Chasing New Heights: Teuila Masina vs Tsubasa Oribe

Standard Match

Tsubasa Oribe's journey at LAW was a very successful one so far. She debuted at Fight the LAW and pulled of a big upset that quickly got the idol into the eye of the LAW community (courtesy of her opponent being massively overhyped, but Tsubasa wasn't going to complain), then almost immediately after, she had been paid an exorbitant sum of money by a fellow wrestler who had taken an interest in her for a private match.

So all in all, Tsubasa's goal of using wrestling as a means to provide more attention and sources of funding for her idol career was being met and then some. Afterwards, Tsubasa began to settle into more standard bouts, though. Such as tonight, a standard match against a Teuila Masina, rookie who had been up and coming before getting completely wiped by a veteran in her last match. Tsubasa would be her attempt at a rebound.

"Hi LAW fans! You guys ready for another wonderful match?!" Tsubasa called out to the crowd as she made her entrance. She spun around and around as she ran towards the ring, waving to anyone and everyone in attendance. Tsubasa then used the ropes to propel herself high up into the air before landing deftly inside the ring on her feet.

While Tsubasa was making her entrance to the ring, another LAW wrestler was making her entrance into her seat in the crowd. "It's Teuila's first match since our meetup," said Noelle Silva, mostly only paying attention to Tsubasa so she could compare her to Teuila. "Well, let's see what you're able to do."

Teuila took a deep breath in preparation as she clenched her fists, focusing on the match ahead while her opponent's entrance continued on for a bit. Something that for once Teuila didn't mind. Not because of nerves mind you, but because she was steeling herself while getting psyched up, mentally going over the lessons Noelle had taught her, knowing she would be watching tonight, and that she had to make this opportunity count. Not like the last match she had.

Sighing as she finished Teuila would make her way to the entrance ramp, the generic entrance music kicking up as Teuila came out, posing for the crowd to a decent amount of cheers mixed in with some boos. Partially from her general attitude and gutsiness in past matches, but her defeat at Noelle's hands definitely hurting her rep, not to mention her association with a certain family of heels.

No matter what though Teuila would make her way down the ramp, still wearing her yellow leotard from the young lioness program while silently vowing to herself tonight was the night she'd start down the path to not wear this anymore, that she would make progress to graduating.

Making it to the ring itself Teuila would turn and see Noelle watching her, flashing the woman a small smile mouthing 'watch me.' to her and then finally entering the ring. As he did so Teuila surveyed her opponent and nodded to herself, knowing she could do this, she just had to stay focused. Approaching Tsubasa the Samoan girl would hold her hand out to the woman, offering a handshake before the match started as a sign of good sportsmanship!

Tsubasa sensed nothing less than pure determination radiating off of Teuila when she made her entrance. The only thing that seemed to break the girl's concertation was when she looked for someone in the crowd and seemed to say something to her. Then her focus went straight back onto the idol, not that the bluenette was put-off or intimidated whatsoever.

Tsubasa gladly took Teuila's hand when offered, with no intent for foul play. "Hello, it's nice to meet you," said the bluenette as they shook. "Somebody important in the crowd? It looked like that was the only thing that could pull your attention." Tsubasa smiled as she put her hands behind her back and leaned slightly forward as she waited for a response.

Once Teuila had responded, and assuming she didn't do anything unexpected, Tsubasa would flash the Samoan girl another bright smile before retreating back into her corner to wait for the bell. Once it rang, the idol would burst out of her corner with speed and aggression. It was no secret that Tsubasa liked using her breasts and butt to fight; she had opened her career by charging and leaping chest first at her opponent after all. But Tsubasa decided to try mixing things up today to throw Teuila off. She'd still charge and leap at the lioness, but this time she would lead with something much less soft. Specifically, a Shining Wizard hoping to bury the idol's knee into her opponent's belly, "Let's put on a show to remember, Teuila!"

Entering the ring and standing across her opponent still with her focused expression Teuila would allow a small smile to come across her face as the idol approached and grasped hold of her hand as well, giving it a firm shake while also asking her a question. One that made her release a soft chuckle in response. "Heh, same here." She said first in a nod to Tsubasa's first greeting before continuing. "You can say something like that... She's the woman I'm going to beat after I bat you." Teuila said with a confident and bold expression, her eyes glimmering in determination before stepping backwards and raising her hands up in preparation for the match' start!

As soon as it did things started up between them fast and furious with them, or rather specifically with Tsubasa instead coming running at Teuila like a bat out of hell, approaching her while leaping forward with her knee extended out towards her! Eyes widening at the woman's speed Teuila knew that she had to act quick! Keeping her cool with a bite of her lip the brunette would focus on reacting as she quickly sidestepped the incoming knee from her opponent! If successful in doing so she would try and reach out to try and wrap her arms around her opponent's waist after she landed! "I couldn't agree more!" Teuila said if successful before pulling back to try and land a german suplex!

"I can appreciate looking to the future, but don't get too far ahead of yourself, Teuila," Tsubasa said before making her return to the corner. The idol was flying through the air as soon as bell rung, leading with her knee as she tried to blast through Teuila. But the Samoan wasn't going to just stand there and take it, so Tsubasa soon found herself flying past as the Lioness dodged.

But even as Tsubasa sensed Teuila's arms closing in to grab her for a reversal, she was not frazzled. The moment her foot touched the ground, the bluenette spun around to face the Lioness, twisting her waist out of Teuila's grip before she ever had enough time to try to get a get a good hold on the idol. "Can't ground me that easy!" she said.

Looking to keep up the pressure, Tsubasa would fire off a kick at Teuila's body right after spinning free of the Suplex attempt. Whether it hit or was block, the idol would follow it up with a much stronger kick. Backing up into the ropes, Tsubasa would bounce off back towards Teuila, leap up, and try to plant a Dropkick right into Teuila's chest.

Teuila was focused and determined, ready to win this match and prove herself, especially with Noelle watching. Right out of the gate it appeared that Tsubasa was living up to the speedy agility that the lightweight division was known for, approaching Teuila and prompting the rookie to avoid the move and try for a suplex in turn to take the woman down from the get go.

Unfortunately however her reactions were quicker than Teuila gave her credit for as she turned sharply, breaking from her grip and lashing out with a kick at her! "Ngh!" Teuila grunted from the stinging pain, forced to stumble back a step, looking up just in time to see her opponent come right back at her wit a follow up drop kick! "Agh!" Teuila yelled out in pain as she was sent onto the mat, holding her chest and winded from the blow.

Tsubasa's first attack might not have worked, but her second attack did as her leg connected with Teuila's stomach. Then the idol's third attack worked even better, as her Dropkick sent the Samoan sprawling onto her back. Tsubasa had successfully taken the first advantage of the match, now she had to find a way to turn it into more.

Up above, Noelle frowned as she saw Teuila get knocked down. She leaned forwards, elbow on her knee, and hand propping up her chin. "Well, let's see how you respond," she muttered to herself.

Tsubasa's Dropkick had but the idol on her own ass, with her feet closer to Teuila than anything else. So the bluenette would have to get a bit creative if she wanted to make a follow-up. Tsubasa would pull one leg back while planting her other foot into the mat, then push herself forward with it as she swung the leg she had pulled back up in a high arc with the intent to bring it down onto Teuila's stomach. If Tsubasa succeeded, then she would push off of the Lioness's stomach and throw herself forward, hoping to land chest first onto Teuila's face so that she could Breast Smother the Samoan.

Teuila groaned in pain on the mat after being laid out by Tsubasa's dropkick, the move having caught her totally off guard and leaving her out of it. 'Damn.. Noelle's watching... I have to do better.' The Samoan girl thought to herself, looking up in time to catch sight of the idol's leg raising up before it started to come down, aimed for her stomach!

Eyes widening as she saw this Teuila acted on instinct, raising a leg up of her own to block the downwards kick with her foot! If successful in doing this she would pull her legs in and attempt to roll backwards onto her feet. If successful and getting back to her feet Teuila would then wait for Tsubasa to get back up as well before dashing forward, raising her arm up to try for a clothesline attempt!

Tsubasa had the momentum, which meant that all she had to do was keep it up without missing a beat. However, unfortunately for the idol, as one may have noted when they saw Teuila block her kick, it was much easier to keep the beat of a choreographed solo dance than a wrestling match with an opponent who was actively trying to disrupt and stop you.

But Tsubasa knew that too. She knew that a single string of attacks was only enough to end fights with either great luck or an obscenely one-sided matchup. The bluenette would've liked to have the former, but it didn't begrudge her too much when Teuila managed to roll away. What Tsubasa was a bit upset about, though, was getting clocked by the Samoan's outstretched arm as she tried to get up.

"Urg!" grunted Tsubasa as she was sent right back down to the mat, this time not of her own volition. Looking to counter quickly, the idol would just barely sit up, only coming up enough for her back to be off of the mat. Then with her weight focused all onto her hips and butt, Tsubasa would spin herself around, legs outstretched to catch Teuila on the way. After making a wide sweep, Tsubasa would turn her body to get her feet back underneath her, hopefully allowing her to stand back up without issue this time.

Teuila had gotten off to a not so great start in this match against Tsubasa by being taken down early on, but she wasn't going to go down easily and fired back as she got up with a firm lariat to take Tsubasa down to the mat in return! Dropping her arm and smiling Teuila was about to turn towards her opponent to continu, only to get her legs taken out from her before she could!

"Ngh!" Teuila grunted out before instinctively pushing up and rolling forward to get some distance from Tsubasa while also moving to get her feet under her a bit easier. Popping up to her feet afterwards she would immediately turn around to focus on her opponent, trying to be ready for whatever she could have next. "That all you got?" Teuila asked before starting to circle the lightweight.
