Izumi was off to a pretty hot start in LAW thus far if she didn't say so herself. Despite having only taken part in three matches to date within her short time in LAW she made a statement out of each match, displaying her skills and tenacity against strong opponent after strong opponent, forming quite the name for herself. There were even some talks about being a potential favorite to face Kyoko. Who knew. Really he didn't care about the success or gold, she was just here to fight.

Tonight though was an interesting one. Unlike before where she was pitted against someone new like herself or an established fighter of LAW, tonight she was considered the veteran coming into this match given it was against a debuting young lioness. The trainees of LAW. Honestly though Izumi was excited, feeling this would be a chance to scout and show more than her skills. Taking a final calming breath Izumi would look up confidently as her music began to play, stepping through the curtain and before the crowd!

Striking a pose for the fans while the announcer did his work Izumi got a significantly louder response than her opponent, though admittedly Izumi wished they would leave out her relationship with Rei, not wanting to ride her sister's coat tails too much. Likewise calling her a rising star was a bit.. presumptuous in her opinion, even if a bit flattering. Either way Izumi would focus on showing off her form in her revealing, two piece outfit with unique add ons and accessories to make it definitively her.

Strutting down the ring with a dancer's grace Izumi would happily high five the fans on her way down until she approached the ring and leap up onto the apron with a smile. Turning and facing the fans one more time and striking a pose before vaulting over the ropes and into the ring. Once inside she would turn to her opponent and flash a smile at the younger woman. "Hello!" Izumi said brightly, approaching the center of the ring with her hand outstretched, offering a friendly handshake to her opponent prior to the match starting!

Karen would watch as her opponent made her entrance , and what she saw annoyed her as it was clear she was dealing with someone who enjoyed riding on the coattails of her family. Someone who could not make it on her own if the fact that the ring announcer had to bring up the fact her opponent was the sister of an former champion. Having finished her entrance Izumi made her way to the center of the ring and offered her hand to her opponent, more than happy to start this match off in a respectful manner between them. Unfortunately that was not a desire that was shared with the young lioness who approached only to slap the blue haired woman's hand away.

Blinking her eyes in surprise at this Izumi would retract her arm while listening to what Karen had to say, and frown while her eyes narrowed, her expression very nearly turning angry before she closed her eyes and took a deep, calming breath. This was exactly why she wished the ring announcer would just stick to her name and not those who shared it. Looking back up at Karen with a calm but stern expression Izumi would clear her throat a bit before responding.

"Arrogance of that level is unbecoming of a trainee especially." Izumi said emphasizing the word trainee to the young lioness. "Secondly I do wish the announcer wouldn't make a big deal of my relationship to my sister, but I imagine you must have similar feelings, given you're mother was mentioned in a similar way for you're entrance no?" Izumi asked with a raised eyebrow, subtly calling Karen out with a displeased look on her face.

Izumi said, staring right into Karena's eyes, her muscles tightened, especially as the ref gave up on trying to seperate the two of them and instead called for the bell, signalling the start of the match!

Oh yeah Izumi definitely didn't like this girl. In fact the more and more she spoke the more Izumi's dislike grew, especially calling her mother a hag. Getting shoved by her opponent as the bell rang Izumi would just crack her neck in preparation. 'Alright then, let's get started.' She thought to herself, knowing exactly how she would pay Karen back for that shove. Pushing forward with one leg towards her foe Izumi would pull her other leg back before shooting it out! "Hi-yah!" Izumi yelled out as she shot her leg out with a scissor kicked aimed directly at Karen's gut to start her lesson in humility off out of the gate!

Using her forward momentum she would bring her extended leg down onto the mat before bringing her other leg up and pivoting, swinging her other leg around for a roundhouse kick at Karen's unprotected side!
