some part carrying the momentum of being pulled back up to her feet, some part frustration from the match so far; Sunny launched a knee right towards Katsumi’s gut.

"Kyeeh!" Sunny cried out as she sent a knee up the middle, with intensions to follow up with more until she could get herself freed from the grasp.

"Shaddap!," snaps Katsumi to the referee-girl. "She has so much hair, the Hell am I gonna do to grab'er!? It's everywhere! You should be on her for cheating!"

Nevermind how Sunny's hair is actually quite similar in both length and volume to Katsumi's. She's certainly ignoring that fact, herself, as she berates the official. Poor Sunny is almost a second thought in this moment, convinced as she is that she has the blonde sufficiently bullied and beaten up to keep under control.

"I'm warning you!," argues the referee.

And just then, a knee rams up into Katsumi's trim belly. "Ungh!" Her body jolts, pitching forward with eyes widened. Then another knee, then a third, each hit feeling more desperate and forceful than the last, hammering deep into the girl's abdominals. She releases the hair after the third hit in favor of protecting her stomach, arms wrapped around her midsection while she stands doubled over, hair hanging over her face. "Ghh.."

Truthfully, it was fairly rare for Sunny to be visibly irritated. Not that she was always joyous of course - everyone has melancholy moments - but the frown perched on her face paired with eyes narrowed with anger was quite an uncommon look for her. But the incessant hair pulling and trash talk had chipped away at her, well, sunny demeanor and awoke an angrier side of her.

Each knee seemed to lurch Katsumi a bit further forward until she was hunched over from the impact of the knees. Feeling that the noirette had finally let go of her hair, Sunny whipped her head back, a golden streak flinging back as her hair flew freely in the air before settling back.

Sunny, still filled with irritation, shifted back just enough to readjust her target and grabbed Katsumi’s head - although not pulling at her hair - to steady the mark for her next barrage.

"Stop!"

A knee crashed into Katsumi's head

"Pulling!"

The anger in Sunny's voice increased with each word as she threw another knee

"My hair!"

The third knee was thrown with quite some extra nastiness behind it, with Sunny opting to stop at three, breathing heavily while staring down her opponent, waiting for her to get back up.

Katsumi had just taken a hard battering to the stomach, more than she'd anticipated with her opponent. Her core, still reeling from the knees thrusting over and over into her, is clenched, every abdominal muscle seized and refusing to relax just yet. The punkette's expression is caught in a grimace, though she's trying to soothe the pain down and ease it away. Still - she isn't uncurling in the next few seconds.

Her head is grabbed and manipulated, the Punk Princess staggering on wobbly legs to try to keep upright and maintain her balance. But the pain in her stomach is soon a distracted memory as the knee raises again, slamming against her temple. It's like a burst of white light hitting her mind. Then a second. And finally a third! Katsumi's upper-body whips, her hair flinging in wild tresses from the fore to the back, before her slender body drops. She hits the mat in a daze, unable to focus yet beyond just the vague need to get back on her feet and collect herself. A hand sets to her forehead, and she laboriously rolls over onto knees and her left hand. Then, the girl groggily pushes herself to a wobbly vertical base...

With each deep breath, the anger from Sunny subsided just a bit more, being replaced with firm determination as she continued to stare down her opponent, who had collapsed to the ground and was gingerly trying to pick herself back up off of the mat.

Something felt different this time compared to her previous couple matches; was it the novelty of wrestling in front of a crowd wearing off and that there was a newfound determination to win, not merely take part in a shiny new side activity in life? Or was there something about this particular opponent - this brash, punky rebel - who was drawing previously untapped energy from her?

Sunny slowly took a few steps back, her eyes narrowing as she waited for Katsumi to collect herself to a kneel. Timing it so that she could hit impact around the same time that Katsumi would be either kneeling or just standing up, the blonde dashed forward before leaping into the air and flying feet first, the soles of her boots aiming right towards her opponent’s chest.

Whatever the source of Sunny's newfound gumption, Katsumi is certainly feeling the brunt of it. Moreso because Sunny's the kind of wrestler who opts out of kneepads! Each strike to the head was a jarring one, each earning a whoop from the audience as comeuppance is served on the brash punkette. And try as Katsumi might to tough it out, the strikes have an unavoidably dizzying effect that simply can't be rushed.

She can't see straight. She has her mind collected, but everything is unfortunately a haze of gauzy, blurry mess. Like someone took the smear tool to reality and went ham.

Katsumi wobbles to her feet, normally sharp eyes unfocused. And soon, the modest curvature of her chest receives the full brunt impact of Sunny's dropkick. Katsumi's back hits the mat with a profound THUD, her legs briefly kicked into the air before her hips fall flat to the mat and the legs follow suit. Stunned and supine, Katsumi lies faceup with eyes closed and right arm limply crossing her chest.
