"Not all the time, no." Satsuki grinned. "Just whenever I want." She looked out towards the mass of partygoers. Neon glimmers bounced off gold and silver, rings and necklaces. Satsuki leaned back into the arm of her low fabric chair, nestling into that back corner to stay nuzzled just enough to her shy little Dynamite Schoolgirl. "Took a lot of winning. In all sorts of places, if you can believe it." Her hand waved past that point, as if to leave it to Yuki's imagination. "And now? Sitting in this seat, it's like being a CEO -- or so I hear. No responsibilities, more clout than I deserve, and anything I want within arm's reach."

"...Including a bottle of wine -- no, soju," Satsuki quickly corrected herself, turning to the waiter. They'd already had some bubbly in the limo, after all. And while soju wasn't exactly hard stuff, it fit the underworld better than a flute of golden bubbles... Not like they didn't have some pretty fancy wine in the back, mind you. "Make it apple, if you have it. And, uh." She shifted her eyes towards Yuki, flicking back and forth between her captor and the shiny silver carafe at the center of their table. "Keep an eye on our water, yeah? My friend for tonight is a bit of a lightweight. We'll take it easy, but keep the hydration coming if you can."

Satsuki grinned dumbly as the well-dressed yet nearly invisible man slinked away to fill their order. "Sorry if that was embarrassing. Funny, though, isn't it? LAW thinks you should be the one doing that to me, right? Anyway, you'll thank me later. I think we'll both want to remember these last 24 hours."

She leaned back onto the arm of her seat. "...Buuut. Back to the point. In a way, this is my life. You might be surprised, though, that none of it matters to me. The club, I mean. It's not even mine. I just sit up here because I've robbed a few hundred gangsters blind while huddled around a box or table stacked with cards. But that's what I'm getting at. This place, my cars, my penthouse... It's interchangeable, really. It's a physical, touchable, drinkable, danceable thing... that represents everything I've won up to this point. Everything I've won from everyone else." Satsuki's eyes gleamed in the dark, mischief and danger. "Surely that's a familiar concept to you, isn't it, Miss Former Number One Contender?"

"No, uh...I believe it." Yuki stared off into the distance, still taking in all the sights and sounds, all the lights and colors that lit up the floor beneath her. By all accounts, Yuki was in the best seat of the house. She had a view of the whole underlevel of the casino, where she could look out and see all the games being played - all the exotic, elusive, and illustrious clientele who called this place their home. Everyone here was more rich and famous than she could ever hope to imagine. Champions of industry, kingpins of the underworld - and yet, overlooking all of them was her. Yuki Kazikura. An unassuming, upper-middle-class girl barely out of high school, who just happened to be a perennial main-eventer in LAW. With every order Satsuki gave to their waiter, it only made her feel more and more out of place. Fine drinks, luxurious facilities, and a beauty by her side who knew everything there was to know about living the high life. There was something unnatural about her being in what should've well been the place for someone who was the center of the world, and she didn't know what to think about it.

She did blush as Satsuki brought up her being a lightweight, instinctively moving to hide her face behind her hands, before she realized that doing so would only draw more attention to herself and cleared her throat, sitting up a little straighter. But at least Satsuki was watching out for her. Yuki didn't drink much - she didn't have any interest in it, and even if she did, she barely had the time - so she could appreciate that she was being considerate. She was thankful that she was willing to take charge of the order, too, considering Yuki was so new to this she didn't know the first thing about what she should look for. As soon as the waiter was out of the way - enough so that Yuki didn't feel like she would look too much like a hopeless dork - she looked back up at Satsuki with a grin of her own, and it was a grin she was relieved to see that Satsuki shared. "I mean, a little, but...thanks for doing that for me." She giggled just a little to herself when Satsuki brought up what a reversal this would be from what anyone wold expect from a POW match. But the fact that Satsuki was willing to be so light-hearted and casual about it all...that gave Yuki hope. Maybe this was intimidating, maybe it was new to her, but at least Satsuki understood just how much she was in over her head, and she was willing to let her go at her own pace.

As Satsuki continued her story, Yuki leaned in a little closer. For all this casino meant for her, and for how amazing she found it, what was perhaps even more striking still was that to Satsuki, it wasn't even important. That there was so much more, so much that Yuki couldn't even begin to imagine - and how even that meant so little, in the grand scheme of things. When she brought up robbing a few hundred gangsters like it was nothing special at all, that made the girl's eyes grow wider as she stared back at Satsuki in wonder. "R-Really? You did that? But that's...I could never do that! You have to be really brave...I mean, weren't you ever afraid they'd...get back at you?"

She bit her lip, shrinking back nervously into her seat at that thought. But it was what Satsuki said next that gave Yuki pause. That Satsuki had won it all from others. Just as Yuki had wanted to win the title from Rose. And just as Rose had won it from Aoi.

She sat a moment longer, the gears turning in her head. Surely, if she'd gotten these sorts of places off of gangsters, they were better in her hands, right? But was it really so sustainable? Just taking everything? She thought back on all of her losses, and how each one of them felt like it was taking away her shot at going somewhere, of making herself something. But that threw her wins into perspective, too. Every time Yuki won, was she taking that moment of victory away from someone? Did they feel as hurt as she did when she lost? Did they, too, question if they rightfully had a future? And if she did beat Rose for the title - surely, she thought, it was better off with her than with someone who reigned with the terror Rose did. But what then? Would every victory she made along the way be crushing someone else's dreams? Was that how Rose Gold became...well, Rose Gold?

After a long moment of thought - it felt longer than it truly was - where Yuki stared down at the floor and shuffled her feet, she looked back up at Satsuki. "So did you ever, like...feel bad about it, then? About taking all this?"

Re: Now What? Satsuki & Yuki POW Aftermath

Satsuki hummed. Did she feel bad about winning? The answer was 'no,' of course. There was no way in hell the Queen of Clubs would regret a poker game just because some indebted twenty-something put up his house to try and make a quick buck.

But somehow, she didn't think that was the answer Yuki was looking for. She'd faced a few bad losses in her time, and she'd probably felt the same kind of doubt a lot of people do when they're against the wall. Satsuki rarely let herself be cornered, but she tried to put herself in Yuki's shoes anyway. Then she thought for a moment, looking out at the club's pulsing neon and the waves of people it lit.

Finally, she turned back to Yuki. "Just because I wanted to kill you in that ring doesn't mean I held any ill will towards you. Just because I wanted to turn you into the latest fresh-outta-high-school JAV star on national TV after I won -- it doesn't mean I'd have done it out of spite." She laughed, as if reminiscing on a summer vacation memory instead of the alternate outcome of a high-stakes POW match. "Hell, I barely knew who you were before we threw down."

"All I knew was that you were good. Like, 'one of the best in the world' good. That's exactly what I'm after here in LAW. That's why I take." Just then, a bottle of soju slid across the table. Satsuki flipped the waiter a poker chip -- ten thousand yen -- by way of a tip. Then she poured out two shots of the apple-flavored rice wine and handed one to Yuki.

"The important part isn't that I want something you have. It's that you want something you have. A family sword, or a championship belt. Or maybe just your pride as a competitor." That was the real wager of last night, wasn't it? Not their bodies. Yuki's pride as a lightweight pillar was staked against Satsuki's rising star. "Then, when you put it up for wager, you'll fight like hell to make sure I don't take it from you. That's the game I play. I played it with you, same as I played it with dozens of other people. From poker to fighting games to professional wrestling."

"So do I feel bad? Not for a second. It's not like I take things by force," she said, answering both Yuki's immediate question as well as the one hanging as to whether she feared reprisal. "I just beat really rich people at poker games. Whatever money, heirlooms, or penthouses they put up? That's on them. It wrecked some of them, sure." Especially before she'd started playing at Yakuza clubs, back when she played fellow hustlers and street rats in Osaka. She left that part out, of course. "But they made the mistake of going against me when the chips were down. That's not my problem..."

Satsuki raised her shot glass with a knowing smile. "...Unless they beat me -- and take my lunch money instead."

"W-Wait, you wanted to what!?" Yuki was honestly thankful that their drinks hadn't arrived by this point, because if she had been drinking everything, she would've surely spat it all over Satsuki in shock. She jumped up in her seat, and her face turned as red as her dress. But it was what Satsuki said a moment later that brought Yuki back down to earth, and as the blush faded from her cheeks, she stared off into space, her eyes growing wider. Satsuki had just called her one of the best in the world. Her immediate impulse was to push that honor away. Surely, Satsuki was thinking of someone else. Maybe Yuki was good, but she couldn't possibly have been that good. She didn't feel like a world-class talent. She felt like what she'd always been - a young wrestling prodigy who still considered herself no different than any of the fans. She didn't bask in the attention or live the high life; that was why she felt so out of place here.

"No, really...I wouldn't say I'm-" But then, Yuki stopped herself. She needed to stop making excuses, she told herself, and have faith in what Satsuki said about her. Satsuki had chosen this occasion because she thought Yuki was worthy of it. And when she had seen Yuki at her peak performance, when she was throwing everything in her power into the pursuit of victory, into proving herself, then she had seen all she needed to see to judge the girl's skills for herself. If she thought Yuki was the best around, she undoubtedly had the grounds to do so. Maybe Yuki really was one of the best in the world - and maybe, she really did deserve to be here.

Listening closely to every word, she scooted a little closer to Satsuki. She nodded to her as she lifted the wine glass, and she followed her gesture, mostly to fit in. "Cheers," she said - she'd never actually had to do that before, but she knew it was what people said in these sorts of situations, so she needed to play the part. Then, she took a drink. She winced at the feeling of the alcohol running down her throat, hot and stinging almost, and she lifted a napkin to her mouth to stifle a cough - but she swallowed regardless, and sat back up straight like nothing had happened. She was still getting used to this, but it was...nice. "That's...wow. That's really good, actually..."

There was one thing that was lingering in Yuki's mind, though - one thing Satsuki had said. It wasn't the part about her playing fighting games (though, admittedly, Yuki was tempted to ask if she might be amenable to a game some time), as surprised as she was to hear that. It was what Satsuki was saying about the two of them wagering their honor and their pride - when she heard that, she could feel it strike a chord right through to her soul. She knew exactly what Satsuki was talking about, because she had felt it so many times herself. In that moment, she and Satsuki had met on common ground - for as great the differences between them seemed, for as little as Yuki's quiet modest life seemed to have in common with the grandeur and opulence of Satsuki's domain, they could still recognize in one another that same drive for success. For proving themselves.

"...You know..." Yuki began to swirl the wine in her glass. "It's funny you say that. Because...to me, it kinda feels like every match I do has something on the line. I'm...always wagering my pride, really." She took in a deep breath, letting it out in a sigh as she looked back down. "It's why I do what I do, and why I feel that need to succeed, no matter what...I feel like if I can't, I'm just not good enough. And if I lose, well..." Her eyes turned toward the surface of the table, away from Satsuki, as she bit her lip with a wince; she didn't want to look her in the eye as she admitted such vulnerabilities in herself. "I can't help but feel that means I didn't measure up. But when I win...it's like a vindication of everything I've worked for. It makes me feel like I'm doing things right."

"You're not wrong." Satsuki drained her soju-jan in one easy tilt. The rice wine filled her with the slightest hint of heat to go along with its sweet apple flavor. The brand wasn't anything special; soju was trendy enough to sell no matter the name on the glass. "Or, at least, I'm not gonna tell you you're wrong. It's like I said. Everybody's got their own line in the sand. I'm here to face down the world's best and cross it until all they want to do is stop me."

Satsuki poured herself another drink. "Finding it is the first step, of course. Claudia Augustina. 'Symbol of Love.' You know her?" She swirled the soju in the glass, letting out a noise somewhere between a scoff and a chuckle. "She's... very attractive. Evidently, she thinks the same of me. Not that I'm surprised." Satsuki winked at Yuki and stuck out her tongue. "Anyway, when we were rolling around in that ring, all... close to each other and stuff, one thing led to another, and... The match changed. I figured out what she wanted out of me, and more importantly, I figured out what she wanted out of herself. I tried to deny her that, and the fight was on."

"...It backfires sometimes, though. There was this other girl I fought, Mikan Tsumiki." Satsuki grimaced. "Turned out, her most desperate want was for me not to hit her. Hard to have a compelling fight when that's the case. She basically ran the other way and gave me the win." Satsuki took another shot of soju, then slid the bottle over to Yuki with a hum. The Dynamite Schoolgirl had proven herself more than an able competitor; Satsuki definitely wanted a runback. Learning more about her was the natural next step, wasn't it? "Do you have anything like that? Anything that you just... shrivel from?"

Yuki had to admit - there was definitely something cool, perhaps even a little bit awe-inspiring, in seeing Satsuki down her glass in one fell swoop, when she herself had gotten burned on it. For as much as Satsuki wanted her to step into her role as a main-eventer, and for as much as she wanted to help bring Yuki's confidence out of her, the dark-haired girl still had a ways to go - and the thought of one day being where Satsuki sat right now seemed almost unthinkable. Unthinkable...but enticing, if this was what Satsuki got up to. Her eyes went wide as she stared toward Satsuki for a few moments longer, before she stopped and cleared her throat, noticing the gaffe she was making. She didn't want to be rude.

She was, however, quite interested in what Satsuki had to say about her opponents. And what stuck with Yuki the most was that Satsuki didn't seem to care about the money or the accolades she got from winning, or even just the self-satisfaction of knowing she was where she needed to be - no, Satsuki was only in it for the thrill of the fight. At first, she opened her mouth, about to raise a question - it seemed incongruous that someone who lived such a rich and lavish lifestyle would turn down fame and fortune. But the more she thought about it, the more she supposed that was understandable. Satsuki, clearly, already had fame and fortune. She could afford to forget about the consequences of winning and losing and focus on life in the moment. Yuki blinked a few times to that - there was something to be said about it, she thought. After all, she tended to take her losses pretty hard. If Satsuki could step away from the outcome, and only worry herself with whether or not the match excited her, she couldn't help but envy that.

And it was what Satsuki said next that thrust those feelings to the forefront of Yuki's attention. The moment she heard those words, she glanced down and let out a sigh. Satsuki didn't know the half of it. Yuki did have plenty of accomplishments to be proud of, yes - besting Satsuki had been one of them. But it was knowing that she could accomplish so much that made it all the harder when she still gave everything her all, and came up short.

Yuki glanced in the direction of the soju bottle Satsuki had passed her, her gaze lingering on it for a moment, but then she went and poured herself another cup. Rather than drinking it right away, though, she just let it sit there, as she let out a sigh that made her sink lower in her seat. "...Yeah," she muttered. Her voice had grown softer now - not even she truly wanted to hear herself say what she was saying. "It's...just that I've been in some matches that I just can't...let down," she said. "No matter how much time passes, or what happens...I still feel bad about them. Like I should've done more...maybe even that I couldn't have done more." She sagged in against the table a little more, not even making eye contact with Satsuki. "And that's kind of stuck with me. Made me worry if I'm really as good as I want to be. I've wanted to make things right, I've wanted to set the matter straight, but...I worry if I even can. I don't...even want to think about them, really. I don't like to be reminded of my shortcomings..."

Yuki didn't even want to admit what matches she was talking about. But she gulped, thinking of what Satsuki had said. Was she really just a Mikan after all? Was this proof of that?

Re: Now What? Satsuki & Yuki POW Aftermath

Post by FreestylePoet »

Satsuki wasn't sure what someone like Yuki would be scared of. She was a normal girl, with a normal house and a normal family and a normal life (save for being one of the best joshi wrestlers in the entire world). Everything Satsuki wasn't, and everything she'd never been. There was no wondering where her next meal would come from, or how to avoid the biggest thug on the block. There was no high-stakes social game with people who could hire hitmen or buy your home. So what was it? Dating? Taxes? Maybe there was crime in the back of Yuki's head, but Satsuki had run with the worst of the worst. For everyone like the Dynamite Schoolgirl that they affected, there were ninety-nine more whose names we'd never know.

It almost made too much sense that, at the end of the day, it boiled down to workplace troubles. Of course, their shared place of employment was one of the top combat leagues in the world; being modern gladiators was a scary profession to most, Satsuki supposed. This was more than that, though. Yuki was one who, at her own admission, staked her pride whenever she fought. By the same token, losses would no doubt weigh on her.

But there was more to this than just that, Satsuki sensed. Some specific angst, one loss among even her small handful that she wore like an iron chain. Satsuki sighed. Maybe she'd learn more about it some day, but... Well. She was the prisoner here, not the warden. Interrogations could wait until the tables were turned.

"Lucky for you, I'm not one to look up all the juicy details on people I wrestle. Mind games are fun, but so is figuring out how to play them on the fly. I'm not one to pry, either... If you don't wanna talk specifics, no skin off my back. All I know is this..." She knocked back another shot. It wasn't the hard stuff, so even a small girl like her needed a good amount to get buzzed. "For one, just because something weighs you down doesn't mean it has to hold you back. If you want to make things right and get your runback? Do it. If you're so pissed off about your mistakes, do something about it."

"And for two: Getting your ass beat doesn't actually change anything about how good you are. Check yourself out. You took that bad loss or whatever. But you can still waltz into a PPV and..." Satsuki trailed off with a giggle. Her blood was warm with rice wine. What use was liquid courage to someone who scaled rooftops and wrestled the best fighters on Earth? As it turned out, it was worth enough. She slunk up from her chair and walked over to Yuki's side of the table.

Then she draped herself across the wide, plush armrests of Yuki's seat, one underneath Satsuki's thigh and the other beneath her upper back. The rest of her was square in the Dynamite Schoolgirl's lap. Satsuki raised a hand up and placed it on Yuki's cheek. "You still won yourself a hot date with one of the deadliest women in the underworld." A little bit of hyperbole never hurt anyone. Except maybe someone as normal as Yuki. "And as for me? The one who took that loss? I'll be more proof soon enough... Because I will get my runback too."

Re: Now What? Satsuki & Yuki POW Aftermath

Post by CaptainL »

Even if Yuki hadn't mentioned any specific losses by name, she knew exactly what she was referring to. And if Satsuki was following her career, Yuki was sure she could probably reason a guess too. Rose Gold. We Are LAW 3. It was a match that would surely live on in infamy as the start of Rose's reign of terror - before she had taken out Aoi Fukiwara, before she was the Lightweight Champion, she had turned on the world in her match against Yuki, and first announced her true colors in a match that had left Yuki succumbing to fear and panic, and leaving herself wide open for Rose to dominate and humiliate her until she had no choice but to beg for mercy before the world. And from there, things had only grown worse - Rose had come to become one of the most feared and hated heels in LAW, and there was many a rookie who rued her name.

In the months and years that followed, Rose had ceased to be any other memory for Yuki. She had become the white whale; the one that got away. The dark-haired girl asked herself time and time again - if she had won back then, if she hadn't let her fear paralyze her, would she have been able to stop Rose in her tracks? Would Rose have even been where she was now, if Yuki had managed to stand up to her?

Yuki knew full well that, if anything, she should have learned from her experiences. She should've learned to be stronger; to not let herself be ruled by fear. And yet, she was still afraid of Rose. As soon as she was faced with the prospect of actually going up against her in a match, Yuki locked up at the thought of being through all she'd been through again. Rose knew it, too - even appearing had been enough to cost Yuki the Lightweight Classic. Yuki's loss against Rose had weighed on her, and it had informed every action she took as a wrestler from that day forward. She had been determined to prove she wasn't afraid of Rose - that she could still beat her; that she still had what it took to live up to her example. And yet, when push came to shove, she couldn't find that strength in her.

But if anyone believed Yuki could do it...it was Satsuki.

After all...Yuki had just beaten her., in the most high-profile event of the year.

The more Yuki thought about it, the more she realized it - Satsuki was right. Maybe she really was being too hard on herself. She might have faced some hard losses along the way...but she had made some great victories too. As long as she was still making those victories happen, she was proving she had it in her. She could still make lightning strike twice.

Maybe even against Rose Gold.

Yuki didn't want to believe it. Out of instinct, her first impulse was to tell Satsuki that she was wrong - that she really was hopeless; that Satsuki was wasting her time on her. But then, if that was true...would she really be here? Would she really be living the life she was - the life Yuki never imagined she would ever experience? Would this all have happened if she hadn't earned it? Yuki couldn't brush it all off as dumb luck. No, this was the product of her merits.

"Y-Yeah...I guess you're right..." Yuki mused aloud. She was staring off into space - which meant that when Satsuki got up from her seat and started to walk around to hers, Yuki didn't know quite where she was going. "Hey, what are you-" What she didn't expect was for the gambler to outright hop into her lap!

"W-Whoah..!!" Yuki wasn't expecting them to get this close! Her face flushed as red as her dress as she reeled back in her seat, her heart jumping a beat in her chest. And yet...she didn't exactly mind, either. Something about this felt...nice. Whether from knowing she did have hope for a brighter future, or feeling how close Satsuki was, or maybe even just the feeling of Satsuki's ass, this gave the girl a moment of peace. And even if Yuki asked herself what, exactly, Satsuki's plans for this date were...she couldn't say she was wrong about what she said. Yuki had won this. Entirely on her own merits.

"But...yeah. You're right..." After the initial shock wore off, Yuki let out a deep breath and settled into her seat. "I shouldn't let this get to me. Not the way it is. I guess...I should thank you...you're really saying everything I needed to hear." Yuki really did feel grateful for everything Satsuki was saying...even if it was a little awkward with her perched in her lap.

"Ah, so...what's next, for you, you think? You have your next opponent lined up? Or anyone else on your radar?" Yuki just needed to act natural, she told herself, and make small talk. Satsuki had already given her a jumping off point she could latch onto. She just needed not to let the whole lap thing get to her.

Satsuki didn't know how to talk to a normal person, much less date one. Even if this date was Yuki's prize at best and Satsuki's captivity at worst. Not that Satsuki felt much like a prisoner (the stinging bruises from her loss aside). After all, showing Yuki another world was proving to be kinda fun. Especially now; drinking with Yuki and diving deep into why and how they fought... It wasn't so bad. Nor was the way she sighed and lavished Satsuki with thanks, even though all she'd done was acknowledge Yuki's penchant for kicking ass.

She considered Yuki's words for a moment. Finally, Satsuki giggled and shook her head. "You're cute when you're flustered. Or, well, as long as it's not in the ring. Lose your way with me again in there, and I might not think it's worth snapping you out of it." Another laugh, sweet and warming as the soju as it fell from her lips. "Really, though. Never had a pretty gambler laying in your lap? Maybe you should win a few more of these POW matches!"

"As for your question? Hmmm..." Thoughts like these deserved a finger on the chin; at least, that's what the movies taught her. Tap, tap, tap. "Who's next in line, I wonder? Well. I'm a little like you. I don't let go of losses easily, if only because I know they'll give me a good time. You weren't the first, by the way. Claudia made me a bit of a puddle. I always get mine back in the end, though. So you should probably watch your back," she said simply. "Outside of that? Who can say? You set the bar pretty high, you know. I can't easily forget that... much less top it."

She sat up in Yuki's lap, leaning elbow-wise on the cushy seatback. "For now, though... What else do you have planned for your prisoner?"

Cute. Satsuki thought she was cute. No matter how much the gambler might have been trying to reassure Yuki, her words were only making her even more flustered, and the red of her face deepend a few shades as she bit at her lip, her body tense. She knew that these POW matches could get...steamy, afterward, but she'd never anticipated this one taking such a direction. Satsuki had, after all, been remarkably patient with Yuki, not wanting to force her into any decisions she might be uncomfortable with - not that she would really have the authority to do so, considering that, by the rules of the match, Yuki was the one calling the shots, even if she had put Satsuki in the drivers' seat for much of this. Still, Satsuki was flirting with her. Yuki didn't even realize she felt this way about her - in fact, she didn't even know why Satsuki would. She had more money and more authority than Yuki could ever have dreamed of, if she had all of this at her disposal. She could have anyone. And yet, she'd gone for her? Just a common girl trying to get by in the world?

Still, as Satsuki reminded her, she couldn't let that nervousness get the better of her. Yuki knew as much as Satsuki did that she put forth her best performance when she could remain focused; getting flustered was only going to cost her. She glanced aside, mumbling the words under her breath; she didn't like to think too hard about her shortcomings. "Yeah...I know. I need to try to be better about that..." But she gulped. Yuki's ultimate goal was still Rose Gold - and that was a match she couldn't afford to get flustered in.

Of course, Satsuki would soon give Yuki a convenient distraction when she brought up her needing to win more POW matches. She sat up straighter in her seat; she fidgeted her feet around nervously, only to stop when she remembered that Satsuki was sitting in her lap and could feel that. "Ah, sorry-!" she muttered. But when Satsuki went on to mention that she had set the bar, and that the next match would be hard to top - that made Yuki's eyes grow a little wider, and she stared off into the distance. She might have thought of Satsuki as the glamorous, illustrious person she could only hope to even come close to - but to Satsuki, Yuki was equally deserving of those honors. She'd always been so modest and so outspoken that thinking of herself in those terms just didn't feel right. But maybe Satsuki was right - maybe she did need to give herself more credit.

With Satsuki asking her what she wanted to do next, Yuki cleared her throat. She'd got lost in her thoughts again. "Right, right-! Well...hm." It immediately dawned on her that she didn't really know what she would want to do next. This was all so new to her. She'd never been in any place as loud and as bright and as active and as fun as this. But...it was her call. And Satsuki did want her to live a little.

As she stared off in the distance, Yuki's eyes lingered on the dance floor far below them. It did look like fun. "Maybe...we could try dancing?" Almost immediately, she froze up - it hit her all at once that that was probably going to look more flirtatious than she envisioned. Quick, she needed an excuse to get out of this! "Uh...I don't know if I'd be any good, though-!"
