Asuna Fujino vs. Megumi Mutoh

Asuna donned her wrestling outfit for another match in the LAW arena. This time her foe would be Megumi Mutoh, a strong wrestler, leaning more towards strikes and aerial attacks, as well as possessing a large speed. Asuna did her research and knew she needed to get this to the ground quick or she was done for, as not only was her foe most focused on strikes, she was quite good, with much more experience in the ring than Asuna.

Once she got dressed and ready Asuna's theme music started and she would walk into the ring, waving and smiling to her fans. She didn't have much of a fanbase yet but her appearance, as well as her focus on ground moves, did earn her a few points from some. She walked into the ring between the ropes, continuing to wave to the audience for some more time before going back to her corner as the arena prepared for the arrival of her foe.

Once that happened Asuna would turn her head to the entrance, looking at the entrance of her foe, trying to spot anything that could give her an edge in the match.

Another match for Megumi Mutoh for tonight, and she would be facing a girl named Asuna Fujino. Whoever she was, Megumi was determined to emerge victorious at the end of this match and show everyone that the Genius Mutoh was a champion material. Being well-known for her exploits back in Wrestle Angels, Megumi was quite a big name here in LAW, and she was looking to make quite an impact here by winning matches after matches.

Wearing her one-piece leotard, Megumi waited for her cue to make her entrance before her entrance music, Golden Nocturne, was played, and she saw this as her cue to make her appearance. As she made her entrance, she was greeted by the cheers from the crowd, and she acknowledged their supports by raising her arms as she jogged down the ramp, heading over to the ring, where her opponent was waiting for her.

Once she reached the ring, she would climb up the apron and slip under the ropes, entering the ring before she headed over to one corner, climbing up on it to rouse the crowd some more. Raising her arms, she smiled at them, showing how grateful she was for their supports. She might not be the most personable Angel out there, but she was affable enough that people didn't consider her boring. The fact that she was among the skilled ones within the rank of Wrestle Angels certainly helped.

Stepping down from the turnbuckle, she took a look at her opponent, Asuna. "Show me what you got..." Megumi told the girl as she stood before her, smiling confidently. "Give me your best if you want to defeat me..." There was a hint of arrogance in her tone, but it was already expected from Megumi, one of the former top stars of Wrestle Angels.

Asuna eyed up her foe as she entered the arena. The girl was clearly popular, partly for her good looks, but Asuna could spot the strong muscle under the girl's skin. This would be a tough fight, but Asuna was up to the challenge. Once Megumi was finished with her intro Asuna walked up to the centre of the arena for a handshake. "Oh, I will." Asuna replied smiling. Some trash talk wasn't going to scare her off. "But maybe you'll regret asking for that." She added, with a confident tone. She expected a tough fight. But her foe doesn't have to know.

After the short conversation, Asuna offered her hand for the handshake to begin the match and if Megumi did the same she would stick around to in the centre, looking to start off in close combat, and if that happened she would open the fight with a quick attack, jumping on Megumi to spear her to the ground immediately after the bells rang.

If her foe decided to stay back in her corner, however, Asuna would do the same and approach only cautiously, not having the speed to be confident in an early rush.

Megumi smiled as she heard Asuna's words before her opponent offered her a handshake. Seeing no harm in accepting it, she took the handshake and gave the girl a firm one. Once she let go of her hand, she turned back, returning back to her corner to wait for the referee to call for them and get the match started.

Once the match had begun, Megumi would start the match by circling her opponent, looking for an opening that she could take advantage of before closing in, attempting to lock up with the girl with a standard collar and elbow tie up. She would start by grappling with her opponent first in order to ascertain her strength and would decide what to do next soon after that.

After a firm handshake with her opponent, Asuna fell back to her corner, just like Megumi and got ready to the start of the match there. Once the bell rang she started carefully approaching the other girl, ready to defend against a charge or a strike. However, Megumi's intentions turned out to be different as the girl would soon walk up to Asuna and lock up with the girl in a collar and elbow tie up.

Once in the position, Asuna would use her strength to try and tug her opponent down as Megumi was doing the same. The other girl clearly had formidable strength but Asuna wasn't weak either, and she still had confidence that she could win a grappling match. After some tussle in the tie-up, Asuna would attempt to take down Megumi by ducking low, moving her head to Megumi's chest while also moving her arms low to wrap around the girl, before using her legs to start pushing forward, trying to bring Megumi to the ground.

Both Megumi and Asuna grappled with each other for a while, the soles of their boots skidding against the canvas. But soon, Asuna tried to take Megumi down as she felt her opponent's arms wrapping around her body, and she gritted her teeth, trying to keep herself from being brought down into the mat. Even so, Asuna had gained an upper hand early in this match, allowing her to bring Megumi down.

"Uuughhh!!" Megumi groaned as she hit the mat, but she would not stay idle after that as she would quickly try to get back up before Asuna could move on to her next move. She needed to see what else her opponent would do next so that she could respond accordingly.

After tieing up with her opponent and testing her strength Asuna soon ducked down to take her foe down to the mat. Her push was successful as soon Megumi landed on the mat with Asuna right below her. However Megumi wasn't at all stunned from the hit and would immediately wriggle out of Asuna's arms, as the girl wasn't able to hold her tightly while also focused on the takedown, and after getting free Megumi would attempt to stand up.

However, Asuna didn't want to let her opponent and slip away and as she felt her arms sliding off Megumi's waist she would try to grab onto one of the girl's legs to keep her down on the mat. If Megumi gave her the time to do so she would attempt to flip around afterwards, while still holding on to apply an ankle lock.

As Megumi got up, she felt Asuna trying to grab her leg, seemingly looking to bring her down onto the mat again. This time, Megumi was more prepared than before, and she would use Asuna holding her leg as her leverage to lift herself up before attempting to smack her other foot right into the side of Asuna's head with a quick enzuigiri!

If she was successful in landing the enzuigiri, Megumi would land on her front before kicking her leg to get it out of Asuna's grasp so that she could think of what to do next.

After landing her first hit Asuna would try to grab Megumi's leg in an attempt to get the girl down on the mat and fight her there. However, Megumi was not going that easy. Asuna's first attack didn't cause too much damage and Megumi was ready to fight, using the leg Asuna was holding as a base to land an enzuigiri kick.

The impact on her head was in itself enough to make Asuna lose grasp of her leg and tumble backwards, barely keeping her balance. She would get a good distance from Megumi, holding her head as she tried to recover from the pain. Once she was finally feeling a little better she would adopt a wrestling stance again, looking at Megumi but she would stay put, opting to recover a little more before attacking herself.

Despite taking the enzuigiri head on, Asuna still managed to stay on her feet rather than falling back, and Megumi would quickly get back on her feet with a quick kip up. Then, she looked at Asuna who was staying put, presumably recovering from the kick. Seeing this as her chance, Megumi would rush over to her, looking to grab one of her arms so that she could twist it as she would move behind her, locking her in a hammerlock.

If she was successful in putting Asuna in the hammerlock, Megumi planned to get Asuna down on her knees while she kept on wrenching on her arm in the hammerlock, looking to weaken her shoulder joint that she could target later on.
