Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion

So, both Megumi and Tina were locked up and the former Wrestle Angel found herself being pushed back. Exerting her strength, she would push back at Tina before twisting her body, making use of her footwork to transition the lock up into a standing armbar, wrenching Tina's arm back to see how would she fare in this standard hold.

She would make sure to apply pressure in the hold, and she planned to transition the armbar into a hammerlock, bringing said arm at Tina's back.

Tina had done well, but Megumi shift quickly into a more technocal contest! Tina geoaned as her arm wqs stretched out painfully and Megumi was able to maneuver behind her.

Tina reached back to grab Megumi by the hair and kneel down while bending forward, trying to escape the hold by snapmaring Megumi down on her butt in front of her!

Tina would in turn wedge her shin against Megumi' s back to try to catch her in a chin lock by reaching forward and clapping her hands around Megimi's chin.

Putting Tina in the hammerlock, Megumi would apply pressure around the joints of her shoulder and elbow, but before she could apply more pressure, Tina grabbed her by her hair before flipping her over with a snapmare! "Aah!!" Megumi yelped as she fell onto her butt, wincing.

Then, Tina wedged her shin against her back as she then put the former Wrestle Angel in a chin lock. "Erghh..." Megumi grunted, feeling her neck being wrenched from the hold. But Megumi wasn't one to give up so easily as she would twist her body to the side a bit, easing the pain on her back before attempting to flip Tina over with a snapmare of her own after grabbing her head.

Tina thought she had Megumi, but again was proven wrong! "Whoa! Oomph!" Tina groaned as she was in turn sent flying onto her backside! She grit her teeth trying to reach both her arms out and grab hold of one of Megumi's wrists and scramble to her feet, twisting Megumi's arm to keep her at length. Instead of turning it into a hammerlock however, Tina will grab Megumi's twisted arm with her left, and pull her close!

As she does this Tina steps in extending her right arm as she tries to level Megumi with a shorter clothesline!

Right after flipping Tina over with the snapmare, Megumi was planning to keep up with her momentum, but said momentum was stopped when Tina grabbed her by her wrist. "Ergh!" Megumi winced as her arm was twisted as Tina got back up on her feet.

She had seen this setup before, and she needed to get the perfect timing to counter this. When she saw Tina extending her right arm for a short clothesline, Megumi would leap up, getting her legs up to quickly put her in a cross armbreaker, catching Tina's right arm that she used for the clothesline in order to wrench it!

Tina howled in pain as she was now stick in a standing armbar! The tigress was brought to her knees and didn't kn ow how to counter the hold immediately! After screaming in pain again she tried to maneuver her legs to push back on the armbar, placing Megumi in a pinning position!

"ONE!"

While not a counter, putting Megumi in a pin would at least force her to abandon the hold.

Wrenching Tina's arm hard in the cross armbreaker, Megumi was looking to weaken her arm and shoulder with the hold before the younger woman brought her in a pinning position, and Megumi's eyes widened as she realized what just happened.

She would quickly relinquish the hold, releasing Tina's arm. Then she would scoot away from her so that she could get back up on her feet.

"Not bad..." Megumi said, praising Tina for her ingenuity as she waited for her to get back up on her feet.

Tina got back up and readied herself, rolling her shoulder a bit as she looked over at Megumi. "I may not have your experience or pedigree but you will find out I'm more than 'not bad' my dear." Tina said, focused on her foe. She moved in, trying again to grapple! This time Tina would try to grab hold of Megumi and step in, placing her shoulder against Megumi's sternum.

From there she would try a quick, fireman toss over her shoulders and onto the mat putting Megumi on her back! It wasn't a very painful toss but it would help keep Megumi on the defensive and Tina would try to keep hold of an arm and maneuver her way into an armbar if Megumi stayed laying on her back afterward!

Seeing Tina closing in, Megumi prepared herself. When she felt the younger woman placing her shoulder on her sternum, she knew that she would be hoisted up, so she would let herself be hoisted up into the fireman toss, and with a catlike grace, she would perfectly land on her feet instead of her back, which would disrupt Tina's plan to put her in an armbar.

Now behind Tina, she would snake her arms under her armpits, putting her in a full nelson. Then, after locking in the hold, she would try to hoist Tina up, throwing her behind with a release dragon suplex!

Tina was in shock as Megumi easily countered her move! Before she could react she was grabbed from behind and lift up, crashing down painfully on the back of her head and neck! Tina howled in pain as she rolled onto her side cradling her head. Nothing seemed to work against Megumi, and now Tina was the one who first ended horribly on the mat clearly in pain in the aftermath of the powerful high impact move!
