"...that being said." Rev grinned playfully, thumping Bill on the chest. "I fucking loved our fight! I never get to fight men my size, and you put me through the ringer! You better start preparing for a rematch, because I'm not letting that be a one time thing!" He slung an arm over the man's shoulder, bringing the two closer. It wasn't much, he knew he couldn't solve all of this, but he at least would try to reframe the situation.

"Just...promise to keep the digs at my disability to...zero, please? I got enough of that growing up." The tone was about as jovial as it could get for what the voice was, but Rev was being serious.

"Yeah I uh... Got caught up in the heat of the moment; I'm... sorry."

Thankfully Rev wasn't able to see the immense blush behind Bill's mask; He recalled his cocky tone as he was swinging Rev on the ring ropes and how in power he felt; how cock-sure he was in his victory that he could go for something like that. How unbelievably mistaken he felt now that his opponent was chummily trying to talk to him like they were old pals~ Wait did he say next match?

"Rev I don't think I could go through something like that again-"

Bill was extremely fixated on the negatives it seems; his whole night after he admitted defeat felt like a walk down death row, the thoughts of the intimate moments he shared with his opponent selfishly set to the back of his mind...

"Quite frankly I feel a little... Terrified to even be talking to you. I'm so sorry for anything I did or caused to you- I didn't..."

Bill cut himself off as he sniffled- What the hell was happening to him?

Oh.

Oh shit. Was...was Bill about to...? "No, it's fine, really!" It wasn't fine, actually, but Rev had a hard time putting his foot down on these things. "I'm a bit touchy about it is all!" Most people would be too. A panicked look was in his eyes, his hand rubbing at Bill's back in hopes of calming the man down.

"I'm serious, you don't need to beat yourself up over it! I don't take things said and done in the ring personally; it's just kayfab, right? We swear at and beat each other up in the ring then go for a drink once it's over!" Oh please don't cry oh please don't cry oh please don't-

Bill held his head in his hands. It was clear from his occasional shakes that he was trying and failing to hold back the tears that began staining his mask even more than it already was. If anyone ever saw a man of his caliber like this... His proud and powerful image would be tarnished forever. But in this moment the only man to witness him was Rev. To whom he capitulated as his better this night.

Bill had run out things to say; it was unclear if Rev's presence would be helpful or not to the big man as he continued to break down. At least the comforting rub on Bill's back made him feel a bit more at ease.

A hug was about all Rev could offer at this point. It was... frustrating, not being able to offer more. And yet his own memories of going through similar breakdowns himself made him know just how much such a simple gesture could make.

An alien view point he simply didn't get. Rev himself came on with the full expectation he'd leave the ring bruised even when he won. But still, he'd do his best to make the other man feel comforted in the moment, holding onto him tightly in a hug and rubbing his back.

"... you're doing good, Bill. I really think you're doing good."
