Not So in the Past: Alaina Sanders & Arlise Christiaens

"I would never do any less," Lise assured, the hands on her hips pushing her shoulders higher in pride. One could never insult her by telling her that she did not push her limits in every single match... Well, save for the ones that quickly became a breeze when it was clear she outclassed the opponent. But then, she was only having a little fun with them.

If her gray eyes could brighten, they certainly did when Alaina mentioned that they should have a submission match. One of Lise's absolute favorites... And certainly, a strength of hers. The only downside was if she did claim victory, one might say it was because the match favored her preferred style...but she did not particularly care. The opportunity to bend and squeeze a legend was entirely too enticing of an opportunity for her to deny.

After a suitably dramatic pause, she inched ever closer, so that she and Alaina could only see each others' eyes. "You have yourself a match, Amazon. One I do not plan on losing."

"Perfect. I will see you at the next show. I will not disappoint you either... except for the part where I submit to you. Warm up your tapping hand before next week." Alaina said with a smile as she waved at Arlise, turning to make her way down the hall back towards the locker room.

Alaina was eager to face Arlise. She proved she could handle bigger women, but a flubbery former waitress was a far cry from a powerful, muscular amazon inside those ropes. Still, a fresh rookie hungry to push herself was the type of opponent Alaina needed in order to keep rejuvenating her comeback.
