Bears, Butterflies, & Body Slams: Mikuma Sato vs Raquel Masters

Mikuma managed to escape Raquel's Suplex attempt, but the bear-themed Joshi knew she was far from safe. She quickly turned around, anticipating some kind of retaliation from the increasingly irritated Raquel Masters. However, this time, Mikuma was prepared...having experienced one of Raquel's kicks earlier, the keen-eyed rookie saw the woman swing her leg around, building up speed and power for another devastating Roundhouse Kick, but THAT'S when Mikuma struck!!! She caught Raquel's leg, just BARELY blocking it with the palms of her hands as her leg made brief contact with the back of her neck. The bear-themed rookie stumbles forward a step but catches herself, letting out a wince of pain but remaining steadfast. She quickly attempts to drag Raquel down to the mat and force her into a Stretch Muffler, scrambling across the floor as she tries to counteract the woman's original kick attempt with a surprise submission counter.

Things kept getting worse for Raquel. The big flabby rookie moved quick and caught her kick, the hold she put Raquel in seemingly making her knee... hell her whole leg... explode in pain! "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Raquel howled as she was caught and didn't have a way out. She was swinging her fists into Mikuma's arm and trying to angle her free leg to strike at Mikuma but the experienced Raquel kept falling. Failing. The rookie who was nervous and seemed to not know what to do in a ring continued to easily take it to a struggling Raquel.

Mikuma continued to tighten her hold over Raquel's leg, aiming to take a bit of power out of the woman's moveset as she targeted her leg. Raquel continued to strike at the bear-themed rookie, smashing her fists and free leg against Mikuma's body wherever she could hit. It hurt a lot, but Mikuma continued to hold her ground for as long as she could, applying a little more torque to the Stretch Muffler before releasing Raquel. If Raquel was too busy recoiling in pain, Mikuma would stand her on her feet and grab one of her arms. She'd turn and wrap around her opponent, coiling Raquel's arm behind her before YANKING her back around and SLAMMING her own arm across the woman's chest, aiming to FLATTEN her against the canvas with a Ripcord Lariat!!! "ORA!!!" Mikuma yelled, feeling a little more confidence surge within her.

Raquel's humilation mounted and continued as the larger woman yanked her up, keeping hold of an arm. Raquel was whipped and pulled back, raising her leg up to try to plant Mikuma with a kick only to get crushed by the lariat and sent crashing down to the mat in a heap. She was being trashed by this rookie and seemed powerless to stop it leaving her to wonder if she really was just not good enough to amount to anything more than a really good mid-carder in a ring with no shot at ever winning gold while laying on the mat in agony.

Mikuma pulls Raquel around, swings her arm, and the Lariat connects with FORCE!!! The resulting hit leaves the lightweight gasping for air as she is laid out across the canvas by Mikuma...the young prodigy packed plenty of power into her strikes, and now that she was finally overcoming her usual bout with her stage fright, she felt unstoppable. She slaps her palms across her chest, letting out a great big roar like a raging grizzly bear. The crowd cheers in response, and the once-shy, bear-themed wrestler is now in her element, tapping into her potential as she stands firm against her more experienced foe. She goes for a Standing Splash across Raquel's body, and if she succeeds, she'll quickly cover the butterfly-themed grappler for a potential pinfall!!!

The smaller Raquel is still laying on the mat when the splash comes and flattens her! "UGH!" Raquel howls as she kicks her legs meekly to the mat while being pinned. The official comes in and counts as the humiliated Raquel feels powerless.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"Get off my you damn pudgy bear! RAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Raquel shouts as she bridges up, arching her back and managing to bridge out of the pin after two! She flops back to the mat gasping for breath and hurting but the match is still going. That was something. Raquel had to do something about it though and she was so hurt she wasn't sure what to do. She could hammer this fat cow all day and it did nothing. Two hits from her sent a lightweight like Raquel flopping to the canvas.

Mikuma thought that she had the cover secured, but Raquel managed to break the pin by the skin of her teeth, raising her shoulders off the mat just after the count of two!!! The bear-themed wrestler groans, having believed that it was the end...but her opponent still had the wherewithal within her to keep pushing her, driving her to not give up, even as she grew increasingly frustrated at her younger opponent. After watching Raquel flop back down to the canvas in pain, the blue-haired rookie saw a chance to pick up the pieces and keep things going. She hadn't lost her momentum yet, and Raquel appeared to be too weak to fight back. Mikuma believed Raquel to be out of commission somewhat, seemingly operating on instinct alone, so the young Japanese woman would grab Raquel by the arm, aiming to hoist her into the air for a slam of sorts...at this point, Mikuma's guard was down...

Raquel moaned as she was hauled up by the arm but she knew she had to do something. She wasn't going to let herself simply be thrown to a rookie to make the new girl look good! She was lift up but as Mikuma reached the top of her lift Raquel pushed off to fall behind Mikuma, trying to grab hold of the big womans head to all back with her hoping to turn this into an unexpected reverse DDT against the big bear of a wrestler! Raquel was desperate moreso than she ever wanted to admit against such a rookie but she had to do something to fight back...

Mikuma attempts to raise Raquel up for another slam, but all of a sudden, the lightweight weaseled her way out of the bear-themed Joshi's hold, finding herself behind Mikuma and counteracting the bear's attempt with a Reverse DDT that sees Mikuma being SLAMMED into the canvas against the back of her head. The young rookie howls and whines in pain, frantically clutching at her head as she cries out in agony, kicking her feet and rolling around the ring in a daze.

Raquel managed to take down Mikuma and she wanted to keep her there. the lightweight staggered to her feet, her body still hurting. However Raquel wanted to win. She had to win. She couldn't let some rookie just show up and beat her otherwise the haters who said she never deserved a shot at the lightweight title and that her Apex loss exposed her would be right. Raquel jumped up and tucked her legs up looking to crash down on the mid-section of Mikuma with a double knee drop! Raquel was not messing around and trying to hammer Mikuma with as much damage as possible as quickly as possible.
