Madeline Christiansen vs. Ryu Hiroshi - Through The Fire

Match Type: Accepted Submission
Victory Conditions: Achieved via submission over an opponent. The winner must accept the submission for the match to end, otherwise, the match continues.
Match Overview: An inflatable platform is suspended in the middle of a resort pool. Should an opponent be knocked off into the water, they are required to return to the platform and allow their opponent to perform any move they want on them before the match resumes.

Management couldn’t help themselves, can’t they?

LAW was a federation unlike anything Madeline has seen before. It was one thing that they had a stacked roster within the hentai division, but the types of matches that they put out were something indie federations could dream of pulling. At least, with the kind of capital LAW has to make it happen.

Madeline knows all too well the kind of gimmicks LAW would bring out to freshen things up, a change of pace over the usual, yet spectacular showings the women, and men, pull off. And with Summer finally making its arrival, it seemed as if management was eager to test out one of their ideas.

Thus bringing Madeline to the resort. The Englishwoman made her way around the length of the poolside, her magenta and black bikini set gracing the masses as she makes her appearance. A catwalk would be suspended over the pool via a few rigging here and there, making a path to the inflated floating platform. The live audience wasn’t big, but they were still excited to see a unique showing, with the broadcasting team on set. Though the new gimmick wasn’t the only thing that Madeline had to worry about.

Throughout her time in LAW, her male opponents have, quite honestly, left a lot to be desired. Even with their advantages, Madeline wasn’t well pleased with the sample she’s been given. And thus, Madeline made a bid to management to set up someone that would bring an actual challenge. Her standard of opponents does go towards the opposite sex, just to make her conquests more worthwhile. The brunette did wish that she faced Ryu Hiroshi in different circumstances, but Madeline would make do with what she was given. He is still a formidable competitor through and through and she can’t afford to take him lightly.

With careful steps, Madeline made her way through the catwalk, delicate steps so that she doesn’t end up slipping on her arse. Approaching the massive floating platform, Madeline would hop onto the structure, landing cat-like on her hands and feet with a muted thud, nearly sinking into the inflated flooring. Madeline would test the platform underneath her feet. Firm, yet still has a bit of give once you put a bit more force into it. She would chuck her hat across the pool and with a flourish of her hand, remove the maxi sarong adorned on her waist. Madeline couldn’t really tell what to expect with this particular arena, especially with a decorated foe like Ryu.

And that makes it all the more exciting.

Now this was certainly one of the most interesting match-ups that Ryu had been involved in. The Dragon had a long career in the wrestling business, he had competed in many different match types but this certainly took the cake of being the most unique. Technically, the two could end up wrestling all night if none of them accepted the other's submission or it could be as early as the first submission. The structure was quite unique as well as were the special conditions. There was a platform suspended in the middle of a resort pool and should either Ryu or Madelina be knocked off into the pool, they would have to allow the other to perform any move they want on them before the match resumes.

His opponent tonight was Madeline Christiansen, he knew that she was a formidable foe and that her strength was in her grappling and submission ability. The Dragon was excited, he loved going up against a fellow grappler and submissionist. In his mind, this would be a true test of who the superior wrestler was. Madeline would no doubt take him to his limit, especially since one submission would simply not be enough. Regardless, Ryu would be up for the challenge.

Ryu Hiroshi

Making his way down the ramp, he was clad in his blue wrestling briefs and fingerless gloves. The male wrestler looked in peak physical condition as he slowly and carefully made his way up the platform, careful not to slip. He didn't care if the crowd was small or large or that all eyes were on the two of them now, when inside the ring, mats or platform in this case, his attention would be focused purely on his opponent. He approached her, she was even more beautiful and good looking up close in person but that did not shake his resolve to conquer her.

"Madeline-san, I've heard you are quite skilled at grappling and submission. I hope you will not disappoint. No matter what the match type or gimmick is, I will not lose" he said, standing face to face against her.

“Madeline-san. Hmmm…”

Titles for the brunette were a weird case. Considering that she pretty much abandoned her standing in the aristocratic circle, Madeline expected things to be normal for her. In a casual setting, Ms and Madam were the ones that she heard a lot, even during her younger years back in her homeland. Although she’s been in Japan for a while, “-san” was something she hasn’t gotten used to yet.

Coming from someone established like Ryu Hiroshi, it told much about his character. A term that expresses politeness belies the experience and power contained in a body that still hasn’t failed him, despite his age. Ryu is as storied as many other wrestlers like him and Madeline couldn’t wait to sink his teeth into a challenging foe. Considering the other offerings from the male counterparts haven’t been as impressive.

“And you’re aware of my capabilities also. Very good. As much as I’d prefer we do battle in another setting, I trust that your skill will shine as the sun above us.” Madeline would say, looking at the powerful dragon standing face to face. “Regardless of the battlefield, never hold back.”

He was quite respectful in his approach towards his opponent, of course that would all change when the two would actually start their competition. The two would stare each other down whilst standing on the suspended structure. It felt odd to be wrestling in such a unique setting but he was ready to take on this new challenge against an opponent he had never wrestled before. She repeated her last name with the honorifics after Ryu had mentioned it while looking at the male wrestler face to face.

"I believe I have the same sentiments as you do" he would say in a stoic tone. The bell would soon ring and Ryu would raise his arms up, quickly circling her and attempting to get in close. Once he did, the Dragon would attempt to feign in a lunge towards Madeline's direction before trying to slip behind her and attempt to wrap his arms around her waist for a waistlock.

Aside from the structure underneath them, Ryu is sure to bring a lot of challenges for Madeline to contend with. It’s not as if this is her first rodeo grappling of the opposite sex, but someone of Mr Hiroshi’s calibre would make this difficult to navigate through. Physical advantages aside, Ryu brings a veteran level of experience to the game, and that cannot be overlooked. The only saving grace for Madeline would be that she wouldn’t feel the full effect of being thrown by him, not with a more forgiving surface like this. But there are many ways to win a match. So Madeline has to be on point.

The bell would ring and Ryu was already quick to circle with Madeline. The Brit would take careful, trained strides, and a solid stance to keep herself stable. From this point on, Madeline can only trust her instincts and skills to stay one step ahead. Ryu dashed in, explosive off the mark, similar to what she’d been trained under wrestling. For a moment, Madeline would be disappointed if he’d just gone in for a test of strength, but that would be a discredit to Ryu’s ability. The Dragon slipped behind her, thick, meaty arms wrapping around her toned waist. Madeline shuffled her feet to drive herself forward, but she must act fast before Ryu would squeeze her back in.

Moving forward, away from Ryu, one hand would grip one of his wrists, while Madeline’s other arm snakes behind and around his arm. She hopes to have enough force to separate those hands while securing that arm in a figure-four grip. Should all of that work, Madeline hopes to cut the corner around the Dragon, in an attempt to bring that arm behind his back. However, that could be wishful thinking, considering how strong and skilled Ryu is.

There was no doubt in his mind that he would have easily managed to subdue her in a straight up grapple but he decided to play it cleverly. He went behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist to give her a firm squeeze to test how good her endurance is or at the very least see if she would not falter under the pressure of being trapped in a quick submission by such a physical specimen such as the Dragon. The Brit would shuffle her feet and move forward, trying to escape the clutches of her Japanese male opponent. She would grab one his wrists while the other arm snaked behind and around his arm, managing to create enough space to wiggle free from the submission.

She did not stop there, she went behind him and wrenched that captured arm in a hammerlock. "Ngh, impressive he would say." with a grimaced look on his face. He would bend forward a bit, making it hard for her to hold that arm before reaching down to grab her ankle, looking to yank at it while simultaneously looking to straighten himself up to try and make her fall to the ground!

Styles like freestyle and no-gi have given Madeline a lot of variety with her standup game. Especially when facing against bigger opponents than she is. The English Rose never doubted the skill of the Dragon, which is why she worked to get into a position that she’d be most confident with to go against his strengths. Madeline would quietly giggle upon hearing Ryu's compliment. As she made all the effort to break the grip, Madeline worked to get that arm behind Ryu.

Though with his storied skill and size, such a task would be a tricky task. It wasn’t a position that Madeline would keep Ryu in for long, hence why she looked at alternative options while she was in a more helpful position. Since she couldn’t get that arm all the way back and couldn’t turn all the way around the corner, especially as Ryu reached to grab at her ankle, Madeline sprung into action. One foot stepped outside and her other leg, the one that Ryu tried grabbing at, moved up, her shin connecting to his thigh and that foot hooked behind the knee. With Ryu already bending forward, it made things easy enough for Madeline to lean back down, using the falling body weight to drive Ryu into a forward roll position.

Should the corner throw end flawlessly, Madeline would move to shift herself on top, her leg placed on Ryu’s head while making her way directly into a BJJ-style Kimura.

Trapped in the hammerlock, Ryu grimaced in pain but it was nothing he could not handle. In fact, he began to work his way out of the hold as he bent forward and tried to grab her ankle and tried to find a way to make her trip down so that he could escape. Of course, the English Rose realized that the Japanese Dragon was trying to find a way to escape so she would not give him that luxury. Instead, she would bring her foot up to strike his thigh and the other pushed to the back of his knee making him stumble forward into a short forward roll.

With that, she would end up on top of him with his arm still in her clutches as she would bend it even more hard behind him in a painful Kimura. "Ughhhh s-shit" he cursed under his breath, now trapped in a much more painful submission than a standard hammerlock. Not one to simply take the punishment, he used his free arm to wrap it around Madeline's waist to try and lift her up along with him, first getting up to his knee and then to his feet as he tried to fall back down and drive her back first to the ground!
