Potency: Reika Magalei vs. Karina Rine

LAW. What a fascinating place. Undoubtedly one of the best places to find hard-hitting action in the ring, but also a place of softness and lewdness. And while the latter was its own sport, in an odd way, there were two reasons why Reika was here, and one of them was the former. To fight the very best the world had to offer, to trade blows with giants, and hone her craft until she was sharp enough to slice through any and everybody she could. And the other reason? Well, that could come another day. For now, Reika couldn't focus on that, for she had someone quite vehement lined up in front of her.

Karina Rine. The Behemoth, now calling herself the Vehemencer, was her first opponent in LAW. A physically imposing woman who had a reputation in the ring for her power and hard-hitting affairs, though typically she faced... larger women for such affairs. But Reika was out to prove that just because she was in the middleweight division as appointed to her, didn't mean she couldn't match up and throw down with anyone. She was a standout in her matches prior, using tactics fitting a woman 5 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier than her to dismantle her foes and leave them wrecked in the ring. Now, it was time to see if she could apply those tactics to a woman who was quite literally 5 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier than her.

Making her entrance first, Reika adorned her brown leather jacket and those black shades along with her mixed green attire. There was little interest to playing to the crowd, and thus she walked straight down to the ring, ignoring the jeers of the fans, marching right up the steps and stepping into the ring through the ropes. All that was on her mind was the beast she was about to face, and how she was going to endure her. And not just endure her, but put her down too. She was out to prove herself in her debut, no matter how imposing her opponent may be.

When it came to fighting opponents in LAW, Karina seemed to be getting a challenge from every division so far. From Heavy weights to Light weights, some of them were asked, requested and a few even outright challenged Karina backstage to get what they wanted, a match with a heavyweight that was formerly known as the Beast, yet now went by a new name; the Vehemencer. It wasn't exactly a word known but the meaning behind it would no doubt default to the actual word, and it would be decipher as a person, rather than a explanation of emotion.

It wasn't long until the music would blast out through the arena once her opponent had taken their spot in the ring, the lights redirected back to the stage, where her opponent would make themselves known. Karina, adorning her usual attire, would enter the playing field and was the next in line to fight Reika. While stats wise they seemed completely unbalanced, Karina knew better than to underestimate her opponents. After all, she had been in a similar spot against a fighter named Mary, who was a lot bigger than Karina but ultimately fell to Karina's experience, strength and skill.

Karina made her way down the ramp, taking a moment to rub the side of her neck and smooth out her bangs from the sides while she made her journey towards the ring. Once closer, she would use the metal staircase to ascend the ringside. She would push the top and middle ropes wide apart so she could bring one foot inside first, followed by the rest of her body. Karina stood tall and looked over at her opponent, making her way to the middle of the ring while adjusting the tightness of her fingerless gloves. While Karina wasn't one to speak out first, she figured she might as well since she entered last.

"You got the looks, now let's see if you got the power."

Karina's tone was a bit stern, but at the very least Karina didn't have her usual grumpy or annoyed expression on her face. At most, she looked indifferent, like she reserved her judgement until she was met with proper experience of her opponent, even if it meant pain on her side.

Reika slid off her jacket during Karina's entrance, tossing it aside to let one of the ring workers scoop it up and save it for her. Unlike Karina, she didn't like wearing her jacket during her matches, wearing her tribal, family tattoos proudly along her lean arms. She was only half Samoan on her father's side, but studying him and his practices, she decided to carve the same marks he had onto herself. Having them as a reminder of who she had to live up to in this ring. And against a daunting challenge such as Karina Rine, who's size advantage became apparent once the two stood together in that ring, she needed all the strength she could get.

Not shedding her shades, Reika merely looked up at Karina as she spoke, a lack of true emotion on her face, matching her opponent's own indifference. She was the rookie here, yet it was as though she was looking at the Vehemencer as though she was the one who had to prove herself. Before eventually, sliding her shades off, and letting her brown gaze meet the taller woman's yellow. Again, not much emotion, outside of a bit of a twinkle of... excitement. Karina at least got that out of her.

A quick flash of a smirk, before Reika stepped back, adjusting her own fingerless gloves and the straps on her top, waiting for the bell to ring. And once it did, she stepped back in, eyes analyzing her foe and trying to predict what her next actions would be. Though, she had the feeling she wouldn't have to predict much, as she presented a challenge to Karina. Her hands raised up, vying for a test of strength. "Let's put it to the test." Reika's voice was quiet, yet possessed a calculating and sinister edge to it, telling she knew what she was doing. Or at least, she thought she knew what was she was doing. Others may think differently, challenging the Vehemencer to a test of strength while already giving up such a size advantage to her.

But the look in her eye said she wasn't afraid. If Karina wanted to see Reika's power, there was no better way to start off than like this.

There was a brief moment of tension when her opponent was adjusting her outfit, which was something Karina would pretty much follow. Normally Karina would keep her own short jacket on, mostly because it added a bit of flair to the rest of her outfit. Yet, if her opponent did it, then so would Karina. It might be considered a sort of sheep behavior, but Karina figured there was no real harm done in matching her opponent, not to mention to deny some extra material that could be grabbed in the middle of the fight. She tossed her jacket out of the ring, letting the staff members deal with either neatly putting it away or at the very least away from the ring to not be a nuisance later.

Karina would bring her hands together, massaging her wrists one by one before her attention went fully upon her opponent. It was odd to see Reika beating her to the punch, and not in a literal fashion but rather going for a starting move that Karina often applied on others who would dare to challenge her in ways of powers. Karina did not hesitate, bringing her hands up to entwine their fingers together, up until the palms of Karina's hands would gently clap and press against Reika's palms but she did not apply pressure just yet, she was aiming to keep it fair after all, not to mention starting slow would give her a clearer sign of her opponent's strength.

"..Ready when you are."

Karina finally said after firmly clasping onto Reika's hands, waiting for her opponent to either increase the pressure slowly or instantly. Either way, Karina would meet with her opponent head on with strength and stubbornness.

Reika tilted her head when she saw Karina discard her jacket, a rarity from what she had seen and heard, but wasn't going to complain. More of the Vehemencer's body was bared, with those strong arms and shoulders going on display for the match. It only spoke to the prowess of the woman in front of her, and it made Reika more excited to try and match her power. Especially so when Karina met the challenge laid out, clasping their hands together, locking them together with no option of backing out now. Not that she wanted to, of course, win or loss. This was a feeling out process more than anything, to assess just what that power felt like in person, and go from there.

And when Karina declared her readiness, Reika began to push in, flexing her arms and back to try and muscle her larger opponent backward. The defining skill of the Magalei's was her power, on par of that of heavyweights, and though she was shorter and weighed less, she still had confidence in her ability to shove Karina back. "No shame in losing... you wouldn't be the first," Reika briefly spoke, as though to try and rattle her foe in the test-of-strength, ready to feel that power returned to her, feet bracing against the mat for it, and eyes staring up at Karina's.

Telling her to give it her all. She wouldn't want it any other way.

With the test of strength underway, Karina ramped up the pressure in terms of strength rapidly. It was a slow start, but like a engine, it would begin to rev up until Karina would began to push in the earnest. Her opponent taunted her, no doubt an effort to distract Karina and make her feel angered by being taunted, yet Karina kept her eyes fixated upon her opponent as Karina would reply in kind.

"Big talk, but let's see if it can match your bite."

Karina would tense up her muscles and send a surge of power forward, looking to dominate Reika now by showing a lot more of her strength. Karina pushed forward with angle, looking to either make Reika step backwards or to put so much pressure into Reika's legs that it might ruin her balance. However, Karina knew that it wouldn't be easy, not by a long shot. Her opponent was confident, and she had the power to back it up since she was giving Karina a challenge that was not easily completed.

Reika realized there was no escape now. Once their hands were clasped, it was like the click of a lock. No backing down, no submission, and with how tight Karina’s grip is, no escape. And that was just how Reika wanted it. For two beasts to clash, and the only means of victory being when one of them could not compete anymore. To put their all in and test each other’s mettle, and determine who was stronger.

And despite Reika inviting the challenge, with the Vehemencer’s sudden surge, it was becoming clear that, at least in this exchange, it was Karina. Reika’s boots began to slowly skid against the mat as both pushed in, with the veteran’s might outweighing the newcomer’s. Yet despite the disadvantage, Reika didn’t let her posture loosen or her gaze linger anywhere else that her foe. Showing that she was determined to outmatch her, even with her heels trying to find a hold in the mat to hold strong against.

And when that failed, Reika sought to regain her ground using a different method. Slowly pulling her arms out to the side, she then thrust herself forward, slamming her forehead between the eyes of Karina, and bashing her chest against hers! Hoping such a brute attack would allow her to gain some ground with their bodies now pressed together, and with their hands now pushing horizontally from each other’s torsos.

When the test of strength had officially started, Karina would not go for a slow approach, she wanted the woman to know that the moment she would accept standoffs like these, that Karina would come in swinging and with full force, a vanguard of might that Karina wanted to show. She pushed into Reika, eyes fixated upon her opponent, waiting impatiently for any change within those eyes, as if waiting out weakness that she could see as a sign of a struggle.

Power was the game and Karina was it's console, she was working with it, showing that she wasn't a pushover and that any attempt of her opponent becoming a wall would be met with the sheer amount of force that threatened to break it. Her opponent went for a different game once things became more evident in terms of Karina's approach and spread their arms apart, causing the rift between their bodies to close and for Reika to smash her forehead in Karina's face, causing Karina to flinch and briefly halt her pushing power, forced back a single step before she solidified herself back into a vengeful front. She didn't seem to care much that Reika's breasts were bulging against her own, the way their fronts were starting to glue together from all the closeness.

"That was a mistake."

Karina hissed, quickly pushing back into Reika with a vengeance, deciding to keep pushing forward despite their arms being spread out, Karina would use her entire body as a weapon if need to be.

Even after that headbutt, the resistance of Karina’s was equivalent to that of a brick wall. Moving back merely a step before surging back forward, Reika felt her muscles strain under the overwhelming power, her chest becoming glued to the larger woman’s thanks to their spread arms allowing their torsos to push in against each other. Until eventually, Reika felt her back hit the corner, with her grunt acting as the indicator of who was the stronger of the two.

Yet she didn’t falter. Grunting at the effort, in disappointment, yet the look in her eyes was still cold and untelling. She realized such an outcome was possible, but that didn’t mean she’d give in so easily or express shock. It just meant she needed to move on and improvise. To flex her power elsewhere than direct competition like this.

However, her position trapped in the corner was still one she needed to figure a way out of. Clearly, she couldn’t push out of it. And their close proximity meant her striking power was limited. She saw only one way out, though she wasn’t sure just how effective it’d be after her first strike did little to back down the Vehemencer. But she saw little choice.

“Show me then,” was Reika’s simple response, before going back to the well once more with another headbutt right between the eyes of Karina’s!

Now things would become a little more personal. She had achieved her result of bringing Reika against the corner, but capitalizing on that was next to impossible thanks to the second headbutt coming right in her face. It was enough to make Karina release her opponent and stumble backwards, a looking of anger now replacing Karina's face. The woman wanted to brawl? Well as the former brawler she would just have to indulge her. Karina's head was hurting, but it wasn't going to make her default to a more defensive approach against Reika.

Karina shook her head, taking a few seconds to re-focus her efforts but it allowed Reika the time to easily get out of the corner and away from it, though right now Karina was more focused on giving Reika a taste of her own medicine, though using her head for that was off the menu for the time being, at least until it stopped hurting.

Instead, Karina would raise her right arm and launched it forward, her hand clenching into a tight fist as Karina would try to send a vicious haymaker straight towards Reika's cheek! Wrestling will have to wait, at least until Reika would be a bit more obedient in following Karina's forced orders.
