Getting used to taking a beating was part of the course for any fighter that treated their art seriously and Kate, despite what her age might suggest, has been doing it long enough to understand how to deal with discomfort like that, and more importantly, how to bounce back. Though admittedly, in the past, when she was taking a beating, her foes tended to still be somewhat careful whereas Mindy seemed to almost completely disregard her. This was equal parts useful and infuriating to know, the latter part only accentuated by her words.

"You really like to hear yourself talk, don't you?" Kate asked in a frustrated tone as she made her way back into the ring, jumping onto the apron and sliding between the ropes as she made her way straight for her opponent. As she did she prepared to throw a right hook at her opponent's head, an obvious enough move and logical with all the taunting she's been subject to. Except, it would never connect as Kate would pull it short of the target, letting her momentum instead carry her to turn and add to the actual angle of attack in the form of a spinning backkick aimed directly at the other woman's gut!

The crowd's vitriol grew from Mindy's disrespect and taunts, she didn't pay her opponent any attention and continued to deny them the match they wanted. She wanted to continue to act flagrant to the threat Kate was to remind them that she was the star and that nothing was threatening enough to get in her way anymore. She heard the foolish rookie speak to her calling her out again, sighing and turning to shut her up once again only to see her charging at her. "So does half the world baby, that's why my movies and show sell." Mindy taunted, bringing her hands up to block the kick coming to her head, then her smirk going away when she saw Kate turn her body and go for a kick that was going to her abs.

"Ugggh!" Mindy gasped, jumping back and bringing her hands to her belly. The kick put a dent in her abs and took the air with it, she coughed for a second trying to recover. Thankfully she wasn't completely winded and her arms soon came back up, still ready to fight back if Kate came at her, which she likely would after a kick like that.

There was a part of Kate that wanted to charge in after the kick, just let loose but she didn't. Instead with a measured step she advanced forward, putting her left arm further in a long guard somewhat reminiscent of some boxing stances, her fingers splayed out to mess with her opponent's vision as much as possible. Her opponent might be playing and thinking she's too good for it, but for Kate, every fight was real and now, this one was getting personal.

"Shame you don't have a stunt man for this" She threw out, hoping to prod Mindy's ego a bit as she got in range, almost close enough to touch her opponent with her outstretched hand, then she'd take a step forward, letting her boxing experience do the talking as she fired a right hook at Mindy's head. Regardless if it hit or not, she'd then attempt to grab one of the woman's arms to pull it down from the guard as she advanced even closer to deliver an elbow strike to her opponent's head, making sure to open her palm, making the elbow narrow enough to possibly tear skin before then trying to finish the combo with a knee to the gut!

Kate was finally getting some action that didn't involve taking more of Mindy's insults, the actress didn't like it. The former Young Lioness got a little cocky after her kick and tried to insult the star, making Mindy see red and try to give her a piece of her mind. Kate didn't leave her any time too getting close and trying to punch her right after her insult, forcing Mindy to try and dodge the punch before she got knocked out. She tried to step away when Kate yanked on her, having grabbed her arm in the mix up and forced her to stay close and take an elbow to the face.

"Agggh!" Mindy groaned, head turning from the elbow. It felt like bone met skull and ringed her, with whatever flesh that was between them being cut through to leave Mindy dazed for a second, letting Kate follow that up with a knee. "Uuggh!" Mindy gasped, jumping off her feet from the knee spiking her up and making her fold. She leaned into Kate for a second, trying to get back upright before Kate punished her for being this close.

As Kate started to take action and wail at Mindy, her frustration only seemed to grow. This was supposed to be a match and this woman decided to turn it into a mockery, not only of Kate herself but frankly of everyone working hard to get the spot they deserved. So when Mindy finally folded after the knee strike, it came both with a tinge of satisfaction and a hunger for more as she'd reach to lock her fingers around the woman's throat, right beneath her jaw, bringing her to eye level just for a second.

Immediately after, Kate's other hand would go to Mindy's belt and with both hands she'd rip the woman off her feet, hoisting her in the air before throwing her down to the ground with all the strength she had in a chokeslam. After that, she'd walk over the woman, towards the ropes on one side of the ring and turned back. "You're disappointed, right? Wanted a shot at the title?" Kate sneered, the anger in her boiling over "Well, I wanted a match, instead I'm stuck here running an ego check on some washed-up starlet that thinks she's too good for this!" She continued as she leaned down before getting back up to her full height. "So come on! Show me that championship material you think you are. Or are you only good at spewing hot air?”"

She stayed hunched over until she was forced to look at Kate again by the so-called Combat wombat making her look at her eyes and seeing her jealous anger flare through her eyes. Mindy was held by the throat and shorts before she was lifted off her feet and thrown down with a chokeslam, by a fellow Middleweight. "Uuaaaggh!" Mindy screamed, hitting the mat back first and spiking off it to turn to her side and try to move away from Kate while protecting it from further attacks. Kate grilled her instead, trying to hurt her with words, as if someone like her would ever flinch for the critics. She would get close to the ropes to use them for safety and support for her to get back up.

"Everyone loves talking about my acting career as if it's finished. Do you idiots think I'm here because I can't make it on TV anymore? How pathetically ill informed can you get? I'm here because I can do both, and better than any of you can do one of those things!" Mindy said, slowly rising back up and glaring back at Kate. "So are you going to say something smart or steal more material from your loser girlfriend?!" Mindy taunted stepping off the ropes and closing in on Kate by going for a big kick.

Kate scoffed hearing the last line from Mindy, Kate's words might not have cut quite as deep as she hoped but it definitely got an effect, and that was enough. "And yet, she's the one fighting Kyoko tonight. So, who's the real loser here?" She continued as she observed Mindy going for a huge kick aimed at her and smiled as she stepped forward at an angle, letting it glide just past her as she stepped side to side with her opponent.

As she was in position, her arm would go up to be across Mindy's chest, she would then push, driving her arm back and downward as she'd go onto one knee, attempting to slam Mindy's back against with a backbreaker! If successful she'd then stand up "Maybe cool your jets princess and start treating it like a real fight. I don't think your insurance covers bruised ego."

Mindy chuckled seeing Kate's face. She hid her emotions well, but not well enough. "She'll make a great recap, once Kyoko's done tossing her around we'll know what not to do. You think the champ will have her screaming the same way I did?" Mindy asked, bringing up the charity event that started the beef between them, of course her words could have other meanings. It was all just to screw with Kate before she attacked her again. Her boot came up, missing only when Kate jumped out of the way, putting her and Mindy to the side of each other and allowing Kate to catch her and toss her back to face a knee.

"Gnngh!" Mindy grunted, bending over the knee and rolling off it to get to the mat. She laid there to watch Kate stand around and wait to throw more taunts. Her spine was still hurting from the spinebuster when instead of complaining she chuckled at Kate again. "Maybe you should do it first..Why are you giving me a warning instead of going after me again unless you want to show off? I don't see a reason to do anything different just because I get hit a few times." Mindy said, taking a beating now for not shutting up was still worth irritating Kate with.

Hearing Mindy's comment about Alizeh made landing the backbreaker all the more satisfying. Every word just added fuel to the fire, if Mindy wanted to talk about screaming, Kate could give her something to scream about soon enough. Still, she knew that was the point, make her angry, make her act out and she needed to keep it under control though it would be a lie to say the mind games had no effect just because she knew they were at play.

"Have I already hit you too hard are you really that dense?" Kate asked, looking down at Mindy "I came here for a fight, everyone here came here for a fight!" She continued, gesturing to the audience "And you seem to have run out of chairs and cheap tricks to give it to me. Or do you actually enjoy getting your ass whoped?" She finished walking in to send a kick to her grounded opponent's midsection, hoping to push her closer to the ropes.

Kate ranted, and Mindy stayed down waiting for her opening. She could tell the rookie was getting angry just speaking to her, she never learned how to handle trash talk or if she did the lessons never worked out. When she tried to kick her it was more to get her to get up and provoke her, which is the kind of move Mindy was hoping for. She caught that leg the moment it was close to her and tried to twist it to pull Kate down to the mat.

"Who cares about a fight? Winning is all I need to empower the night." Mindy said as she would quickly wrap her legs around Kate's and adjust her grip with her hands to make it an ankle lock that she could twist and pull on, making Kate suffer now that she had a limb to torture.
