After a bad couple of days since debuting at LAW, the goddess of war was distraught, not knowing what to make of it all. Was this even a good idea? Her mind was in turmoil at the moment, so she decided to go to her happy place. An MMA gym that she owns, this place hardly anyone usually comes to, due to the scandals surrounding the owner. So she could just sit and lose herself in her thoughts, try to clear her mind. After thinking for a while she got up and went to change her clothes, putting on her gym outfit. Gym Attire
The blonde was going to warm up for a while by hitting a punching bag, as she did almost every day. There would be no customer service mentality, as there were no more than two people in the whole place, so Garlim focused on practicing by throwing several consecutive jabs, followed by a few cross punches and hooks. The sound of the impact of her punches echoed throughout the gym, this was because she did not try to measure the strength of her punches, she simply let himself go to hit as hard as possible.
Zira hummed softly as she got changed in the locker room of the smaller, near deserted gym. In preparation for her heavyweight title match against Alaina she wanted to do some training in private, away from all the reporters, paparazzi, and other wrestlers. Hence she wanted to avoid the LAW gym, luckily she found this little hole in the wall that a few friends of her MMA days had told her about and it was utterly perfect for what she wanted. Making sure her gym clothes were fitting right she nodded to herself and walked out.. only to be greeted by the sounds a bag getting the shit beaten out of it. Spoiler
Raising a eyebrow up Zira's curiosity would get the better of her as she made her way over towards the heavy bags and saw a blonde woman wailing on the punching bag with what looked like a lot more than a normal level of motivation. "You're form is all kinds of off, your leading too much, easy to predict and counter, plus your losing out on precision." Zira called out in a voice that would hopefully be heard over the sound of the pissed off blonde's fists on the heavy bag.
Garlim, in spite of the trance she was in, a scream immediately caught her attention. There were no other people in the place, just her and a white-haired brunette who undoubtedly must have been the one who spoke to him. The way she expressed the shortcomings of her technique when she hit the bag was strangely familiar to him. Garlim would stop in his tracks to pay attention and turned his gaze to the girl. “Um... Were you talking to me?” She was simply trying to get even and clear her head a bit, so she wasn't paying much attention to her technique when it came to hitting the bag.
Besides, she's a former MMA champion, what did this girl have to say to him in regards to questioning her stance? She wasn't used to a stranger saying that kind of thing to her, maybe her old coach or her teacher, but who did this girl think she was to address her that way or even refer to her? Well, there are not many people, no doubt she was referring to Garlim.
Making a unprompted comment to another fighter was sometimes looked down upon as rude or aggressive, but Zira was never one to care about convention and as honest to a fault as she was she didn't care. If she saw something wrong she'd point it out. Though it seemed the woman doing the punching would turn around to look at her after a moment, not even sure if she was talking to her.
"I don't see anyone else around do you? So yeah I'm talking to you." Zira said point blank with a mischievous smirk. "I didn't think many people came to this gym so color me surprised, though I think maybe instead of a gym you should find a diary since it looked like you were punching to vent as opposed to improve." Zira said in what one part mocking joke, but also part genuine curiosity and observation. After all Zira could recognize pissed off punching when she saw it.
She didn't seem to be joking when she said she was addressing her, although despite the comment, Garlim didn't get angry, she even found her point of view interesting. But Garlim noticed the strange girl's mentality right away, and what struck him most was her appearance. The goddess of war could have sworn she had seen this woman somewhere else, after a second's careful observation, she would vaguely recognize her. “Well, what a surprise. Well technically yes you are the only one in the gym today, but of the few people who come here, I wasn't expecting to meet none other than Zira Caballero.” After her time in MMA, Garlim had seen many girls who compete or competed on the circuit. Thoroughly analyzing their style and their fights, among them she saw some of Zira's fights, although she didn't follow her specifically, if there were some fights where she was involved, so she recognized her just by seeing her up close.
“And what do you have to offer in my gym? I thought you retired from MMA a couple of years ago to reduce yourself to just certain shows, maybe you plan to warm up a bit?” Garlim didn't usually have many people in her place, especially fighters of her discipline. Seeing Zira brought a good smile to the former champion's face. “Because if that's the case, there I have an octagon where you can try to teach me how to write in my journal.” She said in a sarcastic, if somewhat anxious tone. But her spirit was beginning to cry out for a fight, taking advantage of the fact that she finally had someone with whom she could practice.

Having made her presence known to the other woman Zira would stand before her and place her hands on her hips, watching as the blonde turned towards her and spoke, apparently recognizing her as well and for what its worth, now that Zira could see her face, the blonde was starting to look familiar as well. "Heh so you know me eh? In any case yeah, I heard this was a nice little chill spot, so I thought I'd check it out and so far... Not impressed" Zira said with a teasing tone and casual tilt of her head. Oh so this girl seemed to be aware of who she was, but not necessarily up to date about what she was doing currently or why. "Heh, for the record I only retired because I lost the chance to fight the person I really wanted too, and everyone else was too easy, plus I had a kid to raise, but I never lost my edge, that's why when I joined LAW I immediately started dominating, but if you wanna taste or a free lesson I'm more than happy to deliver." Zira said with a cocky smile on her face as she walked until she was right in front of Garlim, looking right into her eyes.
Garlim listened attentively to Zira comments, really this site was a simple space to clarify more than a business, so she did not intend to impress anyone with this and just sketched a grimace in response. Although what caught her attention was the reason why Zira withdrew, as she simply did not see sense to continue competing without the presence of a specific rival. Something that the goddess of war understood perfectly, although she did not withdraw because of that, but because she would be permanently banned from participating in the circuit. “Wow, I didn't know you had children, I guess it brought out your character. But, I don't understand why a fighter like you would join a clown show like pro wrestling, if you couldn't get competent people in your league, I don't think you could get them there. Like you said, you're clearly dominant in a show of people who can barely hit.” Garlim said things straight, although she too worked for LAW, she didn't do it of her own free will, but because she had no other choice or a better offer. It was either this or live back in the orphanage that was passed down to her to work taking care of the orphans, her custodial father still had the nerve to contact her despite everything that had happened.
But Zira on the other hand... She just didn't see the sense of what someone like her was doing there, while she knew of some girls on the circuit who ended up in LAW just to get a job or stand out more easily, Zira was doing it for the fun of it. “Why on earth would you want to be in this circus? I'm working there too and all it results in is an extremely embarrassing show, full of ridiculous people.” She exclaimed.
Interesting. This woman didn't seem to get angrier or more volatile in response to what Zira said. Raising her eyebrows Zira would hum softly before nodding with a small smirk. "You can say that yeah, kids always change your perspective a bit." Zira said before snorting softly as Garlim questioned why she came to LAW, and how the girl called it embarrassing.
"Are you kidding? Coming to LAW was the best decision I've ever made. Sure some of the gals have been weaker, but some of them have made for the most fun fights I've had in a while. There's less rules, people can fight how they like, its the most diversity and intense competition I've ever had. Sounds like you just haven't given it a real chance." Zira said confidently and truthfully, not one embellishing her words at all, and even gaining a fond smile as she spoke.
Despite the character that characterizes Garlim, Zira's comments did not end up bothering her because she simply did not like to look for trouble for a mother. Garlim never had one and knows firsthand what it is like to grow up without the affection of a good mother, so she simply does not want to, she does not like the idea of hurting a woman with children to protect, so she showed a more understanding attitude. Retiring to have a family, now that's something the powerful blonde respected.
“A chance? I'm not a circus clown or a silly actress Zira, maybe you like to act in softer things? But I'm not like that, before I entered this business I was the international MMA champion with 3 crowns, now I don't even know who I am...” Garlim rattled off her anecdote, she didn't know if Zira recognized her or if she was aware of the MMA circuit, they had never faced each other or seen each other before. But she hoped to give the white haired girl an idea of her situation. “... Sorry, I know you might like this, but it's not my thing. It just doesn't make sense, people who jump off ropes to throw themselves off and hurt themselves, self-centered people who only know how to model and still think they can stand up to you, guys in ridiculous outfits who think they look cool and only look embarrassing. It's... Horrible.”

Zira hummed softly as Garlim explained her past accomplishments, the familiarity of the woman finally clicking for her as she nodded. "Ah yeah, I have seen you before. Thought you were familiar, though we were in different circuits so makes sense I don't know you well." Zira said with a shrug, the revelation not changing much of her opinions or attitude but as Garlim continued to talk she would frown and cross her arms. "Then why are you here? Are you broke? Clearly your more into traditional mma, and I'm sure you have money, why not start your own league? Why sign up for somewhere you hate?" Zira questioned, not understanding Garlim or her choice.
