"Is it because I hurt her pride?" Lily wondered.

Less than a week after she visited her manager and expressed her position on her career, Victoria found a match for her. Even Lily herself was confident that Victoria would not make any additional efforts for this, because thanks to a combination of circumstances, the Englishwoman got a match at the largest PPV of the year against one of the most important figures of the federation.

So she was wrong. And although this happened extremely rarely, Lily believed that this was one of those mistakes that she could afford to close her eyes to, because in the upcoming match there is a condition that will allow her to test her speed to the maximum. When the brunette was given a sign that her time had come, she nodded briefly and threw the hood over her head.

Entrance Music

Attire

Along with the beginning of her music, the light left the arena. On the way from the top of the ramp to the ring, Lily was accompanied by spotlights. It was only when she was in the ring that the light returned to the arena. With a sharp movement, the Englishwoman threw off her cloak of black crow feathers, and then, accompanied by applause, took her fighting stance.

Having finished with the entrance, the Black Crow briefly nodded to the referee and headed to her corner. Among the members of Victoria's team, only a few could compete with her in speed, but she had never had to take part in a match with a time limit. Lily intended to use this opportunity to prepare for her next match.

Teuila took a deep breath in preparation for the match ahead. Big time opportunity for herself. Not only was it against someone with a solid reputation, if a short list of matches, but they were all wins and almost more importantly her opponent's connections. After all not many can boast they were under the same umbrella that housed the openweight champ, so Teuila was sure that if she could impress tonight it would surely help her case for graduating. Hell as is she was close, even after her humbling loss to Noelle Silva, but now, now was a chance to redeem herself, and she even got permission to use her new ring gear for it along with an official theme song for herself!

Speaking of as it began playing she knew it was time to make her appearance. Taking a deep breath and slapping her cheeks Teuila would run out as the chorus of her song started, putting her hands up as she came out and posing for the crowd, showing off her new ring attire in the process! Retaining the yellow she previously wore, but in a much more visually appealing form, with patterns that honored her roots and even a symbol that represented her name. It was a perfect outfit and one she couldn't have made better if she tried, and she was all too eager to get a major win while wearing it for the first time.

Coming down the ramp towards the ring she would high five some of the fans near the front, winking and blowing kisses to others before clmibing the steps onto the ring apron and posing once more before climbing through the ropes. Looking over at her opponent Teuila would give a friendly wave to the woman. Lily seemed dark and moody, kinda goth like, but Teuila had no reason to dislike her, and while they may be wrestling in a matter of moments Teuila generally liked to at least try and start things off in a friendly way. In fact she was approaching to offer a handshake before getting cut off by a crack of lightning... followed by music.

The familiar theme immediately got the fans on their feet the moment they put together who it belonged too as none other than Alizeh Midori came out. Dressed in casual attire as opposed to her ring gear though, but regardless she would pose and smile for the fans as she came down the ramp. As she approached the ring however Alizeh would make a sharp turn, walking around it and to the commentary booth where a third chair had been set up for her to take a seat before putting on a set of headphones, apparently joining commentary for this match, after all she and Lily would be seeing each other rather soon. So she wanted a front row seat to watch what the woman was capable of.

When her rival's music started, the Black Crow smoothly turned her head towards the ramp. If there was a need to compare the entrances of Lily and Teuila, then perhaps one could say that Lily's entrance was like a night thunderstorm, while her rival's entrance looked like the sunniest and cloudless day. The audience clearly liked how open the Samoan woman was with them.

When Teuila was in the ring and waved at Lily, the brunette only blinked slowly, looking at her opponent from heels to the top of her head. It's time. Pushing off from the corner, the Black Crow headed to the center of the ring to listen to a briefing from the referee, and then start the match. When she and her opponent were face to face, it did not escape her gaze that the brown-haired woman slightly raised her right hand as if she wanted to offer a handshake. Lily didn't have a problem with that, but it wasn't meant to be. For a very unexpected reason.

Even with her phenomenal memory, the Englishwoman did not know the entrance theme of absolutely every fighter here. She could have memorized them all if necessary, but she considered it a waste of her resources. Nevertheless, she knew exactly who the music belonged to. Turning her head towards the ramp again, Lily watched Alizeh approaches the ring. And when the green-haired woman met her gaze, the Englishwoman's eyes narrowed slightly.

“All's fair in war...” sounded in her head.

Judging by the excited hubbub of the audience, they wondered what Alizeh was doing here. For Lily, the answer was obvious. The woman she was going to fight in the near future wanted to personally see what the Black Crow was like in action. You can watch thousands of match recordings, but nothing can replace the real experience. Well. So be it. Not allowing Alizeh's presence to distract her, Lily turned back to Teuila and gave her a short nod, then took two steps back in order to create a space between them and take her fighting stance, preparing to start their high speed match.

Teuila had absolutely no idea what was going on right now. Like at all. Coming out here for a match with a time limit was one thing. However she'd never really been in a position where someone had come out with seemingly the sole purpose of watching? Judging by the look exchanged between Alizeh though it seemed they had history of some kind which made Teuila feel like she was caught in the middle of two warring factions or something.

Though she didn't quite appreciate that, she was no prop to be used between a conflict of two other wrestlers, she was her own wrestler and she would show both Lily and Alizeh just that! Looking up at her opponent with renewed resolve and taking a few steps back Teuila would place her hands up in preparation as the bell finally rang, starting the match and prompting Teuila to dart forward, trying to duck low past Lily and get behind her to try and wrap her arms around Lily's waist from behind to seize control out the gate with a rear waist lock!

Ding-Ding-Ding.

The bell rang and the arena was filled with the noise of the audience. However, Lily didn't seem to hear them at all. She had a clear goal and therefore focused only on her opponent. Clenching her fists, she confidently rushed forward. Her opponent did the same thing, which was to the advantage of the brunette, because as soon as the distance between them became minimal, she threw a left jab at Teuila's head.

The Englishwoman's amber eyes sparkled at the moment when her opponent not only dodged her punch, but also stepped behind her. In the blink of an eye, the brown-haired woman wrapped her arms around the Black Crow's waist, both exerting painful pressure and restricting her movements. Lily abruptly filled her lungs with air, thereby dispersing the blood in her body.

Abruptly moving her left arm back, she intended to send a back elbow strike into Teuila's ribs. Given the speed with which the Samoan woman was acting, Lily had no doubt that her opponent would have time to shift the right to avoid damage. Therefore, ahead of events, she intended to throw her right arm back and up, using another back elbow strike, but aimed at Teuila's head.

Rushing at Lily as the black haired woman did the same Teuila would duck down, managing to avoid Lily's initial punch attempt and get behind her, wrapping her arms arms around the woman for a rear waist lock! Squeezing and pulling on the woman the Samoan girl was about to try and go for some further offense, but Lily was quick to react, swinging her arm back for a elbow! Seeing this Teuila would react and try to turn to avoid the blow, still taking it but not at full force.

Unfortunately for the brunette however what she hadn't expected was for Lily to seemingly not only account for this, but in turn react accordingly, swinging her other arm around to drive a elbow, right into the side of the Samoan girl's face! "UGH!" Teuila cried out in pain from the blow, forced to release her grip on Lily and back up a bit, holding her jaw before clenching her teeth.

That impact had hurt for sure but she was still in this! Shaking her head to clear the stars from her eyes Teuila would try and take advantage of the steps back she had been forced to take by the blow. Turning and spinning as she approached Lily and raising her arm up to go for a discuss lariat aimed for Lily's chest as the woman would turn around. Or so she hoped at least.

Statistics and personal experience played into the hands of the Black Crow. As she expected, Teuila shifted to the side in order to reduce the damage of the first elbow strike. And although the Samoan woman succeeded, it was her mistake, because the second elbow strike connected right with the face.

With a cry of pain, Teuila released Lily, staggering back at the same time. Not wanting to stand with her back to her opponent for even one second, the Black Crow immediately turned around, trying to pick up the pace. Just in time, because despite the blow received, the brown-haired woman took advantage of the situation to spin and wave her arm, thereby sending a lariat into the Englishwoman's chest.

Lily's amber eyes sparkled and she gracefully arched in her back, so that Teuila's arm passed over her face and her opponent ended up behind her. Straightening up to her full height, the Black Crow intended to push off the mat with force to make a jump, at the same time turning to the side in order to send a fast and hard enziguri kick to the back of her opponent's head.

Lily was pretty quick witted, Teuila would give her that. No way that elbow strike combination hadn't been planned and it worked to a T, forcing the Samoan girl back and would have left her vulnerable if she allowed it too. But she wouldn't. Gritting her teeth and pushing forward right back at the English woman Teuila would spin for more momentum to go for a discuss lariat that she was sure would connect!

Unfortunately for Teuila however Lily demonstrated some graceful evasive skill, leaning back to avoid her arm all together! Stumbling forward and turning around to get her eyes back on her opponent Teuila would be immediately met with a kick from her opponent with a enziguri! "Ugh!" Teuila groaned out in pain, knocked backwards by the blow and sent stumbling back into the ropes with a groan of pain, a bit dazed by the blow!

At the moment when Lily's foot crashed into the back of her opponent's head, a loud click swept through the arena. Accompanied by the applause of the audience, who were clearly impressed by such a dynamic start of the match, the Black Crow placed her palms near her head, and then quickly jumped to her feet with the help of a kip up.

It didn't take her long to assess the situation. Thanks to her kick, Teuila not only backed away, but also fell onto the ropes facing the audience. The Englishwoman's amber eyes seemed to shine in the spotlight because she knew exactly how to proceed. She rushed straight towards her opponent and only a very attentive person would have noticed that she was moving slightly to the right of the brown-haired woman.

Without stopping, Lily intended to throw her hands to the top and middle ropes to grab them, and then push off the mat with force. She was going to slip between the ropes and use that torque to send two feet straight into her opponent's face with a tiger feint kick.

[Bare]

'Damn it!' Teuila thought to herself while leaning on the ropes after taking the surprise kick from her opponent. The match had only just begun and she was already taking more hits than necessary and making rookie mistakes as she did so and she hated it! She was here to prove herself, not her critics right! But damn if Lily wasn't quick and clever, all in one curvy, attractive package.

Shaking her head quickly to clear it of those thoughts Teuila knew that she had to focus, Lily was fast but maybe that meant Teuila was stronger, and if she could just take the hits a bit more she was sure she could get an opportunity to strike back and claim some damage back with interest!

Thankfully if there was one thing that Teuila could do it was take damage, unfortunately though her opportunity was still to come as before she realized it she was suddenly kicked off the ropes! "GAH!" Teuila cried out in pain, getting knocked backwards and landing on her back before using the momentum of the kick to roll over and get her feet under her, looking up at Lily with a fierce expressing as if to say bring it on!
