Maria barely heard what the referee was saying. She was to exhausted, the choke of her opponent made it hard to breath, think. Marias whole body was mostly functioning on instinct. And so the answer was no. Maria had no intention of letting the green haired fighter go. She didn't wanna lose and continues the choke.
While she felt her opponent choking her as well and how her vision was going more blurry by the second, Maria also continues to choke Tiki. She might be about to pass out soon but Maria hopes to take Tiki with her, with all the fight she got left.

Re: Maria Lindberg vs Tiki Lowell: Elite Kickboxing Battle
Well, looks like this is it, Tiki thought as Maria made no move to let go of her chokehold after hearing the referee's words. This was looking like it was going to go until somebody passed out. The veteran wrestler dug her fingertips as deep into the blonde's throat as she could in order to close off the air to her lungs and the blood to her brain as much as possible.
Of course, Tiki was not without her own struggling. Her vision started to shake and the edges started to blacken. Her arms started shaking as the greenette tried to pour as much force into her strangulation as she could. She could tell that Maria was fading the same as she was, but Tiki also didn't have much time left. Her head tilted back, and the greenette started to slip. She tried to will her hands to keep squeezing past her falling unconscious, but that time had come. Now Tiki could only hope that she had managed to get Maria first once she woke up.

Re: Maria Lindberg vs Tiki Lowell: Elite Kickboxing Battle
Maria didn't stop. She continued to choke the other woman but got choked in return. This continued until Maria lost conscious. She tried to stay awake and power through until Tiki got knocked out first, however, her vision got blurry and she lost it. Maria hit her breaking point. Maria didn't know weather she outlasted her opponent. She saw black and lay flat on the stomach of the green haired woman. The breathing if her was was slow and barely noticeable, but she was out nonetheless.
The ref came over and checked on the two woman. They were both out and it was difficult to check who was the first one get knocked out. And so the referee decided that it was a draw. He separated the woman and took care of them, making sure they are alright until they woke up.
Maria woke up, her head and neck were hurting as she slowly got up. She was not sure what happened in the last seconds of the fight and it took her some time adjusting to the environment again.

Re: Maria Lindberg vs Tiki Lowell: Elite Kickboxing Battle
Tiki woke up on her back and started to sit up. Her first instinct was that she had lost, but as she looked around, she saw Maria laying next to her, unconscious and just beginning to stir herself. "Who- who passed out first?" Tiki asked, still somewhat bleary. When she was told that they passed out at the same time and the match was a draw, the veteran wasn't quite sure what to make of that.
Maria seemed to get the news at the same time Tiki did. With the match now over, the greenette did the only thing that she really could in this spot; she reached her hand out to Maria, offering to shake. "Good match," she said. "A very good match."

Re: Maria Lindberg vs Tiki Lowell: Elite Kickboxing Battle
Noticing that Tiki woke up as well and asking who won, Maria probably knew the answer at that point already. And the referee confirmed that thought. It was a draw between them. She groans a bit frustrated. Of course a draw was better than a lose, but she still wanted to win this fight, afterall she got past her limits at the end of this fight.
As Tiki extended her hand towards Maria, she was hesitant at first. The draw hurt her pride a little but she admitted to herself that Tiki was a strong opponent. So making it a draw was maybe not the worst outcome she could have had in this fight. After a few second Maria looked Tiki into her eyes and grabbed her hand.
"Yes! It was a really good match."
Maria agrees with her former opponent as she would shake her hand.
