Calling Out An Idol

Lauren had been on a bit of a rough patch to say the least lately. The big slam-centric blonde had a few losses very criticized as well especially one against Sakura Hagiwara. While Lauren had nothing against her personally Sakura represented everything Lauren wasn't: Young, popular, fit and easily advertised to attract fans.

The oldschool lady clad in a blue one piece swimsuit was here to make a statement. Her music played and she stomped her way down to the ring scowling with a mic in hand.

"Listen up everyone! I am tired of being seen as a big flabby laughing stock jobber. I am going to show you all that I am not a woman to mess with! I know a lot of you point out cutesy little Sakura having beaten me before and yeah she won.... but she can't repeat that performance! She got lucky against me before and I want her to get out here to this ring right now! I have a little proposal....."

Sakura sighed softly in content backstage. Dressed in her ring gear despite not having a match tonight she was here for photo shoots mostly, and maybe for a impromptu bout if the opportunity or need came up. It was honestly a relaxing time for her and she needed it with the run of bad luck she had been having in her matches as of late. Sipping some tea while watching the current show on a screen in the back Sakura would raise her eyebrow as Lauren came out.

The larger woman and Sakura were no strangers and not necessarily on great terms, but Sakura liked to think after their last match that there was some level of respect or benevolence. As Lauren spoke however, with disrespect for Sakura blatant in her voice, those thoughts were quickly dashed. Frowning in disappointment at what she was hearing Sakura quickly stood up and made her way to the entrance ramp, the techs quickly moving to play her music as she came out with a mic in hand, standing before the crowd who began cheering and chanting her name.

Smiling softly from this Sakura would let her music die down before focusing her attention on Lauren. "Lauren... if you wanted a match...all you had to do was ask me to my face." Sakura said with a glare as she walked down the ring, pausing only so she could roll inside before standing up and marching right up to get in Lauren's face. "Insulting me wasn't neccessary. But now I'm here. So what's this proposition? Sakura said bluntly and to the point, not wanting to entertain Lauren's inferiority complex any longer than neccessary.

"Insult? I am just telling you the truth." Lauren said. "As for a match? Pure wrestling to show who has the skill to win. Best 2 of 3 falls with standard rules." Lauren said as she paused and smiled. "What do you say to that?"

Lauren was holding her breath. She needed Sakura to accept this. Lauren also had to go on and win this. She called Sakura out and this loss was one of the losses her detractors pointed to the most saying that Lauren didn't belong in LAW. She was going to make a display of this and show the singer that the older wrestler could slam her way to a victory over her. Sakura wasn't going to beat her at her own game again.

Coming down to the ring meaning business Sakura wasted no time demanding answers and explanations for Lauren for why she called her out to the ring. Or really how Lauren wanted to do this since it was rather obvious she wanted a tie breaker match between the two of them which Sakura could understand. What she didn't take kindly to was Lauren insulting her, and now doubling down on it.

So when Lauren said she wanted a two out of three falls match... Sakura already knew what her answer was. "I accept. If for no other reason than to make you shut up once and for all." Sakura said determinedly before smirking slightly. "In fact... when I win, I'll need you to admit that I'm the better wrestler, in front of everyone here! Otherwise no match. Sound fair?" Sakura said, upping the ante as it were, and just waiting on Lauren's response.

Lauren listend to Sakura's offer and nodded with a smile on her face. "I accept. I happily accept. You aren't bad but when you just show up have immediate popularity, and immediate push from the bosses without real wrestling experience when there are woman who worked their way up through the indies I take exception. I am gonna bodyslam that bouncy butt of yours for all the women who struggled to get noticed for years wrestling in bingo halls and dusty old gyms to get their shot over women who have had it handed to them on a silver platter!" Lauren said dropping her mic and standing tall, flexing her biceps.

Sakura continued to glare at Lauren all throughout her answer, not liking it at all. "If thats really what you think Lauren... you don't know a thing about me! I've fought and clawed and suffered my way through the ranks! If anything my fame prior to wrestling was a handicap at first! But now... I've owned it and made it into a strength, I've blazed a path for other idols to break into wrestling, and I'm not about to lose to some.. some.. flabby old loser taking her anger out on me in a midlife crisis!" Sakura snapped at Lauren, struggling at first with a insult but once it started it flowed out with the crowd immediately bursting with reactions of various kinds for what she said!

"Oh yeah, having millions of fans and the spotlight from day one in LAW must have been so tough!" Lauren said before she shoved Sakura! "I can't wait to bodyslam you so hard that mouth of yours stays shut!" Lauren said as she stepped up again to Sakura standing chest to chest with her. Lauren now wanted nothing more than to absolutely dominate against Sakura to hammer her point home.
