No sooner had the bus come to a stop that the doors opened - and hurrying out was none other than Sheila Chihara, an up-and-coming high-flyer in the Young Lioness Program. For LAW's in-house trainees, excursions like this were nothing new - they were a way for the rookies to get acquainted with different styles of wrestling and broaden their horizons, learning skills they could apply after returning home. But for Sheila, this was something special. She knew that one of the biggest stars of WFPW was her good friend, trainer, and occasional tag team partner William Ashworth, and if he had something to do with this company, she could only expect that everyone else would prove just as fun to be around as he was! Besides...Sheila was a girl who didn't like to sit around doing nothing for too long, and after that flight, she desperately needed to stretch her legs.
"WHOOOO!! We're here!! We made it!~" she cheered, throwing her hands in the air. In her enthusiasm, though, Sheila skipped over a step on the way down to the curb, and her cry of excitement turned into a scream of shock as she began to fall forward - just before her fellow Young Lioness, Meiyun Lai, stepped behind her to pull her arm back, halting her fall.
"Be careful-!" Meiyun huffed. "I didn't expect you to try and get yourself hurt from the moment we got here..."
"C'mon, I wasn't! I can handle myself!" Sheila stopped to dust herself off, but as she looked around and got a feel for her surroundings, her attention soon turned to the towering facade of the building WFPW housed its operations in, her eyes going wide in awe. "Whoah...we're really here, huh? This place is huge..."
"She does have a point, you know," added Michiko Shimizu - who was next to come off the bus. Though she had been at LAW for some time now, Michiko hadn't been the most active of competitors, never breaking out of the infrequent midcard match. But her sense of theatrics and her eagerness to play to the crowd - not to mention her command of hard-hitting power moves - had certainly caught the attention of many, and WFPW was happy to give her a new avenue to ply her talents. "This flight couldn't have been cheap. And if you came all the way here just to hit your head on the way down, you're not exactly putting your best face forward. You don't want them to consider you an unnecessary expense."
"Oh, yeah, and don't touch anything they don't say you can," Meiyun added.
"Heeeey, I won't!! I didn't even say I would!"
"Yeah, but I know you."
While the three girls argued, the next two arrivals would be engaged in matters of their own - Kirie Tsukada and her boyfriend Hiro Yamashida, who descended the steps arm in arm, Kirie hugging herself close to her manager's side with a grin on her face. "Isn't it sooooo beautiful here, Hiro-kun?~" she cheered. "I'm so glad I could spend it with you, too..."
Hiro blushed as Kirie began nuzzling at his side, feeling quite fortunate that none of the others seemed to be paying attention. "We, uh...we're here for business purposes, you know..."
"Hehe, so? Doesn't mean we can't enjoy each other's company too!"
Then, Hiro looked back over his shoulder into the bus - at their fellow excursion-goer, Hana Choi, who was currently - by all respects - fast asleep; her head down, her feet propped up on the back of the seat in front of her, and the sounds of loud snores coming from her. "Uhh...hey, are you coming or not..?"
"Hmm?" Hana looked up - and immediately muted her phone, which was playing the snoring noses. "Oh. Right. Yeah, we are supposed to get off here."
This was far from the first time Hana had played one of her practical jokes on this trip - and Kirie's patience was wearing thinner and thinner the longer she was around her. "I think some of us could take things a little more seriously, though-!"
"Huuh? Who said that? Michiko, was that you?" Hana looked around a moment, then shrugged, completely ignoring Kirie's presence. "...Must've just been the wind."
"HEY-!" Narrowing her eyes in a glare, Kirie took a step forward, her foot falling against the sidewalk with a stomp. "You totally heard that, don't play dumb-!"
"Kirie, hey-! Now's not the time..!" Biting his lip at the thought of things getting out of hand, Hiro moved to pull his girlfriend back.
All of this didn't account for the final member of the excursion - Kayla Grant. She hadn't been on the plane, and she didn't need the ride. Already a native of California, she had been in the area anyway, visiting her sister Haleigh at the house of Haleigh's girlfriend Kennedy Lee. She'd planned on visiting the WFPW headquarters afterward - and as she walked down the sidewalk, her head was turned to the sky, with a lot on her mind. The last time she was in a LAW match, it had led to her partner Ash Daniels interfering, dealing a blow to their friendship and their team cohesion that had ultimately cost them the win. That had left her reconsidering how well the SoCal Connection was working for her, and if she could count on her partner to help her in the future - or if she was just holding her back this whole time. They had never quite seen eye-to-eye, with Ashley's flippant attitude contrasting with Kayla's strong work ethic, but in light of their last match, all their quarrels seemed to hit closer to home. It was a lot to think about for the future...
...And as she turned the corner to see the rest of the excursion bickering amongst each other right in front of the door, she didn't exactly have the best hopes for how things would go from here. Letting out a long sigh, she shook her head. "What did I walk into..?"
