Rosie Knuckles vs. Phoebe Justice

Rules: The winner must pin, submit, or knock out her opponent to win.

Ready for Combat by Icon for Hire hit as the arena went dark. Rosie Knuckles came out as the spotlight shone on her to a loud reaction of cheers and boos. The cute, pinkette brawler stood in her typical attire, holding up a fist with a mean look on her face as she soaked in the reaction before throwing her fist forward and pounding her chest, letting out a loud roar to amp up the crowd further. She didn't care whether they loved her or hated her; Rosie just wanted to hear them get loud for her.

It was Rosie's first match from her minor injury to her shoulder that kept her out of having her Apex Match. It was something that had pissed her off quite a bit and had bottled up to make her even more angry as the time went on. She knew this was her shot to have a huge match and it fell flat because of her injury keeping her out of it, and she had a lot to make up and a lot of frustration to let out. And she'd do that against her opponent tonight. The results of that injury had left athletic tape on her shoulder to provide further support to the injured area to help her get through the match without further injury. It also didn't help that she needed her shoulder for much of her offense.

But nevertheless, she was ready to scrap now after having spent time on the shelf, keeping a fist in the air as she went down the ramp. As Knuckles was passing a camera, she waved over and then spoke into it. "I'm fucking back. And I'm pissed off. And someone is getting knocked out for it!" And then she resumed walking to the ring before rolling under the bottom rope. Swiftly, she made her way to her corner, standing on the middle rope and throwing her fist in the air again, getting another mixed roar from the crowd as she started shouting out to them, gesturing to herself and generally hyping up both them and herself. She would then hop off the turnbuckle and then turn to wait for her opponent, doing some last minute stretches, paying particular mind to her hurt shoulder.

With Apex over, and the Openweight champion having been crowned, Phoebe found herself in quite a changed place compared to when she arrived just over half-a-year ago. Wrestling was a rapidly changing business, and one had to adapt to achieve goals for oneself going forward. Admittedly, Phoebe didn’t want to go for the Openweight title quite yet. For now, she wanted to raise her stock a good bit before trying to go for anything big.

Rosie was a perfect opponent to do that against. She had a solid reputation as a Lightweight brawler, even if, just like Phoebe, she didn’t end up getting a match at Apex, though with Phoebe, it was mostly the timing of her debut happening smack dab in the middle of the qualifiers for the tour. With Rosie, it was an injury to her shoulder, something that seemingly hasn’t properly healed, as seeing the brawler walk out to the ring, the athletic tape was fully visible for the Detective to see…

…and as much as she didn’t want to exploit an obvious weakness, Phoebe was going to do whatever it took to win.

Phoebe drove in on the motorcycle to her theme tune, slowly driving down the ramp, managing to get a few high fives to the folks in the front row, before driving half a circle around the ring, leaving her bike near the entrance ramp.

From there, Phoebe would effortlessly jump onto the ring apron in one motion, before jumping onto the top rope and doing a backflip into the ring, landing with her right hand pressed to the ground, while her left hand was outstretched in a superheroic pose, before rising, and striking a different one for the camera!

With her music quieting down, Phoebe would take off her jacket and mask, passing them to a backstage hand outside of the ring, as she got ready for the match, stretching with her eyes not leaving Rosie out of sight...

Rosie Knuckles stayed in the ring as Phoebe was making her way down on her bike. Completely overwrought, thought Rosie as she rolled her eyes. She wanted to fight. She didn't need all of these theatrics and the nonsense that came with them. Even more nonsense when the girl was out here striking poses. Outright laughing, Rosie shook her head as she waited in the corner. She just needed to bell to ring. The Pink-Haired Pugilist was ready to get back into another battle, and Phoebe was in her way.

Stepping to the middle of the ring as the match was about to get underway, Rosie Knuckles held her arms up and then stated Phoebe down. "Looking real hard tonight with your dorky poses," remarked the lightweight brawler with a smirk. She was ready for this thing to start.

Phoebe heard Rosie's laughter at her posing, but she paid little mind to that. She heard plenty of criticizms of her "dorkiness", but at the end of the day, she loved looking like a super hero, and she hit hard against anyone who had a problem with her on that end. So once she was inside, with the pink-haired woman calling her out, Phoebe had a simple reply to her foe:

"Gonna try even harder to kick your jaw off"

With both women more than ready to tussle, the bell would ring...

"DING DING DING!"

And the match would be on!

Phoebe, seeing that her opponent wanted to start the fight as soon as possible, would dash out of her corner, arm prepared to ram her forearm across Rosie's chest!

Rosie Knuckles let out a laugh as she heard Phoebe's retort, brushing her nose with her fist. The Pink-Haired Pugilist loved when she could get her opponent fired up early on. It made these fights so much sweeter. But the small brawler was preparing herself for the start of the match, and when the bell rang, she was more than ready to go all out.

Justice was the first to make a move as she rushed at Knuckles. Rosie waited until Phoebe got close before ducking under the forearm strike and going to the opposite side of her foe! Nodding firmly, Rosie waited until Phoebe turned and then went to grab her hair. She would then start firing forearms of her own towards Justice's head! She wanted to fire off with some stiff strikes while she could early on, and wanted to show she couldn't just bully her around early on. And Rosie had more than enough power behind her smaller form to make that clear.

Phoebe could tell that her rival's trash talk came less from genuine anger towards her presentation... and more just wanting to talk smack to a rival. Phoebe could respect that... as well as respecting her wish of going all out in the match, doing her damnest to beat her into the ground!

Sadly for Phoebe, however, her tactic to rush Rosie would end up as a failure, the pinkette ducking out of the way, and as the Detective tried to turn around, grabbed at her hair, hammering hard forearms into her head!

"MGGH! GHHH!!!"

Phoebe grunted out in pain, but keeping her instincts by her, trying to launch a knee strike to Rosie's stomach to separate the two away from each other!

Rosie was launching a seemingly unending assault of forearms directly at her opponent. One after another, she sent her powerful strikes into Phoebe's skull, and that was where Knuckles was at her best, with a straight pummeling.

After enough of them, it seemed like Justice had her fill and came back with a counter attack of her own. A knee strike.hit the toned midsection of Rosie, stopping her in her tracks. She stumbled back, doubled over as one hand cradled her stomach. The hit hurt quite a bit, and it stopped her from continuing to waylay her right there.

...But it wouldn't stop her for long. As Rosie Knuckles was turning back to face Phoebe, still doubled over, she would then try to surprise her bigger opponent with a double-leg takedown. The move was meant to be a set up for her to get on top of her opponent, if successful, and try to execute a wicked ground and pound on her, looking to target her head again with punches this time!

Phoebe groaned as she managed to get Rosie away from her, holding her hurting head as she tried to take a moment to recover... but while the pinkette was doubled over, she decided not to waste any time recovering her breath, instead grabbing Phoebe's legs, and taking her down back-first on the floor!

"Agh!"

The fall didn't hurt, but she knew she wouldn't be able to throw Rosie off in time as she mounted her. She swiftly covered her face, trying to avoid critical damage to her face! Needless to say, the match did not start in Phoebe's favor, as she tried to buckle her rival off her perch!

Rosie Knuckles had successfully taken down her opponent. A dangerous position, as it allowed her to unload her fists directly into Phoebe's face. She continued to throw left and rights at her while she was on top of her, wanting to simply do as much damage. It was a typical wear down tactic for her--any successful strike would take out more than enough of any woman's fight. And it was better to get them off earlier than later.

But eventually, Justice was able to fight back. She bucked Rosie off of her, sending the Pink-Haired Pugilist backwards before she pushed and then staggered up to her feet again, holding a fist up high to a loud mixed reaction. "What do you got, huh!?" yelled Rosie, scowling at Phoebe. She was ready and wanting to keep delivering more blows to Phoebe. This time, however, she'd run forward and attempt to smash her boot into Justice's face, wanting to continue targeting her head! A simple strike that would no doubt continue battering her opponent if successful!

With a hard jerk up, Phoebe managed to get Rosie off her perch. The pinkette definitely held the upper hand since the start of the match... but as Phoebe rose to a sitting position, she was determined to turn things around! Rosie on the other hand, wanted to simply kick the Detective's head off her shoulders!

At the last moment, however, Phoebe would move her head to the side to dodge, and quickly grab Rosie's leg to keep her in place! Swiftly rising, she would try and practically jump from her sit, she would ram her leg into her rival's head for a vicious Enzuigiri!
