Dance of the Yōkai: Chie Akiyama (D) vs Alba Garcia

To her surprise, Chie's pin attempt was broken up by the admirably vigorous attempts from her poor opponent. Chie, while slightly amused, dismissed this almost immediately after it happened. She anticipated Alba to be too winded...which was partly true given how she was sucking in air for dear life...but she hadn't expected her to have the fortitude to kick out. It was a relatively close call, but Chie would be certain to ensure that this moment wouldn't repeat itself. She grabs Alba by the arm and drags her toward the nearest set of ropes. She lifts Alba's legs, sitting them across the middle cable while having her arms drape over the top. Once she was situated, Chie lined herself up with the strung-up Spanish woman while backing away...After getting a running start, Chie attempts to SLAM Alba into the canvas back-first by sliding out of the ring while grappling her waist, attempting a Rope Hung German Suplex, looking to dish out some major damage!!!

Alba Garcia had managed to kick out at two. She had plenty more left in her reserves right now, and she wasn't about to just hand Chie a win here. She wanted to break her losing streak, and she was far more motivated to make it happen. She looked determined, even as Akiyama began dragging her to her feet and started to push her towards the ropes. Alba wasn't sure what her opponent had planned for her, but she knew she needed to wait for a proper moment to make her move. As such, she was forced to site on the middle rope. Her face wrinkled in confusion, but it became clear that Chie Akiyama had something intense planned, as she was giving herself a running start.

The Spanish Dancer focused. She knew this was make or break right now. She needed to ensure that Chie couldn't do whatever she was attempting to do to her. Sucking in a deep breath, she waited until Alba got close... and then she bounced on that middle rope, letting it propel her up as she swung her body around the top rope. She was grateful she was so good at dancing and gymnastics that it gave her the wherewithal to make that happen! And as she swung up and over, she had evaded Chie's grasp! As her foe would slide out of the ring, Alba continued to swing around that top rope and came back down, aiming to slam both of her boots directly against Chie on the way down, looking to follow Chie right back to the outside in a big way! This was her shot to get back into this match, and she needed to make the most of it!

With Alba placed upon the ropes, Chie figured the girl would've been too far out of it to regain her lost momentum. Much to her surprise, Alba managed to find the will to fight through the pain and recover...not only that, she found the strength and took the risk to try and counter the fox's move. As Chie slid out of the ring, she quickly turned around to see Alba holding herself in the air on the ropes like a gymnast. Quite impressive, Chie had to admit that Alba was raising her expectations by the second. She could commend the lightweight for not giving up so soon, but simple determination wasn't enough to win. Alba would have to claw and scratch and fight her way to victory...As if on cue, the white-haired woman was met with her one-hundred-twenty-five-pound opponent crashing down on top of it. The impact didn't hurt much, but it was enough to throw Chie off her game for a moment, allowing Alba a chance to use this energy to carry her forward toward a win.

Alba swung around and then threw her feet into Chie with great momentum, swinging like a pendulum! The Spaniard would then land down on her back on the outside. The landing stung, but she at least managed to knock Chie down and keep her from immediately coming after her.

With a deep breath, Garcia stood up and held her ailing back, shaking her head with a groan. She looked down at Akiyama and then threw a stomp her way to try and keep her stunned still. "Don't underestimate me!" yelled the dancer before grabbing onto the ropes and pulling herself back up the apron.

She had another move in mind. A flashy maneuver to further hurt Chie while she had the advantage. Alba Garcia waited with her hands gripping the ropes for Chie to start getting up. And then the athletic girl would attempt to leap up onto the middle rope and try to fly back in a flip, aiming to land a huge Asai Moonsault on her opponent! If she could hit this, she'd be in tremendous shape going forward!

However, the fox-themed Joshi overhears her opponent's statement, glancing up to see Alba preparing herself for another assault, likely another high-flying attack!!! Just before the Spanish woman launched herself from the apron, Chie performed a quick backstep, tossing herself backward to avoid Alba's Moonsault. The white-haired woman barely manages to catch herself on the guard rail behind her, narrowly escaping out of harm's way. If not for her reflexes and instinct, Chie would've been crushed again by the Spaniard's attack. She gives Alba a brief smile before addressing her, whether or not Alba managed to stick the landing or crumple to the floor in front of Chie. "I don't mean to disrespect you, girl...You're a competitor, too...and in this ring, we are equals...but I'm not going to baby you either. If you don't want others to overlook you, then prove your worth!!!" Chie said, punctuating her statement with a Superkick aimed at Alba's head!!!

Alba Garcia managed a very graceful Asai Moonsault as she sprung off the middle rope and onto the outside! Unfortunately for her, Chie managed to throw herself out of the way. But very fortunate for the Spanish Dancer, she was still quite nimble! She landed on her feet, nearly stumbling before she turned to face Akiyama, who was monologuing at her.

Keeping a determined gaze on Chie, she kept herself ready as her opponent was wrapping up what she wanted to say. And then, finally, a superkick went for her head! Sucking in a sharp breath, Alba would then roll under the strike towards Chie's side! Springing back up and leaping onto the guard rail! She took a moment to find her footing, nearly stumbling off as she grit her teeth.

"Then overlook this!" exclaimed Alba Garcia, turning to face Akiyama! She would take a couple paces to get momentum as she balanced on the guard rail before leaping off the attempting to hit a flying headscissors takedown on her foe! She wanted to take her back down to the outside once more, hoping to surprise her with the impressive feat of agility!

Chie's Superkick threatened to take Alba's head off her shoulders as the white-haired woman snapped forward in the blink of an eye, her picture-perfect form allowing for the smallest window of opportunity for the Spanish Dancer to dodge. With a very narrow tuck and roll, Alba managed to avoid disaster by a hair's breadth, showcasing her keen skills in both reaction and response time...but that wasn't all. The Spaniard soon launched herself onto the nearby guard rail. Without hesitating, Alba steeled her nerves and planted her feet down before taking flight once again, colliding leg-first with Chie's head, coiling around the neck of Lady Kitsune, and SWINGING her around with a beautiful Headscissors Takedown which sees the fox-themed wrestler tumbling to the ground, groaning and wincing as her back takes the brunt of Alba's high-momentum, agile offense.

Alba Garcia had managed to hit a very impressive and nimble Headscissors Takedown from atop the guard rail, sending Chie onto her back to painfully land on the padded outside! The landing wasn't great for her, but she was able to send far more impact onto her opponent! She popped back up, holding her back and looked out at the crowd, which was cheering loudly for the impressive move! She smiled warmly, not often getting a positive reaction like that, but enjoying it all the same.

The Spanish Dancer would then grab hold of Chie before hoisting her up and sending her back into the ring under the bottom rope! Alba followed, climbing onto the apron and gripping the top rope with both hands. Biting her lip, she waited and scouting for Akiyama, preparing herself for another move! Sucking in a deep breath, Garcia would wait until Chie was almost upright before jumping onto the top rope and attempting a Springboard Dropkick! A big move that would deliver hard impact and look flashy as well!

Chie groans after being flipped over...It was one thing to land on the outside in a rough manner, but it was another thing altogether to be twirled around. The white-haired woman felt as if her brain was scrambled by that move. She shook her head and tried to stand, but Alba beat her to the punch. The Spanish Dancer tossed her back into the ring, but Chie rolled a bit further. She was a little disoriented, but she wasn't completely defenseless. Using her intuition, she surmised that the petite Spanish woman would attempt another move. It was a fairly obvious decision to make. Given the woman's prior momentum and the crowd rallying behind her, Chie expected Alba to seize this opportunity. She was likely going for a flying maneuver, given her acrobatic prowess. Chie glanced briefly at Alba, watching her climb up the apron, holding onto the ropes tightly...but NOT entering the ring after Chie...precisely as she thought. She was waiting for Chie to rise so she could have a clean hit. The fox-themed wrestler, feigning obliviousness, would rise to her feet slowly, stumbling about in a faux daze so that Alba would not suspect anything. However, when the Spanish Dancer LEAPED forward for her attack, Chie quickly sidesteps out of harm's way, allowing the woman to flop across the canvas roughly.

Alba Garcia was ready to fly, wanting to blast Chie Akiyama in the chest with a shotgun-like Springboard Dropkick! She could push her advantage further and deliver a devastating blow to her foe and then be well on her way to take a commanding lead! With a nimble leap, she was on top of the ropes upon seeing Chie almost upright! She then sprung off the top rope and then threw herself forward... and unfortunately for her, Akiyama had anticipated it. The Spanish Dancer would have missed entirely as she dodged!

And unfortunately for her, she landed hard on the mat, landing on her back and tailbone, rolling onto her front immediately as she cried out in pain. The wind was knocked out of her as well. Keeping a hand on her back, she would force herself to stumble to her feet, doubling over and looking distressed. She cursed herself from missing that move, but she knew she couldn't just lay there. But she needed a moment of rest, even through the pain. She grit her teeth, bent over as she tried to will herself to move.
