A High Class Clash: Velvet (debut) vs Danielle!!

The 25 year old Scandinavian woman started humming as her seconds applied makeup to her face.

Velvet: So, vat do I have to know about my opposition dear cousin?

Cashmere: Her name is Danielle Degardian. 22 years old, 5ft 7in, fighting out of French Riviera. More specifically, the state of Cannes.

Velvet: My age is vell before beauty, from what I heard she is a fashion model..

Cashmere: I vouldn’t recommend asking to collaborate vith her, she has a tendency to fight dirty.

Velvet: Ugh, let me guess.. a spoiled brat born vith a silver spoon in her mouth?

Cashmere: Pretty much, ja.

Velvet: Hmpt, she von’t be much of a problem against my legs.. (She preforms a perfect standing spilt) zey are registered as lethal veapons after all!

Cashmere rolls her eyes as Cap gives Velvet her robe, sunglasses and floof. (aka feather boa)

Stagehand: *Offscreen* Ms Strongfoot, it’s time!

Velvet: Very vell, vish me luck Cashmere..

Cashmere: Break a leg, Velvet.

Velvet: Only if she pisses me off..

As Velvet was putting the finishing touches on her preparations, Danielle was making her own entrance to the ring. She stepped through the curtains to the sounds of cheers and wolf-whistles, flashing a few poses - she turned to the camera, running her fingers through her hair with her hand behind her head, as she soaked in all the attention and adoration of the fans. Being a former model, she could hardly get enough of it - and to know that her good looks could captivate an entire arena was flattering enough to her ego, even if more than half of these people were braindead boors she wouldn't even think of touching. Of course, Dani had a reputation as a ruthless cheater, and as a woman whose wrestling talents were worth less than her looks - and sure enough, there were just as many boos echoing through the air right now. The Frenchwoman looked back at them with a scowl. Whoever dared to boo her clearly couldn't appreciate true art when they saw it. She wouldn't let it slow her down if they had terrible taste!

Danielle descended the ramp on a pair of glittering heels, and as she came to the ring, she seated herself on the apron, taking the time to take them off and slip them under the ring. Then, she slowly got back to her feet, delicately brushing off any dust she could have picked up. Once again, the fans booed, and a few cries of "Get on with it!" could be heard - Dani scoffed; clearly they had to know that a work of beauty couldn't be rushed! Turning her back to their blather, she extended one leg and slipped it over the top rope, then followed with the other, as she made her way to her corner. Now, it was time for this Velvet to make her presence known. But one thing Danielle did know for sure - there was no way Velvet could ever hold a candle to her!

Lights started to flash as So Glamorous by Harlin James & Clav blares through the speakers.

Announcer: This high class headturner from Reine comes from a long line of warriors, and plans to honor her family’s legacy by standing tall against other aristocratic wrestlers in LAW as the strongest, mightiest and glamorous of them all!

Velvet steps out onto her side of the stage in her robe as cameras start to flash.

Announcer: Standing in at 5ft 5in, weighing in at 120lbs and making her LAW debut! The Permafrost Primadonna, VELLLVETTT STRONGGGFOOOTTT!!

The moment her name was called, she removed her robe and sunglasses before blowing kisses the crowd. As the cameras continued to flash, she struts like a supermodel while posing in many different ways before climbing into the ring.

Velvet: Vell, it seems like I vas able to outshine you.. in terms of my entrance of course.

If there was one thing Danielle did not take well to, it was being outdone. The Frenchwoman had resolved to make an impression and turn heads wherever she went - if there was anyone who was getting more attention and appreciation than she was, then that was something she couldn't stand for. That was something that would need to be corrected at the first opportunity - by whatever means necessary!

Naturally, when this match opened up with the announcer declaring Velvet as being the most glamorous of all wrestlers in LAW, it already stoked a fury in Danielle, who hissed through her teeth as she cast a glare at the entrance ramp and balled a fist tightly at her sides. That was an awfully presumptuous thing to say for someone in her debut match, she thought to herself - and if that was truly what Velvet thought, Dani couldn't wait to give her a piece of her mind. But when Velvet actually stepped out to the ring, few would deny that she had succeeded in her goal! The fans broke into cheers as she made her way down, celebrating and snapping photos in her direction - with far more enthusiasm than anything Danielle had been shown! Not only was she dressed for the occasion in a far more elaborate and eye-catching outfit, she had won the hearts of the fans in the way that Danielle only wished she could! Already, she had made Danielle look hopelessly subpar by comparison - and the fans had taken her side! Why, they barely knew her! Danielle's body went stiff, and she trembled with rage as Velvet stepped into the ring. The Norwegian's gloat was the last straw, for Danielle. It was bad enough being upstaged, but she did not come here for Velvet to rub that in her face!

"Rrgh-!! Swine-!" Danielle scoffed, storming closer to Velvet, her whole body trembling with pent-up anger. "By the end of this, we'll see who truly deserves the attention-!" She couldn't even wait for the bell to ring - unable to hold herself back any longer, she threw a slap across Velvet's face! She needed her to know exactly what she thought of her - and that she was determined to avenge this indignity, one way or another!

Velvet: Oh, vhy you little!! (She lunges at Danielle and preforms a DDT) If zat’s how you vant to play it, fine by me! Let us break ze ice!! (She enters her stance as the bell rings)

Even before the match had begun, the tensions were riding high. If there was one thing Danielle did not take kindly to, it was being upstaged - and Velvet, with her elaborate entrance and the cheers she had gotten from the fans to show for it, had definitely stolen her spotlight. The redhead was positively enraged - and she had made up her mind that she was going to pay her back for it, when she cut a slap right across her opponent's cheek! But Velvet was going to keep her streak alive when it came to upstaging Danielle at every turn. She was going to pay Dani back, all right - but rather than match her with another slap, she grabbed her by the head and slammed her head-first into the mat!

"GAAH!!" Danielle let out a scream as she fell against the canvas with a loud thump, and the ring shook against the impact. The crowd broke out in cheers, seeing the hated Frenchwoman get her comeuppance - and that would only enrage Danielle even more! When she rolled up onto her hands and knees, she looked up at Velvet with a scowl, her teeth locked in a grimace of rage. She'd had enough of being pushed around and talked down to! It was time she showed Velvet what she was really capable of!

*DING DING DING*

Seeing that these two ladies needed no further encouragement, the bell rang - and Danielle wouldn't hesitate. At once, she pounced, throwing herself straight toward Velvet's legs to try and sweep them out from under her in a double leg takedown!

Velvet however stood tall against her aggressor and held onto her waist.

Velvet: You’re lucky I didn’t Brisk Slap you, but that doesn’t mean you von’t pay for your insolence!! (She then throws Danielle on her back before entering Mount position and barraging her with mounted punches)

Danielle had flown into a fury from the indignity her opponent had shown her. She wasn't going to let anyone show her up, not in terms of her presentation nor in her in-ring skills! Right now, her opponent seemed to represent everything she hated, and everything she wanted to silence - she was making her look lowly and disgraceful and downright subpar by comparison, and Danielle couldn't stand for it! When she looked back up at Velvet, she was going to put all those emotions and all that anger into fueling her as she put her into her place - and it would carry her forward as she pounced at her foe, attempting to tackle her with one well-placed lunge!

Except not even Dani's fury would prove enough to take Velvet off her feet - the Norwegian held firm, and Danielle would only end up hanging there on her knees, with her weight leaning in against her foe, as she knocked into her body. A few laughs could be heard at her less-than-impressive counterattack, which only made the Frenchwoman hiss under her breath as her body stiffened with anger! But before Danielle could say anything, Velvet had already hurled her to her back! She coughed and groaned as the air was knocked out of her lungs from the impact - and from there, Velvet dropped on top of her, throwing punch after punch in her direction that tossed Danielle's head left and right!

"Ackhh-!! Gaah! Stop! Not in the face-!" she cried out, reaching her guard up to protect herself - but Velvet would surely show no mercy! Eventually, Danielle realized that if she needed to get Velvet off, she'd have to do it herself. Hissing through her teeth, she shot up with one hand to claw at Velvet's eyes, hoping that she could slip through her offensive undetected until it was too late!

Velvet grabs her hand before she could scratch her, and then traps Danielle in a tight armbar.

Velvet: You have brought zis on yourself!!

Dani had hoped that if she struck fast enough, and went for her opponent's weak spots, she might be able to secure some advantage over her more skilled foe - at least, something to even the odds. But Velvet was ready for that, too, and she wasn't about to let her get away so easily! Just as the Frenchwoman's fingers shot out for Velvet's face, she found her hand trapped - and she barely even had the time to gasp before Velvet had flipped her over, trapping her arm between her legs and stretching it out with an armbar!

At once, Danielle's entire arm felt like it was erupting with pain! She threw back her head with a loud bellow, her hips and back arching up off the ground as her body began to writhe back and forth, her legs kicking in the air. Velvet wasn't playing by Danielle's games - if the ex-model thought she could get away with fighting dirty, Velvet was going to pay her back by hitting her where it hurt!

"GAAAAH!! Watch that, you-!!" She tossed her head from side to side, her teeth clenched in a pained grimace. If there was any saving grace about Danielle's predicament, it was that she at least had one arm free - and she would shoot that arm out to grab onto Velvet's leg, trying to dig her nails into her ankle from where she braced the hold with her legs. It was the least she could do!
