Lady Hannya vs Finlay Zeffer - The Gate Of Yomi Opens

Sometimes one needed to try and break away from a confrontation and reassess the situation, even the Ito clan with their relentless belief in best defence was a good offence knew they needed an out here and there. So hence why Hannya performed what she did, it was a decisive strike that left Finlay reeling and allowed the Hannya to break free. Still it seemed that it took just as much out of her as it did to him if her splayed out, near spread eagled frame was anything to go by.

Hannya lay there panting, a layer of sweat visible on the skin that was shown on her gi. Still her hunger and hate wasn't yet satisfied, however she was forced to answer her stamina limits. The lady would turn onto her stomach and got onto her hands and knees, she merely hissed as she gazed at the human who dared to stand before her. Still underneath the demon's anger was an undercurrent of respect, it was this and her current exhaustion that was letting him have a reprieve in this moment.....

Finlay groaned softly in pain after taking that double knee strike from Hannya, the blow leaving him totally deprived of oxygen and in a wreck of pain in the aftermath of the blow. Rolling onto his side and getting a hand on the mat he would try and suck in a breath, thankful that his opponent didn't try and go for a immediate follow up on him. If she had it would have probably been the end of him.

Turning over fully and placing both hands on the mat he would try and push himself up, getting his knees under him and looking up to see that his opponent was in a similar position. Shaking his head to get himself ready Finlay would try and push himself up to get to his feet, wobbling slightly before nodding to himself. Raising a hand up he would wag his fingers at her, gesturing for her to get back up as well to fight him. If and when she did.. he would step forward and throw a punch at her face!

Most fights truth be told didn't last this long when one faced the Hannya, the times where she'd been sighted often had the opponent swiftly demolished before they knew what hit them. The Hannya inwardly had a minor concern that those who knew clan arts might be able to discern her on this public broadcast, she doubted they'd even be able to hinder her even after this battle but still. However the Hannya had to resume her focus against this human daring to stand further against the creature from Yomi.

She stood upright only to be struck straight in the face, her mask doing little to cushion the blow. It was there to conceal her identity and do nothing more, the Hannya let out a loud "Guack!" as she staggered backwards......a few seconds later drips of blood would leak from underneath the mask. Hannya's vision blurred, yet she dug deep and felt her rage and envy bubble over the surface. Her arms moving into her martial arts stance before giving a loud hiss. Then dashing in low and fast before trying to slam a double open palmed strike right into Finlay's solar plexus in an attempt to stagger him!

Finlay breathed heavily after landing that heavy punch on Hannya, but he was still ready. He had to be with how tough and ruthless Hannya was, and he wasn't about to let his guard down before the woman, even when he saw blood dripping down from her mask. It was a good thing too as he saw her hands coming towards him, prompting him to drop his arms down, barely about to at least somewhat block the blow tensing his abs as well to absorb as much of the double palm thrust as possible. Fortunately it worked, but he still had a hitched breath and low groan of pain from the sheer force. Hoping this created at least somewhat of a opening in his opponent Finlay would dart forward, swinging his leg up as he did so to go for a roundhouse kick aimed right at the side of the Hannya's face!

The Hannya smelled blood, not her opponents but rather.....her own. The way the blood leaked under her mask was a chilling sight, she felt her nose was.....off. ajar. Just breathing through it felt like it made a rattling noise and she couldn't just set it back into place lest she compromise herself, that was bad.......but it served to drive Hannya forward like a beating of the drums of war as she sought to drive her offence against Finlay as the toll of war was evident on both their bodies. Even with her blurring vision Hannya kept her focus up and kept a beat on the human.

Finlay came swinging in hard there with that roundhouse kick, time slowed there as his kick loomed right at Hannya's head. If it connected......her mask could shatter.....no. She couldn't let that strike connect, Hannya out of desperation threw up her arms to the side to block. It felt like a hot piece of metal striking her nerves. She let out a loud "Hauhhhhhhh!......." her arms shook from the pain. But Hannya's body reacted on instinct, she used the close nature of her arms to their advantage and slid forward and shot out her right elbow hoping to drive it right into Finlay with a Bajiquan influenced strike and drive into him like a spear!

FInlay and Hannya were in a true war of strikes in this seemingly final stage of their bout. Truthfully with the current state Finlay knew he was in he knew it would all come down to this exchange. Either he would make Hannya fall for good and end up with the win, or somehow the demon would find a way to turn the tables once and for all. One or the other, the winner takes all.

Spinning and delivering a powerful round house kick directly to Hannya he had hoped that would be enough, key word being hoped, but unfortunately it would appear as if the Yomi had managed to block it with her arms. 'Oh shi-' Before his thought could even be finished a brutal counter attack would come in next, Hannya's elbow driving powerfully into his abs suddenly. "GAHHHH!" Finlay cried out, all the air driven from his lungs as he was forced to stumble backwards, clutching his stomach and seemingly stunned from the blow!

The strike that Hannya delivered was one that clearly wasn't a part of the Ito clan's art, but rather stemmed from the way of Bajiquan. The Hannya's form and poised elbow strike was very indicative of that, some might have questioned this as for the most part she had abided by their typical way of engagement. However this was born out of envy itself, envy at the clan that made her yet forbade them to draw on the clan arts. A small part of her bubbled at it and hence mixed the blow in as a subtle spitting on the ground to them should they view it.

Regardless of the sight however the blow was effective, the Hannya briefly paused to witness the human realise his frailty. Wincing at her own as she felt her badly damaged nose rattling in her mask there she bolted forward on her toes there, Finlay would have to gather the air in his lungs there and respond quickly to her advance.....because Hannya would shoot out her right arm in an open handed palm strike aimed right at his solar plexus. Almost appearing to be akin to the yokai monster that sought to reach out with her claw and claim his soul right then and there......

Things were not looking good at all for Finlay after taking that latest blow from Hannya, the air he had in his lungs driven out from his system and leaving him stumbling back, trying desperately to gather his thoughts in any way he could. Unfortunately however Hannya was a demon in the truest sense as she came charging after him, not offering even a moment of reprieve as she pushed her palm out driving it into his solar plexus and sending what felt like a shock wave throughout his system from the sheer force! "Ack!" He asked out in a choked groan of pain, stumbling for a moment before collapsing onto his knees and falling forward, ironically only stopped from falling on his face by his opponent, his forehead now leaning against Hannya's crotch, gasping silently in pain and at the yokai's mercy!

The Hannya hungered for something in this whole match which was to claim the soul of this human, after destroying him in this octagon. That lunging palm strike had been attempt to reap his spirit right out of his body, to plunge into it and yank it out. She had managed to drive her palm right into his chest there and Finlay's howl of pain served as brief music to Hannya's ears and for a brief moment Hannya seemed to think that perhaps that had been it, where she had just plucked his soul out his body to crush in her hand. He fell to his knees and rested close to her, close to what a human would call a sensitive spot.....

Her masked visage glanced down at him there, the Hannya would feel often nothing but envy and hate but there was a brief moment she felt her face under the mask tint red. Ever so slightly. Still such a mercy for Finlay wouldn't be stemming here, not while the hannya donned her mask. Her left hand grabbed Finlay's shoulder as he lay there and tightly squeezed, her mask unmoving in expression as ever. Her other hand rose upwards in a karate chop fashion, intent on then striking down at his head like a katana blade aiming to slice him in half!

Finlay was utterly stunned and left breathless from the palm strike of Hannya. A blow that left him unable to think let alone breathe, leaving him to rest on Hannya's groin, trying to take in shuddering breaths and clutching at his opponent's thighs, trying to do something to recover. Unfortunately however nothing he tried for would be accomplished anytime soon before his opponent backed up and drive a karate chop right down onto the crown of his head!

"UGH!" Finlay cried out in pain from the sheer impact of her chop. A blow that left him dropping down weakly, his head falling and resting at the Hanya's feet. Left groaning and unable to think, let alone speak he was only shown to still be alive by the rise and fall of his abdomen, as well as the occasional twitch of his body. Completely and utterly at the mercy of the demon before him to do with as she pleased!
