Kiwi Warfare: Finlay Zeffer vs Karen Gale

[Bare]

Karen seemed to have the edge in terms of raw power and brute strength, something that was fine with the blonde, especially when he felt fairly confident that he had the edge in technical skill. Something he felt was far more valuable in a match. As shown when he ducked under her attempted lariat and nailed her with a dropkick that sent her down to her side!

Sitting up after landing on the mat and seeing his fellow Kiwi on the mat Finlay knew this was his chance to take the first definitive lead in this match! Pushing himself up and to his feet Finlay would quickly reach down to grab hold of Karen's legs by the ankles, lifting them up before trying to turn her fully onto her stomach. If successful he would step back while dropping down to lock in a boston crab on her!

Karen's chest stung after having both of Finlay's boots slam into her the way they did. She huffed for breath, cradling her hurting chest with one arm as she tried to right herself. So far, Finlay was proving to be a tricksy, intelligent opponent: the match was barely a minute old and she was already floored.

And Finlay wasn't letting up, either, moving up and grabbing a hold of Karen's yellow boots. Realizing what was happening, Karen tried to kick out to make Finlay release her, but the man her fast onto her boots. Karen cursed, and soon found herself rolled onto her front, her legs bent backward as Finlay locked in a Boston crab!

"AAUUuuuugh..." Karen groaned a her legs and lower back were now being bent painfully, pressing her face and chest down against the mat. With her tanned, powerful legs now being stretched backward under Finlay's arms, Karen would grit her teeth, take several deep breaths, and try to kick out to force Finlay off of her.

If that failed, then Karen would do the next best thing and begin the slow, painful crawl towards the edge of the ring, trying to get close enough to grab the bottom rope...

Finlay was off to a good start so far on Karen, managing to drop his opponent with a dropkick and successfully transitioning right into a boston crab submission. Of course this wasn't enough to beat someone as tough as Karen and he knew it. After all the woman was as fiery and determined as he had expected and thus she began to crawl towards the ropes for an escape.

Seeing this Finlay would wait until they had made just a bit of progress before he would get up and drop her legs in the process. Turning around as he did so while releasing her legs he would bend over, looking to wrap his arms around her waist from above, looking to pull her close before standing, lifting Karen with him in the process! If uninterrupted he would try and throw himself back, pulling Karen with him to try and throw her with a deadlift german suplex!

"Nnnngh...hnnnngghh!" Karen was groaning through gritted teeth now as Finlay worked the hold, her face pressed down against the mat as she dug her elbows in, forcing herself forward, inch by painful inch, in a crawl towards the ropes. She absolutely refused to be humiliated like this so early in the match, and so the powerful Maori girl pulled herself, slowly but surely, towards the ropes....

...and then, Finlay suddenly released her. Flopping to the mat, Karen only had a second with which to catch her breath before Finlay was yanking her to her feet, wrapping his arms around her waist. Alarm bells rang in Karen's head, and she reacted immediately, grabbing one of Finlay's wrists as he tried to grab her and dropping low, aiming to snapmare him hard to the mat! If she managed that, then she would immediately run to the ropes and bounce off, hoping to leap forward and drive her boots hard into Finlay's back as he sat back up!

Finlay had the dominant position over the last few moments of the match, pulling Karen's legs back as much as he could to amp the pain before he was forced to abandon the hold. Preferring to try and keep his momentum going rather than have it be stopped by a rope break from his fellow Kiwi.

However this over zealousness may have worked against him now as when he tried to lift Karen up, he instead found her hands on his own before his head was grabbed and he was pulled down and over her, landing on the mat in a seated position with a snapmare that had him seeing double! "GAH!" All before screaming in pain as her boots then slammed directly into his spine, forcing him to fall onto his side while keeping his back arched, holding it with a wince on his face, unable to react immediately after the blow!

Sitting up after nailing Finlay with that dropkick, Karen took a few vital seconds to catch her breath, noting her handiwork with the way Finlay was now arching his back. Her fellow Kiwi was no slouch in the submission department, she had found out the hard way, and his skill and versatility were pretty damn good as well. Now that she had him down, she'd have to keep hammering him to maintain her advantage.

Standing back up, Karen strode over towards Finlay. "Come up, up you go," she huffed, grabbing a hold of his head to yank him to his feet; tucking his head under her armpit and grabbing the edge of his trunks with her free hand, Karen would arch back, aiming to nail Finlay with a simple but powerful suplex and ram him back-first into the mat!

Finlay hadn't been expecting a counter like that to his suplex attempt, if anything he thought she'd try to power out of the move. Instead he was flung over her and had what felt like a pair of spikes drive into his back, dropping him to his side and leaving him arching his back, unable to respond before his opponent seized him and lifted him up!

Grunting softly in Karen's grip Finlay would find himself subject to his own strategy as his head was tucked under Karen's arm and his trunks grabbed, getting hauled up and through the air before getting slammed down into the mat with a relatively simple slam, but it was made all the more effective by the fact that his back had already been damaged! "Gah!" He cried out, sitting up and holding his back once more before falling over with a groan of pain.

The ring shook as Karen drove Finlay back-first into it, both wrestlers crashing hard into it. Karen could tell, however, that her suplex had had the desired effect, as her male opponent jacknifed up off the mat before toppling onto his back again, groaning in pain. She grinned: after a rough start to this match, it felt good to be the one taking things to Finlay instead.

Moving quickly, Karen rolled across Finlay, her chest pressing down across his as she hooked one of her legs for the pinfall. "Do yourself and stay down, mate," she breathed, "I'm only getting warmed up."

Next to her, the ref started the countdown. "ONE..."

Within moments the tide of the match had shifted dramatically with the positions of Finlay and Karen quite literally being flipped around completely! Karen having slammed Finlay down hard onto the mat with a vicious suplex that left him feeling massively hurt. Perfect for his opponent to drape herself against him, pressing her chest against his own for a bit of a promiscuous pin of her own before she hooked his leg, the ref dropping down to count! Before it could get past one however Finlay would throw his upper body up while twisting sharply to force Karen off of him and break the pin!

Karen honestly hadn't expected Finlay to stay down: even this early in the match, Finlay was proving himself to be a resourceful and tough fighter. True enough, Finlay twisted sharply underneath her, getting a shoulder up and breaking the countdown. Fine by her, she thought, it simply meant that she would have to do this the hard way.

Shoving Finlay onto his front, Karen would move to straddle his back. Moving to slide his arms over her knees, Karen would then try to wrench Finlay's chin back in a camel clutch! "One good submission deserves another, eh?" she growled as she leaned back, torquing the hold as much as she could as she stretched away at her male opponent.
